PDF export to word problems

I paid for the 12 month free deal to export my files and it is not working I would like to work or get my money back.

Hi bmck11,
I would love to help figure out what's happening. I've checked your account, and it looks as though you tried to sign up for ExportPDF back on November 11, but the order didn't process. Is that the subscription that you're referring to? (Adobe doesn't offer a 12-month free subscription.)
If your credit card statement shows that you've paid for ExportPDF, I would like to suggest that you Contact Customer Care so they can help figure out why your order didn't go through.
Best,
Sara

signed up twice for adobe pdf export to word and still not working - anyone else have this problem?

    In XI.
I can’t just export to word as I have done in the past in one simple click.
Convert to button is greyed out.
Now I have to save the pdf file on c drive when I am in outlook…then goto export pdf file…then find file then export to word.
I bought new computer with windows 8 (which is awful) and then bought pdf export again…
Any thoughts on how I can get back to one simple click again when I open a pdf file from an email in outlook?
    Thank you,
    Mike

  • Dynamic PDF - export into Word Doc

Well... signed up to IX-PRO for a year.,
    1. Now I cannot open in PRO the Dynamic PDF...?
        in READER it opens well
    2. Conform website suggestion I signed up & installed LC Designer
(advised to upgrade for Exporting my dynamic pdf test doc. to Word)
    3. I also installed  as well as accessed through FORM central
End result: "FormsCentral does not support importing dynamic PDF forms created by LiveCycle Designer".
+ PRO does still not open my dynamic PDF - so only my READER opens the doc / the content.- (as did the free version...)
    Question
    a. How to open a dynamic PDF in PRO (so a PDF doc. that is used as template and includes Macro's )
    b. How to convert / export such dynamic PDF's - into WORD ?
    Thnx in advance

    Hi George
    Thnx  for your prompt input.
    FYI:
As we edit / review project doc's with multiple (ca. 4 to 10) authors - I want to learn how to export:
fixed text, text box content, and graphics - from received dynamic pdf  forms>  into MS Word, o boost elaborations efficiency
I took a Adobe Pro version - imagining that finally I could avoid the cutting and pasting..., a practice already possible with the free Reader version. :-)
    FEEDBACK
I tried your suggestion to save the doc as a regular PDF, however once again the same outcome:
the DOC content is not reproduced = one page with the text as in image above..
Opening the doc. in LC explains most likely:
    1. Aobe LiveCycle Designer - Pop's up: [Cannot find "....\ Schema\schema.xsd*. Check that the path is correct ] {??"why""??}
    OK
    2. Aobe LiveCycle Designer - Pop's up: [Some usage rights have been applied to the form you want to open
Opening the form will remove the usage rights.. Do you want to continue]
    YES
    3. >> Doc Opens - Design View - but same outcome the DOC content is not reproduced
= one page with the text as in image above....
    --- >
= We would be happy if somebody (preferably staff from Adobe) could check the doc.
I will create (asap..) a test doc. and e-mail them the link.
Any suggestion where to address to ?
    Best regards

  • PDF Export And Printing Problem

I am using VB 2005 and the Crystal Reports that is bundled with it. I have reports on my website in the Crystal Report Viewer. I have the tool bar showing the Export and Print buttons. When you try to print (or export to PDF) you get an error from Adobe Reader "Adobe Reader could not open 'AcrXXX.tmp' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."
I can see the file in my temp folder on my c-drive and the file (AcrXXX.tmp) does not contain a pdf instead it contains html for the report (including the report viewer). I tried deleting everything in my temp folder and I still get the error. My desktop is Adobe Reader 8.0 and IE 6 and Windows XP.
The same code will create the PDF on all development and test web servers just not on my production server.
I have no problem exporting a report to Word.

    Hello Wendy,
if you are not too sure whether this errro is CR or VS related pls simply try to use one of our samples and see if you can export from htere or if you get the same error:

  • PDF export to word not working, conversion shows text as code.

I am working with Adobe acrobat pro, and cannot seem to export my PDf file without the text resulting in incomprehensible code. The images in the PDf convert beautifully, however.
I have followed the directions listed on the website, and have enable ORC, but it has not helped.
    PDF file info:
PDF Producer: Mac OSX 10/9.5 Quartz PDFContext
    PDF Version: 1.4 (Acrobat 5.x)
    File size: 1.29 MB
    Tagged PDF: No
    Fast Web View: No
    Security: None
xmpCore properties: xmp:Creator Tool: Microsoft word
    Illustrator: StartupProfile: Print

Could you post the PDF or a page of it so that we can try it. I actually still have AA5 on one machine, though everything else is more current. If you can also post your DOC result it would help too. You can post on Acrobat.com or dropbox and leave the link here.

