the pdf file in which i kept my pictures gt corrupt. i used image extractor tools but for nothing. please help me. i am clueless what to do?

How silly was I as I had been using PDF files since the day I learned to operate the computer system and didn’t know anything about them. Then one day I realized that why don’t I learn something about PDF to become a mater in it.
As we know in these days, PDF files are most commonly used by worldwide. Belong to any part of the society, we as an individual or an organization use PDF files. Therefore it has become very essential element in computer service.

PDF is very popular due to its easiest form of transferring the files over and through the internet as it maintains the original formatting and secures the documents so nicely that other files’ formats don’t.
Any PDF file contains text or images and sometimes both i.e. text and images. It can be used for office presentation, school assignment or personal collection. But sometimes we don’t need the text part which is inside our PDF file. Occasionally, we need only the pictures from our PDF files. That time we usually do this: copy the images or pictures from the PDF files and then paste them in other new PDF file. That process of copy and paste takes a long time and makes us tired. So that time we need an application which can easily extract all the images and pictures from our PDF files in very short point of time.
But just think about this: How can you extract images and pictures from a PDF file which is corrupted. Because there is not any software application which can extract the images and pictures from a corrupt PDF file. Did I say no?

Can I extract images/items from a pdf?

I lost my hard drive! (D'oh!)
But I do have some hi-res pdf files made from the original files (InDesign).
Is it possible to extract discrete components from pdfs? Such as images, text blocks, etc?
It seems like it should be possible, but I'm wondering if one must be a PostScript coder or somesuch.

I have CS3, so v8.3.1 or Acrobat. So that process is Advanced > Document Processing > Export all images.
Oddly, it tells me that it can't extract/export vector images. I suppose that means AS SUCH, since it managed to export JPEG versions of images that I know were .eps format. Strange, but true!

Why are url and email addresses not fully viewable in a PDF when generated from a Word file?

I have a question?
A colleague in our Copenhagen office wanted to generate a pdf from a Word file. She is working on a Windows 2007 operating system and is running Acrobat Pro 9. When she generated the PDF only part of a url and an email address was visible when the PDF was viewed. She was wofking from Standard settings. I am running the same software on the same Windows platform and using the same computer equipment with the same settings yet I was able to generate a PDF where the full url and email address was visible.
Can anyone out in Adobe Acrobat land provide me with an answer?

That's probably because the Mac people are opening or viewing the PDFs within the Mac's "Mail" program or with the "Preview" program and not with Acrobat.
Since the Windows people aren't using these programs and most likely just Acrobat or Adobe Reader, the layers are kept hidden.
I'm afraid the only way to truly keep those layers hidden is to delete them before saving your file as a PDF. (Of course, do a "Save As" and keep your original .ai file intact.

Converting a pdf image embedded in an XML file to a PDF file

I have an XML file which contains a PDF image of a billing document and i want to extract this PDF image and convert it into a PDF file.

Data recovery from corrupt boot partition

The boot partition on my MacBook running 10.7.6 has a corrupt volume structure and will not mount, much less boot. The recovery partition boots but really doesn't let me do anything. Disk Utility can't repair nor even complete verification. I have lots of images which I need to recover, so am looking for a utility which might help.
Everything was apparently ok until the failure and the drive hardware checked out ok, so I'm hopeful my files are recoverable. A week or so ago I optimized the volume with TechTool Pro and the directory with DiskWarrior, and last night attempted to sync 1Password on my iPad with 1Password for Mac. This did no t work, probably because of my unfamiliarity with the procedure, but seemed to do no damage. When I ran TTPro last night from its eDrive partition it reported a volume structure problem on the partition which I started to fix with the program but then cancelled the analysis and decided to use disk utility instead. Disk utility also reported a problem but stopped the verification with the instruction to do a repair which it again could not complete. When I rebooted the system partition would again not boot but this time I got grey screen with a message that the debugger had loaded and <panic>. A message box said power down and restart, but that only repeats the process.
I'm thinking of attempting to install a system on an external boot drive and accessing the corrupt partition with a data recovery utility. Any insights, ideas or shared experiences appreciated. Thanks in advance for any desperately needed help.

