Pdf aus Acrobat Pro zu Excel

Hallo!
Die neue Acrobat Version wird unter anderem damit beworben, dass es unter Beibehaltung der Layoutstile möglich sei, ein Pdf in eine Excel-Datei zu konvertieren.
Ich habe mir diese Funktion für einen Kunden zu Nutze machen wollen: Tabellen wurden in InDesign erstellt, diese als pfd-Datei ausgegeben und die pdf-Datei als eine Microsoft-Excel-Arbeitsmappe abgespeichert.
Das Ergebnis ist auch mit viel Wohlwollen leider völlig unbrauchbar und kann ohne weitere Bearbeitung nicht vom Kunden verwendet werden: von "Beibehaltung der Layoutstile" kann absolut keine Rede sein.
Kann es sein, dass diese neue Funktion von Windows optimaler unterstüzt wird, als von Mac OS X?

Na das hat wohl mit der Platform nix zu tun, eher ein Fall von "wo nix ist, kommt nix hin". Hab's zwar nie selber probiert, aber ich denke mal eher, dass das Feature so gemeint ist, das von Excel nach PDF konvertierte Tabellen mit erträglichem Aufwand zurückkonvertiert werden können, weil in der PDF dann die Datenobjekte entsprechend strukturiert angeordnet sind und möglicherweise sogar zusätzliche Daten vorhanden sind. Fällt natürlich bei InDesign-Tabellen alles unter'n Tisch. Oder anders ausgedrückt: Wo keine logische Struktur, da keine Tabelle und da sich ein Layoutprogramm nun mal primär auf's Hübschaussehen konzentriert, egal welche komischen Verschachtelungen von Elementen dazu notwendig sind, sollte man hier keine Wunder erwarten....

I just tried adding the files as attachments; however I didn't like doing that because it increased the file size of my PDF document quite a bit.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with the "Insert Object" command in MS Word, but I want to do the same thing in my PDF document...but the key is, anyone must to be able to open the embedded file from any location.
I created an MS Word document with several embedded objects. I was later asked to PDF the Word document, but since embedded MS Word objects do not migrate to the PDF, I am now trying to embed the same files I embedded into my Word document into my PDF document over top of the icon image. The file types I'm trying to embed include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF. Does this make more sense? I want to create a hyperlink over top the icon image that was PDF'd from the MS Word document which allows any user to click on the link and open the separate file.

The steps I’m following are described below:
1. Insert electronic signatures
- In Tasks, click on “Add New Field -> Digital Signature”.
- Move the square to the place where you want to put the signature and click.
- Fill in the “field name” with the name of the person who has to sign here.
- When it is done, click anywhere on the screen.
- In Tasks, click on “Close Form editing”.
- Go to menu “File -> Save as -> Reader Extended PDF ->Enable additional features”, click on “Save now”.
- Fill in the file name and click on “Save”.
2. Save the Form
- In Tasks, click on “Close Form editing”.
- Go to menu “File -> Save as -> Reader Extended PDF ->Enable additional features”, click on “Save now”.
- Fill in the file name and click on “Save”.
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.0.0 on a W7 workstation

Problem printing PDF with Acrobat Pro 9.4.4

Hi!
I can't correctly print a PDF with Acrobat Pro that was created in Indesign CS5.
I want to print it on a letter format (8,5 X 11") and it offers me a format of 8,49 X 10,99". It results in having my document being printed as tile with it's original format 12 X 21,5" as if I didn't adjust the format to be reduced.
I temporary used Preview to print my PDF, but now I can't as the encoding in which I received the PDF used to be "Creo Normalizer JTP" and now it is "Adobe PDF Library 9.9"
If anyone can help!

I just updated my software, thanks for that!
Now, my problem is still on... I still have the very same result when I print. I did selected the correct Page Scalling I needed. I did selected the paper size I wanted. I chose Shrink to Printable Area and I tried with Fit to Printable Area.
Since I've had this problem the size appears as : 8,49 X 10,99 (Instead of 8,5 X 11). I tried with Legal (8,5 X 14) but it appears as 8,49 X 13,99. I went through the preferences, but I can't find anything that could be the problem.
Any other idea?

Also, Preview was very helpful, as it did print my PDF correctly! I understand it's not the best... but it did the job

Is it possible to edit a pdf with Acrobat Pro XI that was created in LiveCycle?

I downloaded a trial version of LiveCycle awhile back. I created several forms. The trial period ended and I would like to change something. When I try to edit the pdf in Acrobat Pro it tells me that I must use LiveCycle to edit it. Is there a workaround for this? Thank you in advance for any replies.

No, all LCD forms can only be edited in LCD.
And the second trial is probably not going to work, unless you install it
on a different computer.
The best way to salvage your form, in my experience, is to print it to the
Adobe PDF printer, creating a new flat PDF file and then running the Form
Detection Wizard in Acrobat on it and continuing from there. It probably
won't do a perfect job, but it should recognize some of the fields.

How to embed a mp4 video into a pdf with acrobat pro XI?

I'm trying to embed a mp4 video into a pdf using Acrobat Pro XI. When I try to play the video, all I see is a black box. The video is H.264 codec. I've tried on a PC and Mac and get the same results.

Video playback in the Acrobat Family uses Flash Player, so if it works in FP (loaded via an HTML page) then it should work in your PDF. First suggestion is to use the free MediaInfo tool to check exactly what the internal structure reports as.

Can not create hi res pdf in Acrobat Pro v9 - distiller

I am having problems creating a high res PDF in Acrobat Pro 9.0, it looks like distiller will not remember or accept that I am selecting hi res definitions before I print from Quark v6.0.

