pdf image whit text want to convert in  word

Please post your question at this link:
<https://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/creating__editing_%26_exporting_pdfs>
And also explain better because an image is an image and it can't be
changed to anything else but if you explain your requirements then
somebody will come out with a solution for you.
Good luck.

Haakwine you have posted to the Downloading, Installing, Setting Up forum.  Which specific Adobe software or service are you trying to use to convert PDF files?

  • I'm a "virgin" at this!!  I just scanned a phone list into a computer, saved it as a PDF doc.  I want to convert it into Excel doc and SAVE in Excel so I can update as necessary.  Help!!

I've never used this service!  I just scanned a phone list into my computer and saved it as a PDF doc.  I wanted to convert it into an Excel file to make updating easy.  Help!

When you scan something, the result is an image, no editable text.  This is why text inside an image must be converted into real text; using OCR (Optical Character Recognition).
The way to do that is different when using Acrobat or ExportPDF; that's why I'm asking.

  • Not able to edit existing text in a converted to Word PDF file.

I cannot edit text in a converted to word  PDf file. I can only add text. Why? I am using Export PDF

    Hi Mark,
Have you tried triple clicking on your document? Sometimes the conversion can come across as an image.
Let me know if that works!

    Hi Patrick,
You have subscribed for this service yesterday, uaually it would take 24 hrs to get this service activated. I can see that your service is now up and running.
Kindly check the below mentioned article on how to get started with ExportPDF:

Let me know if you have any issue while accessing the service,

    Hi kemtnilion,
What did you get a trial of? Adobe doesn't offer free trials of the Acrobat.com online services; did you get a free trial of Acrobat, perhaps? If so, you can save a PDF directly to Word from Acrobat, by choosing File > Save as Other > Microsoft Word > Word Document.
Please let us know if you have additional questions.

  • I want to convert a word file to a PDF

I want to convert a Word file to a PDF file. I can't get past the page that states choose the file I want to convert. Nothing happens when I select the word file I want to convert

    Hi larryjohn,
I'm sorry that you're having trouble converting your Word file to PDF. Does it happen with just one particular Word file, or are you running into the same issue with any Word file?
For starters, please try the following:
Clear your browser cache (steps to do this vary by browser)
If you're using a work computer, check with your IT team to confirm if you have firewall/proxy settings that restrict the ability to upload files to the internet.
Lastly, if the issue persists after the steps above, please try another web browser.  A list of supported browsers for accessing the ExportPDF service is available here: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/
Please let us know how that goes, and if we can be of further assistance.

  • Preview Printing Negative Images - White text and lines on black background

Desperate for help here. After upgrading to Tiger, I have more instances when Preview displays a PDF correctly but prints certain pages with images, such as graphs and technical figures, as negatives, that is, white text and line art on a black background. Is there any way I can fix this? Any advice would be most appreciated.

I was trying to scan from a Lexmark X5250 into Preview so that I could fax a signed document to a company.
When I chose "To be faxed", with Preview TIFF program under 10.4.6 (combo) (PPC), the document appeares in Preview as a white-on-black (negative) in Preview's open window.
A work-around seems to be that one selects "To be printed", then prints from Preview, then selects (in the lower-left corner drop-down-menu) "Fax PDF". (Unfortunately, the modem still won't hang-up properly -- is this because of my ADSL filter on the fax phone-line? ).

  • PDF with white text, or not?

OK, so I have and PDF file with some white text according to my own programm, and it seems to be set to overprinting.
I have asked about this subject before, but failed to make myself clear enough. This question will be more clear, at least I hope.
This is the file in question: http://www.4shared.com/document/Sn7nSydh/error_detected.html
In  that file the Adobe PreFlight is NOT detecting white text that is set to overprint, but my own code does...
And this file the Adobe PreFlight and my own code agree, there is white text that is set to overprint: http://www.4shared.com/document/S9-3F59t/GWG_test_file.html
So now for my question. Were am I going wrong? I think I must seek the error in the colors. So we have two colors when puting out text in a PDF; stroking and non-stroking. When the stroking is set to CMYK(0, 0, 0, 0) and the non-stroking is set to CMYK(0,0,0,1) then we really have white text, and when the Graphic State op (overprint) is set to True, the text is set to overprint...
When the stroking is set to CMYK(0,0,0,0) and the non-stroking is set to somthing like CMYK(0.1, 0.4, 0.5, 0.9) the text is not white, so we are done checking??
I you can bare with me one this one. Thanks!

