PDApp.exe crashes, cant run, uninstall, deactivate

I have CS5 Design standard installed on a win 7 64bit machine.
The individual programs are used sporadically, and mainly adobe pro and indesign.
Recently i have tried to run illustrator, but as soon as the program starts.
It will crash with a message:

Now i have since discovered that this application manager controls just about everything.
so i can no longer run updates, i can deactivate the license, i cant reinstall or repair.
nothing will work other then i can assume a complete wipe of the system and start fresh.
But as i can deactivate my license i will run into problems there.
i did find an issue that appeared to mimic my problem

Kernelbase crashing indicates a mundane permissions issue. The programs simply cannot launch the pertinent auxilairy apps and services because soemthing is blocking them. check your virus scanner and user privileges.

Can compile, javaw.exe crashes on run

I am running Windows XP on a Dell Inspiron 9300, and whenever I try to run a java application, javaw.exe has to close and I get all the windows warnings.
I am able to compile programs without any problem, but whenever I try to run, my computer freezes up for a few minutes, and then I get the close message again. Anyone know what I could do to fix this? I can give more information if necessary as well.

Flash cs6 exe crash once run it on long time

I had an .exe file export from flash pro cs6, once i run it on lont time it will shut down it self.
For this exe file i using as3 for coding, is it there is enter frame keep checking my code so that exe file will close itself ?

I cant run the latest version of firefox on my mac OS, need to uninstall it

I downloaded the latest firefox so I could use the firefox app for my new Iphone. I only have Mac OS X 10.4.11 and the new firefox wont run on it. Now whenever I open firefox I just get told that I cant run it on my OS. I want my firefox back! All my bookmarks, my addblocker. Safari stinks! I don't know how to uninstall it if I can't even open it! help!

Think I just found it. You need to click on the right hand side where it says Firefox 3.6.16 (under the search.
It's confusing because on the left the are some Firefox 3.6.16 for other languages.

Updating CS6 by directly running PDAPP.EXE

We recently installed CS6 individually on about 20 Windows XP systems. I needed to find a way to allow our students, who have regular User rights, to run updates. I configured our system management software with an icon to run Adobe Application Manager (PDAPP.EXE) with system-level rights. We also set up our own internal update server. This worked perfectly for one or two update cycles. Now, however, when we run PDAPP directly through that icon, rather than looking for updates the program appears to be running instead in a mode that wants to manage which applications are installed on the machine. Is there a command line switch or something for PDAPP that I can use to make it resume its former behavior of checking for updates? Alternatively, are there other options to update CS6 with just Users logged in? Thank you.

I had that issue too, found the solution somewhere here, which was:
Use the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, it will promp a window, just follow the steps, english then yes and then choose creative cloud.
After that I was finally able to use the PDApp.exe to show software updates instead of the list of them.
BUT, I don't know if it will work with only user rights and win XP, I'm with win7 and with administrator right so...

Your install log indicates you are facing file permission issues. You can see an example here:

You will want to adjust the file permissions for C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe and C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe. Internet Explorer Crashes and Uninstall setup.exe crashes

Hi all! I've been able to install Siebel Tools 8.1 but not the Siebel 8.1 client. I think there was a problem during the installation. Now, Internet Explorer crashes and when i try to uninstall Siebel in accordance with [this recommendation|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14004_01/books/SiebInstWIN/SiebInstCOM_UninstallSiebel9.html#wp1520277] setup.exe crashes. As of now, I've been using the web service instead since i cannot figure out what to do.
What might be the problem?

Why does system suite pro 12 crash when running file cleaner is running while firefox is installed? If I uninstall firefox then system suite pro 12 won't crash.

When I downloaded the newest version of firefox system suite pro 12 crashes when running file cleaner after I uninstall firefox system suite pro 12 doesn't crash. I have window 7 premium home edition 64 bit.

You should know a few things before before getting started:
1. Registry "cleaners" and "system optimizers" like SystemSuite are very unreliable, cause more problems then they propose to fix, have little to no benefit, and are somewhat of a scam. Running them on a system is almost guaranteeing a crash or hiccups somewhere along the process. running them is never a good idea. all you need is a good, simple, free anti-virus (like Microsoft Security Essentials), and use the built in Windows Utilities to clean and sped up your computer if needed.
2. This is a Firefox forum, so if you are having a problem with SystemSuite, we might not be able to help you.
I'll give you a few things you can do to see if this is just a Windows problem:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].
Update all your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): [http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/].
Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.
Plus, I'd strongly recommend removing systemsuite and any other "optimizers" you might have.

PDapp.exe asking me to sign in but crashes when i do

Hi there,
I use Photoshop CC on 3 devices (work, home & laptop) but never at the same time obviously - this means I have to sign in every now and again and boot the other devices off - that's fine and has worked OK since launch.
In the last week I'm having trouble with this, the PDapp.exe window is popping up and asking me to sign in, but when I enter & submit the credentials, the window goes grey & the lower right indicator just starts spinning indefinitely - no error, no warnings or anything - I have to kill the app with task manager.
I've tried leaving it running for minutes, sometimes hours with no difference - meanwhile photoshop is working fine.
Any ideas?

