    Hi! I really need help....
I´m doing a simulation where I can controller the input and output with one external PCB, all is working properly (the communication) but my problem is, I can´t open where ever I want the different valves...I mean, I must wait until the process is finish...
The program is working with diferents process like this:

I have a sbc65ec which is a small Pcb with a ethernet port with it you can monitor voltages, operate relays from your pc and it works fine locally  i.e on my home network, but I would like to moitor the pcb from my place of work, it can do this but I don't know how to setup the router to do this, I paste the section from the manual which explains what I a trying to do
    Viewing readings on the net!
This demo has been created simply by connecting an SBC65EC board to a Billion ADSL Modem/Router. The router is then configured to make the SBC65EC a virtual server that is accessible via the internet. Most modern routers have this feature built in, and can be used. Note: The board used in this demo is running an older firmware. The new firmware has more options, and the NetBIOS name can be changed on the network settings page.Q. How do i do this with my router???
    Q. What do I type in the address bar of my browser to access the PCB (I Type http://mxboard/ when I use it on my home network)

    hi,
    Thanks for replying,
The easy answer first the router is a linksys WRT54G.
The network I am using ?? well this Box WRT54G hangs on my wall, its connected to a broadband modem, which is provided by NTL (Virgin) a cable joins the modem to the Linksys and my computer is fitted with a Msi wireless Lan card, I know this because I have a little icon on the bottem bar of windows.
When I want to go on line I just open up internet explorer and if by magic I'm on the internet I have a laptop which also uses the signal from the linksys, from what I understand neither computer is a server I think? as I can operate either without the other on.
As you can guess I know nothing about networks to make matters  worse i'm an electronic engineer shame on me.

  • How to create a via from layer 1 to 3 on a 8 layer PCB?

I'm working on a design for a 8 layer PCB with Multisim/Ultiboard v10. In Multisim under sheet properties i selected the PCB to contain 8 layers, which makes Ultiboard to create this board with 4 layer pairs and 0 top/bottom build-ups. In the PCB properties of Ultiboard i enabled micro vias and buried/blind vias but i noticed that i'm not able to allow vias between some combinations of layers.
For example i can enable vias from top to the second layer (1st inner) and from top to the fourth layer (3rd inner), but not from top to the third layer (2nd inner).
When placing a via, i can select top for the start and the 3rd layer
for the end, but it will be created as via between top and the 4th
layer, which will -of course- shorten several traces on the 4th layer.
So my questions is: Why am i not allowed to create a via, that goes from the top layer to the third layer and how to enable all possible combinations of start and ending layers for the via?
    Thanks for your help
    fhn
PS: sorry for my bad english :/
Message Edited by fhn on 08-22-2008 04:39 AM

I am not 100% sure about this, but what I see happening here is that you can only select certain combinations of pairs. Once that selection is made it will gey out other selections as not valid. You might want to carefully look at the options in the via selection and make sure of which layers you want vias to be on. I don't know about enabling all layers in this selection. I would assume this would not be legal from a design rules standpoint, but since most of my boards are either single or double sided I do not have the necessary experience with multi-layers to give a proper answer to that.
This is the only thing I can advise as when I went through the process I was able tio select the vias for the layers you outlined in your post.
I hope this helps somewhat as this is all can tell you.

  • R7950 TF3 OC BE with 7950 PCB

Hi everyone. This is my first post so please go easy on me!
I've been gradually putting together a new machine over the last couple of months and finally got around to upgrading my 5850 card. I want to incorporate the new card into my water loop and fit it with a Heatkiller 79X0 waterblock. Having done my research, I know I need a card with a 7970 reference PCB for the Heatkiller to fit. So, after reading many comments about people ordering 7950 TF3s and finding they have 7970 PCBs, I ordered what's called a "3GB MSI R7950 TF 3GD5/OC BE". I assume the BE bit refers to Boost Edition as there's a "Boost Edition" sticker on the box.
Anyway, I opened the box and unfortunately it has a 7950 PCB (with 6+6 pin power) so won't be able to take a Heatkiller block.
Have I just been unlucky and received old stock or is the "BE" edition different to the normal "OC" which, I believe, has the 7970 reference PCB?
Any help would be most gratefully received, especially if anyone can point me in the direction of exactly which version of the R7950 TF3 I need to order to be sure it has the 7970 PCB.
    Thanks, guys!

