PC Video Screen Capturing 24 fps Help

Hello,
For a project I need to have someone on a PC video screen capture a software tutorial.
I will be integrating this footage with 24fps Canon 5D footage. Are there are program suggestions that will give me a high quality 24fps video that I can use on their PC?
Thanks
Erik

  • PC VIdeo Screen Capture for Editing in FCP?

    Hello,
I was asked to video screen capture a program on a pc laptop for a tutorial, and to mix it in with my footage that was shot 1440-1080, 30f with my Canon XHA1. Does anyone know the best program I can use to video screen capture the pc, that is professional, and not expensive? Or any methods of preparing it for FCP?
    Any help would be great!
    Thanks

  • VIDEO Screen CAPTURE + Snapzpro

I use snapzpro to video screen capture for demos that I produce. Recently a colleague sent me one captures with Camtasia software and the quality was fantastic compared with snapzpro. I've set the snapzpro options to the highest quality but it just does not match what he sent me.
Is there something I'm not doing right
    ANy help appreciated
    Thanks
    Alan

No. FCE is a fixed resolution editing application. It only works with DV and HDV formats at specific sizes, frame rates and codecs. You either need to convert your material to one of these formats, or use a resolution independent application like Final Cut Pro.

  • Video screen Capturing compatible with FCP!!!

    Hello,
I recently captured a lot of footage using Snapz Pro X to create a tutorial for a website. After importing it into FCP, it wants to render everything, all the time, for every small change. These render take hours and hours for the smallest change. What should I do? The Snapz Pro X quicktime files are not FCP compatible. Is there a new program to get high quality video screen captures or a way to convert the files I have now? Any help would be extremely great.
    Thanks
    Erik

In iShowU I am recording at 1440x1080 30p, and capture area is same as video. Then I am importing the quicktime files into FCP. The sequence settings are Apple ProRes 422 1440x1080 60i. Capture Preset is HDV -Apple ProRes 422. The sequence settings are Frame Size 1440x1080 as well as aspect ratio. Something somewhere is off and its driving me mad. haha
    Thanks

  • Video screen capture capability for ios5??

I remember in the pre-release video for ios5 that there was a video screen capture capability..
Question 1 is: where is it?
Question 2: is it available for the iphone 4 with ios5?

Did you figure out how to capture video yet?

  • How can I easily video screen capture my interactions on an ipad2 so I can play back to demo content I have created?

how can I easily video screen capture my interactions on an ipad2 so I can play back to demo content I have created?

    Hi,
Thanks for the response but I know how to do a screen capture but wanted to be able to capture myself interacting with the ipad ansd turn into a movie i.e. showing all the movement / animation etc as I interact.
I have now figured out a good solution. Using AirServer you can wirelessly connect you ipad to your mac/pc then using a video capture solution like Snapz Pro you can capture what you are doing to create the video.
    Cheers

  • Video Screen Capture Software and FCP

I am shooting a video and need to incorporate some video screen capture software. There will be an audio overlay, so I do not need to record audio simultaneously while recording. I will be encoding with H.264.
    What should I use?
    Thank You!

iShowU and ScreenFlow are too very popular capture utilities.
    I prefer the latter.

  • Does creative cloud include any software for HD video screen capture?

Does creative cloud include any software for HD video screen capture? I know that Captivate is not offered but are there other software applications available that do the same job? I am not wanting to make tutorials but I am a filmmaker wanting to integrate sequences with screen capture (which I will edit on Premiere)

    Thanks Brian,
Spent some time yesterday doing research on this. There are good reviews and bad reviews for just about every screen capture application out there it seems.
The top-ten reviews gave their gold medal to CamVerce, which I'll probably buy today.
    http://video-capture-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
Yesterday I bought the Sonne Screen video which is rated 5th on the top-ten site. (I figured as I'm going to be editing on premiere I shoudn't need to pay for extra editing packages and as I'm not using it to create tutorials I really just want a good quality screen capture for Windows 8). However, I'm not really happy with the image quality on playback and I'm finding the technical assistance really poor from Sonne. I still haven't received an email confirmation from them.
The others that I thought sounded right for me were WM Capture (though the top-ten review had a few negative things to say about it).
Tried a couple of the free ones also. EZvid is very popular.
Will see how I go and let you know. I'm sure this is very subjective and I'm probably not being as clear as I need to be about purpose of use.

