Does anyone know if Oracle Reports will be able to produce PDF documents as XML,
as per PDF version 1.5 functionality?

No. Oracle Reports supports PDF 1.4. See Publishing Reports chapter on PDF:

I have made this procedure to convert the input clob to a decoded base 64 binary, i then obtain a pdf file but its' corrupted or damaged.

so, I try use itext. but.. I can't make what I want .
I searched pdfbox and jpedal.
but I can't get my solution.
Just I want to convert pdf to xml or html(html prefer).
I think pdfviewer is hint.
but I can't get full source(in jpedal)

I encounter the following error when I try to populate the pdf form with the values from an xml file.

I bind the form's fields with schema and not xml instance.
Then I add a button in the form itself and called this method for mouse click event.

I get the following error. What could it be? It is almost the same error as when I call the trustedFunction.

How to use VBA in Excel to convert a pdf file to XML?

I need to convert pdf to XML format so that it can be imported into Excel workbook and the information can be extracting out and mapped to existing excel cells. What is the easiest way to get it down without introduce any additional tools/software
other than Microsoft products? Client want to keep their process simple and it will be used for many agents in remote locations. They mentioned that they want to use VBA to do it. I could not find much useful information on this. Thanks a lot!

No Office programs can open a pdf and edit the contents so you will have to get a different app to convert teh pdf into xls format. There are plenty to be found on the web.

Need to view concurrent request output(pdf file of XML report)from OAFpage

Hi,
I am submitting a concurrent request from OA page (on click of submit button).
As of now, to view output of the request user has to open SRS form.
Now the rquirement is to submit the request as well as to open the output file of the request in one action(i.e. on click of submitbutton) instead of going to SRS form to view output.
From the forum, I found out the way to go to request monitoring page and view all the current requests. But this is something different from what I am looking for.
Can somebody help m in this case?

PDF file creation from spool

Hi
I amtrying to create a spool request for the PDF file.
Ihave Xstring type data in my program, which is input for PDF file.
by using RSPO_OPEN, RSPO_WRITE,RSPO_CLOSE function modules.. it is creating a spool with RAW data type.
but I have to create SPOOL with PDF format.
Can soemone help to generate PDF file from XML or RAW data format to PDF?

How to automate conversion of PDF forms to XML format

Hi
I have created a form using adobe livecycle designer 8. It has a email submit button that will send the form as a pdf file to a server.
Once the server recevive this pdf file, they will store the pdf file into a local drive. How do I convert the pdf files in the local drive into XML format without actually opening the pdf file in the Adobe Professional and clicking export data as XML?
Is there a way to write a code to convert these pdf files to XML format automatically?
Hope someone can help me with this issue

The request command is a form server command? Where do i type the Request.Form("page.form.field"). I dont really understand your statement on "Use request on the receiving page to get data" Could you help me by explaining more?

What should be done to send a PDF file by File adpater?

If you want to send PDF file ,You want to convert the content of the PDF file to XML ,conversion required??? or just you want to move from one location to other location using File Adapter??
If you want to move with IR objects you can do that,but if you want conversion you may need to write Adapter modules and attach to File Adapter.

I have one requirement to create .PDF file using some table content. Is it possible to create using OAF.
or
if i am creating the .PDF file using PL/SQL procedure and storing in some BLOB cloumn, is there any possible way to view this file using OAF.

OK..Generating PDF file with XML publisher is ok.
To view, i need to download it with Download control...and then view the PDf file.
But let say...i have to show employee salary slip in PDF file for every month (Whichever the month user select) in OAF. For this i need to have the PDF file stored in the BLOB column of the database or some where.

Is anyone aware of a similar tool or means of creating a PowerPoint file? Any open-source packages out there that I can use? Any standard sun classes I missed? Any code snippets available? Anything?

MS says that it will be using XML for everything from now on. (but we all know MS) So I suppose it should be possible to convert to PP from XML, however I think you will have a hard time finding a Java implementation from either Sun or MS (they don't like each other)