Sorry to hear that. I've been searching for the difference between mine and the BE and now I know. Wonder why MSI reverted the design back to the 7950 PCB?

    Hi,
is there a big difference between these two Layouts?
I want to put the 8gb under Water. Fit a 290x 4gb cooler on the 8gb version?

PCB layout is the same as the 4GB Gaming version its just it has higher capacity VRAM chips that are double the capacity each!
    4GB has 16 256MB chips
    8GB has 16 512MB chips
rest is identical as they share the same PCB!

  • Qosmio G30 and vga/pcb problems

My Qosmio G30 has developed a vga/pcb problem.
Toshiba engineers tell me the vga/pcb is corrupt and needs to be replaced but since this is built-in the whole mother board must be replaced.
The cost for this is nearly half the cost of the original machine and much more than many new Toshiba notebooks.
Anyone have similar problem or experience anyone have any suggestions.
    Edited by: ADMIN

To me this clearly sounds like the problem that stroke me last weekend - obviously the NVidia GPU died and causes the trouble. Check if your machine is still under warranty - if not i would claim goodwill.
If the repair-costs are too high for you i would sell it on Ebay and get another machine as the technology level is two years (which is a century in computer-business) and you can get better performance at a lower price-point - even if it hurts to let the G30 go.

  • MSI 990FXA-GD65 [MS-7640 PCB 3.0] throttling issue

Hi, i'm on the last official BIOS (J.90) and my CPU throttle to 4x multiplier on my Phenom II X6 1090T.
I got this problem on every cold start. And i need to reboot in order to temporary fix it...until the next cold start.
I noticed that when i got the problem, the temperature readings are out of range: right now i'm stuck on X4 and AMD overdrive shows a constant 197°C on all cores and OCCT reports constant 255°C. So i figure it's related to throttling protection based on false/wrong temp values from the temp sensor.
My CPU voltage is low, the big Noctua is properly installed and very cool (i can feel the heatpipes very cold!)
I tried differents settings on the bios (disabling cool n quiet for example) but nothing helps. I made a clear CMOS with the hidden button on the connectors panel, problem still there, even with stock bios parameters.
Is it a bios version issue ? do i need to rollback to another version ?
I made a ticket to MSI support but response for now.
Sorry for my bad english, i'm french

I am little confused about UEFI versions names
On this thread https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=151619.msg1197501#msg1197501 the latest UEFI is called E7640AMS.JA1 , but you recommend me to flash "BIOS 19.10B1"
    Is it the same ?
    Thanks !
Yeah it's the same. The file is named .JA1 and it's shown at BIOS as "19.10B1". The latest official BIOS is 19.9!
Your problem seems similar to mine (Core temp : 255°C at cold starts) so I think it's hardware failure (mainboard's sensor maybe)!

  • PCB Board Size

How can you change the dimensions of the board itself?  I transfered a schematic from Multisim to Ultiboard and it gave me some default board outline size.  I want to change this because I can fit all my components in a much smaller board.  I tried to select the board outline as a polygon and drag it but it is unselectable.  I went into PCB properties to try and find a board dimensions characteristic and was unable to find anything.  I looked at the help file and throughout this forum and have been unsuccessful.  This seems like the most simple of tasks and is driving me crazy can you guys help?

    Hi ravivasudevan:
You can resize the board, but first you need to select the correct layer. In the Design Toolbox, select the Layers tab, then double click the Board Outline layer. The layer name should get highlighted in red. (You can also change the layer from the Draw Settings toolbar.) You can now select and drag the outline, or select and edit its properties. You can also use the usual draw tools to draw a non-rectangular shape.