  • PDFs exported from word printing lighter than the original

Using Acrobat Pro XI v11.0.09 / Microsoft word 2013
    Hi,
I have a word document containing text in turquoise (RGB 2,216,240) and dark grey (RGB 127,127,127) and an imported jpeg
I have created a PDF from this file (Which looks correct on screen) but when I send it to print it is much paler than the original printed directly from Word. I have tried on 2 different printers (same result), new cartridges, printing 'Best' quality not draft.
NB. The imported jpeg prints correctly, it is only the text and blocks of colour created in Word that are printing pale - i.e. supports that it's not draft quality.
Interestingly, if I change the colour profile from CMYK TO RGB in my print settings it prints correctly, but this option is only available in the printer driver for one of my printers. This would imply though that the problem is with the PDF and not when I create the PDF from Word.
(I have tried 'Save As' and 'Save As Adobe PDF' and also printing to PDF with the same results).
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a document we need to send to clients.
    Thanks

    Hi Corrie1000,
In Word file, click on the 'Acrobat' toolbar:
Click on Preferences> Advanced Settings > Color
Under Color Management Policies> Select 'Leave Color Unchanged'. Click on Ok and then click on Create pdf and see if this works for you.
You can refer to the doc for definitions for the individual Color Managemenet policies and set accordingly: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-conversion-settings.html
You might also want to refer the Doc: Acrobat Help | Color conversion and ink management (AcrobatPro)  for editing/ converting individual object colors in the pdf.

  • Microsoft Word problem with PDF Mac OS

Using Word from Office 2011 under Snow Leopard, if I use the normal 'Print>Save as PDF' the resulting PDF makes my Acrobat Pro 9 hang and I have to force quit it. Saving the files a .doc format makes no difference. I did not have this problem with Office 2004 and Snow Leopard.
If instead I open the resulting PDF in Preview and then run 'Print>Save as Adobe PDF' the file will work in Acrobat 9.
Excel does produce a working PDF via the  'Print>Save as PDF' route as does Mail.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts?

I, too unexpectedly ran into this problem yesterday while doing my [usually] routine client billing. I have an invoice template in MS Word (now version 2011), and I create PDF copies and email them to my clients.
I spent half the day yesterday trying to get to the bottom of this issue, and it was certainly comforting to see in the forum that at least a few other people are experiencing the same symptoms. I have now verified everything that others have reported in this thread:
    1. The problem occurs when saving a text document (MS Word 2011 or Apple Text Edit in Rich Text mode) to PDF using the PDF conversion tools in the Mac OS Print dialog (Save as PDF or Save as Adobe PDF).
    2. The problem only occurs when your document contains OpenType PostScript fonts (e.g Adobe's Myriad Pro, Minion Pro, etc.) The problem does not occur when you're document contains only Adobe PostScript Type 1 fonts, TrueType fonts, or OpenType True Type fonts from Microsoft (e.g. Calibri or Cambria)
    3. Apple's Preview application is impervious to this problem, but Adobe Acrobat 9 (Mac or PC) chokes on files generated this way.
    4. If you generate the PDF using the simple "Save as PDF" in the Mac OS Print dialog, the file will seemingly save ok, but Acrobat 9 will hang when it tries to open the file.
    5. If you generate the PDF using the "Save as Adobe PDF" option in the Mac OS Print dialog, the PDF exporter will hang, and the file will not get generated.
    6. If you generate the PDF by saving the PDF Preview from Word or by opening the "simply" generated PDF in Apple Preview and then re-save the PDF, Acrobat 9 will open the file but display alphabet soup wherever the OpenType PostScript font was used.
    7. For some reason, neither Excel and PowerPoint 2011 seem to exhibit this problem when using OpenType PostScript fonts and exporting to PDF from the Mac OS Print dialog.
Now, here's the clincher: This problem DOES NOT OCCUR if your Mac is running the previous version of Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.6).
I purchased a new MacBook Pro laptop a couple months ago, and about two weeks ago, Apple pushed out what they called the Mac OS X 10.6.7 update for "early 2011 MacBookPro computers." Naturally, I installed the updgrade back then, and this is the first time I've exercised the PDF export from Word since then.
I also have a MacPro tower, which is still running OS 10.6.6, and I can export PDF documents contaiing OpenType PostScript fonts with no problem in Acrobat from that machine.
Bottom Line: Apple's latest Snow Leopard upgrade to OS 10.6.7 is causing this problem, but getting it fixed is going to require cooperation between Apple, Adobe and Microsoft...
In the mean time, if you're using Apple's Time Machine and you want to revert your Mac OS to version 10.6.6, here's a link to an Apple Tech Note about how to do that: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/15216.html
I've contacted Tech Support at all three companies, and of course, each one thinks that it's the other comany's problem...but perhaps since this essentially an Adobe Acrobat issue, Adobe can take the lead in troubleshooting it.

