Driver ver XFTI_PCDRV_LB_2_7_0006.exe recording is fine no problem at all......
Driver update since XFTI_PCDRV_LB_2_7_0007.exe and XFTI_PCDRV_LB_2_7_0008.exe and
XFTI_PCDRV_LB_2_7_0008A.exe (beta) will have some kind of noise while recording my own mp3 via what you hear option....
by the way i am using winxp sp3 .... i dunno if this error happen to windows 7 or not....
Confirm this happen not cause by imcompartible hardware / ram / motherboard. It was driver issue that never been solved...........

I tested the 8C driver and I don't have any mute/unmute mic problem at all. Tested multiple unmuting/"what you hear"/remuting, etc, and it all worked perfectly.
Try reinstalling the driver? I remember on one driver (XP), the drive bay would 'lock up' on my titantium, after pressing one of the CMSS/crystalizer/mode buttons, when I went directly from CD drivers to the latest beta (which was then 8B). Then when I installed the previous 8A driver, it worked fine, then I went back to the new driver and again worked fine.
So give a reinstall a try. I haven't checked if there is any bug on the back mic port, since I use the front drive bay.

'Recording problem on my Xi-Fi Fatality?d So I have a Xi-Fi Fatality, and I would like to be able to record directly from my computer so that it's own output is also the input. For example, if I'm on ventrillo or something and I want to play a funny mp3 to show my friends I'd like to be able for the audio to come directly from the output.
Anyways, my microphone seems to work fine, and that's where the trouble begins.
I go to the sound control panel and click on the recording tab. ? It has microphone as the default device and it says "working."
There are also options for "Auxillary" "Line-In" "Digital-In" and "What U Hear"
However, under each of them it says "currently unavailable"
I am unable to get any of them to function even when I set them to the default device.
Is this normal?

Actually this is kind of weird. Every now and then my "Aux 2" will become available and my mic is not. I have to restart my computer 4 or 5 times for my mic to become available.

i buy?a new pc with a Titanium Fatalty Pro sound card, i use Vista sp2 x64, the sound card is connected to my external amplifier with SPDIF out in order to get surround sound for my movies and my games and here is my problem
any movies format with surround sound play perfect with out any problem any kind of movie DVD, dvix, mkv?files?etc
but non of the games i play?use the surround system, why is that? is any?kind of special settings needed to be done? how is possible to get surround to movies and not to the games?

for games just go to the Console Entertainment mode > Encoder > Dolby Digital. Although this is not documented I believe what happens is that the sound card encodes the 6 digital channels onto Dolby Digital mode and transfers this over SPDIF. Kok-Choy actually recommend using the standard analogue cables (and he has a point as you are actually upcoding an existing game signal onto Dolby so that your digital receiver can then decode this down to 6 channels - seems a pretty useless overhead)
for video - I am curious to know what you do - I can either get 96/24 bits on the display of my z5500 with a direct signal but the z5500 receiver then tells me that this signal is only in dolby ProLogic II (and not DD or DTS). As alternati've I use again the encoder and have to select for EACH FILM WHAT IS BEST DOLBY DIGITAL OR DTS. Pls explain what settings you use.

RAM Preview Problems in After Effects CC

AE CS 6 RAM Previews work, but two problems to report with AE CC on the same computer. Possibly two faces of the same problem.
1. Having QuickTime Player open while doing a RAM preview makes the RAM preview stutter. I quit the player, and now the RAM preview plays back without dropping a frame, though Info palate shows "fps: 24 (realtime)", but the RAM preview playback is slow: ie, a tenor sounds like a baritone.
2. A RAM preview that looked and sounded fine last night, is now playing back slowly (tenor sounds like a baritone), though Info Palate shows "fps: 24 (realtime)". I have no other applications open. The only thing that changed is that I quit AE, slept the computer, slept a little myself, and then launched AE. Trashing the cache files (manually), rebooting, relaunching and re-RAM-previewing creates a functional RAM preview, so I assume there is some problem with the cached files or the retrieval of them.
Is anyone else getting either of these? If so, what is your system configuration?
Also, I posted on another thread that Quicktime import/render works with AE CS6 on this computer, but AE CC can not import, play, or render QT reliably (without throwing error messages). Perhaps all of this is part of the same problem.
Thoughts?

