  • Java, Adobe Acrobat, HP Web Printing, Adobe Contribute, all of which people use world round no longer compatible with Firefox? Maybe it's time to go back to IE.

Firefox used to be the best, now its working against every piece of software i use in the publishing industry. Java is important, so is Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe contribute.
Maybe it is time to kick Firefox to the curb. Firefox is not getting better, it's getting worse. It freezes, it crashes, it's no longer compatible with major programs in the publishing industry.
AND, you guys never answer any of your users. I'm tired of Firefox freezing up. read your freaking forums. Your not making the internet better, I used to have such faith you.

    Thanks Mike!
I'm just so frustrated, its bad enough my other laptop wasn't even 2 yrs old
yet and I've spent $800 to have it fixed twice already, this 3rd time I was
DONE... so I moved onto Sony, but this Vista just is making my life a living
hell, I just spent a fortune on the laptop, and now I have to buy Adobe 9
when my adobe 7 isn't even 2 yrs old... ugh... its just very frustrating and
nerve racking and is costing more than I make in a week in this business
(real estate processing)... I should sell Microsoft for a living, I'd be a
    millionaire!
My husband's Mac has been through hell and back physically, is 5 yrs old and
we've never had to take it in for any upgrades or issues, its SO easy to
use... why can't Microsoft be the same?!?!
Thanks for your input and for being understanding of my frustration, I bet
    you see those often! LOL

  • My Xerox Phaser 6120 is no longer compatible with Firefox. There is no new driver. How can I revert to a previous version so I can browse AND print?

For a few months, I have been unable to print from Firefox. I assumed it was a setting or something on my network, but today figured out it's my old printer driver that is no longer compatible. There is no new driver, nor will there be one. I love my printer, and do not want to buy a new one just to be able to use Firefox AND print. Switching back and forth between Firefox and Safari isn't an option. Any suggestions? Is there a way to regress my Firefox so it can work like it used to? Any workarounds? Thanks very much.

Also, if I can do that without destroying my library and files, it would be great!!

  • Rapport missing from toolbar in Firefox version 18. Is it no longer compatible with Firefox?

I get no indication that Rapport is active so I can't trust Firefox if I need Rapport protection.

    Hello,
A possible situation/solution- Rapport is running (you're protected) but the icon does not appear (some banks choose this as a default), you can set it here:
    For Windows:
    1. Click Start -> All Programs -> Trusteer Rapport -> Rapport Console
    2. Next to "Address bar icon" click "show"
    3. Restart your browser (close all open browser windows and open a new window)
    For Mac:
    1. Go to System Preferences
    2. Under "Other" click Rapport
    3. Check "Display Rapport icon in browser address bar
    4. Restart your browser (close all open browser windows and open a new window)
Otherwise, Rapport might not be running. You can turn it on via the start menu/System preferences. If it still doesn't appear please contact our support at www.trusteer.com/support/report-problem

  • Firefox is no longer compatible with a screen reader programs why?

Firefox 4.0 is no longer compatible with screen reader programs such as zoom text. I'm a visually impaired user and have never had problems until now. I want to revert back to 3.5 because now 4.0 is useless to me. If it isn't broken don't fix it. Mozilla just made things worse for me. Thanks a lot.

Your screen reader is no longer compatible because it's author has not updated it for FF4

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data. See https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+Firefox
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use
    your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of
installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • Firefox is no longer compatible with Walgreen photo web site - Walgreen says only Internet Explorer will work - will this be fixed?

I have used Firefox for years but recently I've had instances where Firefox will not work with some web sites. The most recent is Walgreens photo. I spent about an hour being frustrated then called Walgreens. They told me that I had to use Internet Explorer. Sure enough it worked fine. Can Firefox be made compatible with Walgreen's web site?

  • Firefox is no longer compatible with certain sites (eg my digital banking) when I have previously had no problems.

Some websites which I have accessed without problems will no longer work with Firefox. My digital banking site says that I should have Firefox 2.0 (at least) & I have 3.6.8 installed. My Yahoo mail will not open in the new version - again it suggests Firefox 2.0 or above.

