How PDFs open when clicked on is controlled by the user's settings. You can't use code to force them to display in-browser.
Check your IE security settings, especially if it's a local file that won't open. IE has some idiotic security settings when trying to open local files.
If the site has been uploaded and IE won't open the PDF, you will want to make sure you have the Acrobat plug-in installed and that it's set to be used from within IE's settings.

Layers don't appear properly inside table in Internet Explorer, but are fine in Firefox and Safari

How can I get layers that are inside tables that are
inside another layer to appear properly in Internet Explorer. It
works fine in Firefox and Safari on Mac and PC? The layers that are
causing the problems contain a table with an image and a caption,
so 2 cells. Then the layers are within a larger table that is
within a layer. I don't use IE (cause it is the bain of my
existence) but for a client they may want it to look good on all
browsers, even if it is IE 6 on a PC, maybe the browser version is
too old and I shouldn't worry about it? I know IE is not compliant
with web standards so is this the problem or is there a way to fix
the problem so it will look good in all the browers? The URL is

That is too broadly stated to be credible. Certainly IE6 has
its problems
but is highly compliant with most web standards. To be an

designer/developer one must have a working knowledge of IE's
deficiencies,
not just write it off as non-compliant. After all, it is
still used by some
70% or web users (based on W3C Schools data.)

Some emails blank when opened in yahoo but will open from trash

Most emails open but maybe once or twice a day when I open an email it is blank. These are just emails from friends that have messages that have been typed and sent. I can delete the email and then go to trash and they will open.

Frame won't open a file, but will open the MIF file. Has anyone seen this?

With FM 9, I have a 2-page landscape file. The first page is Adobe Illustrator *.ai art. The second page is text with a couple of JPGs. I was able to open the *.fm file for a long time, and then Frame started complaining and crashing. A friend can open it on her machine (64 bit, Windows 7) and made me a MIF file from it. I can open the MIF file just fine, but not the *.fm file. All art is imported by reference. Any ideas what is going on? My machine is 32 bit, Windows XP.

Most likely you are attempting to open a Numbers file created with the ner version using the previous version of Numbers.
Use the latest version (3.x) to open that file. You can tell them apart quickly by observing the icon in the dock (I actually keep both in my dock so I know which one I am using):

Unable to open certain apps (but WILL open using 'Show Package Contents' trick)

I have a number of apps lately that I've tried to install, but when I first click on them to use, they simply bounce on the dock for a minute or so, then quit out.
None of the apps are related, most are very minor, but the most familiar to everyone would be Google Chrome. After doing some searching of my own, I've been able to determine that the only way to open any of these apps is to right click on the app, go to 'Show Package Contents', 'Contents', 'MacOS', then double click on the 'Unix Executable File' (for this example 'Google Chrome'). They all work just fine if opened this way, but after closing any of them and then trying to open them again using the good 'ol double click, they just go back to bouncing on the dock and then quitting. I tried booting into 'Safe' mode, and after doing this the apps seem to open up just fine. So obvioulsy something is interfering with a select few apps on my system from working. I'm wondering if there is some simple command in Terminal I should be using that would easily clear up this issue (I've already tried a few of these that I've seen on other help sites, but don't remember them now unfortunately). I appreciate everyones help in advance! Thank you!!!

Clicking a .pdf link does not open .pdf file, it opens a SAVE DIALOG box

Recently when I click on a .pdf file link I am no longer able to open the file in a adobe reader either within a FIREFOX webpage or open it using the full adobe program. Instead it opens a SAVE dialog box requesting me to save to my harddrive. I am not sure what has happened and am trying to find someone who might know what is going on?

You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications".
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu.

Let me give you a slightly different perspective than everyone else here. You are using an unsecured wireless network, which means that all your network traffic is easily available for viewing by anyone else using that network. That's bad. Very bad, for you, unless you absolutely trust everyone who lives within range of this network. So stop doing it.
As to the Mac not connecting, wireless networking is simply too complex for any reasonable answer without more information. There are many possible error points, and as often as not it's the Mac that can connect and the Windows PC that cannot. Since you can't give us any information about the configuration of the neighbor's network, and can't make any changes to it, we can't do much to help you troubleshoot it.

Left click on any link in a web page does not open the link. A very small blue window appears with the word loading and a few moving dots. In a few seconds the blue window closes but the link does not open. Links used to open. If I right click the link, I can open the link in a new window. Many new windows pile up. This is a nuisance.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

I've been trying to remember my security questions for ages, and I can't seem to remember them. On my Apple ID I have changed my alternate email address because the previous one was deleted, but when I go on the "Password and Security" page on my Apple ID and there is a link saying "Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to ************@*******.com" but it is giving me my old email that does not match my current one on my Apple ID and no longer exists. I have been trying for very long to recover my security questions' answers, but Apple is not coping with me.
Has anyone been through this or knows how to help me?

I understand that when you click on Edit this task in the message bar in InfoPath 2010, nothing happens. Does this happen when you open the email which contains the ‘Edit this task’ link?
If so, you can try to check whether this key is in your regedit. If so, you can delete this key and have a test.:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