The safest thing to do here is to install a new disk in the system and do a clean install of OS X. From there, you can put your corrupted volume in an external USB enclosure and mount the file system to try and recover as much data as you can.
It's likely obvious now, but it's REALLY worth investing in a large-capacity external storage or Time Capsure to use with Time Machine. Backups are essential. Hardware always eventually dies. We all need an effective strategy to deal with that.
A long time ago, I was backing my Linux system up to 4mm DAT. When the inevitable HDD crash came, I thought I was ready. Unfortunately, I hadn't tested recovery from tape and I ended up losing everything. Which is to say, until you know you can restore, you don't even have a backup. I lost thousands upon thousands of photos of my kids growing up.
BTW, if it is essential that you recover as much as possible, consider taking the disk to a data recovery service. Be warned: It's expensive.

System Image Recovery from Network Drive - not found

Hello all!
I have been routinely backuping my OS and important files using Windows 7 backup on a NAS. It just so happened that I needed to re-image my OS drive and I got into the Windows 8 recovery boot sequence.
I booted from a windows 8 USB stick and Under the Advanced tools I selected the System Image Recovery and tried to look for the system image on the network path. Although the prompt said it was connecting to the network , the network share was
not found. the command prompt couldn't ping google.com and netsh wlan <SSID> command did not work in hopes of connecting to my local wifi.
Is there a way to connect to the wifi network where my NAS is connected to in order to re-image from the system image found on the NAS? Luckily , there was an older image on a separate local HDD that I could re-image from but I would prefer if
I could connect to the NAS during the recovery process.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

First, I have to say that in WinRE, http and wifi is not supported, that's why you cannot ping google and connect to wifi.
To access NAS, we have to make sure that your network connection is wired, and try to manually location the NAS via
\\IP address\...
I will check if the Windows 7 image backup can be restored in WinRE of Windows 8, and update your soon.

I have tried this, and it appeared that to restore Windows 7 image backup on this computer from Windows 8 winRE is not supported.

Please check in access policy matched, in 'Objects' column, if you have any limit set or type of files blocked.
You can also perform a test - create a Custom URL Category and add the
website where you are downloading PDF in it, then in access policy -> URL Filtering, configure this Custom URL Category to 'Allow'.

Recovery for corrupt DNG files?

I have many DNG files that are showing as corrupt--files copied from a failing hard drive. The file sizes seem right--around 26MB each, shot with a Canon 5DMIII and converted to DNG via Lightroom.
The bad hard drive is dead now, I can't run recovery software on it, but I do have the files on a healthy drive.
Anyone know of software that might be able to open corrupt DNG files? Some of the photo recovery software I've used in the past works by scanning media, but I have thousands of media files on the drive--I'm looking for recovery software that will let me open specific files and try to recover them. I'm on a Mac. I've tried Photoshop CC, and LR 5.6. When I try to open the .dng files, I get: "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file."

There's a plugin that will extract your Lightroom preview as a jpg. It won't get your raw files back, but the jpegs ought to be good enough to print.
Best practice says that you need to keep at least two copies of your originals. On separate physical devices.

Recovery from corrupted backup

Hi i am new to oracle.
i am working from basics and aspire to learn more.
i have created a new tablespace as follows.
create tablespace college datafile 'f:\oracle\oradata\data1\data1.dbf' size 10m;
made a hot backup of it as
alter tablespace college begin backup;
sql> host
c:\ copy f:\oracle\oradata\data1\data1.dbf h:\hot\data1.dbf
other than one hot backup, i dont have any other backup of it.
but unfortunately, the backup has been also corrupted.
is there any way to restore / recover that tablespace?

Export image sequence from AS flash file

Hello:
I am new to flash I am using flash professional 8 and
publishing at version 6 (although I can publish to any version for
this issue). I am using ActionScript 2.0 and am animating objects
using code instead of tweens. I need to export the animation out as
separate frames. I need the image sequence from the flash to use in
other applications and other uses. If anyone has any idea on how to
do this I'd appreciate knowing. I'd prefer to not have to buy more
software of course but if that is the case and it is the best way

The latest Flash CC 2014 release has an export to SVG option, which exports the current frame as SVG. There is no direct way to export the entire animation as SVG sequence though.

