PCR Workflows

Hi Friends,
What would be a good starting point for PCR workflows? Is there any standard workflows available to understand the basics?

Error in PCR WorkFlow

Hi ,
I am working on PCR WorkFlows, the problem is the workflow is triggering but when i look at the errors in SWI1Container
it is showing like
"Resolution of rule AC50000134 for task TS50000075: no agent found"
Can any one tell me what could be the problem?

This shows that system is not maintained with agent for that user or employee. Better check the releation ship is maintained for the employee with ur functional consultant. OR do this way for checking the releation ship. Go to PFAC t-code check with rule no 168 enter the Extended object ID = employee number and Object type = p and check how many approvers come. Accordingly you do it.

PCR workflows in MSS

Hi friends
Am working on PCR workflow for employee group change and personal area change and separation. I can design the workflow but where to tag my workflow. So that when i rise the new PCR for any separation or any employee group change. How to tag the workflow so it get triggers from MSS.

PCR workflow - HTTP handler for starting an external service cannot be read

Hi,
We are implementing PCR Approval using adobe forms. Currently when we try to open the adobe form for Approval from the UWL we get the error(it actually displays with an information message symbol) "HTTP handler for starting an external service cannot be read" in an ITS screen. We found an exactly similar problem in the below link but unable to find a resolution from that.

Diagnosis
This work item is a link to a HTTP service. To start the service, a launch handler must be known to the SAP System.
However, the system could not find a launch handler.
System response
The workflow system cannot start execution of the work item.
Procedure
Contact your workflow administrator:
In Customizing you must maintain a launch handler for HTTP-supported dialog services.
We use the standard task TS50000075 for PCR Approval
Can anyone help us on this?

I tried the transactions SICF and WF_HANDCUST.
1. In SICF under sap>bc>webflow-->wshandler when i double click on wshandler it shows that the service is active. But when i right click on the same and try to TEST it, i get an error
Error in Web service execution
The launch handler was called with an incomplete parameter list 
I am not sure what this error means.
The configurations available in this service are as follows,
ICF path --> /default_host/sap/bc/webflow/
ICF Object --> wshandler
Decription --> English
Logon Procedure --> Standard
Security Requirements --> Standard
Basic Authentication --> Standard R/3 user
Anonymous logon data
client --> <empty>
user --> empty
password --> <empty-stillinitial>
Language --> <empty>
I am not clear what id and password should be maintained here. Can you please help us on this.
2. When i try to generate the URL in WF_HANDCUST and test them i get a success message.

PCR workflows are Blank

Dear All,
I searched in the SAP library and found the workflows for PCR's as
WS50000031 - ProcessPCR_2
WS50000041 - ProcessPCR_1
WS50000033 - Subworkflow ApprovePCR
but when i login into the Workflow builder and checked these workflows, its available as Blank.
Is there any Notes needs to be applied in the system for looking this workflow/activating this workflow?

Kindly do this once again,
1. Execute function module SWD_WFD_REPLICATE_FROM_9999 in the client, you need to have the newest template definition.
2. Enter your workflow template ID (with pattern "WSxxxxxxxx") in parameter IM_TASK and execute. Make sure that you do not lock the template in SWDD.
for example : WS50000031 and execute the function module.
3. Then you need to execute transaction SWU_OBUF to synchronize the buffer.
While doing these things dont have any other sections.

Launching PCR-Workflow from Backend in Portal

Hello
We have a PCR-scenario running (ESS+MSS) with EP 6.0 SP2 Patch 4 HF 7 und CM SP2 P4 HF5 and it works great in the uwl in the portal. But some of our people still prefere working in the Business Workplace ("UWL of the Backend") instead of the uwl in the portal.
If someone tries to launch an item in the backend the portal is called with the old url of the xlauncher.
Ex:

The error message is:

If i call it in the portal the same item is opend with http://h008xa.itelligence.ch/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.pct.hcm.isrdispatcher.default?iview=com.sap.pct.hcm.isrdispatcher.default&openinnewwindow=yes&wi_id=000000613456&destination=sap_r3_humanresources&item_id=6285&logsys=sap_r3_humanresources&task=ts93500047&uname=zapfs&langu=de
My problem is that the task is allready configured and that the xlauncher is the old technology of EP5.0. How can I change the entries in the backend system to call the correct iView?
Can anyone help me on this one?

