PDF downloads don't open, is this a FF issue?

When I download a PDF now, it saves to a file ok, but when I try to open it, a pop-up says that it isn't a PDF or a reconized file in Adobe. The file extension is .pdf. Thanks

configured on your computer. Please follow these steps to check your

4. Make sure that "Display PDF in Browser" is enabled.

.pdf files don't open after having download the creative cloud because of a previous trial version

Dear,
I used a trial version of acrobat pro for a month. After the trial I downloaded the creative cloud to enjoy all the programs.
The creative cloud is well installed on my computer but now every time I try to open a .pdf document it refers to the trial saying that it is over and that I should subscribe, but I did!
I am kind of desperate, I can't open .pdf files.
Can anyhow help?

I am not one to recommend reinstall, but that might be required. One of the problems with CC is that it leaves some info in the system that makes it think it is installed, even after you uninstall it. There is a fix for that, but I don't remember it (right now I am not remembering much with pneumonia). If you decide to uninstall, you should go through the uninstall process (there may be a special uninstall for CC that I have not seen). Then run Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs. Remove any leftover part of the Acrobat folder, reboot, and reinstall. It may reinstall or you might run into that other fix that is needed. In that case you will have to search the forum.

Dish Network, PDF Bill downloads don't open up.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Bills after Feb 2013 will not open up when downloaded. Earlier bills will. Dish insists this is a browser problem. I seriously doubt that is true. They say I need another browser. I think that is ludicrous. They act like I'm the lone ranger with this problem.
Is anyone else having this problem ?

Trying to open a pdf or a ppt attachments on latest Chrome after the Yosemite upgrade, nothing happens. Please share your experience or a suggessted fix or a work around. I am using a macbook white early 2009

PDF files don't open I have tried EVERYTHING to no avail please help

In the last couple of weeks I cannot open PDF files in Firefox. They open fine in Internet Explorer. I have been on the support forum now for over 2 hours and tried EVERYTHING suggested to no avail. It appears this is a common problem.

Older PDF's don't open in Acrobat X

I have recently installed Acrobat X on my Windows 7 laptop. A large majority of my older PDF's which were downloaded from the NFPA website will not open. No error message. Acrobat opens, but no file appears. Other PDF's, of all different ages, open. Any ideas? Thanks.

I would recommend updates for AA X (help>updates). Have you tried to open the PDFs from the file menu of Acrobat? Were you able to open them before -- with what software?

Pdf's don't open on IE6

Hello all
Our site includes loads of PDF's links and it doesn't work on IE6
only.
When I am trying to open it in the browser it says: Error occured, but
if I am saving it on my pc, it is working fine.
The problem is not occured on IE7 or FF.
More details:
* We recently moved from Windows servers to Linux servers.
* All other files such as docs are working fine.
* The problem occures only if we are using our domain or external IP.
If we are using internal IP, there is no problem.
Any ideas?

No problem double clicking a saved local pdf file to open it, but if it is an email attachment or a link in a web page, "The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action..." is the result.
Microsoft Answers provided a registry change to solve the same issue with Powerpoint Viewer.
Locate the following registry key.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PowerPointViewer.SlideShow.12\shell\Show
Please rename "Show" to "Open".
Repeat the same step on the following registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PowerPointViewer.Show.12\shell\Show
What registry key would I change to fix this for Adobe Reader?

All downloads through Firefox are not opening correctly. Bookmarks open up a page with links flush left down the page that do not work. All file downloads do not open correctly with the same issue as bookmarks. Want to avoid losing all my bookmarks so don

Something happened in the last day with FF. IE downloads files correctly. FF Delicious bookmarks open up a page with blue links that look like an outline but they are not my links. My downloads do the same. No virus.

That can be caused by having some bookmarks with a long title in the main Bookmarks menu.
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name.
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.

PDF download won't Open

Using Vista and IE with Adobe 8.2 just upgraded. When downloading a credit card statement from two different sources, I get an error message that "Adobe 8.2 is not working and windows is investigating a solution" never gives me a solution and shutdowns Adobe? Any ideas?

How much free space on the startup disk?
Right or control click your MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop then click: Get Info
In the Get Info panel see: Capacity & Available.
Make sure there's a minimum of 15% disk space.

Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit, relaunch Safari.

Can't download Ccleaner/Piriform. Is this a Firefox issue or Yahoo?

I don't think this is Firefox, I have IE and it still won't work. I go onto my Homepage and type in "Ccleaner/Piriform" A list of them come up. I pick the 'official' page for them, but when I try to download it, or whatever you call it (clicking on it?) All I get is a blank page with the 'little wheel' spinning, but it never downoads. Tried several others and ended up getting a hacker "Trivio" (Big mess) cleared that, but can't get Ccleaner at all. When I click the "Home" it flashes on for a second then disappears and Home comes up.
I need something to clear my History. Thank you.

You can clear the history in Firefox via "History > Clear Recent History" or in the Library (Show All History).
You can delete the places.sqlite files if there are problems.
You can check for problems with the <b>places.sqlite</b> database file in the Firefox profile folder.

The PDF's which I download through Firefox show to be corrupted & don't open

Lately the PDF's I download though Mozilla are shown as corrupted. But when the same PDF's I download using other web browsers no such problem arises.
I have tried uninstalling the firefox software & re installing it by downloading a fresh exe file. But the problem still persists.

The Problem is the PDF's don't download properly. They niether open with mozilla or with any othe PDF viewing software.

I have not purchased any service from Adobe or Acrobat as I only need to read. Thanks for your help..
