PDF Converted to JPEG Shows Up As Green Box in FCP...

I have a PDF file from a client that I converted into a jpeg to use in FCP. I can import and it shows up fine in the browser, but when I put it into the timeline it turns into a solid green box.
Why is this happening? I need it as a jpeg to have the solid white background, as the PDF has no background layer.

Sometimes those pdfs have an alpha channel as well.
Delete/change in PS.
To switch from CYMK to RGB in PS, open the file in PS:
Go to Image Menu, choose Mode drop down, and switch to RGB.
Save and then import to FCP

    hi WDWPhishFan,
Have you looked at [[The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed]] and [[Opening PDF files within Firefox]]?
The first article has a lot of good troubleshooting steps that might help. The second article actual lists a couple of plugins that can be used for opening PDF files. I'd give both of them a try just in case.
    Hopefully this helps!

    Hi,
This forum is to discuss problems of MS Office development in the Windows OS such as VBA, VSTO, Apps for Office .etc. But I think your question is related to the end-user feature of MS Office:Mac. So I suggest you posting your issue in Office for

    Hi olivias,
It sounds like there may be some confusion on your system about what application should be associated with PDF files. You can reset filename associations by following the steps in these articles (depending on your operating system):

  • How do I convert a jpeg file into a pdf file?

I would like to be able to convert a jpeg file, both in Photoshop and outside of Photoshop, into a pdf file.  How do I go about doing that?

If you don't have Acrobat, you'll need to do it in Photoshop. File>Save as>Photoshop PDF. If it is a cmyk file, you'll need to convert it to rgb first.

  • How do I convert a JPEG file to an Adobe Reader (PDF) file?

Please help me. I have scanned an image of a text in a book.  The scanned image is automatically uploaded into a JPEG file.  How do I convert this into a PDF file?

None of the free Adobe Reader products provide the capability of converting image files (e.g. jpeg, gif, png) to PDF.
    You can either use
Acrobat XI Pro or Standard - Scan to PDF
Adobe PDF Pack (formerly known as CreatePDF): online subscription service - JPEG to PDF Converter
You may find some free non-Adobe apps or online services.  But the quality of PDF output may vary.
Unless you use OCR (Optical Character Recognition), the scanned image of text will not be recognized as real text.  So you will not be able to highlight text, for example.