Thanks for your effort but this again clearly does NOT answer my question. I do see a particular problem and that is that I might want to select text and images over a range of multiple pages. In a doc of 20 pages I might want to make a single selection of the text starting PRECISELY at the MIDDLE of page 2 and then continue dragging my selection all the way to PRECISELY the MIDDLE of page 15, thereby selecting all text and images within the precise range of my selection. That is some 13 pages there and I want to print out ONLY THAT selection of text and images. And in that case I cannot use your suggestion with the marquee zoom. Do you get me?

How to save an edited PDF in Acrobat Pro without any compression

I just edited an existing PDF in Acrobat Pro 9 - actually I inserted some high resolution images in TIFF via the Touchup tool.
What do I have to do to save it without any compression of the TIFFs - I tried a lot, but the outcome is always compressed, showing artifacts.

First, editing PDFs is really only for minor fixups. There is generally no word wrap or such when doing such editing and often then seem to go downhill fast. To edit text, you have to have the font available. If the file was scanned and the OCR applied was searchable text, the only option to edit what is displayed is with a graphics editor, typically PhotoShop. PhotoShop allows Acrobat to have edited graphics and then be reinserted in the file (I don't do it, so can't give details). ClearScan replaces what is seen on screen in the graphic with the text. In that case, you see all of the text and the corresponding errors (often many). You may want to load a graphic (bitmap) with text showing or use a scan and try the various versions of OCR to see what I am talking about. That may help you see the options. Searchable PDFs is more useful if an original is critical, such as in the legal profession.

I have an adobe forms central account, adobe acrobat pro installed on my mac. And I want to create an adobe forms central PDF form that I can edit in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and also create an electronic signature. How should I go about this?

If you created it in Forms Central, you have to edit it there. I believe Forms Central is similar to LiveCycle Designer in that the form created is no longer able to be edited in Acrobat. I might be wrong, but that is my understanding. You add the submit button in Forms Central. Within Acrobat, you should be able to go to the forms menu and Manage Data to save the data to an Excel file. Others better with forms should be by to clarify things, but this should get you started. In the future you might find it better to post a forms question in the forms discussions.

Kann aus .docx-Dateien keine PDFs aus Acrobat heraus erstellen

mich beschäftigt leider seit mehreren Tagen ein Problem, dass auch der Chat-Support von Adobe nicht lösen konnte und zwar:
Ich kann mit der Funktion "PDF erstellen" aus Acrobat heraus keine Word 2013-Dateien in PDFs umwandeln. Mit dem PDF Maker direkt aus Word heraus funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Andere Dateitypen (Excel, Bilder, Webseiten) kann ich problemlos zu PDFs wandeln.
Darüberhinaus bekomme ich noch folgende Fehlermeldung (Screenshot):
Der dort angegebenen Lösungsweg funktioniert nicht - wenn ich die Anwendung öffne, schaut die mich nur scheinheilig an und weiß nichts von Sicherheitswarnungen (wo stelle ich die Sicherheitsstufe ein?).
Folgende Dinge habe ich geprüft:
PDF Maker Add-in in Word 2013 aktiv --> Ja
Makro-Einstellung im Trustcenter --> "alle Makros außer digital signierten Makros deaktivieren" ist ausgewählt / Adobe ist nicht in Liste "Vertrauenwürdige Hersteller" aufgeführt (hier hatte ich aber auch schon mit der Einstellung "alle Makros aktivieren" keinen Erfolg
Ich kann leider so Acrobat nicht ordentlich nutzen: Weder PDFs aus Word erstellen, noch Dateien in PDF zusammenführen, noch Portfolien erstellen, noch Formulare aus Word erstellen etc.
Weiß jemand Rat?

Oh doch, Office 2003 ist kompatibel mit Acrobat 11! (Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications). Nur der Support wurde inzwischen eingestellt.
Sonderbar ist eben, dass ich aus xls.-Dateien eine pdf.-Datei anlegen kann. Auch kann ich in Outlook einzelne "Aufgaben" anklicken (Word öffnet sich danach), resp. kann ich von hier aus problemlos eine pdf.-Datei erstellen.
Toll, nicht? :-)

Editing a Form Central PDF in Acrobat Pro

I've created a multi-page form with F Central and need it to be editable in Acrobat Pro. "Save a Copy" in Acrobat Pro does not remove the security and thusly the form cannot be edited. Was I misled by Acrobat marketing and now I am stuck with a form that I can ONLY edit using Forms Central?   Can anyone help?

I don't know if I was very clear. I want the users to fill out a form and click a button when they are done.   Then I want the result of clicking the button to be for the form to print to Adobe PDF first followed by emailing to me. Right now the way I set the button up (below), I receive the actual form via email.
"Actions" tab,
"Mouse up,
    Execute a menu item
        File>Save as>PDF...
    Submit a form"
I want a non editable printed/ refried version AKA "print to Adobe PDF" on the menu items sent to me instead of the actual form. I have searched all over but can't find if this is possible.

I created a Print Button on a PDF document using Adobe Acrobat Pro on my Mac. The Print button works perfectly on different browsers on my Mac and on Windows (running under Parallels Desktop) as well.
When I open the document on my iPad the Print button doesn't even appear. I am guessing that this is a Flash issue but it may be more related to the fact the the action for the button is to access the Print menu item, which doesn't exist under iOS.
Is there any way to create a Print button using Acrobat Pro that will work on a Mac and Windows but also on iOS?

In order to initiate printing by clicking a button, the button has to have either an "execute menu item" type action or use the "print" JavaScript method. As you guessed, the former won't work since there are no menu items to execute, and the latter can only work if the particular PDF viewer you're using supports it. I'm not aware of any that do on iOS.
The button doesn't appear because you're probably opening it in the default PDF viewer, which doesn't support forms at all. If you were to open the form in Adobe Reader, you'd see the button but it wouldn't work.
