PDF Display in Safari/iPad

I updated my iPad 4 with the new iOS7. I use Google as my browsing engine in Safari. Since the iOS7 update, I can no longer view PDFs in my internet browser. When I click any pdf link, the browser opens the pdf link in a new tab displaying a black screen. Help anyone?

I've been having a similar problem.
When using iOS 6 PDFs open in the Safari browser so you can view them quickly. You can then tap to reveal the 'Open in...' or 'Open in "XXX" if you want to do something with the document in another app.
I view a lot of PDFs and don't always want to 'Open in'. Is this an improvement?!

PNG images not displaying in Safari iPad

Hi all,
We have developed a webpage that loads PNG images in a div that can expand / reduce.
The issue i cant seem to solve is why the PNG images do not load on Safari iPad. They just display as blue question marks. However not an issue with PC browsers.

Thanks for this. Looks like I'm going to have to reduce the size of my image since I've noticed the same problem on an iPhone 3GS. My original is big but only 2 colour. I don't like ragged edges so best make it 16 shades of grey first so the edges on the smaller image are a bit softer (PaintShop Pro can cope with this). I am certainly not going to degrade it with JPEG zits!
This problem only appears with reduced images (eg. using the HTML style="width:50%;") - if I view source and click on the image link, the full sized image appears, but is far too big for the screen.
Symptomatic of a not-very-good operating system/browser since even M$ got that bit right! BTW - llawjm's website still has the problem he described on my iPhone, but looks fine on a Tesco Hudl (Android) and Firefox on a PC.

Opening pdfs displayed in Safari using Acrobat

I'm using Safari 5.1 with OS 10.6.8. I used to be able to ctrl-click on a pdf in Safari and elect to open in Acrobat, which then allowed me to save the file, or use functionality of Acrobat Pro. This feature seems to have been removed - any ideas how I get it back?

Click the plus sign which opens a favorites page. Then you can tap on any of your bookmarks to go to that page.
To add to the bookmarks, tap on the box with the arrow coming out of it and the icon to bookmark that page.

Why Acrobat Reader doesn't open pdf-files from Safari?

I'm new Mac user and cannot find answer why I cannot open pdf-files directly from Safari. My Macbook OS X 10.9.3 and Safari is 7.0.4. Only way to open pdf-files is to download the content first and then open it. If I try to open it directly Acrobat says "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the end user license agreement". I have downloaded Acrobat Reader several times already and cannot understand what I'm doing wrong.

I cannot open PDF files on my iMac - not sure why - I am using Safari 7 & have downloaded Mavericks - it says I have to launch Acrobat 8 and agree to terms (or some such thing) Please help. How do you make Reader 9 the default for opening pdf's? Help?

I can no longer open pdf files in safari 6.02.

SAFARI CAN'T OPEN PDF'S ?
I can no longer open pdf files in safari 6.02. It worked fine up until 2 weeks ago. The pdf's open in Foxfire and Chrome browsers.
I can also download the pdf and open in acrobat directly. Safari only shows the file as ASCII characters.
Any suggestions?

Whenever I attempt to open a PDF file using Adobe Reader in the latest Safari version 7.0.4... I can not open PDF's from Safari.

I have already uninstalled Adobe Reader and made Preview my default reader again. When i open a PDF, i get back a black screen. Previously, i would get a black screen with message saying i needed to accept the License and Agreements of Adobe Reader. Then i decided to throw out in the trash the Adobe Reader plug ins and that message does not show any more when i attempt to open the PDF but the black screen is still there.

How to disable Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader in Safari

How do I disable Adobe Acrobat Reader to prevent Safari from using it to open PDFs? I have Safari 7.0.5, OS X v10.9.4. FYI, there is nothing in my User> HD> Library> Internet Plugins folder. And I've already right clicked on a PDF in Finder and selected the option to always use Preview to open PDFs. But Safari still opens PDFs with Acrobat Reader. Thanks

Adobe PDF Document in Safari not working

Hello,
Recently put Abobe Creative Suite on my MacBook Pro - which is working fine. But when I go to view a PDF online with Safari it brings up this message:
Tried reinstalling Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat works fine generally opening PDFs so not sure what's wrong. Google Chrome on my MacBook Pro can view PDFs like normal.
