Pci Compatibilit Mode

I getting a problem with a FX-5200-T128,
The problem is that im currently im AGP (PCI MODE), and because of it im getting a bad fps on my games..., my current motherboard is AV8X-X, with a fx5200 agp8x enabled, but im still with PCI MODE, already updated the driver and directx, what i can do to solve it ?

You didn´t mention it but install mobo drivers first (in this case VIA Hyperion 4in1), then video drivers and try RivaTuner, which allows you to select AGP mode and to force it to remain enabled.

  • Can't install WinXP32bits with Pci-e

    Hi, i have a MSI K8N Neo3-F(601-7135-010) mainboarth, with an AMD Sempron 64(754) 3000+, VGA ASUS 6600GT 128Mb Pci-e
and all other normal things. This is the new things and I can't install WinXp with the Pci-e. I say this 'cause i've tried with an AGP VGA card and have no problem with the installation of WinXp. I've searched for a solution but nothing....
    I hope you can help....
    Tks.

I've checked and Pciex is selected...
I've tried with a linux OS version and does the some thing, but the error that appears is relationed with the display controller.
I'm starting to think that that is really the problem.
why cant install? what you get? mobo dont have known problems with any PCI-E for now. probably your problem is coused by your PSU. AGP VGA which you are tried guess need less power that your ASSUS. can you give as more details about your system including PSU details? and more details about "cant install XP" what happed any msg ? just lockup? reboot?shutdown directly? using 10 of the same mobos with Galaxy 6600GE(GDDR-3) PCI-E modded to GT version. dont have any probs. possible reason is weak PSU at 1st look for now. your PC spec will be requred.

  • MSI Big Bang-XPower II SLI question

Hello. I have a MSI Big Bang-XPower II with two cards in SLI. The cards are cooled using AIO water cooling brackets which makes them take up three slots each instead of two. I would like to add a third card with the same cooling. The manual says that for 3-way sli I should use slots 1,3 and 5 or 7 as they are all PCIe 3. My processor doesn't do PCIe 3 so I leave it in PCIe 2 mode. My question is, could I set up the SLI configuration using slots 1, 4 and 7? Would it run at 16/8/8 in pcie 2? Or would the 4th slot not be usable for sli?
    Thanks

No, that is not possible. PCI_E4 is a gen2 slot limited to x4. SLI is disabled once a slot used is at less than 8 lanes. Follow the Multi GPU support table on 1-21 of your manual.

  • Flash videos suffering from intermittent "micro-freezes" in animation

Hello, I have been having issues lately with the latest version 12.0070 flash plugin causing flash based videos to have what I call "mirco freezes" or mircostutter, where a frame in the video freezes for a like a few milliseconds every so often. I ran DTC latency checker and got in the low 100's of microseconds of latency which is normal, even with no video playback. CPU usage is at 10% or less during video playback. I have done complete uninstall of flash, including the registery entry removal and folder removal, but even with fresh install, whether it be ActiveX version for IE or the plugin version for other browsers, still has the microstutter issues during video playback. I also upated all drivers and disabled hardware acceleration. For a final test, I disabled startup items with Msconfig, but I still get the microstutters in flash videos................So here is all I know to do is post my PC info and process monitor log file in the hopes that some bright computer programmer on here can see what is going on.......
    My system info here:

    Hi
You said you are using Chrome
Did you notice the same issue using other browsers like Firefox or IE?

  • Windows 7 beta,  64-bit, on a Mac Pro

I'm about to attempt this, so I thought I'd gather together some tips on it. Found this thread re MacBook Pros:
    http://ourcoffeestops.com/2009/01/guide-windows-7-x64-build-7000-on-a-macbook-pr o/
Has anybody else tried this on a Mac Pro with any success?
I've got a GEForce 8800 GT, early-2008 Mac Pro with 2 x Quad core. Any advice?
    Thanks

If you had installed Vista, they you probably know most all the how and why, and just need tips on what is new and different.
Main new item to be aware of:
Older driver updates and installers (like Apple Boot Camp) have to run in a new "Vista Compatibile Mode" property setting. It may not run, or run and not really be successful.
You will need to reinstall or install RealTek audio driver yourself.
Pull your drives and leave one raw drive in there, formatted as Master Boot Record and FAT (MSDOS) and boot from the Windows 7 DVD you burned earlier in Disk Utility.
If someone has a Mac Pro from pre-2008, it has a different EFI32 firmware, not UEFI 2.x (EFI64) and may see an EFI boot menu when first boot from Windows 7 DVD (or Vista SP1 or later) when using 64-bit (Microsoft added some support for EFI in 64-bit versions post Vista SP1).

In my opinion, this is your THIRD thread for the same topic.

  • Shopping For A RAID Controller

I have seen the Areca brand name on here many times, so I assume they are the best for what we do. But, there are so many models that I have no idea what to look for. I probably won't ever have more than 4 or 6 storage drives plus an SSD system drive. Maybe a couple of external drives and an NAS.
    If I have Windows 7 64-bit
    i7-2600k processor
    ASUS P8P67 Pro motherboard
    32 GB RAM 1600
GeForce GTX 580 Amp! from Zotac
    AX850 PSU from Corsair
Every component is reasonably fast, bu I am sick of the senseless limitations of this mootherboard. My drives are aging so they need to be replaced.
Which specs are important for video editing? Which brand and models are most popular and shoould I wait for some new release?
Another thought - If a RAID controller is over $400 US, Is it more cost-effective to upgrade to a more capable motherboard/processor with all the ports I need?