  • Export to Word, letter l different size

I exported a pdf to Word and all the letter L s appear to be thicker but aren't shown as bold when selected. Bizarre! Pdf has unknown font which became Arial in Word.
Also, how do you get the 'properties' in a pdf file to display fonts in the file?
    Thanks, Sara

    Thanks for your prompt reply!
    I am using Acrobat X Standard (v 10.1.13) on a PC with Windows 7.
Not sure about saving the PDF. You mean do a Save As to create a second file?
As for the fonts issue, I’ve done what you pointed out and got a blank box. I did not create this PDF and don’t know if it was created by Adobe or something else! Maybe that’s the problem?
As for my initial problem, I think I found a ‘cure’. Select the funky font/word and click on Font(Ctr-D), go to Character spacing tab. The thick Ls were less than 100% scale and usually Condensed spacing! I went through the whole document, making tedious one-by-one changes. At least it was only the letter L that was affected, which I find truly weird!
After I wrote you, I tried a different PDF export to Word and it looked like a bad OCR and was worse than the first one. I spent most of the evening working on it. I’d be happy to have you look at it. Do you want both the PDF and the Word file? I did Save the PDF but the second exported file looks identical to first.
    Thanks,
    Sara

  • What can I do to speed up uploading a pdf file that needs to be exported into Word?

I have been trying to upload a 1 page pdf file for exportation into Word for the last couple of days. Every time I try to upload it into Adobe ExportPDF, the file just shows that it is still uploading and it does this for several hours (isn't finished after 12 hours).
I uploaded a much larger pdf document earlier this week (over 64 pages) for editing and it uploaded that book fairly quickly and converted it into Word without any problems.
Any suggestions on what the problem might be or what I could do to speed things up? I only need to be able to edit a couple of words near the top of the page.

How large is the file? The size in pages is not important, what matters is the size in megabytes and your broadband speed.

  • Three panel brochure pdf export problem

I've created a three panel brochure, using the Pages 2 template. I need to share this with Windows people (who will handle the actual printing), so I exported it to pdf format. It looks OK (and Apple automatically embeds the fonts, nice!). However, the printed version is slightly different, such that the folds don't work correctly (images and words cross the folds).
The pdf export prints perfectly from Preview, but not from Acrobat, which is what the Windows people have. Printing to pdf creates the same problem. Anybody know of a workaround to create the proper proportions for a pdf export? Thanks.
    G5/mirror G4/iBook/Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Stephen- Based on some other discussions I read, I did try printing to pdf-x. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem.
Barabara- As it turned out, Adobe Acrobat was not printing at 100% in either Windows or OS X. In the Windows print command window, page scaling was defaulted to "reduce to printer margins." This meant the document was printing at 96%. By changing page scaling to "none," the document printed to 100%, fixing the problem.
Likewise, in OS X, Adobe Acrobat's page scaling was also defaulted to "reduce to printer margins." This scaled the page to 93%, which caused the printing problem. By changing page scaling to "none" the document printed at 100%, fixing the problem. Thanks for the suggestion, which solved my problem.

  • I've just subscribed to Acrobat PDF Export in order to convert pdf files back to Word.  Where is the icon for my desktop.  I don't seem to have the program to do so?

Where on my PC do I access the PDF Export to convert pdf to Word?

    A very good morning John,
As far as I have understood, there is no problem with ExportPDF. You might need to check whether the fonts in your PDF are embedded or not.
For this, open the PDF in Reader/Acrobat and go into File>Properties and click on Fonts tab to check for the same.
If the fonts used in the PDF are not present in the system, then MS Word may not be able to retain the layout of the file.
    Please check.

Problems converting PDF to MS Word document.  I successfully converted 4 files and now subsequent files generate a "conversion failure" error when attempting to convert the file.  I have a large manuscript and I separated each chapter to assist with the conversion; like I said, first 4 parts no problem, then conversion failure.  I attempted to convert the entire document and same result.  I specifically purchased the export to Word feature.  Please assist.  I initially had to export the Word Perfect document into PDF and attempting to go from PDF to MS Word.

    Hi sdr2014,
I'm sorry to hear your conversion process has stalled. It sounds as though the problem isn't specific to one file, as you've been unable to convert anything since the first four chapters converted successfully.
    So, let's try this:
If you're converting via the ExportPDF website, please log out, clear the browser cache, and then log back in. If you're using Reader, please choose Help > Check for Updates to make sure that you have the most current version installed.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,

  • My 22 MB pdf file "Failed to export to Word."

I have tried several times to convert a 22 MB pdf file to Word, but I receive this error message every time: "File failed to export to Microsoft Word.  There was an unexpected problem."  No further explanation is available.  I know my ExportPDF is working, because I have tested several other smaller files.  I even tried using a different browser (Chrome and IE) and home and work computers.  I checked the permissions of the document and I have all that are available.  The pdf document seems to upload OK although it takes a few minutes because it's large, but then I receive the error message.  I got the original file from an internet site (legitimate).  Any ideas?

Try disabling OCR with these instructions: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3062 to see if that helps.
If it doesn't, please open the PDF in Adobe Reader and choose File > Properties.  Let us know what it says next to 'Application' and 'PDF Producer'
