I recieved notification of an update to my PCsuite, downloaded and installed update, now unable to connect my N70 to my PC via USB cable.

Unfortunately 6.83 V14.1 seems to be causing some connectivity problems. I don't know whether you are on XP or Vista, but have you thought of trying system restore to get you back to a previous version?
The moral of the story now seems to be check out the discussion groups before allowing updating PCSuite or NSU!

6010? PCSuite compatible or not?

I have a large collection of phone numbers on my Nokia 6010 phone. I need to back them up or synchronize them with my computer. Best I can tell, 6010 is not listed among the model numbers served by PC Suite: http://www.nokiausa.com/support/pcsuite/download?noflash=1#download
So if it is not supported, what am I to do?

Umm, thanks. I've done that. But how does one get contacts from a SIM card synchronized to one's computer?
Oh, and by the way, not all phones read this SIM card. I guess it's a function of my phone service provider's proprietary position.

New Version of PC Suite?

Hi there,
I've currently got PC Suite last updated May 24th.
I was at my friend's house last night and their copy of NPCS updated itself when we were online to August 2nd edition (or something like that - cant remember)...
So I turned my pc on this morning to get the same update and nothing's happened..
Ive gone to the main download page and got nothing back there either..
Can you help?!
Yup, life sure moves pretty fast...

I think the update notifications of Nokia PC Suite happen at regular intervals to all users, but not necessarily at the same date. So if you would like to update your version, just go to www.nokia.com/pcsuite, download the latest 6.81.13 to your desktop and doubleclick the exe-file, follow instaructions are you are updated.

PCSuite no longer downloads photos, just sits ther...

Yesturday I had just gone into the store images in pcsuite. It was starting to black scroll to download the images, my phone rang, it looked like it had finished so I pulled the link and answered the phone... When I went back to check, all the images are still on my phone, but nothing on my pc, AND now nothing will download at all, it reverts back to 9-24-2009 as the default save location, but the black bar goes about 1cm and then stops, nothing happens, it won't download anything...
Did I mess something up by pulling the plug? Perhaps it wasn't finished when I pulled the link and corrupted something?
I have taken a new photo to see if I can get the software to recongnize the image is new, no such luck, same thing happens..

Any ideas what I can do to get this to work?
I am using a Nokia 6500C. And PCSuite Version 6.83.14.1. Phone firmware, not sure, it was upgraded once I think last year by Nokia service center.
XP SP3
Connection method is cable

How about checking your issue in Nokia PC Suite 7.1.30.0 latest version Do you have any concern in migrating to the latest pc suite?

How to download SIS file

I am using N95, I can't download SIS installer with the build in browser as well as in Opera, the file opens in text editor instead.

Files with sis/sisx extension is a symbian application & usual installed tru use of pcsuite install appl menu. If it does not install then its not suited for your N95, which is S60 3rd edition.

I'm glad you're able to move things along yourself and therefore answer your own questions! Shows that you're putting in the effort! :-)
With regards to uninstalling the DKU-2 drivers, I've detailed how you can do this in another post although as the post says, be very careful when following the instructions... link is as follows:

Once you've got the old DKU-2 drivers removed, try reinstalling PC Suite 6.7 and it should work ok.
Just to clarify an earlier point as well, the PC Suite should connect ok to multiple phones... even at the same time!!

Application Error for PcSuite.exe & PcSync.exe : F...

I'm facing this Applicaton Error problem when I click on to Nokia PC Suite (even after repairing / removing / and re-downloading the newest software version).

How to solve this problem ??? I can't connect my Nokia 5320 with the computer now.

I don't use Windows myself but from what I've seen on these boards, this kind of thing can be caused by an antivirus getting in the way.

Map download takes hours

Hi Everyone,
I have a mac so if anyone knows how to download the maps on mac let me know.
I tried to download the Au map on the work computer and had to stop it because it took 4 hours and we closed, now when i try to down load the maps its saying 17hours to do so anyone have a solution?

It is a lot faster downloading to microSD in card reader on PC than to phone as mass storage device! UK maps take about 3 hours for 100Mb to phone in evenings!
Interesting using MAC as I'm using Intel MAC with boot camp
and Nokia stuff is on the "other side"
I have found incidentally that PCSuite 6.83 v14.1 is the first version that I can't download onto MAC desktop and shove across the partition - "not compatible" OS in use!
I'm surprised that Maploader will work on the MAC

Cant uninstall old version of nokia pcsuite

i got a new phone and i tryed to uninstall d old version but an errer message came up i got a programme called your unstaller and it uninstalled it i tought but it cant be seen in remove and add programmes but when i try and install the new pcsuite it still says something like nokia connectivy can not work with this version of nokia pc suite uninstall or update but i cant find d old version because i think its deleted please help

You can download PC Suite cleaner from here
Hopefully that should help uninstall it for you depending on what the actual problem is of course.

