PDF BackGround color..

Dear All,
My requirement is to remove the background color from a PDF if it is set, as per the suggestion which I got from lrosenth(referrence: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/730875?tstart=0) I was successful in Identifying the object which sets the background color but that object was a path object, as i came accross path object also represent various other things, now how can I refine the search and find the exact element object in the content stream which represents the Background color object.
These are the Values which I retrieved for the path:

  • When converting word doc to pdf, my images with text only show the background color of the text box.

I have a word doc that I am trying to conver to pdf.  I have jpegs with text boxes on top of them on one page.  It looks great on the screen but after I convert to pdf, the text boxes only have half the text, the first half of the text box is just white - the background color.  If I take the background color out of the text box, the text converts over fine but I need the background color.
I have tried many things here on the print settings, standard, high quality print, unchecking the compression on the images.  Any help?

  • How to preserve a background color, when generating a PDF file

I am trying to create a PDF file from some application. Please note that the picture in this application has the black background. So I invoke a Print command and set a printer as "Adobe PDF". As a result, I have generated
a brilliant PDF file of my picture, but on the WHITE background. When selecting the Adobe PDF printer, I have looked through all its settings ( in the Adobe PDF settings, I have found several tabs: General, Images, Fonts, Color, Advanced, PDF/X), none of them generated the original background color.
So how can a generate a PDF file, having the original background color (black, in my case) ?
    Oleg

Now I feel that the background definition in the Adobe PDF printer and the background definition in the application the Adobe PDF printer is invoked from -- two different things. So I guess how can I define the black background in the Adobe PDF printer? I cannot find such settings.

  • Need to change the background color of a textview in offline PDF

    Hi,
We are using the PDFDocument API in order to generate a PDF file which is eventually stored in a network folder. We were initially using the Webdynpro Interactive Form UI element, but digressed from that approach because of some architecture considerations.
I am able to do everything with the PDFDocument API, expect two things which are proving to be much tougher than I thought:
    1) I have a textview in my .XDP template. The background color of this textview must change depending on the value that I display inside it. For example, if the value is between 1 and 20, the background color must be green, if the value is between 21 and 40, it must be yellow and so on...
I still have not found the method to specify the background color of a textview using the .XML data file.
    2) Depending on a certain condition, I need to display 5 images in a table row instead of the usual 6. I have been able to do that by simply not providing the 6th image url, but I also need to resize the 5 such that they occupy the space that was initially used by 6 images.
Any ideas of how I can go about these requirements?
    Thanks & regards,
    Navneet Nair.

    1) I added an invisible textfield inside my .XDP file and populated it with the color value that I want my main text field to display.  (This color needs to be specified in the R,G,B format... for example... 128,0,0
    2) Now in the 'Initialize' javascript event of my main text field, I included the following script:
    this.resolveNode("<SubFormName>.<MainTextFieldName>").fillColor = this.resolveNode("<SubFormName>.<InvisibleTextFieldName>").rawValue;
    Hope it helps!

You are missing one or more photos - youprobably have a page background that requires a photo which is behind a page with photos on it - all pages must either have a photo or be a color - if you have a gray background it requires a photo - look through the book carefully and be sure to look at the background on any full page photos - you will find one or more missing photos

  • Indesign problem : background color don't appears in the pdf...

    Hello,
When I export the document to PDF, the background color doesn't appears in the pdf.
I'm a new Indesign user. Ihave searched every where, but i have not found  tutorial about this problem...
    EM2C

How did you implement this "background color"?
If, as I suspect, you changed the [Paper] swatch, then you aren't seeing a malfunction. That swatch is non-printing, and will not show up anywhere but in the InDesign editing environment. To add a color in the background, you must actually fill an object with the color and position it behind the rest of the elements in your layout.

  • Table cell background  color in PDF

I have a requirement to generate a PDF from a stoplight report.
The stoplight report colors were implemented by setting the background color in table cells
via css (background-color: red;). Its working in the browser but when I generate a pdf the cells show up with grey backgrounds. How can I generate a pdf with the correct colors?
    Thanks for your help.
I'm using Apex 3.1 and pdf generation functionality that comes with Apex. I don't have BI Publisher.

    Hi David.
At this time you don't get WYSIWYG reports in PDF.
You're limited to the Column Colour settings you can specify in the Print Attributes of the report region but these would apply to all columns in the report and would not be dynamic.
This may be something that is addressed in a future version of APEX.
If anyone else knows different, feel free to chip in.
    Regards
    Simon

  • Convert  background colors to PDF from Word 03

When I convert a Word document to Acrobat PDF the background color disappears.  What do I do?

It may depend on how you are converting. If you are printing, be sure that WORD is set to print the background colors. Printing background colors is often turned off to prevent using up the toner in a regular printer.

  • PDF Background Transparency and Color

I have several PDF pages that are vector black line-drawings that have been placed into a document as a gallery, which works great.
However, when you click on the PDF to view it in isolation, the background turns black and the drawing is hardly visable.
I am able to convert the PDF's to a raster format, but would like to know if there is a way to change the background color when viewing an image in isolation.
    Thank you in advance,

I just realized that converting the PDF's to a raster format is not a preferable option, as the sepia background of the picture frame fill is preferred.
Can the background of the image isolation mode be changed (to match the sepia background of the picture frame fill)?

  • Why does converting word into PDF does not take the background color of the page?

When I do a page background on a document, and save as pdf, it does not take the background color. It shows only white background.

This may be a limitation with the built in PDF writer in OS X. Never tried it so I have no idea if it does the same on my Mac.
As this is not a MS Word problem you are in the right set of forums.
Have you tried another PDF writer other then the built in one?

  • Problem with cfdocument and background colors with table borders

i am having a great deal of difficulty with cfdocument
rendering my tables with cells that have background colors. the
background colors seem to bleed through the table border. a picture
at 100% magnification can be seen at
    http://www.vitad.com/cfdoc.jpg
    and at 1600% magnification at:

i am attaching sample code of the what generated the pdf in the
pictures. btw, i am running cfmx 7 with hot fix 2.

    Hi fresher4flex,
Since you are using the item Renderer for the DataGrid Column try to apply the styles dynamically to the background of your itemRenderer by making using of the rollOver and rollOut events.
    Thanks,
