PC (Windows) died - can I transfer tunes from I-pod mini to new PC?
Checked FAQs etc to see if possible to transfer tunes from I-pod mini to new Windows XP PC but can't see anything useful. Old PC crashed and I-tunes went with it, no chance of retrieving Library. Can it be done?
TIA

Before you try 3rd party software, try this.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), then the Yamipod program previously mentioned is good, and it's free.

One way would be to e-mail them from yourself to yourself. That would totally avoid the different ID issue.

How can I transfer contacts from my iPhone to a new iPad with another Apple-ID?
You can't. Not directly anyway. You might be able to import them to your computer and then sync them to the iPad but there is no way to transfer them over the air or by connecting the two devices with a cable.
I know absolutely nothing about apps like this, but I did a very quick Google search and found this.

How can I transfer music from my iPod to a new laptop?
I recently got a new laptop because my old laptop, in which all of my music is in, is about to break down. So just about a few days ago my laptop just died, i cannot turn it on, and all of my music is in there. How can i transfer all of my music onto my new laptop using my ipod, and how will I be able to keep downloading music on my new laptop. Thanks!
You still got your music in your iPod? There is a way to transfer it to your new laptop.
You can simply transfer music from iPod to computer with a handy tool called iOS Transfer.
iOS Transfer is a program specifically designed to deal with problem of transformation between iPod and Computer. -

if i use a usb flash drive which is mac os and windows compatible can i use it to copy files from the mac to a windows machine. i have to do some training abroad and wnat to take the files on a usb from the mac but they will only have a windows operating system available to me.
Generally, it's not the flash drive that makes it compatible, but the formatting used on it. In Disk Utility on a Mac, the format is called MS-DOS (FAT). In Windows, I believe it is called FAT32.
A USB flash drive formatted that way should be readable and writable on both Mac OS X and Windows. But you may want to try a "trial run" before relying on it for the trip. -

Can I transfer purchases from my account to a new one for my daughter?
Currently I home share my account with my daughter who is now old enough to have her own account. I want to set up an Apple ID in her name, transfer all of her music and apps and her ipod from my account to this new one on her own laptop. Can anyone please tell me (simply - cos I'm old!) how to do it. Obviously, all of these purchases were made under my ID so is it possible to transfer them to her? Any help gratefully received!
On the other hand, you can use one Apple ID for iCloud and another for store (iTunes, App Store) purchases. Depending on what you mean to include in "content," that could help.

How can we transfer music from two iPods onto one new one
My partner an I have two iPod classics and an iPod touch, can we transfer and edit the content in store when the new nano arrives as we have no access to a PC?
iPods (that are not iPod touch) need to sync with a computer (Mac or Windows PC) running iTunes. There is no way to transfer content directly between iPods, or using an iOS device (like your iPod touch).

Can I transfer playlists from my iPad to my new mac?
When I sync my iPad with my new mac I get a message that suggests that I can only transfer to the iPad from the mac. I have playlists on my iPad that I would like to transfer onto my new mac. Can this be done? And how?
ThanksYou can transfer the playlist (the actual list), but you can't make a copy of the music from the iPad to iTunes, unless they were purchased via iTunes.
