PDF conversion failed
Hi everyone. I use a rMBP with OS X 10.9.4 and keynote 6.2 installed. I found that the subscript and the text followed in a table in the slide can not be properly converted into PDF. The trouble can be reproduced in following steps.
1. Insert a table in a blank slide.
2. Put some text in the table.
3. Change some characters into the subscript.
4. Convert the keynote into PDF file.
Now, you will find that the subscript and all the text following that subscript in the same line will disappear in the converted PDF. In fact, those text are also missed after print from the keynote. Can anyone give me some advices. Thanks.

Doc to PDF conversion failed for Acrobat 9 on IIS7/win 2008 system
I wanted to convert a doc to PDF. But getting error when PDF distiller initialized.
Error : 006~ASP 0177~Server.CreateObject Failed~80080005
at statement : Set Obj = server.CreateObject("PdfDistiller.PdfDistiller.1")
This is done is classic ASP.
This works perfectly fine on IIS6/win 2003 with Acrobat 5 . but getting error on production server where IIS7/win 2008,Acrobat 9 is installed.
I have added all the necessary permissions.
What could be the problem?
Any help would be appriciated.But the same thing is working fine for Acrobat distiller 5 on IIS 6 and Win 2003.
With Acrobat 5,printer installed is called Acrobat Distiller and with Acrobat 9, printer installed is called Adobe PDF. This should not affect the distiller functionality/execution I think.
Manual Doc to PDF conversion works, means if document is passed to Adobe PDf it converts the doc to PDF.
Somehow automation is not working failing at statement
Set oDistiller = CreateObject("PDFDistiller.PDFDistiller.1")
Could there be case that Acrobat 9 doesn't support automation or need license or so? -
Add User for Native PDF Conversion fails on Windows 2008 for WebSphere
I'm installing LiveCycle ES3 Generator on Windows 2008 R2 server with WebSphere 8. When I try to add users for the Native PDF conversion as part of the generator configuration I get an error. I've included the installer log error and some of the related WebSphere logs below. Anyone have any sugestions?

Acrobat Pro XI V11.0.2 - Word 2010 to PDF conversion fails to generate header text
Hello,
Following the recent update to V11.0.2, the Acrobat PDF converter for Word 2010 fails to generate the output document correctly. It misses out the text box part of the Word header.
However, using Acrobat XI via the "Print to PDF printer" appears to generate the output file correctly.
System is Windows XP-SP3 with Office 2010 (and all current updates), plus Acrobat Pro V11.0.2
Example Word source and resulting PDF are available, if anyone can figure out how to use this web interface to post examples.

No, there is no change in behaviour on my Windows XP machines, nor would I expect there to be given that there has been no change until V11.0.3 was released.
Given that you’ve reproduced the problem, albeit on a different machine, it seems reasonable to assume that the problem is related to Acrobat. If you can reproduce the behaviour, then you should be able to fix it.
The problem still exists with V11.0.3. I look forward to it being resolved shortly.

Excel to PDF conversion fails to preserve freeze-frame heading functionality
Using Excel ver 13.3.4 on MAC OS 10.6.8 and Acrobat Pro 10.1.3.
I want to convert a 2-page Excel spreadsheet to a PDF.
The spreadsheet has a repeating header row, which has "Freeze-Frame" applied so that you can see the header when you scroll to the next screenload. But when I open the PDF, the Freeze-Frame doesn't work. I can't find any posts about this problem. Can anyone help me out?Dear Pallavi,

Adobe Acrobat Standard and Pdf Conversion
I am not sure I am in the correct forum, but I recently purchased Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard and I cannot convert existing Word files, for example, to pdf. A message comes up: "PDF Conversion Failed." And that's it. No explanatory message or suggestion how to correct it.

1. Print a simple file to the Adobe PDF printer with print-to-file selected.
2. Open the file created in (1) in Distiller and see if the conversion completes.
If (2) is unsuccessful, you will get errors in the Distiller window indicating the problem. With success, the next step is to check if AcroTray is running, so simply print without using print-to-file. If it does not work, then look for AcroTray.exe in your Distiller folder. This application must be working if the print to Adobe PDF is to work correctly. -
I recently subscribed to Adobe ExportPDF and tried to convert a PDF file to MS Word. So far, after many tries, I get soe type of error and the conversion fails. Please advise?