Flash crashed continued to crash so I uninstall only to not be able to reinstall

Hey there yesterday i began to get problems with flash after installing Java although the two didn't seem to affect each other it may of just been coincidence, also i don't know if it has anything to do with it but just before the problems started occurring my google mail told me someone from china had tried to log in to my account. Anyway so i was getting the usual flash player has crashed send crash report thing so i tried to update flash but when i tried to run the .exe nothing happened so i ran as administrator i got asked to allow for adobe to make changes on the hard drive as usual but then nothing. So after more research i found i should try flash 10.3 i think so i did and still the .exe doesn't run it asks to make changes as if it is going to but doesn't. Any help on this would be much appreciated as i am close to uninstalling and reinstalling all browsers but i can't see that helping as it is the .exe not running. A few extra details google chrome just won't load pages full stop this also started yesterday and i have norton 360 antivirus so i would of thought i would be nicely protected. Internet explorer 11 cause explorer.exe crashes

Just to let you know a little tips that can help for other about IE11 and explorer crashes fix
I don't know where posting that, so it will be here ! :)
Yesterday i decided to install Internet explorer 11 on my freshly installed Windows 7 Pro ed.
No problems during install, but after the reboot, my computer went on a strange state:
- Explorer keeps crashes itself everytime i launched a tool from the run command, or simply when i wanted to launch an explorer or other.
- Some services couldn't start (svchost, dhcp client, search, wmi etc ...)
- No launched programs in the taskbar.
- Security essentials failed to launch
- Funny thing : i could type only 4 letters into the run command, impossible to launch anythink except (hopefully) a CMD prompt :D
so after breaking my head on my desk, i decided to try something :
on a CMD i ran a SFC /scannow and it repaired some errors, not all.
I parsed the CBS.LOG file, and realized that one DLL failed to repair on the generated txt (see details below) :
this dll was : IEPROXY.DLL and i made the link between my IE11 installation and this dll.
==> method to parse the CBS.LOG file : launch CMD as admin and type the following:
findstr /C:"[SR] Cannot repair member file" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt
so here is the fix/workaround : simply uninstall IE11!
But ... wait, you cannot access to APPWIZ.CPL (remember: impossible to laucn the control panel without crashing explorer) so we will uninstall IE11 with a command line:
on the CMD type this :
FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*11.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /quiet /norestart"
when it's ok, simply restart the computer, IE10 will be available automatically and the issue disapeared.

Safari 5.1 Win 7 constantly logging me out of websites, WebKit2WebProcess.exe crashes

Finally updated to 5.1 last night, Safari now contantly logs me out of various webistes (gmail, facebook, youtube, google, hotmail, kotaku, ign, gamespot, and practicvally every website that requires log in). Also, some websites (facebook and gmail) keep telling me I have my accept cookies setting tuned off, when it's set on "only from sites I visit", had to set it to "always" before I can log in.
Also, every now and then something called "WebKit2WebProcess.exe" crashes, but it doesn't seem to effect browsing in general. But both of this problems never happened with 5.05, so I thought switching back to 5.05 should solve this.
And it doesn't, switched back to 5.05, then to 5.04 and back to 5.05 again today, only the "WebKit2WebProcess.exe" crashes stopped. Logging out bug now also happens with older versions of Safari. I tried clearing caches, cookies, and resetting Safari, nothing works.
Maybe a separate software essential to Safari thats updated with the 5.1 update, is causing the bug; and reverting back to 5.05 and 5.04 doesn't revert this buggy software? Perhaps its a software that has something to do with cookies?

Make sure after running Programs: Uninstall that those directories are cleared, you should not need to do so manually.

And I repeat my recommendation to invest in free or commercial (and test it too) with "clone OS" of your choice for backups.
You're fine. Apple installed all that and can be uninstalled, and reinstalled.
But.... I was also this would allow you to reinstall, and install an older version. Otherwise the older version will not "downgrade" or touch a newer application support library, not usually, and not in fruitville.
I left iTunes - I said that in the post you are replying to.
I have not, and will not, bother with Safari again, ever. It looks nice, and easy to read which I like, but I spent too much time - they should tell customers or have a real public beta and have an extra million people kick the tires for a month or two first.
Safari also behaves different on the Community Forums in ways that IE9 and Firefox do not, but not enough to pull me over, which was my main reason, and that 5.1 was a major security update, as is the latest QuickTime version for Windows.
They should install and function better if you start from a clean slate (start from scratch), same as how things work and feel after a clean install - which is true of any platform or OS.

Please remove SQL server from add remove program.If you face issue while un-installing use below method to un-install
a. Click Start. Type REGEDIT in the Start Search bar and press Enter.
b. Select Computer (the root node) in the left pane, click Export under the File menu, choose All under Export range, select Desktop in the Save in box and type backup in File Name. Click Save.
1. Delete the entire Microsoft SQL Server folder from the registry at :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ and search for components related to default instance. Then delete that GUID from following two registry hives:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\<GUID>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\<GUID>
3. Reboot the server and re-try the installation again.