You are correct that each object can have two colors - a stroking color and a fill color - but the only color(s) that are relevant are the one(s) needed by the specific drawing operators.  If you set the stroke color to be something in RGB (for example) and the fill in CMYK, and just fill the object, then RGB is never used and wouldn't be found by a check.  Same is true for things like white overprint.  The text in that PDF is filled and not stroked, so the stroke color isn't relevant.
In addition, for that file, I don't see OP being set to true at any point related to the text.

I have adobe reader 8.  What do I need in order to edit PDF docs so I dont have to try to convert to Word?

With just the free Reader? No way that I know of. You would need Acrobat.

  • Getting multiple PDFs, when I only want 1, from a Word doc

When trying to save a Word 2004 document with some pages that are portrait and some landscape as a PDF file (print > save as PDF), the result is multiple PDFs. For example, if the first three pages are portrait, the fourth is landscape, and the fifth portrait again, I'll get 3 PDFs -- pgs 1-3, pg 4, pg 5.
The Word document has a section break inserted at each point where the page orientation changes. So in the example above, there would be two section breaks, and three sections.
Using CutePDF on a Windows machine, I don't have this problem, but there is no CutePDF available for Mac.
Does anyone know a way to address this issue using the Mac's native PDF creation functionality?

That is the way that it is. The Print>PDF function is integrated into the printing system, and changing orientations while printing is not a good thing to do. Doing so would require the System to make assumptions, and that is not the Mac model for doing things.
You can combine the files in Preview afterwards, or you can create the document with the same orientation for all the pages and rotate the ones you want in Preview.

  • Document text shifts when converting from Word

I'm getting so frustrated. I am converting Word 2003 documents to Acrobat 8 pdf's. Without fail, the document size shifts upon conversion. So, if I have a table, the PDF is smaller than the Word version. I tried making Acrobat my default printer and then creating the document in Word and converting it to PDF, but that doesn't seem to help.
Any ideas on how I can stop this?

Try printing to the Adobe PDF printer if that is not the procedure you have been using. May not fix the problem, but worth the try. Check the printer properties, there are often options for shrink to fit and such. Also look at the print preview and be sure it is not a WORD option!

  • Accessing Txt in Image on Text pdf file

Use Omnipage OCR s/w to produce pdf Image on Text (i-o-t) pdf files. Sometimes I miss a correction I wd like to have made. If I correct this via Omnipage I then must re-insert the corrected pdf page into a by-now completed pdf document file which is all a bit time-consuming.
Is there any way I can use Acrobat directly to read the text component of the image on Text pdf file and correct the underlying text there?
Am using Acrobat 5; is this feature available in a later version of Acrobat?

If you can use the touchup text tool, then it is possible. You can not re OCR the page what has text on it.

  • How to convert a word file into PDF in command line ?

    Hi,
I want to convert a word (excel, powerpoint, ...) into a PDF using a windows command line.
    The command :
    c:\> acrodist toto.ps
is working file and the output is a PDF file (toto.pdf)
But if i try with a MS office word file it is not working
    c:\> acrodist toto.doc
The output in the console is:
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: ÐÏࡱá ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
If i do a right clic on the file with the mouse and select in the context menu the option convert to PDF it is working fine :-\
How can i convert that kind of file with a command line ?
    Thanks for your help
    Xav

    >But, from the windows explorer, if i do a right clic on the word document, with the context menu, i can directly convert to PDF
This is equivalent to using the PDFMaker facility in Word - that is,
the Acrobat button. Which is also the same thing that is done when you
use File > Create PDF > From File in Acrobat.
What it does is print to a PS file *and* do a lot of additional
processing to write stuff about links, tags etc. into the PS file.
    >(no tmp PS file is used, cause the links are still working).
This isn't true, but it's certainly the case that you won't get links.
There seems to be no API, via any mechanism, still less the "obsolete"
(Microsoft's view) command line, to use PDFMaker from your program.

  • Convert Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files to PDF

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/pro/using/WS40411658-73C0-4669-88E8-D410F5993FAC.html

Acrobat converts a whole Excel sheet to PDF even though one wants to convert only a defined print area (if converting the Excel file with either right-click or from within Acrobat . Converting from within Excel works.)
    -> Applies for Excel 2010 only .
    Workaround:
Activate in Excel the function "Allow changes by more than one user at the same time" under:
Tab Review > Share Workbook > set checkmark at "Allow changes by more than one user at the same time"
then save the document and now creating a PDF with each of the above mentioned methods works as expected.