PCSuite 6.83 install error

Hi,
I run WinXP SP2.
I have previously uninstalled my previous version of PCSuite (see also PCSuiteCleanerLogFile_5-28-2007_111417) which was working fine, in order to upgrade.
I obtain the following screen when attempting to install PCSuite 6.83 from Nokia_PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_ita_web.exe:

"Unsuccessful installation.
Damaged configuration data of the product. Contact support personnel."
I have disactivated my antivirus and tried twice again downloading the installer and installing, to no avail - same message.
I am enclosing the PC Suite Cleaner 3.6.002 analysis before and after, as well as some other log files.
I am really at a loss and would greatly appreciate your help

E51.1 connectivity to PCSuite

Hi,
I am having problems with connecting to my PC via USB cable after downloading the latest verison of PCSuite. I also use a Plantronics wireless headset which connects via Bluetooth. There seems to be a conflict between bluetooth and cable which may be causing the prolems. Skimming through similar postings on this site I see that many others also seem to have problems with connecting after downloading the latest version, althoug not with the same model.
Does anyone have a solution and could maybe someone from NOKIA please advise how to handle this issue. It is quite frustrating when this is supposed to be a business phone.

As far as i know, the supported version of Essbase 9.3 is of client type and Essbase 7.1 is of server type.
So, you can use the Essbase 9.3 as a client to connect to the 7.1 Essbase server.

6270 Image Download Problems

With my Nokia 6270, whenever I use the Store Images option in Nokia PC Suite, it always keeps downloading the same pictures from my Nokia mobile onto my computer (i.e. not just the new ones, but the old ones as well so that I keep getting duplicate copies of the old images). I have tried changing the settings, etc. but it seems like it keeps identifying old images on my mobile as new ones and keeps transferring them to my computer.
Any way to solve this problem?

Yes, it is quite possible. The phones ship with a certain version of Nokia PC Suite, but the newest one is always available at www.nokia.com/pcsuite.
I have learned through this forum that sometimes even the country sites of Nokia may still have an older version available, but the global site always has the newest one.

grrr.... with the number of people how have asked this exact question since i first bought my nokia phone a year ago, you'd think nokia would emblazen across their homepage, "MAC USERS you don't need PCSUITE, you need Nokia Multimedia Transfer"
but they dont. so i don't blame you for asking.
1. psychomania is right, albeit a bit abrupt: there is no PCSuite for the mac.
2. abrupt? yes. because there is an alternative software 'suite' for you: the combination of iSync and nokia's own 'Nokia Multimedia Transfer'. that's the short answer i would like to have seen posted as the first response to your query. go here:

that's nokia's MAC software page. download the iSync plugin for your phone and the Nok...Mult...Transfer (lets call it NMT, shall we?) program.
3. the LONG answer. while some people complain (habitually) that nokia doesn't properly support the mac, etc etc, i can think of nothing truly missing from the iSync+NMT combo. with this combo you get:
* iPhoto integration (including automatically copying scaled copies of photos back to your phone post transfer to the MAC)
* iTunes integration - including album art if you have it (sadly, this seems to only work for AAC files, but since this codec was DESIGNED to REPLACE mp3, and chances are you have mp3 now, converting to this format is generally a Good Thing)
* Address Book integration - yup, with all the numbers, notes and even contact photos intact
* iCal integration - todos, anniversaries, you get the idea
* Safari bookmark sync - either sync the phone to a specific folder in safari, or add all of safari's bookmarks to the phone, or both
so, what's missing? automatic sync when bluetooth comes in range? does pcsuite do this? (honestly, i don't know). my mac does. it's not part of the software listed above, but you can do it. i've got mine setup with 'Salling Clicker' to automatically run iSync when i'm in range up to twice a day. salling clicker isn't free, but it works across a large range of phones and computers (even runs on windows). i bought it 4 cell phones ago, back when i was a sony ericsson guy. i highly suggest you consider using it - even if you switch to windows and windows mobile somewhere down the line you'll be glad to have a license for this app handy (think: wireless remote control for every app in my computer, including actions when my phone rings like muting the music i'm blasting so i can hear the thing ring)

PCSuite "Get connected" freezes after issuing pass...

Hello, I just bought two identical 6125s for my wife and myself. Having downloaded the PCSuite, I thought I'd make backups of both phones just in case thru Bluetooth. However, I managed to get just my own phone to get properly connected, and made a successful backup. When I tried with the other one, it never got past the passcode issue in Get Connected, and now, my phone doesn't get past it either. I restarted both phones, restarted my PC, reinstalled PCSuite, and nothing works. Direct file transfer does work and I have sent many files thru BTooth all day. The system is as follows:
