PDF Image will not fill up entire custom size page

Fellow Forum Members,
I'm using Acrobat 6 and SnagIt 8. My screen captures with SnagIt are being saved in PDF format. But for some reason I can't figure out, the capture image is not filling up the entire 8" x 6" PDF custom size page. I keep on getting 1.5" Right and Bottom margins no matter what setting I use in Distiller or in SnagIt. It's like the image is refusing to resize itself to fill up the page.
Does anyone out there know of a way to screen capture an image at a 8" X 6" size and have it totally fill up a 8" X 6" PDF page? Is there a screen capture app that doesn't have this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you use Acrobat's built-in functionality of creating a new PDF from the clipboard it fills the entire page.

CS6 (Windows) My Images are not filling the entire program window

My sequence is set to 1920x1080 and I have imported some images (Tiff's) into it that are of the resolution. Yet, when I go to those images in the timeline, they are not filling the entire available space. The entire image is being displayed, but it is supposed to fill the entire screen. You can see for yourself with this image attachments.
Ideas?

OK, the Default Scale to Frame Size box was unchecked, I checked it.
The aspect ratios match.
I understand what you are saying about pixel depth, but 1920 x 1080 is still the width and height of the image and the image and sequence both show the same width and height, think that I should not get what I am getting here.
I checked the "Modify|Interpret Footage" option and the radio button is set to "Use Pixel Ratio From File: Square Pixels (1.0)" and changed it to Conform to Square Pixels (1.0) and still have the same results.
This is not happening with just one image, it is happening with all of them. If I bring in an image that is 3840x2160 (200%) and then set the scale to 50%, I still get the same black space. So, it is either fill the screen and cut off some of the displayed image or live with black space. There is just something wrong here I am not seeing.

My Still Image will not fill the Canvas????

I want to create the effect of panning down through space.
I took a still frame from a movie in FCP sized at 720 x 576 and brought it into Photoshop, and made the canvas 720 x 1146 and copied the image and pasted it on top of itself. So my image is now 720 x 1146, and I exported it as a .psd and brought it into FCP.
When dragged from the Browser and into the Timeline, the image does not take the full width of the Canvas. It seems long enough, though now not wide enough to fill the Canvas. What is going on?

well 720x576 is PAL. Why you've got a 640x480 sequence only you can say, if you want it to be 720x576 then you should make a new sequence and choose an appropriate sequence setting.
The reason your still is displaying small in the centre of the frame is that fcp is automatically scaling the 1146 pixels down to fit the 480 pixel height of the sequence. If you set the canvas view size to a small size (25 or 50% and turn on overlays you can click on the corner of the wireframe around you still and drag to resize it to fill the width of the frame and overlap the top and bottom. Move the playhead to the frame you want the tilt down to start and then you can click anywhere within the wireframe to reposition the still. Double click the still in the timeline to load it in the viewer, then go to the motion tab and make a keyframe here, then move the playhead to where the tilt down will end and make another keyframe.

Pasted PDF image will not resize

I am building a web site with iWeb - http://www.ipowerapps.com
Notice how small the iPowerApps logo is? It does not appear this way in iWeb (I resized it to make it biger). The source of the logo was from a PDF file. I believe that I selected it and pasted it into one of the existing photo frames in the template (I do not remember exactly what I did). Any ideas as to why this would occur?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The logo is a small portion of the png file that it's in. The image size is 298 x 226 and most of it is blank space. Crop it down to something like 110 x 90 with the logo in the center and try it. However, you might want to find a larger version of it so it won't look pixelated if you enlarge it in iWeb by dragging a corner.
Try selecting the image in iWeb and use the Inspector/Metrics pane to resize it.

Pdf files will not open upon downloading

I download a lot of pdf docs for work and want them to open automatically upon download so I can screen them. Since upgrading to Safari 5.1, when I download files (which has gotten much more cumbersome) they do not automatically open upon download. Yes, I DO have the "open safe files after downloading" option checked in Preferences. Any other thoughts? A solution would be most helpful. (If anyone has a solution to how I can automatically download files as easily as in prior versions, that would be greatly appreciated also.)

.PDF files will not open without saving first

Since downloading Adobe Reader 11.0.07 on 5/20/14 .pdf files will not open without saving them first. I want .pdf files to open first BEFORE I save them (using Windows 7 and Firefox 30.0)

Thanks for answering. The version is XI.0.10. I just did the update yesterday hoping that I could now properly edit a scanned pdf document. Yes, it's happening on most all scanned documents. I followed your steps & found the list of fonts used in the document & then attempted to edit. The same occurs. When I type in a correction, I get an error alert... "the original font (in this case Fd 5805) is not available or can't be used in editing. Acrobat is using the font Minion Pro in its place."
When I select the text & right click as you suggested, my only choices are cut, copy, delete or select all, no "edit text".
I have no other options to choose another font. Thanks for any help you can direct my way.

PDF documents will not open in Adobe Acrobat 5

I have one computer with XP running Acrobat 5. I now have a second computer running Windows 7 with Acrobat 9 Pro. When I take PDF documents from the computer with Acrobat 9 Pro to the one with Acrobat 5, the PDF docs will not open - an error message states the file is corrupted. Why is this hapening and how can it be fixed?
Thanks for any assistance - confused.

#1 - The files were moved using a thumb/USB drive and "Safely Remove" was used.
#2 - You may be on to something here for some: Some were created by AA9 but some others were scanned in and some were from AA8 that I had no trouble before.
#3 - The only "special feature" is that the PDF files are searchable and some are a PDF of an image.
These are basic PDF files.

In FireFox 4.0, PDF files will not display

After updating to 4.0, PDF files will not display in the browser window as before. All I get is blank screen. Everything works fine in IE9. I have updated all the plug-ins, including Adobe Acrobat. Also have enable Display PDF in browser in Acrobat Reader.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Pdf links will not open in ie8 windows 7

I have installed, uninstalled Adobe Reader 10 and Internet Explorer. I have tried all the solutions listed in some other posts. PDF links will not open the files on some web sites, Fidelity.com in particular. I have reset IE8 Advanced Options and Advanced Options Reset, Created another Windows Administrative user, performed clean boot in Windows and run IE8 (no addons) from the accessory menu and unchecked the Display PDF in Browser box in preferences. None of these options have resulted in correcting the problem. Adobe Reader 10 works fine on the Fidelity web site in Firefox.

IPhoto images will not appear in Media browser

After updating my iLife apps (iLife '09), iPhoto images no longer appear in my media browser. In iMovie, it just says "Loading iPhoto Images", but never does. I am using a Macbook with OS X 10.5.8 and 2 GB memory. Images will not appear in iDVD either. Anyone have any thoughts?

Do you still have the old library? Rebuilding it with iPhoto Library Manager would preserve most of your work.
This will creates a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I am receiving this message and the images will not open.....'Could not open scratch file because the file is locked, or you do not have necessary access permissions or another program is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file. How do I fix this? Disk Images will not mount and Disk Utility will not runru

I am having some major problems with Disk Utility, Disk Images, and software update. First, Disk utility will not open or run. When I double-click the application icon, nothing happens, no message, nothing. I am running OSX 10.4.11. I have deleted diskutility prefs. I am able to run Disk Utility from the Startup DVD of Tiger. On first run, it verified and repaired permissions. I run verify and repair permissions several more times from Startup DVD and everything is fine. But Disk Utility on my startup HD will not work. Similary, NONE of my disk images will mount. No matter what Disk Image i try to mount, nothing will. And I cannot use Disk utility to mount them! So, no matter what I download, no images will mount. And thirdly, when I try to run software update, it will not work. I do get a message: it says, "Could not load Software Update." Finally, i tried to download Onyx to delete log files, etc.. but again, the disk image will not mount. I was able to install a dashboard widget called "maintidget" and was successful in running the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks. Can anyone help? Everything else works fine!!! All apps! Safari, Mail, iTunes, MS Office, everything works fine. Thanks for ANY help!

Previously, I had run verify permissions, repair permissions multiple times(from startup DVD) - no probems found. Deleted disk utility prefs. Run the maintenance taskes (daily, weekly, monthly). Nothing worked. But, I forget to check the drive for problems. So I ran disk scan. It found "invalid node" and repair disk could not do it. So, do I erase and do a fresh install or get DiskWarrior? I am running Leopard so I do not have Time Machine but I have backed up my documents, iTunes Library, iPhoto Library, etc... Another thing I found out the hardway is to sync all your bookmarks, mail settings and messages, etc... with .mac if you have an account. Any more suggetions?