Your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed, and your bank doesn't know which version of Firefox you are running. It sees it as ''Firefox 979802487603 ''.

type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter
''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''

Right-click the preferences that are '''bold''', one line at a time, and select '''''Reset''''',
    Then restart Firefox

  • The Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.0 extension/Firefox extension indicates it is not compatible with Firefox 24.6.0 ESR.  Where could I obtain a more up to date extension for Acrobat X Pro 10.0?

Hi - I am running Acrobat X Pro 10.0.0 on my Windows XP Pro SP 3 (32-bit) laptop and Firefox 24.6.0 ESR.  When I check the add-ons manager of Firefox I am receiving notication that the Acrobat X Pro - Create PDF 1.0 extension is incompatible with Firefox 24.6.0 ESR.
Is it possible to obtain a more up to date Acrobat X Pro - Create PDF extension please?
    Thank you and kind regards.

Many updates to 10.0.0 are available, so this is the first thing to try. I don't know if it will help, but there are vital security fixes there too.

  • Facebook and Slacker no longer working with Firefox. Still work with Explorer. Until a week ago problem did not exist.

I am for about one week not able to input information on Facebook. Also the Facebook page appears in a huge font. Regarding Slacker I do not see any available online radio stations. Until about a week ago everything worked fine. At present I can work with Internet Explorer, but at present can no longer work with Firefox.

    Hi userwhat,
Your personal data should have been saved, and you can try to follow these steps to fix your problem.
*First, you should report that to the developer of the add-on the troubles that you are experiencing.
    * Then, you can try [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ The Add-on Compatibility Reporter], which allows you to use add-ons that haven't yet been explicitly updated to work with Firefox 5, and lets you report the results of compatibility.
    * For add-ons that do not work with The Add-on Compatibility Reporter, you can still downgrade to the previously maintained version, which is Firefox 3.6 that you can download here: [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]

Only IE 11 does this. I have tried clearing cache and cookies. I even uninstalled and re-installed IE 11. It is still doing it.  I am surprized that a company like Adobe would just ignore our posts and leave us hanging this this.
Error message is FAILED TO GET DISPATCH FROM IBRWSR2.  Then when you click on it the next error message says:  PHTML IS NULL. You have to click this error message twice and then the PDF finally loads. Happened every time
Does anyone have a solution since Adobe will not respond?
As a last resort I will try uninstalling the Adobe Reader XI and install Adobe Reader 10 instead. It seems to work ok. But when I try to install version 10 the Adobe site tries to install XI.  Any ideas?

It worked just fine for me.

  • I tried to install Selenium IDE and got message "Selenium IDE Java formatter could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 5.0". How can I uninstall Firefox 5.0 and roll back to a version that works with Selenium IDE? - 22 Jun-2011

I tried to install Selenium IDE and I am getting the message:
'''Selenium IDE Java formatter could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 5.0''

You can turn off compatibility checking, but more and more of the Google Toolbar will not work. Google is no longer supporting the Google Toolbar so you should use the alternatives.
    Hi Mark,
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Google_Toolbar_features_without_toolbars

  • What is the name of best Antivirus which is compatible with firefox?

what is the name of best Antivirus which is compatible with Firefox? I have bought Kaspersky but it says:
content blocker 13.0.2.558 is incompatible with firefox 19.0.2
Kaspersky URL Advisor 13.0.2.558 is incompatible with firefox 19.0.2
safe money 13.0.2.558 is incompatible with firefox 19.0.2
Virtual keyboard 13.0.2.558 is incompatible with Firefox 19.0.2
I really don't want to switch to Google chrome or any other browser because of Kaspersky.I have 14 days to return it. please advise me that what is the best antivirus that is full compatible with Firefox.

Your Kaspersky software is protecting your system, and as long as real-time protection is enabled, it's checking your downloads. What aren't working are their browser add-ons.
Some of the vendors are quicker at providing updates for new versions of Firefox than others. For example, Kaspersky typically take several weeks, while Norton does it almost immediately. I think it's just their different philosophies about how to allocate their resources.
While the browser add-ons can be handy, I'm not sure whether they should be considered critical in your decision on which security software offers the best overall protection. Keeping your browsers and plug-ins up-to-date, avoiding suspicious email attachments and links, and not visiting sketchy websites are the top safety items in my opinion. Also, I run the NoScript extension.