  • Is it pattern matching the best way to check presence and orientation of components on a pcb board?

Hi, like i ask on the title i need some hint about this. I need to program a simple AOI machine that must inspect a pcb board and find if all the components are correctly placed and oriented. I though to use the pattern matching with a good template of the object to inspect. Can it work?
All kinds of tips that may come to your mind please tell me, because this is the first time i try a task like this. I already have some experience in image manipulation but not in AOI machines.

  • How to Save PCB design as a component

    Hello,
I'm trying to combine multiple PCB designs into one file in Ultiboard, and I recently find out it has the ability to save pcb design as a componet. Is anyone know how to use this feature ?
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I don't know of any easy way of achieving this. It would be possible to manually modifying the ewnet file before you transfer to Ultiboard. For this, there is no documentation of the file format (but it is ASCII) and it would rely on you later selecting the correct RefDes when you place the part.

The drive doesn't work anymore after less than 5 months.
It's seems to be that the PCB out is.

I would consider a drive service company. They have a great success rate at retrieving data, but typically you lose the hard drive since they had to disassemble it and the costs are in the hundreds of dollars.
Other thought is to go online and see if the hard drive is available from E-bay or some other vendor and cannibalize the parts.
Hard drives are pretty specialized and I don't see manufacturers selling the parts. Even the drive service companies need specialized tools and a clean room. Good luck in retrieving your files.

    Hello,
Multisim is not the right software for PCB layout design. That would be Ultiboard. With the integration between the 2 you can create your circuit in Multisim and transfer it to Ultiboard to easily design your one layer board. There are a lot of tutorials online that can help you do this. If you feel you need instruction, you can always book a class (online or on-site) to learn Multisim/Ultiboard.

  • Testing of IC's in a PCB using LabVIEW

There is a PCB with a lot of IC's. The IC's are mainly buffers,SRAM,PROM, ASIC's, CPLD's and FPGA. None of them are JTAG compatible i.e. no TDI/O pins available. However only one CPLD is JTAG compatible. Is there a way through which I can test the functinality of these IC's using LabVIEW?
Without the JTAG interface, do I have any other medium through which my VI's can communicate with these memory IC's?
one more thing is that I cannot remove any of the IC's from the PCB, they have to be tested while they are present in the board itself.

Without the JTAG interface, do I have any other medium through which my VI's can communicate with these memory IC's?  Not directly, of course.  You need to find out how you can communictae to the card.  Is it BDM, serial, USB, Ethernet, PCI, whaterver interface that allows to program PLD's, FLASH memory and can interface to the outside world.  LabVIEW can communicate with all that.  It may require additional hardware (BDM, JTAG, adapters).
one more thing is that I cannot remove any of the IC's from the PCB, they have to be tested while they are present in the board itself. Of course.. That is usually how they are tested once they are integrated into the board (system)
It sounds like this is the first time you do this.
You need help beyond LabVIEW if that is the case.
You first need to identify how you can interface to the board.  That step is required regardless of what language youuse to develop test software.  The ahrdware designers should be able to help you with that.

  • Qosmio G10 with new graphic card and pcb - Tools CD Update doesn't work

    Hi everybody
I hope you can help me. Before a few weeks I received my Toshiba Qosmio G10 back from the support, because the notebook didn't work anymore. So I get it back with a new Grafic card and a new PCB. With my Notebook I get a CD which is called update Tool CD-Rom and an instruction sheet, where it says that you have to boot with this update Tool CD-Rom after you had installed the Windows with the reovery CD.
So I made it, but when I know put the update Tool CD-Rom in and I boot with it, the computer installs something but after a short while there comes a message that it is a different model and that I have to put a button to shut down the Notebook. So i made it but the Windows doesn't start.
Why is that so? I had everything done which was said on the instruction sheet.
    Please help me

    Hello
It will be interesting to find out more about this update Tool CD-Rom. Is there Toshiba label? Can you please write what is described there?
