PCR notification.

How are the find the time period between the request, approval and action of a PCR notifications (table :QMEL and JEST are being used). What are the Functions to calculate or retrive the data?

Hi Hemant,
You can get the status overview for the PCR using the function module 'ISR_SPECIAL_DATA_GET'. Give the Notification number & get back the special_data Table. You will find the required info in the STATUSOVERVIEW fields of the SPECIAL_DATA table.

  • MSS PCR Notification/Workflow

    Hi,
We have been trying to use the MSS PCR for Separation.  We are able to successfully submit the PCR however, there are no workflows triggered.
Appreciate if you can advise on how to setup to trigger workflow.  Alternatively, appreciate advise on how to know where the notifications are sent.
    Thanks,

PCR Workflow can be activated using the Tcode PCRWF. You can know the status of the workflow by checking the workflow overview for the Notification using Tcode IQS22.

  • Custome MSS Webdynpro form and update & approvel process.

    Hi,
I developed MSS form using Webdynpro Java and want to add the submit (not for actual update)  as well as approvel / rejection process.
what is standard process is to route the PCR Notifications through the HR Administrator who will then process them in the backend, to facilitate any audits & validations before actual update.
so where to store the data , before actual update? we i need to use xml ? how to get the notification no in this case ?
is the are way to store data directly in r3. and get those data from iqs_special_data_get, if it is good practice.
what is solution of my requirement, please guide me.
    Thanks

    Hi  raza ,
To study  the standard MSS PCR process , please study the development guide for PCR available at SAP
    Service marketplace .
Standard MSS PCR forms are designed at SFP in ABAP  and are processed through BADI QISR1.
    for PCR workflows refer -
    WS31000009 ISR_CONTROL
    WS31000010 ISR_APPROVE
    WS31000011 ISR_PROC
I would suggest to study the standard process first before doing any customizing .

  • Email Notification to Approver - PCR Approval Process

    Hi,
We are in the process of implementing PCR Approval using MSS .
And as per requirement , we are supposed to send email notification to the Approver Outlook mail box - as and when the Appoval work item is delivered to the Approver's UWL.
By adding one more activity step in the Workflow template ,we have been able to achieve this.
And as per our current design ,
In case of Agent Determination failure (i.e when the approver is not determined correctly),
we route the Approval Work Item to the Workflow Administrator's UWL  - so that he can forward it to the appropriate "Approver"
The Workflow Admin can forward the Approval work item to the appropriate "Approver" from his UWL.
    The Problem is,
How can we send a email notification to the Approver  - who has been selected by the Workflow Admin - when forwarding the Work item.
Is it possible to read the Forwarded user in the Workflow template @ runtime ??
Does this require a change in the Webdyn Pro code in the UWL part??
Any suggestion regarding this is welcome.
    Version Info:
    ECC 5.0
    EP Version:6.0

    Regards,
    Raj

    Hi Rajasekar,
Actually, when the workitem is manually forwarded to the correct agent, the mail should also be sent to the correct agent explicitly. Usually this happens quiet rarely.
You can see the new Agent(Forwarded Agent) in the Workflow Log. I think you can even get the forwarded agent in SWWWIHEAD table. Check this out.
You dont have to change any coding in WD Side.

  • Restricting authobject I_QMEL for Quality notifications and HR PCRs

    Hello,
We have encountered an role conflict when the authorization object I_QMEL is used both for Quality notification and HR PCR access on the portal.  Here is the scenario.
    Quality Administrator has I_QMEL for:
    - notification type X
    - transaction IQS1 and IQS2
    - all work is done in the GUI
Employee who is a Manager has I_QMEL for:
    - notification type Z
    - transactions IQS1 and IQS2
    - all work is done on the portal
The role conflict arises when one user has both the Quality Administrator role and the Manage role.  The user can then use the GUI to view notifications of type Z - that any manager has submitted.  This means the user can view all personnel change requests in the systems.  These PCRs contain sensitive information.
Any ideas on how I can design the security such that this role conflict is suppressed?
    Thanks!