  • How to Get Proper Video Screen Captures (Screencasts) of Lightroom or Photoshop in Win?

Hello. I would like to get proper screen captures of Lightroom on Win 7/64, showing all screen elements as you see them. I tried FastStone Capture 8 and SnagIt 11.1, but they have various differing issues. Do you have a good hint?
In my screen capture, i want a mouse-click-sound each and every time the mouse is clicked. This is not "system audio", because the computer doesn't play a sound for every ordinary click. The capture software must add that sound. (I'm aware i can add the sound manually in post production, but want it recorded together with video.)
Experience with Faststone Capture 8's video captures:
    I get well usable footage
Does optionally record mouse-click-sound for each click, with adjustable volume
Does not properly record some elements of Photoshop or Lightroom screens:
    - cursors sometimes look rough or double-sized
    - Lightrooms "TAT (Target Correction Tool)" disappears while being dragged on the image
    - the color selector box of Lightroom's Adjustment Brush is not shown, while the cursor working within that color selector box is shown
    - Lightroom's three-second-splash-message after Undo etc. is not shown
(All these missing elements do show up in *still* captures with Faststone Capture. They also *do* show up in video captures done with SnagIt.)
Experience with Snagit 11.1's video captures:
Does properly capture all those elements that FastStone does *not* capture (listed above)
Does *not* optionally include a mouse-click-sound for each and every mouse click (they record "system audio", but a sound on every click is not "system audio")
Videos are less smooth, cursor sometimes "jumping"
Now do you know a screen capture software for Win 7 that can
properly record *anything* that's seen within Lightroom and Photoshop
and automatically add a mouse-click-sound for each and every click i do
and produce smooth footage without "jumping cursors"?
    Thanks for your real-life experiences!

Hi, thanks for your suggestions. Now i also tried:
    Camstudio:
    - mouse click sounds very weird (my mistake?), does NOT record LR overlays like adjustment brush's colour selector
    Screen-cast-o-matic, optionally online, free:
    - DOES record overlays like adjustment brush's colour selector. Mouse-click-sound not in free version. "System audio" is promised in paid version, but that does not necessarily mean a sound for each mouse-click. Contacted support for more
Straightforward using, lots of short video tutorials (useful for absolute beginners).
Free downloaded program 1.4 only works on primary monitor, the online launched app also records on secondary monitor
Don't see option to record a "window", only set resolutions
    More "jumpy" than Faststone
More interesting pro-version seems to be rent-only-licenced, at 15 USD per year, not a one-time-buy
    Camtasia:
DOES record overlays like adjustment brush's colour selector
.camrec format isn't offered for recording, only .trec and .avi (on Win 7)
Exported MP4 looks blurry and has colour blotches, that are not visible in the initial recording, only after exporting; this doesn't change at all after setting very high quality MP4 options; i guess i didn't look properly

Myles, thanks again, here are my findings with Camtasia:
    Camtasia:
DOES record overlays like adjustment brush's colour selector
.camrec format isn't offered for recording, only .trec and .avi (on Win 7), but trec is usable just as .camrec i guess

i see how to add mouse-click sounds; i don't like the sound they provide so much; maybe it can be exchanged.

  • PC Video screen capture for AE importing?

