PDF file or Stuck Sleep/Power Button

For the past 7-10 days my iPod touch flickers (some times continuously) betewen use mode/sleep mode and even pulling up the power off option. I am not sure if the sleep/power button censor inside is having issues (it appears OK on the outside) or if it is because I recently started syncing appointments that contain PDF files in notes field. The button itself appears fine and the device is well cared and was not dropped. Later today when I am able to remove the PDF files from those dozen appointments to see if that is the issue but I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone knows if we can sync appts with PDF files on the iPod touch. When I pull up the appt on the Touch it does not show that PDF file.
I'd also like to note that I did a restore last night....I did however use a backup to get all my info back onto the iPod. I am willing to do a complete restore and not use a backup to get my info back on there but I do not know how to backup my bookmarks and that is what is holding me back. If anyone can share on how to back those up so I can easily get them back that would also be appreciated. I have around 150 on the device.

I've had my phone for over a year and last week the sleep/power button stuck.  As a result I can't power off or lock the phone screen.  Is there an easy fix for this I can fix myself or do I need to get it repaired?

  • How to unjam sleep/power button? iPod touch 4th generation

A few days ago, I was using my ipod touch 4th generation. It working fine. A minute later, I went to use it again, & for some reason my sleep/power button was jammed. I have to use immense pressure to make it go to sleep. Is there a way I could get it unjammed without opening my iPod? I don't want to risk it breaking it any further. I would take it to the Apple Store, but I don't have warranty on it anymore since I got it a little over a year ago when it first released. My screen is also cracked from last December. Will the Apple Store still fix the sleep/power button and maybe my screen without warranty? & how much will be? Individual or both? Much appreciated!

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99, $149 or $199 depending upon the capacity.

  • Anyone know how to fix a stuck sleep/wake button on the IPOD Touch?

Anyone know how to fix a stuck sleep/wake button on the IPOD Touch?

If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup.

  • Adobe Reader is not opening pdf files - there is no Accept button on License Agreement

Please help. I am unable to open any pdf files with Adobe Reader 9.4.0. I get taken to an  Adobe Reader License Agreement page that says "Press the Accept button to Agree to the License Agreement and Continue." However, there is no accept button to press! Every timne I try to open a pdf file, I get taken back to the same Adobe Reader License Agreement page, with no Accept button. How do I get out of this dead-end loop? I have followed Adobe's tips on how to "Change" the file through the Control Panel in order to correct the problem, but I still end up in the same dead-end loop. What's the solution?

You can open Reader, click on right arrow key on your keyboard (it will change focus from Decline to Accept) and hit Enter....

  • Sleep power button not working

In KDE system settings I have it configured to put the computer to sleep when the power button is pressed. This used to work perfectly but now it has stopped working. Instead it ignores my preference and shuts down instead.

Edit: and they don't know how to use a search engine.
There is also the fact that functionality is removed. So I did pay attention, read the new man page and still had a question because I wondered if that functionality might be been moved elsewhere rather than removed. It is hard to be certain you've proved a negative and systemd has a lot of different man pages and puts things in a lot of different places.
Of course, it may well be that people also don't pay attention...

  • Stuck sleep/wake button

Hi everyone. I have an iPod for almost 6 months and in its second month I cracked its screen. But it was a really small crack, it didn't even bother me in. It was only there on the right bottom side and I was happy with it.
Last week when I was changing the song suddenly the sleep/wake button was stuck.
I knew they would change it for free because of the warranty. But they say since the screen is cracked, ipod is out of warranty and I have to pay 150$ for replacement of the sleep/wake button+the screen. It is ridicilous.
    I really need help.
    I can't

I dropped my phone and the button became stuck as well. The phone would begin to go into reboot mode as soon as it went to "sleep". I went to the Apple Store and they explained that it would cost the usual $250.00 to fix.
SHORT TERM FIX: In my case, I turned off the auto-lock option and left the screen on all the time. My phone only went into reboot mode when it went to sleep. This kills the battery life (and I carry the charger with me 24/7) but the phone still works. This is a short term solution. With 3G iPhones coming out soon (hopefully next 2 or three months) I did not want to spend $250.00 on repair. New Apple products are hard to predict so I probably wrong but I did not want to spend that much when I could get a new (and probably much better) phone down the line.

  • IPod touch problems grey pixels and stuck sleep/wake button

I got my iPod touch 2g in January of this year and I noticed that my sleep wake button was inside the iPod not sticking out like it is suppose to and I also saw that I have about 15 rows of greyed out pixels. I'm wondering if my warranty can fix both of these problems for free or do I need to pay money. I have tried the stuck pixel fix but nothing happened.

Did you try to restore in iTunes?

  • When I try to forward a PDF file by using the email button on the toolbar, it won't send.

I cannot always forward a PDF using the email button on the toolbar.  For example, I get a report forwarded to me as a link.  When I open the link, the document opens as a PDF.  I use the email button on the toolbar to forward the document as an attachment.  Outlook pops up as a new message with the attachment.  I finish writing my email and hit the "send" button and I get an error saying the doucment couldn't be sent.  If I close the email and save it as a draft, I can open the draft copy and it will send.  Is there someway to fix this so I can eliminate these extra steps?  This has happened on a computer with Adobe Reader as well as a computer with Adobe Acrobate 9 Standard.

Is that the exact message that Outlooks gives you?
Anyway, why don't you just forward the original link to the document, instead of the PDF itself?

  • My iPhone 3GS keeps turning itself off all the time for no reason every time I put it on silent or just get a Facebook message I have a broken sleep/power button anyone know how to fix this problem?

My iPhone 3GS keeps turning itself off all the time the power/sleep button dosent work so it's quiet annoying having to plug it in all the time dose anyone have a fix for this?

The "fix" is to get the phone repaired.  There's no magic solution for a broken phone.
Bring your phone ant $149 to Apple for an out of warranty replacement, or find a 3rd party repair shop near you.