    Hi Vicky,
I have the same problems you had. I also need to implement your requirements 2) and 3)
How have you solved your requirements? Please let me know your solutions.

  • PCR with two notification types

    Namaste all.
Is there any way to customize a PCR which contains two notification types.
I want SPEG function combined with SPSD. SPEG has a notification type 56 and SPSD has 57. While customizing the PCR, i'm unable to include these functions.
    Regards,
    Krishna Murthy

I will give you the detials of the Function modules used for this in the backend, all you have to do is to combine both the functionalities and make a single custom FM which solves your requirement and goahead.
The function modules to perform personnel actions are scenario specific and can be found in the function groups HRWPC_PCR_xx_ACTIONS. They are called HRWPC_PCR_xx_TRANSACTION_PA40 and they differ by the fields that are pre-filled. Those function modules are only available for scenarios that allow stand-alone personnel actions: In the standard delivery, the scenarios SPEG, SPPA, SPWT, SPSE and SPSD are linked with a stand-alone personnel action.
These function modules first get the table SPECIAL_DATA to get the form data that is filled into a table PROPOSED_VALUES that is afterwards used to pre-fill infotype data. Then the function module HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA is called with the personnel number, the personnel action stored for the scenario and with the effective date as start date. Furthermore the copy mode (actio = u2018COPu2019) must be chosen and the dialog_mode is set to u20182u2019. The table PROPOSED_VALUES pre-fills the data in the infotypes that are called within the personnel action.
In order to trigger a personnel action, the function module HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA must be chosen instead of HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION that does not offer capabilities to prefill data in infotypes called within the personnel action.

  • Setting notification type for PCR

    Hi ALL,
Here is what I am tryign to do. I opened a Change request form:
    Change Employee Group and Subgroup
It loaded fine and I am able to review it. But when I try to submit the form. It gives me this error.
    Notification type 57 not defined
and for other form it gives Notification type 56 not defined.
Do we need to set these notification anywhere? In case can any one help me with that procedure?
    THanks for your help..

    Hi James,
Goto tcode - SPRO -> Cross Application Components -> Internet/Intranet Servies -> Scenario Definition - > Prepare General Notification - > Notification Creation -> Define Notification Type...Here you can create a notification as you want.Do let me know still if you have any problem.

  • Error while genrating/creating the notification through HR portal system.

    Hello All,
I am trying to check a PCR/OCR Notification but it seems Notification does not exist.
The notification number is not there in VIQMEL table.
VIQMEL takes reference of 3 tables - QMEL, QMIH and ILOA.
I checked QMIH table for this notification and found a field ILOAN. The ILOAN number given in table QMIH is not there in ILOA table.
Can you explain what could be the possible reason of empty ILOAN field?
Also if you could explain the significance of field ILOAN and how this number is generated?
    My findings:
In the FM "IQS4_CREATE_NOTIFICATION"  at line no 198 there is perform statement as "PERFORM POST_NOTIFICATION_F20 "note 569563"
In the perform statement FM "IQS1_POST_NOTIFICATION" is getting called. In this Fm at line no 87 ABAP statement is as "COMMIT WORK AND WAIT."
We have checked in Development system when this commit is executed one entry for respected notification is getting created in table/view "VIQMEL". But in Quality system after this commit no entry is getting created in this table. I am not able to find reason.

    Hi,
Could you let me know the solution to this?  I'm experiencing the exact same issue.  It happens in QA and not Development as well.

  • PCR's in MSS

    Hello,
I am facing an issue with configuration part in MSS.
i have configured the PCRs (using std Adobe forms) and standard SAP settings
I am stuck at the workflow part of it
Que: lets say Promotion: When the Manager raises a request, does the work item come in HR's worklist (UWL)
currently I have assigned an Agent (which is an HR position)
then when a manager raises a PCR (lets say Promotion) then the HR personnel gets a link in the NOTIFICATION tab
in portal and not in Tasks so now, when this HR guys log's in into the portal he can go to this notification tab n work on this request we are using currently the 1 level workflow as mentioned in the docs
WS50000041) (Approval process with one step approval)
    so the question is...
is this a correct process or are we missing out on something
    also,
The document says, it has to go to someone for approver
approval...now where do we set that
    Please suggest....