Hi,
I don't think it is possible to launch the work item from the backend.. from what I understand, UWL is designed to work by connecting to the backend from the Portal and not the other way around.. what is the end
user trying to do.. appprove the PCR? If they want to approve without even looking at PCR form, they can do it via TCode IQS22 if they know the Notification Number.. But I wouldn't do it..

PCR workflow

Using ECC5 and Portal.I've cconfigure PCR to use the SAP standard with approval. When I click on the link in UWL I get the error below.
Is there a missing config somewhere?
It seem to be looking for a ITS service.
Can anyone confirm how the PCR suposed to work in ECC5.

PCR Workflow Error

Dear All,
This workflow was working. It used to arrive in the UWL successfully and the item in the UWL contained the correct type of request. For example, the item looked like this: Process Change Request 'Request Promotion'
Now, the item does not provide the type of request. eg Process Change Request
Also, upon clicking on the item in the UWL to launch the web dynpro application, I get the following error:
Message number cannot be read from workflow container
Can anyone help with this please?

Do we have to assign a workflow in Define Scenario Attributes for all the PCRs which we intend to use? If yes, how do we do it?

Hello Krishna,
Follow these steps
To assign the workflow template to an ISR scenario, proceed as follows:
       1.      In Customizing of the ERP system, choose Cross-Application Components ® Internet/Intranet Services ® Internal Service Request ® Scenario Definition ® Define Scenarios ® ® Version ® Additional Data for Scenario.
       2.      Choose New Entries and enter the name of the ISR scenario again.
       3.      In the Create Notification field, enter the workflow template WS31000009 and confirm the entry.
       4.      Choose Assignment of Processors and create a new entry for each role you want to use (such as Notification Processor, Approver). Assign a user to a role.

MSS PCR Notification/Workflow

Hi,
We have been trying to use the MSS PCR for Separation. We are able to successfully submit the PCR however, there are no workflows triggered.
Appreciate if you can advise on how to setup to trigger workflow. Alternatively, appreciate advise on how to know where the notifications are sent.

PCR Workflow can be activated using the Tcode PCRWF. You can know the status of the workflow by checking the workflow overview for the Notification using Tcode IQS22.

PCR Work Flow Error

Hi,
I am working on PCR WorkFlows, the problem i am getting is .. when the PCR is executed from MSS it is coming to UWL as task . But when try to open that .. it is giving me the error like ....
"Critcal Error.
Message number cannot read from Workflow Container...."
When i check through SBWP there i am getting one error in step History... Saying
" HTTP handler for starting an external service cannot be read "
Can any one tell me wt could be the problem ? Am i missing some config ?

Hi Baldwin,
All workflow paths in CUP are triggered by an Initiator. Once the request from ERM meets "Initiator" ("ROLE_APPROVAL") requirements in CUP, the request will go to the first stage defined in the respective path. Approvers defined in each stage of the path can approve request. Once the request is approved in CUP, approval information will be sent to ERM and then the role in ERM will be moved to the next stage.

PCR send email to email inbox

We are ECC 6. system. We want to send an email to hr adminsitrator's inbox in case a PCR is routed to them.
Through extended notification it is possible but we also want to send across all the detials that the manager has requested in the PCR in the email as well. Hence, I was thinking whether adding another step to the PCR workflow would be a good idea.
Has any one done this before and can they share experience and the best approach

How to automatic update necessary infotypes at the end in ISR framework

Hi experts,
I want to create a custom PCR scenario based on ISR framework. This scenario will transfer a person from one position to another position. In the normal PCR scenario, the final change of the person's infotype data is done by following-up functions which are defined in the scenario action boxes. These following-up functions require an administrator to login system then mannually choose one following-up function to make the update to the system data. I wonder if it is possible to let the system automatically update the backend system at the end of the execution of ISR scenario. The ISR scenario has a setting called 'Automatic Update', will this help? Or we need to add a step in the PCR workflow to do it? Thanks a lot.

Automating those kind of updates is part of the new HCM Processes and Forms which is in fact a replacment for PCRs. I would look into that if you can.