Does anybody know of a good screen capturing utility for the PC that I can import the files of into AE?
Currently Im using Camstudio but the results Im getting are very poor and when I import them into AE it doesnt handle them very well at all (very choppy play back - very choppy indeed)
I use Snapz at home on my mac which works perfectly - but I dont know of anything as good for the PC :(
any help would be much appreciated - many thanks!
    Nick

ok- ive got the demo of camtasia - its good, but I think perhaps im asking too much of it. Im trying to capture quite large flash websites, but it always ends up quite jerky :(
One of the sites Im trying to grab is www.playhousedisney.co.uk but im not having much luck :(
Does anybody know of any hardware accelerated way of grabbing websites like this without any frame loss or jerkiness?
thanks again for all your help!

  • Exporting Video Screen Capture from iPod Touch

I'm looking to export video of me using an app that we have developed on the iPod Touch to export as a video (in the same way that screenshots can be captured). Does anyone know if a) There's an app for that , or b) if there's a cable that I can plug into the ipod that will plug into my MacBook Pro (ie not the Griffin aircraft cable) to give me a high quality screen capture video? I'm finding that using a video camera of using the app isn't giving high enough quality for what I'm trying to achieve. Thanks.

What happens if you tap "more" under music?
Is there no video option there?

  • Screen Cast or Video Screen Capture

    Hello everyone,
I am seeing a solution to an issue invilving screen casting. I am playing World of Warcraft and am trying to capture certain events as video's. I have attempted using programs such as iShowU and Snapz but the results are far from acceptable. They simply make the game look as if I were to take screen captures over and over with a one or two second delay inbetween them. Not to mention these programs take a battle axe to my graphic cards performance. The card isn't a bad card either, a Radeon x800. I was wondering what is the best way to go about capturing video of my game. I had a little idea of doing some sort of pass-through through my mini-dv camera to capture raw video from my graphic cards output... but doing this is easier said than done... actually I don't even know how to go about doing this. Can someone lend me a hand? I want some kind of video captures with a bit of ability to edit it and capturing around 20fps... even if the game is running under that at times. My machine make is as follows:
    G5 2.5 PPC DP
    4 GB of RAM
    250 GB x 2 HD
    Radeon x800
Thank you for your time everyone. Hope to hear some kind of good news soon . Thanks.
    -Andrew

Since the game is using all the CPU and graphics board power it can get, any software recording will slow the game. The only way to get full speed recording is with an external VCR or DVD recorder. To get suitable video you can use a DVI to video adapter
    <http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/6884001/wo/LP5a dys1a8md2bwmixK21w5cbZA/1.0.21.1.0.8.25.7.11.2.3>
with one of the DVI ports on the X800 board. Look in the manual to see which port supports it, or just try both.
Get the ATI Displays software from
<http://www.ati.com> to get more control over the video output. It should let you mirror the display to the video with them having different resolutions.
You could also use a VGA to video converter, such as:

  • Video Screen Capture Software

Does anyone have any advice on their favorite screen capture software? I've done some searches and seen reference to a few types (iShowU, CaptureIt!, ScreenFlow, etc.). There are a bunch of options and I'm not stoked with SnapZ Pro, which I had been using before.
Is there a consensus on the best program or is it more of a favorite flavor thing?
    Thanks,
    Stef

iShowU can do pretty well everything and anything.

  • Captivate 3: Video Screen Capture Captivate

I'm trying to capture a video on my computer screen using captivate 3 - does captivate 3 have this capability?  The drop-down box for "Audio" only have two options (Line in and Microphone). Also, when I click "Record" it seems that captivate is unable to test my audio levels.
I just got an update on my sound card, so there should be more selections in that drop-down box unless captivate 3 does not support it.
I know there are other video capture software out there, but I wanted to see if captivate would work.  Any help is greatly appreciate -- if you can provide links to tuturials that would be great too; I could not find any online for captivate 3 video capturing.

    Hi there
I'd be totally shocked if Captivate recorded the video for you and you came back to report things were just peachy.
The bottom line here is that Captivate does an awful job of capturing video that way. What results will be herky jerky hit and miss.
As for the audio capture, keep in mind that you are always able to add audio later. You might use something like FreeCorder toolbar to capture the audio.