    Hi,
    This issue is resolved.
    Solution / Resolution
    1. Is the mentioned process correct? (Messages coming to Notification tab of HR adm and then he processing from the same)
    a. while using WS 50000041, by default, the request goes to the immediate next OU's chief. On Approval, this work item is available for the Personnel Admin for completing the process.
Note: By default, there was no rule assigned in TS 50000075 (Approver). So I have assigned standard rule 50000133.
    b. while using WS 50000031, we were unable to fnd any agent in rule 50000132 as there was no field available in the standard form for entering the first approval's name.
    2. As per one of the WF documents for one/tow level approval process, will the manager also Approve this request before it goes to the HR adm.
Yes, in our case, the HR Admin was not having work item till the request was processed by the respective managers.
    Appreciate your help.

  • Launching PCR-Workflow from Backend in Portal

    Hello
We have a PCR-scenario running (ESS+MSS) with EP 6.0 SP2 Patch 4 HF 7 und CM SP2 P4 HF5 and it works great in the uwl in the portal. But some of our people still prefere working in the Business Workplace ("UWL of the Backend") instead of the uwl in the portal.
If someone tries to launch an item in the backend the portal is called with the old url of the xlauncher.
    Ex:
    http://h008xa.itelligence.ch/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.tc.wf.wfx.xhandler/?wi_id=613456&logsys=lt30020&task=ts93500047&uname=zapfs&langu=d
    The error message is:
Error occured while handling execution request:
Message: No service registered for task "TS93500047".
Please contact your administrator; Details can be found in the component's log.
If i call it in the portal the same item is opend with http://h008xa.itelligence.ch/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.pct.hcm.isrdispatcher.default?iview=com.sap.pct.hcm.isrdispatcher.default&openinnewwindow=yes&wi_id=000000613456&destination=sap_r3_humanresources&item_id=6285&logsys=sap_r3_humanresources&task=ts93500047&uname=zapfs&langu=de
My problem is that the task is allready configured and that the xlauncher is the old technology of EP5.0. How can I change the entries in the backend system to call the correct iView?
Can anyone help me on this one?
    Kind Regards
    Stefan

    Hi,
I don't think it is possible to launch the work item from the backend.. from what I understand, UWL is designed to work by connecting to the backend from the Portal and not the other way around.. what is the end
user trying to do.. appprove the PCR? If they want to approve without even looking at PCR form, they can do it via TCode IQS22 if they know the Notification Number.. But I wouldn't do it..

  • Assign approver in standard PCR.

    Hello,
Our "Request to transfer" PCR is working fine hoever a step seems to be missing.
    1. Manager is able to request PCR for his employee.
    2. HR administrator is able to get the same in notifications and is able to approve and close the same. Request data is updated successfully.
We are using worklflow template WS50000041.
    According to above template :
This template depicts a one-step approval process. When you send the request, it goes to an approver for approval, before it goes to the administrator.
But in our case it is nowhere goiing to any approver.
    Below setting we have done:
    Goto transaction QISRSCENARIO
Select our scenario i.e. SPPM - Request Promotion
Workflow maintained in field 'Create Notification'  - WS50000041
workflow maintained in field 'Notification in Process'  - NOWORKFLOW
Goto transaction SWETYPV and select entry for business object BUS7051 event CREATED
Maintain check function "QGN01_EVENT_NOTIF_CREATED_ISR" for CREATED event
Goto transaction SIMG_SPORT -> MSS -> PCR -> Set up workflows for PCR
Assigned agents to workflow template for change request
    WS50000041 -> PENR Number....
But still no approval step by manager is performed....

