PDF files don't display on mobile devices after a GWIA upgra

Hi everybody,
After the upgraded to version 2014, the GWIA was very problematic that the Novell Engineer decided to delete the GWIA object and recreate it. The problem was that I forgot and he forgot to take screen shoots of the GWIA configuration pages before deleting the object. Now all the emails forwarded by using the rule set as "Forward as an attachment to:" action come in as MIME format attachments files just like they did before the upgrade but now the attached pdf, doc. etc files got remove/destroy before they get on the iPhones and other mobile devices. In addition, the emails dont display the original sender email address on the From: field. The same emails open fine in the workstations. I got the impression that the Novell Engineer who deleted/recreated my GWIA object does not even want to deal with this issue. I opened a service ticket with Novell tech support; I was put in the GW queue for close to 3 hours and nobody seemed to be interested in taking my case. The system keeps transferring my case to the CSR queue. Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Secondly, are your mobile devices accessing e-mail via WebAccess, GroupWise Mobility Server, or POP3/IMAP? Also, when you say the original sender's e-mail address does not display in the "From" field, may I ask what, if any, address is displayed there?

PDF files don't display or save from websites

I am unable to now download and save a PDF file from a website. I get either a blank window when I click on the PDF file link, or a message during the attempt to save that reads "The document “filename.pdf” could not be exported as “filename.pdf”." I am also unable to print the file from a website or save as a PDF.
This problem is a recent development, occurring in both OS X 10.7.3 and 10.7.4 on my MacBook. It occurs in both Safari 5.1.6 and Firefox 4.0.1. Since it occurs on more than one browser, I'm pointing towards the OS. I use Adobe Reader 10.1.3.
The problem does not occur on my MacBook Pro using OS X 10.6.8, using an older version of Safari.
I just updated from X 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 but with no results. I uninstalled Reader and reinstalled. Same results. Reader opens other PDF files on my hard drive with no difficulty.
Suggestions?

Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

With Firefox 4, pdf files don't display anylonger

when I click on link to a pdf files (I tried in several sites, inlcuded Mozilla) a new tab opens but the pdf content doesn't dispaly; sometimes clickin on the reload button the content is displayed but deafult beahvior is not dispalying any content. Is quite annoying.

the thing is:
1.load adobe acrobat reader or adobe reader(i think u already installed it);
2.goto tools->options->applications and chose like the image below.

Videos On YouTube Don't Display On Mobile Devices

I have tryed exporting from final cut pro x as apple device 1080p and then upload to youtube, as well as try and upload to youtue right from final cut pro. Either way i can not for the life of me figure out how to make it viewable on mobile devices. For instance if i go to my channel on my ipad and check it says "video not avalidable for this platform" or sometihng of that sort.

I'm having a similar problem. When I upload the videos to youtube after editing in final cut pro, the videos will play fine on computer and my ipad, but something happens on iphone and android phones. The video will work on these mobiles, but the sound is all screwed up. In more depth, the interviews I recorded on my zune h4n are screwed up but the music i overlayed is actually perfect.
Also, if i plug in headphones to send the audio from my phone to airplay speakers, it works fine. the audio only stops working through iphone speakers. help?

I noticed that files created (New) on Acrobat.com will not be displayed on the iPhone
while files created on the workstation (Apple) work fine (on both platforms).
Please, please, please, help me.

What's,with,the,commas?
If you have a tablet that runs full Windows 8 - not Windows 8 RT, which is limited.
And if you install the full Adobe Reader for Windows, not the special Adobe Reader Touch for Windows 8.
Then you will have the same features as a desktop.
Unless they can't be accessed in touch mode, since it isn't a touch app.

I can't get version 11.1.4 to install because it fails to get the Mobile device program. I don't have any mobile devices. How can I overide this so I just get iTunes on my PC?

I cannot get iTunes 11.1.4 to install. I have tried uninstalling iTunes and downloading itues again witha manual install. It always fails because it cant get the mobile device part to work. I am the administrator and I don't have ANY mobile devices. I just want to update the program on my PC - and now I don't have any iTunes at all.

Some PDF files are not displayed in Bridge

Hello,
here is the problem: I use Adobe Bridge CS2 to browse my large collection of PDF files, and unfortunately some files are not displayed in the Filmstrip View mode; instead a generic icon is shown (bridge1.png). Most PDF files, however, are displayed correctly (bridge2.png). Is this the problem of Bridge or of certain PDF files, and how should I fix them to make them being displayed by Bridge?

In fact, all files have similar type of content (research papers). However, I found out that all files which are not displayed are "protected" by the publisher such that they only can be viewed and printed, but not modified or disassembled. Apparently, this causes the problem with Bridge not displaying them. It's a pity that Bridge cannot handle them...

Hi !. My doubt would be the following one... I would like to know how to print a pdf file that was displayed in my page ?... I mean the PDF file not the page...

This first question which comes to mind is how do you display the pdf file in the browser?
For this the browser uses a plug in (e.g. adobe reader) which already has the ability to print the pdf file. Depending on the version of your plug in, printing is started differently.

In FireFox 4.0, PDF files will not display

After updating to 4.0, PDF files will not display in the browser window as before. All I get is blank screen. Everything works fine in IE9. I have updated all the plug-ins, including Adobe Acrobat. Also have enable Display PDF in browser in Acrobat Reader.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Using Windows 7, now Reader XI and now SOME pdf files won't display. Try: 'PDF of Reader XI Help'!!!

After installling Reader XI SOME pdf files will not display. Using Windows 7 and all worked fine until installation of XI. Esample: when I try to display YOUR file 'PDF of Reader XI Help' all I get is a blank screen with an X in the upper right corner. Works just fine with Windows XP and Reader 8.5.1. Any ideas ????? adobe PDF files will not display when called via a link in page.
This happens when testing new web page from DWeaver CS5 - all other browser tests are OK (IE9, Safari5.05, Chrome etc.)

CF8 - pdf files do not display in a browser

We are setting up the multiple instance capability using jrn4 with cf8,
with apache 2.x on Redhat linux 5.X.
For the when browsing to the main cfusion instance I can see pdf files
but if I go to the document root of an instance, pdf files are not displayed.
Infact it hoses whichever browser you are using.
I can see cfm, txt, html files.
Anyone have an idea what is happening?

I tried your recommendation of turning off coldfusion and it
appears the problem of not being able to display
a pdf file has nothing to do with coldfusion or with apache.
The problem appears to be how we are mounting the documentroot on a linux server
from a windows file server using a cifs mount.
It seems to handle text files properly but not pdf files (it may have problems
with other types of files), perhaps it is an issue with end of line or end of
file which is confusing things.
This is the mount command we are using
//win_file_server/xyz /data/xyz cifs user,ro,credentials=credentials,uid=48,gid=48,file_mode=0755,dir_mode=0755
The credentials file contains
username=some_name
password=xxxxxxxx
uid=apache
gid=apache
filemode=0660
dirmode=0770
nosuid
nosetuids
It works file if the documentroot is on a mounted unix file system, but not windows.
Does anyone know if mounting a windows file system can work properly?
(Perhaps we are missing some additional settings).