    What to look for
    Brand
    Areca or LSI
    Ports
    8 or more
    Card
    PCIe-3.0 8x
    Cache
    512 MB or more
    Multi-lane
    SFF-8087/8088
    Examples
Areca ARC-1882 series or LSI MegaRAID 9285
Warning: You have to realize that on your motherboard adding a dedicated raid controller will entail that your video card will throttle down from PCIe-16x to PCIe-8x mode, resulting in a 10 - 15% performance penalty, due to limitations of the chipset. A dedicated raid controller, especially with around 6 disks always outperforms an on-board raid by a wide margin. To see some benchmark results, look here:  Reflections
To see what meets your requirements, also consider the raid level you want to use. If raid3 or raid30, then LSI is out. You can check out what controllers are popular here: Detailed Results but you have to be registered and logged in to access the page.

  • Return from a sub vi

    Hi,
I am trying to return from my sub-vi to my main vi with no success.
in the sub-vi i connect the STOP button to a STOP sign .
i am attaching my vi .
    CTM-config - main vi.
    CTM-Main - sub vi
    Thanks

I don't understand why it can cause a problem ,the vi is waiting for events and if it gets the STOP - change value event  it needs to "do"
the event  and to stop/close the vi (sub-vi).
As long as there are other loops running, it can't finish (unless you use the STOP-function). So you have to select a file.
can there be any other reason (maybe configuration of the LAB-VIEW or something else ?
This might be a reason - I use LV7.0 full version (Developer Suite).
I also just found the following: If I start CTM-Config.vi and just once select "PCI charactarisation mode" and then select another value, CTM-Main is opened twice.
I attach the vi's I tested. Don't replace your original ones because I deleted some subvis.

  • Desktop skype is a forced only option is it legal?

    hello all,
as you may KNow the new skype is a crock.
i have had nothing but problems with it.
the camera option keeps crashing my machines.
after trying all i decided to get rid off the APP version and install the old 6.3.0.107
BRILLIANT all problems where solved it dinnt look like my pc was an Ipad
it was all much more usable again
my camera`s all worked even an old Genius EYE110 without crashing all communication was fine with my contacts.
i was just about to post back that all was fine.
THEN it told me to sighn back in: would not accept my password.
changed three times. still no good.although its fine in my account and on this forum.
basically microsoft are forcing people to use this desktop embedded crap that nobody likes, when using  windows 8/8.1
anyone else out there who feels the same .
seems they are trying to monopalise again.
do they still not get that not all there softwere is any good.
i can understandusing desktop style skype on a small phone or tablet is usefull and just about usable as a gimmick.I dont think its sutable for a pc what so ever
after wasting so much time trying to use it i am ******* fumming

    hello again,
iv`e sorted a work around for both the genius eye110 and the microsoft VX-800.
using skype ver 6.21.0.104 :ENSURE THE STORE APP IS NOT INSTALLED:
i don`t believe how slow iv`e been to solve this:Right click on the skype icon and set to windows 7 compatibillity mode and save settings:BINGO BOTH CAMERAS WORK FINE>
how easy was that i must be going senile.
i`m am happy now with this system setup and can get on with what i was trying to do on this
dev system not bothered about app store version (good for tablets its not praticle for Pc use).
    thanks for your efforts anyway.
    best regards Topper.

  • Free trial download of Oracle 10g or 11g R2 Emterprise or Standard Edition

I am tring to download a free trial version of Oracle Database 10g or 11g R2 Enterprise or Standard Edition onto my
Windows 7 system that I can install and use. I was able to download a trial copy of 10g R2 Enterprise database but the problem is that I cannot open/install the Oracle program.
    Please help!
    Bud

    Hi,
    I am using Window's 7 Home Preamium x64
Can I still use your link for the 11g R2 to download Oracle DatabaseYou can download, but you cannot install it as your OS it not certified with 10g/11g.
You said I can right click on the executable Installation file
Do you mean the Install file
I have Window's XP Compatibillity Mode and service pack 1 or 2 or 3
Can I use one of them to download the 10g R2 download to Oracle DatabaseUse the above as a workaround to run the installer. However, this does not guarantee that the installation will work smoothly as your OS is not certified.
Again, your OS has nothing to do with the download, you should be able to download the file no matter that OS you are running, but it is about the installation.
    Thanks,
    Hussein

  • LDOM 1.1 and split I/O domains

Anyone tried out LDOMs 1.1 yet? Looks like it went GA on December 23th or there about...
We're setting up a test platform for it. We particularly interested in running it in split PCI switch mode and the disk fail-over between I/O domains that it should permit. We're also glad to see it finally adds dynamic add/removes of disk (VIODR). I'd love to hear others experiences with it, especially in relationship to EMC Clariion storage.
I must say that I'm just a bit frustrated at the architecture of the current crop of T5x40 systems -- it seems there was little or no thought given to using the split PCI switch configuration to permit I/O domain redundancy. All the local disks reside on one switch and all the built-in network resides on the other. To get two functional I/O domains we'll need to boot one (or both) off the SAN and add a network card (burning up one of the PCI slots which are at a premium in the smaller form factor T5140). And with an add-on card we cannot get the Hybrid I/O for both network ports (only works with the built in Neptune chip).
What we're hoping to achieve is a system that can take down the Control/IO domain and the secondary IO domain indepedently for patching (required by policy to be pretty frequent) without having to take an outage on all the guests...maybe it's just a pipe dream.
    Cheers!

LDoms has been released, see http://blogs.sun.com/achartre/ for more info. You will also find
information about virtual disk multipathing through multiple I/O domains.
