PCR workflows in MSS

Hi friends
Am working on PCR workflow for employee group change and personal area change and separation. I can design the workflow but where to tag my workflow. So that when i rise the new PCR for any separation or any employee group change. How to tag the workflow so it get triggers from MSS.

Error in PCR WorkFlow

Hi ,
I am working on PCR WorkFlows, the problem is the workflow is triggering but when i look at the errors in SWI1Container
it is showing like
"Resolution of rule AC50000134 for task TS50000075: no agent found"
Can any one tell me what could be the problem?

This shows that system is not maintained with agent for that user or employee. Better check the releation ship is maintained for the employee with ur functional consultant. OR do this way for checking the releation ship. Go to PFAC t-code check with rule no 168 enter the Extended object ID = employee number and Object type = p and check how many approvers come. Accordingly you do it.

Hello All,

Dear Rick,
I went to SWU_OBUF and started the synchronization.
However, I got no confirmation message or any kind of acknowledgment. I tried the workflow again but I still get the same error messages.
What do you mean by re-activating the workflow?

PCR's in MSS

Hello,
I am facing an issue with configuration part in MSS.
i have configured the PCRs (using std Adobe forms) and standard SAP settings
I am stuck at the workflow part of it
Que: lets say Promotion: When the Manager raises a request, does the work item come in HR's worklist (UWL)
currently I have assigned an Agent (which is an HR position)
then when a manager raises a PCR (lets say Promotion) then the HR personnel gets a link in the NOTIFICATION tab
in portal and not in Tasks so now, when this HR guys log's in into the portal he can go to this notification tab n work on this request we are using currently the 1 level workflow as mentioned in the docs
WS50000041) (Approval process with one step approval)
so the question is...
is this a correct process or are we missing out on something
also,
The document says, it has to go to someone for approver
approval...now where do we set that

This issue is resolved.
Solution / Resolution
1. Is the mentioned process correct? (Messages coming to Notification tab of HR adm and then he processing from the same)
a. while using WS 50000041, by default, the request goes to the immediate next OU's chief. On Approval, this work item is available for the Personnel Admin for completing the process.
Note: By default, there was no rule assigned in TS 50000075 (Approver). So I have assigned standard rule 50000133.
b. while using WS 50000031, we were unable to fnd any agent in rule 50000132 as there was no field available in the standard form for entering the first approval's name.
2. As per one of the WF documents for one/tow level approval process, will the manager also Approve this request before it goes to the HR adm.
Yes, in our case, the HR Admin was not having work item till the request was processed by the respective managers.

Setting up a sample PCR form in MSS

Hello All,
We are planning to implement MSS. Initially , to start with and to see how the look and feel is , there is a need to to set up MSS and configure a PCR form ( ex.. Request for Separation).
following steps will be taken care by one team ( As per SAP Library for MSS)
   1.      Setting Up the System Landscape.
   2.        Assigning Portal Roles to Users.
   3.       Configuring the Internet Graphics Service.
   4.       Configuring the Adobe Document Services.
   5.       Setting Up JCo Connections for MSS).
   6.        Setting Up the Universal Worklist.
   7.        settings for the individual iViews .
Question : Since we are planning to use a standard delivered PCR form..
                 what is the level of configuration needed on the R/3 ( IMG/SPRO) side.   Also what level of customizing is needed for ISR settings.
In short , just trying to get an estimate of how much of an effort will be needed from backend ( R/3 or IMG side) to set up MSS and to test a standard PCR form
using as much standard delivered stuff as possible.

It depends on the version of SAP & MSS.. anyway for an out-of-the box PCR, the effort would be minimal.. you might need the assistance of a Workflow resource to activate the workflow & setting up the Agents etc.. If you don'thave to add any additional fields to the PCR, I don't think there is anythingelse to do..

PCR in the MSS

Hi gurus,
we are having a problem with the PCR .When the lower manager submits the request it is succesfully submitted but it is not appearing in the other level Manager worklist or in the PCR status.We are using the workflow 50000041 for all the PCR's.
When I see in the lower manager history It is giving this message
Result of agent resolution does not agree with agents of task.
Please it's very urgent.

There are two options, the agents found for the task are not in the possible agents, or the agent which started the task doesn't have authorizations for the transaction in the task.

"Name not known" error in all PCR of the MSS Package

Hi,
I'm getting an error in the PCR workset of the MSS package.
When I submit any form the error which I get is
"Name not known.Check your entries" .
Is this due to some problem in R/3 settings?
Also when I submit a PCR "Request for separation(enhanced)" I get an exception.
The log entry for this exception is as follows:
_27##0#0#Error#1#com.sap.sup.admin.connector.AbapConnectorLauncher#Plain###Cannot start ABAP Connector Listener. Please try to configure the connection in ABAP Systems Management (Setup Local Connectivity).

With other words, you are using the BP for MSS 60.1.5 or later.
Can you connect to the backend via a Java Connection?
Also this link will guide you much further. It helped me a lot for the new MSS forms (ECC 50).

Launching PCR-Workflow from Backend in Portal

We have a PCR-scenario running (ESS+MSS) with EP 6.0 SP2 Patch 4 HF 7 und CM SP2 P4 HF5 and it works great in the uwl in the portal. But some of our people still prefere working in the Business Workplace ("UWL of the Backend") instead of the uwl in the portal.
If someone tries to launch an item in the backend the portal is called with the old url of the xlauncher.
Ex:

My problem is that the task is allready configured and that the xlauncher is the old technology of EP5.0. How can I change the entries in the backend system to call the correct iView?

Hi,
I don't think it is possible to launch the work item from the backend.. from what I understand, UWL is designed to work by connecting to the backend from the Portal and not the other way around.. what is the end
user trying to do.. appprove the PCR? If they want to approve without even looking at PCR form, they can do it via TCode IQS22 if they know the Notification Number.. But I wouldn't do it..

Previous Button is not working in PCR forms in MSS

Hi All,
We are configuring the MSS scenarios for PCR (Persnel Chaneg Reques) forms under the Work workset.
I am able to select the pdf form review it and submit but what is happening is whenever I click the <b>previous step button</b>, I get the <b>Internet Explorer Error</b>, asking me send error report or Dont send. When I click dont send , it takes me back to the login screen.
I checked the browser and tried in different system and they all working in the same manner as I described above.
Is there anything I'm missing out? Did anyone encounter similar errors?

Yes the IE crashes when I hit the previous step. I tried different IE settings still no go.
We have implemented ECC6.0 (ERP2005), EP7.0 SP9 (NW2004s).
Accoring to the note that you suggested (SAP Note 950797), it says
NW2004 SP 15 will eleminate this problem. But I guess we are using more advanced version.. and still having the same issue.
I will open an OSS also if there are any other suggestions please do let me know

Thanks for the reply guys. The ADS has been activated and was working earlier.....The Adobe Credential file exists at the path :
\usr\sap\*sys-id*\SYS\global\AdobeDocumentServices\TrustManagerService\trust\credentials which is a .pfx -file of type P12-record and which is valid till 2023. Do we still need to order the credentials....?

PCR link in MSS

Hi All,
When I go to MSS tab . I click on team then it shows two PCR link .
But it supposed to show only one PCR link.
Can you please tell me why it is showing 2 PCR link.

Hi Nilima,
Somebody might have had made a copy of it, without your knowledge.
Scroll down to MSS role in the PCD and open it by right clicking on it. Check if you have 2 entires of PCR there, which most likely would be.
Open each of them separetly and you can find, "last edited by" property and delete one PCR and you are good to go.
P.S Please ensure that you are deleting the right one, which was last edited or created by somebody from your team.