96 GB RAM is accessible in 10.8.4 on my machine according to OWC. I'm working on a stereoscopic 4K project with large files and hundreds of layers. I regurlarly render with AE MP while working with huge files in PS, and am glad to see the % of RAM AE uses displayed in my render cue between 3 and 60%.
I have 12 processors (24 with hyperthreading)
I have reserved 10 for other applications leaving 14 for After Effects
4 GB per x 14 = 56 GB for AE. leaving 40 GB for everything else
I've played with what and how much I have allocated being sure to keep the CPU counts even, but this does not fix the RAM preview problems described above. Any other suggestions?

i got render and RAM preview problems with after effects! please help me
when i started on a project earlier today the RAM preview was failing and it stoped making a preview after about a second, when i hit the RAM preview buttom again it continued to load and stoped again after a half second, and it continued to do that till it wasn't loading at all, just playing the same thing up even doe it haden't loaded the whole composition! BUT if i moved the (thing you see where you are on the timeline in need of a better name) it started loading a little more and then it stoped again.. so after alot of problems and moving i managed to make a RAM preview of the whole composition..
now the real problem: when i was done with my project and i was going to reender i did like this: i added my composition to the render queue, chosed my render settings and started to render, after exactly 37 frames it stoped and no window or anything poped up, the only thing that was telling me something was wrong was the render status, and it said: ''failed at 0;00;00;37'' that's not even a second! and BTW when i render after effects only uses 12% of my 6GB RAM memory.. i dont know what to do! i've tried other render settings but the same thing happens! can anyone help me?
BTW i'm swedish and only 14 so i might misspelled something..

What version of After Effects? Have you installed the recent updates? What operating system? What kind(s) of source footage? Has this ever worked before? What other software are you running? Do you have any third-party effects or codecs installed? Are you rendering with OpenGL?
What are your Memory & Multiprocessing settings? Are you using Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously multiprocessing?

Record Store only reads one record problem

I have a problem where I can read and write a record to a records store, but i can not do this for multiple records as i am trying with below code. Any help is very welcomes thank you, I am very new to J2ME.
I have a J2ME midlet that calls the startRecordStore() method which create a record 1.
It uses a static int records and it increments it every time a new recordstore is created, well I am not entirely sure if i need to do this. Because I want to go through all the records created.

I don't know where you're calling startRecordStore(), but you're creating a new record store for each "records".
Shouldn't you be just opening the record store "StudentStore", and them adding records to that store?

Audio recording problem in Cap 5

I have used earlier Captivate editions a great deal and never had audio recording problems. I am getting a weak scratchy audio recording. I have tried in Vista, Win 7 and with multiple microphones. What can be the problem?

Unfortunately, you have posted to the Premiere forum. This was the precursor to PrPro. The MOD's will probably move this out to the PrPro forum, so more folk will see it and can respond.
Now, did you use a USB mic? Many have had issues with those.
Also, going back about a year, there was a similar thread, and the description was about the same - "chipmunk." I do not recall the flow of that thread, or the resolution, but will try to find it. I just hope that it was not before the forum changeover, as it is likely gone forever.

Audio Recording Problem - distorted

Hey all,
I got an audio recording problem here...
When I try to record audio onto my project, the sounds is very poor and distorted. Plus, there is a pretty ugly delay. But when I use garageband, the sound is great and how it should be. So this makes me think that Logic has some sort of problem with my driver (Firebox) or somethin'.
Here's my Setup
-imac G5
-Logic Pro 7.2 (Bought just a few days ago)
-Presonus Firebox (audio interface)
-Condensor Mic

Hi,
It is possible that your FireBox is not the audio card set up in Logic, and that you are accidentally recording the built-in mic.
If Garageband is seeing your FireBox corrctly, then it is the setup in Logic, and nothing else, that you should be looking at.
Check your audio hardware and drivers.

I am an activist when it comes to rip-offs and I intend to set up a group to pressure the Ausralian government to legislate to make all computer software producers to make all new software compatible with all old software AT NO COST to the user.
I thought about that myself, but when it comes to Windows XP. It is peculiar that software companies get away with "selling" software that suddenly stops working properly. The problem with XP is of course an environmental one as well. There is a huge number of fully functional PCs that suddenly are no longer supported by Microsoft, and that are not powerful enough to take newer supported MS operating systems. What MS basically recommends people is to throw them away with a horrible cost for our environment.

What exactly are you trying to do? Is this a commercial movie that you are trying to import into iTunes? I don't know if you can import movies into iTunes unless you've purchased or rented them from the iTunes store.

Need help please I'm new to this forum... I have been having a few problems with my recordings like others I try to play back programme I have recorded and get nothing and also trying to delete a programme I'm getting a message to say I can't delete as the programme may be running on another box!!! I only have 1 box!!! I have tried all the rebooting fixes but no joy... I have an old white style hh... Is this or the box tired and in need of replacing??? I've also checked the settings and I'm online and have space on my disk!!! Help

We have had the same problem, which is really frustrating!!
The box appears to be recording but when the programme is played back, it stops during the programme and goes to the resume play on the menu or sometimes the channel isn't there, its just a black screen, I'm thinking of going to Sky if it carries on, getting really fed up now!!!
