PDF as printpreview and not download

Hi Experts,
I am aware of the code to download smartforms to pdf. I would like to know if it is possible to display the pdf file when the user clicks on print preview. Something similar to Adobe Interactive Forms in Webdynpro.

One possible alternative could be to download the file on desktop once User click on Print Preview.
Then open the same using CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>Execute.
& Then delete the file using CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>FILE_DELETE.
Not sure whether there is any straight forward solution.
One question : Why not Smartform print preview instead of PDF preview ?

The download selected responses as PDF is hanging and not responding on certain machines. Any suggestions? I've tried from 4 different machines and only 1 works. I can't find the common dinominator though as to why the other 3 wont. It just hangs and never builds the form for download. I need to be able to download it from any of my desks though, so need to find a solution and not sure even where to start looking.

We do support IE 7/8/9 and 10, this should be working in all...

On the machines where you cannot save the response as PDF can you "save/export" anything else? Can you try, from the File menu "Export Responses" and see if you can export an Excel file of the responses? Can you try an alternative web browser (Firefox or Chrome) on the machine/s that are not working?
When it does not work you are seeing a progress bar that never completes? When you cancel that and try again you have the same result?

FYI, this is a forum for storage and sharing...photoshop.com and revel. If you have acrobat issues you might want to make a note of the other forums:
http://forums.adobe.com shows a list of all of them, and specifically http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat this one for Acrobat
But, since I have had this same issue myself...
On Windows, locate your pdf document. Right click it and select "open with". Select Adobe Acrobat. That should do it. On MAC, I'm not sure but I'm guessing there is a similar setting.

Whenever i try to download OS X Mavericks, it will download to 995.6MB then will freeze and not download any further.

Whenever i try to download OS X Mavericks, it will download to 995.6MB then will freeze and not download any further. I have tried restarting the download a couple of times and still nothing happens. Restarted computer and still nothing. I don't know what is happening or if it is a problem my side or on the apple side of things. I am running quite a powerful computer so i dont think it is the computer that is having problems either.

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of what you are describing. If your whole system is hanging or freezing completely, and it is occuring during the download and not during the install portion, you may find the troublehsooting steps outlined in the following article helpful:

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

It sounds like you are wanting to see your past purchases in iTunes on your computer; the purchases that are not downloaded into your iTunes library. You can view and download these in the Purchased section of iTunes. Please use the attached article for further information.

Preview view document online and not download?

Preview is my default PDF viewer. Wondering if there is a way to view pdf using preview online as opposed to having them downloaded everytime I view a document..I could just switch back to Adobe but I do prefer Preview.

No matter what you use, the PDF is still actually downloaded to your machine.
In one case it is downloaded (to Desktop?) then opened and left where it was
downloaded. In the other, it is downloaded, but in your browser's cache and
not readily visible unless you poke around to find it.

Loops missing and not downloading

I upgraded to GB'11 via the app store. Some of the loops are there, but not all of them. When I click on the "ghosted" loops I get a dialogue that says "the software instrument or Apple loop selected is currently being installed." How long does it take to download the loop? That dialogue has been popping up for about 30mins now.
I'm on a MBP with plenty of harddrive space.

Same here! This is making me go crazy. Read someweare that i just had to delete garageband and reinstall it from the apple store. Well that forced me to pay one extra time for the application. (Garabeband was preinstalled with my MacBook Pro) But still it does not download the extra loops.

How do I make IE open PDF inside browser and not prompt?

I am using IE 11, Adobe Reader 11.0.06.
When I try to open a PDF inside a browser window (for example this one: http://helpx.adobe.com/dk/pdf/acrobat_reference.pdf) I am prompted to Open, Save or Save As. I want open the document directly without being prompted.
How can I achieve that?

I have now tried the following: Adobe Reader was completely uninstalled. I then downloaded and installed the Adobe Reader 11.0.00 package directly from the Adobe site and upgraded it to 11.0.06 afterwards.
In this default configuration it works - PDF files on web pages open directly in Internet Explorer (Windows 7, IE 10).
I then removed Reader and ran our deployed version (from SCCM). Then it failed to show PDF's in the browser, as before.
So a setting in our TRANSFORMS file could be an issue. Does anyone know if you can set this open/do-not-open in browser inside the MST file using Adobe Reader Configuration Utility? Our installation CMD file looks like this:

Need RTF PDF API solution and not Online Solution

Won't let me create a pdf - keeps flushing and not creating

How can i get program to create a PDF? Acrobat keeps saying:

The messages are fairly clear. Your content, now in PostScript form, is requesting a font, Cambria, a standard font delivered with all versions of Windows beginning with Windows Vista (but not with Windows XP). You have the joboptions you are using for Distiller set to cancel the creation of PDF if there are any missing fonts. Cambria is not being found by Distiller and therefore causes the job to abort. Alternatively, you can specify to either “warn” or ignore such missing fonts, in which case, the text formatted in Cambria would have appeared in the PDF file as Courier, something that I honestly don't think you really want.
You didn't indicate what application(s) you are using, but some applications simply ignore missing fonts in terms of display (typically substituting Arial or Times New Roman on the screen) but try to access the actual font for printing.
Your next step is to check your Fonts Control Panel and see whether Cambria is actually installed? If not, you need to somehow get the font installed either from a disk backup, your OS install disk, or if you moved it somewhere else on your system, reinstall it in the Fonts directory. Alternatively, you may reformat your content not to use Cambria.

How do I enable links to only open and not download all the time?

I find in the Firefox browser that when I click on a link to view, listen, or watch the file automatically gets downloaded to my computer. I have gone into the preferences to disable this to view instead of save and this still continues. In other browsers I am able to simply view or listen such as in Safari. How can I disable this from automatically downloading?

The redirection blocking feature is really intended to help users that need to use screenreaders and such; rather than being any sort of effective security measure; but some users set that unnecessarily.

Particularly:
Permanently change the document’s app
Select the document and choose File > Get Info.
In the Info window, click the triangle next to “Open with” to expand the section.
Choose an app from the pop-up menu, or choose Other to locate a different app.
If you want to use that app to open all documents of the same type as the current document and created by the same app, click Change All.

InDesign PDF prints greyed and not crisp

InDesign file print solid and crisp but when converted to PDF it is greyed and faded. Created PDF with "Press QUlaity PDF preset" and also tried it through Distiller. Color settings are "North American Prepress 2" in Indesign and U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 in Acrobat - how do I resolve this?
