Pdf files not being read in mac

the pdf files i create in acrobat pro 9 are not able to be read by mac users. can anyone help me out with this?

How are you sending them to Mac users? If by email, you might try to zip them first. If they are not able to receive zip files in the emails then you might try posting the pdf file to a web or ftp site.

XML file not being read by Accordion Demo

I had this working last week and it was a beautiful thing. I
subsequently added many more product items to the products.xml file
and resent it, now the products.xml file is not being read by the
index page. I have read all the posts and added all the suggested
fixes -

What's happening if you open the xml page (employees.xml)
directly in browser. Are you able to see all the records? Is the
XML valid?

Cannot open any pdf files since downloading reader to mac

I have now downloaded reader 9.1 four times to my mac (0S 10.14.1) I have attempted to open credit card statements and i get the black screen with the loading circle in the middle but no statement appears. I've waited a reasonable amount of time so but still no statement. When I downloaded reader I am not getting the user agreement. Any help is most appreciated. I hate change!

Have you copied the files you want to open to your hard disk? Have you tried opening any of those files from within Reader, and not by double clicking on their icons?

Web.xml file not being read

Hello, I did a quick search but could not find an answer to my specific problem. (this is also my first night tackling servlets) i hope this hasnt been answered before. here goes...

</web-app>when i access the servlet i get "No message" one time which is the default message. Any ideas as to why its not picking up the init parameters. I've restarted my laptop and started and stopped Tomcat a few times and i always get the default message...i also tried ShowMessage in replace of ShowMsg as the <servlet-name>, to no avail. I also tried removing the package name in the <servlet-class>, still nothing. Is there another web.xml file some where else that i need to update?

The doGet method works if you are sending data from a form using get method. It is better to use service method.

DVD not being read by Mac..

I put in a DVD that had pictures on it in my imac..my mac didnt read the dvd. It doesnt come up in my finder window, iphoto or desktop. My preferences are set for pictures to arrive into iphoto. My mac will not eject the disc either. So, re-started mac, disc popped out. I put in another DVD and it worked fine. DVD showed on desktop and was able to eject without re-starting. Put my original DVD into another mac and it worked just fine..Was able to see all pictures..went into iphoto and was able to eject normally. Any idea why my iMac is unable to read this DVD?

Thxs Rod..Though the disc is read on my mbp but not on my imac. I also made a copy of the pictures from my mb and tried to run it in my imac and it would not read.I put it back into my mb and it read it fine. My imac can play every other disc i put into it? Why just these pictures? I can get them on my mb but not on my imac

Office 2013 ADMX files not being read by group policy editor?

Okay so I'm having a real problem with the ADMX files for Office 2013. First of all we have a mix of 2012 R2 DCs with one 2008 R2 DC. The 2008 R2 is currently the primary DC. Here's what I've done so far:
Downloaded the ADMX files both 32 and 64bit.
Copied from my machine (Win7) to 2012R2 DC.
Downloaded and copied directly to the 2012R2DC policy definitions location
According to the research I've done, the Office 2013 template is supposed to appear under User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates. However it doesn't show up no matter what I do.
I consider myself fairly knowledgeable with GPOs but I'm stumped on this one. Can someone tell me what I'm missing here?

You can prevent it from being printed by applying a security policy to it
in Acrobat. The rest can't be prevented, unless you spend a LOT of money
on DRM protection.

I'm not able to open PDF files in Adobe Reader XI.

I recently updated to Adobe Reader XI and now I can't open any of my PDF documents or PDF e-mail attachments. When I click on a document I now get a window that asks if I want to allow this file to open. I click yes and get a monstrousity the likes I've never seen. It blacks out my screen for a couple seconds and then I get a mixture of my desktop, task bar, and a window wanting to know if I want to open this with Protected Mode disabled. It only fills 3/4 of the screen, the items all all blown-up in size, and are distorted. In playing with this I have gotten notes that I have an "Incompatable Application" and "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDS Server". On occasion I will get an Adobe Reader screen that is completely greyed out with no content in it and after a couple of seconds it goes off. Other times I got the window about Protected Mode and I've clicked on to disable it but that doesn't work either. I removed Adobe Reader XI and re-installed Adobe Reader X and I still have the same problem which I did not have before. I 'm running Windows 7 Professional and have McAfee anti-virus, which I have disbled on one occasion during download and that I still had the same problem. I went to program files to find the End User License Agreement and try to see if I needed to click on 'Accept" but it tells me the file does not exist. I even tried using System Restore to take me back to before I did the upgrade to Adobe Reader XI and I still have this problem. I'm at the end of my knowledge level and because these files are needed in my business I'm only able to operate at about 50%.

My 3rd gen ipod nano is not being read by itunes when I plug it into my mac laptop. It says "no name" on the mac screen, I lost all my music on the ipod itself.

My 3rd gen iPod nano is not being read by my iTunes on my mac. When going to sync, the mac screen says "no name". Also I believe I lost all the music on the iPod. When turned on it says "Welcome" as if it is new. I tried to copy all my music into the "no name" folder and then sync. The iPod said it was "syncing".

So does iTunes see the iPod or not? I couldn't quite understand from your post as you said it wasn't, but then said that the iPod was syncing...

Why can I not open PDF files using adobe reader in firefox?

When I try to read a PDF file with adobe reader the file looks like it starts to load, I see in the tool bar the page count but the file never opens.

You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use another application like the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications".
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.

The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
You may want to check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so involved preferences can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

Pdf file not opening on pushing fdf file with F key in Adobe Reader

Well i am a novice developer in case of PDF Development.
The problem which i am facing is:-
In our application a PDF document submits the data to server and server sends back FDF to client with f key as http path of PDF which is present on web server.
This all works well in acrobat professional 7.0 but in abobe reader 8.0 the PDF file doesn't open up on pushing FDF.
On debugging the problem i found out that if server sends response within 480 milliseconds then reader is showing the pdf otherwise it don't shows up.Since in our application it will always take more than this time because of several operation performed to serve the request posted to server,So the
PDF will never show up in case of reader.
I was unable to understand what make it special in acrobat professional that session lasts more than 480 milliseconds whereas in reader the session doesn't last that long.
I really need uregent help on this.