    Hello Siddharth,
    As I have read in help.sap.com about ProcessPCR_1(WS50000041) :
As approver, the example uses the rule *ApproverNext*, which gives the form to the manager who is superior to the request author in the organizational hierarchy.
So i feel this process should be standard.
And it should go automatically to manager 1 level above the requesting manager.
Please correct me if i am wrong.
As per above statement i fell we dont have to do ant explicit defining of any approver.
However in our case we only have one level of hierarchy.
So that might be reason that no manager is getting the same in their UWL as Task for approval.
Please comment on whether i am right or wrong.

I am using SPPM mss/pcr scenario.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Renato.

    Hi Renato,
When you are using PCRs/ISRs the form data is read from the XML data attached to the R/3 Notification object.
ISRFormApprove in particular expects that this XML dat already exists and is correctly attached to the R/3 Notification object.
    So:
    1) Check your UWL is connecting ok to your SAP system - which I presume it is otherwise you wouldn't be getting the work item.
    2) Check the system alias from the system landscape used for your UWL system connection - make sure that its the right one and has the webdynpro host/port/path details defined.  Use the Connection Test options in the Portal Content Directory to check it.
    3) Check you have passed in a valid R/3 notification number - i.e. you should be able to display the notification in transaction IQS3 in the backend SAP system.
    4) Check the XML data is correctly linked to the form. The easiest way is probably to use transaction SE37 test option against function module ISR_SPECIAL_DATA_GET.
It should return a list of all your PCR characterstics and their values.
If all that's working and its still not happening for you, check you have the latest fixes as per SAP notes, and then raise an SAP message.
    Regards,
    Jocelyn

  • Workflow in PCRs

    Namaste,
Do we have to assign a workflow in Define Scenario Attributes for all the PCRs which we intend to use? If yes, how do we do it?
    Krishna Murthy

    Hello Krishna,
    Follow these steps
To assign the workflow template to an ISR scenario, proceed as follows:
           1.      In Customizing of the ERP system, choose Cross-Application Components ® Internet/Intranet Services ® Internal Service Request ® Scenario Definition ® Define Scenarios ®  ® Version ® Additional Data for Scenario.
           2.      Choose New Entries and enter the name of the ISR scenario again.
           3.      In the Create Notification field, enter the workflow template WS31000009 and confirm the entry.
           4.      Choose Assignment of Processors and create a new entry for each role you want to use (such as Notification Processor, Approver). Assign a user to a role.

  • MSS PCR confirmation -- customization

    Hi Experts,
I am facing problem in customizing PCR (request for seperation(enhanced)).
    Environment:
    EP 7.0 SP 12
    ECC 6.0 SP 11
    MSS 1.0 SP 09
    NWDS 7.0.12
    Requirement:
Customize three PCRs in the SAP suggested standard way.
first PCR is request for seperation(enhanced).
In this PCR there are 5 steps
    Select Employee
    Select Form
    Edit Form
    Review Form
    Send(Save)
After which you get a confirmation page saying:
Your request has been sucessfully ....bla ...bla and your notification number is bla...bla
Now the customization required is that there has to be no workflow, so I (as a portal developer) have to add a push button(update database) on the cofirmation page which would call a RFC with the notification number and that RFC will update the database.
I have configured NWDI and imported all the required components on the development track and there are no dirty DCs, I am able to see all the DCs.
When I have a look at the code in the DC ....mss/pcr it shows me only the initial two screens while the rest of the screens seem to be dynamically generated by the FPM(it is entering FPM event loop).[CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG]
I am deploying the Self Service Administrator handy for the future.
I am stuck at this point for a week not able proceed.
Please suggest/correct me as to how to proceed further.
Just a reminder that I only have to worry about putting the push button.
    Thanx all

You can set up ISR to make sure there is no workflow. However, the end result will be that it still goes to the proper admin to actually make the change (via Action Box config). I think what you seek is an "auto update" which is NOT supported in PCRs. However, in ECC6, you might want to look at the new Process and Forms which are part of HRAS (HR Admin services) that is replacing PCRs. I think it now supports automatic updates. Hope this helps.