Poor image quality from Interactive PDF

HELP!
A logo that is placed in InDesign and exported as an Interactive PDF isn't displaying correctly.
The client says it's corrupted when viewed on a laptop. Certain letters in the logo seem longer than others and some appear thicker.
It's an RGB vector file. I've tried ai, eps, pdf, png, jpeg. I've redrawn the letters. I've copied and pasted it into another document. I've reduced the scale of it. I've copied it from illustrator straight into Indesign.
I've changed the image handling compression, JPEG Quality and Resolution in the export to Interactive PDF settings.
I don't know what else to try.
The client says at 200% the logo looks ok in acrobat, but in full screen mode the problem comes back.
Please help!

Please help me. i have already viewd Image but PDF comming empty. i do not want to edit or do anything only user should be able to view uploaded Doc from IPD App. and Doc can be image, pdf or .doc or excel sheet. i get BLOB file for all file types which i pass to my App.

Hi Sreelatha. The best example code for your purpose is the Scrolling sample app I referred to previously. The word Scrolling in that post is a link to the download page. I think that code will answer all your questions about how to init a UIImage, then use it to init a UIImageView, and then position the UIImageView frame in a UIScrollView. Two cases are demostrated: 1) Scrolling horizontally through a series of images; 2) Scrolling both H & V over a single image which is several times larger than the window.
You might also be interested in the PageControl sample app in case you want to add a page control to your scroll view.
Reading your last post again... I sure hope we've been discussing images (like jpegs?) in this thread. This isn't about reading and rendering the actual xls, pdf and doc files, is it?? Of course the iPhone handles html beautifully, so for example, an html representation of a doc file would play nicely. But in that case you'd want a UIWebView, not a UIImageView.

HTML/Malicious.PDF.Gen virus from Acrobat PDF file

I've been using the trial version of Acrobat Pro 9.0 for a couple days now. A PDF I have put together with the software triggers my anti-virus software everytime I open it.
Any ideas what is going on and how I can fix it?

I download adobe reader ver 9.1, and it has 2 files addered to the file, when I use an antivirus (I use NOD 32) he abort the 2 files at download. But I download too with out antivirus and when I copied to CD, the files addered were not copied. NOD32 inform that it is posible a variant of a virus, but any can toll me what are the 2 files, with one are they funcionality.
But reader 9.1 works with out the 2 files

Can Adobe Interactive PDFs play sound from imported .swf files

I'm really really stuck, can anyone help? I'm on 10.8.3 using In Design CS6
I am trying to get an interactive PDF with imported .sfw files with sound to play ....the sound. Preview is fine in the working file - but as per the previous query on thishttp://forums.adobe.com/message/4772574 - The interactive PDF loses the sound. I tried installing ezPDF - but it's an app and I don't know how to install it to work (I think it's meant for iPADs). So...does anyone know if I can have an imported .swf file play when exported to an Interactive PDF and also work on an end users PC?...should I be able to install ezPDF reader on my MAC and get everything working?
Any help would be good as this is day 3 having called Adobe on Day 1 which was fruitless.

Really hard to say without seeing the whole project, but my guess is that you have moved your exported SWF somewhere from it´s original location (where you exported it to) without moving Resources folder to same target location too... when you place video, audio or SWF to your layout, indesign does not embedd it to resulting SWF. Those files will be stored into a resources folder which always has to be at same root with exported SWF. Media files will be loaded dynamically from that folder at runtime.
So you can guess what happens if that folder does not exist....

Script to export IDCS3 to PDF utilizing text from document as file name

I have written a few very very basic scripts so I really only know enough to be dangerous. I tried searching the forums first but couldn't find a situation quite like this one.
I have an IDCS3 file that is using data merge to create multiple files. After the merged document is created I want to export the pages individually with a file name that is derived solely from information in one of the text frames on each page.
Example: page 1 has text frame with the text, Style 1002. I want the file name to be 1002, or it could be Style 1002 if need be.
Page 2's text frame says, Style KL303. Same here, I want the file name to be KL303, or Style KL303.
Is this possible? Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. I have about 400 of these to create and exporting each of them individually, manually, would be a chore.

Ask in the ID forum. Sounds like you need to check your master pages and assign a new template to your pages.