It sounds like there may be an issue with the quality of the PDF. Not all PDFs are created equal, and especially those created from scanned documents can be problematic if the scan quality isn't the best. Is there a dark background on the PDF, or stray marks or smudges?
You can try converting with OCR disabled at outlined in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (O... | Adobe Community. But, while that's a good test to find out where the problem lies, you'll end up with a Word document that isn't editable, so it's not an optimal solution.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble converting files. Are you converting via the web interface, or through Adobe Reader? Do you have a large number of files in the root folder of your Files list on Acrobat.com?
Let's try these things for starters:
Clear the browser cache and try again.
Use a different browser.
Make sure that Reader is up-to-date by choosing Help > Check for Updates.
If you have a large number of files stored on Acrobat.com, move some of them into a subfolder.
Please let us know how it goes.

I am trying to export the PDF file and conversion fails every time.
I am trying to export the PDF file and conversion fails every time. File is too large of too complex. What do I do? One file is about 55 mb and the other is 58 mb.
Try extracting part of the file and see if the extracted part can be Exported. If so, repeat with the next set of pages. When done, try to load all into the first file.

PDF's to Blackberry display "Document Conversion Failed"
We are on XI 3.1 - Blackberry's are displaying "Document Conversion Failed" when trying to open PDF documents that were emailed from the Business Objects scheduler running Webi reports. These same PDF documents can be viewed on the desktop machines using Outlook. Does anyone know of any missing software or if configuration changes are needed on the Blackeberry?
Any response would be greatly appreciated.

3D PDF generation fails sometimes

one of our customers has a problem creating 3D PDFs from Unigraphics models using LiveCycle ES Server 8.2.1:
most of the time, everything works fine, but for some models (below 1%) a conversion error is raised. We start the
conversion process via the Java remote API of the Generate 3D PDF Service.
I have a sample to reproduce this behaviour on our local test installation, but as it is customer data I can't post
it here.
I can open the sample using Acrobat Pro Extended or 3D Reviewer without problems (on the machine where the
LiveCycle server is running), but when I try to invoke it remotely, I get the error (see log contents below). Setting
the log level to a higher value did not reveal anything that looked interesting. The only indication of an error I can
see is the "COM object method returns error code" part.
Does anybody know what the COM error code means, or how to get more detailed error info?
Any help appreciated

I have code attached below, running inside SharePoint (in a page), used to convert .docx document to .pdf using Word Automation Services.

What happens is that the conversion fails. errorCode is 10.
What I came to, is that this is related to the Domain Controller being installed on the same machine.
I have examinated and excluded all several other possible issues (memory resources, etc.).
What I had undestood as far, is that the problem is that "the
converter is executed in the context of a very unprivileged local account, and there are no local accounts on DCs"
Is this a KNOWN ISSUE?
Is there a workaround for development enviroment having DC+SQL+VisualStudio+SharePoint on the same machine?Hi,
It is recommended to try the code demo in this documentation below in a Console Application to see if it can work in your environment:

If it still can’t work, you can restart the Word Automation Services in SharePoint Central Administration in case it is a service issue.

Word to PDF Conversion = Different Color on Paper
Hello All,
I created a bunch of forms in Word 2010. Converted them into PDF and made them fillable. On screen Word doc and PDF doc colors look the same, but when I print PDF documents their blue turns intor dark purple. Any suggestions on how to keep colors consistent with the Word doc? I read about software and screen collibration, but I believe that there must be a simplier way to synchronize colors. Again, on screen colors looks the same.... Thank you very much.try these links:

I wan't generate a PDF near the word document in a document library.
Your second link is interesting, allow IntranetCall and permission on application service Word Automation but no change.
I have always :
"The file could not be converted due to an intermittent error in the system. Please resubmit this file for conversion. If the file fails again with this error message, contact your system administrator" error code 10.
