PDF Link Download Issue

I have created an answer and have a column as a Link.When i try to download this report in PDF , i am getting the entire < a href > tag in the download .
How to avoid that

Also i have two columns with data like below :
A B
Test 21/10/2010
Test 22/10/2010
Test 23/10/2010
Test 24/10/2010
So in my report , it shows as
A B
21/10/2010
Test 22/10/2010
23/10/2010
24/10/2010
When i download in PDF , in all the four rows i get as Test in column A , but when i download in HTML its same as report ??

  • Pdf links & dropbox issues

    Hi ,
    I got this problem, some of my hyperlinks (downloadable pdf) are not displayed when i'm testing my site, the new window open but nothing happen
    I wonder, may be its because I've put them in my dropbox in first place ?
    I noticed dropbox link have issues to, link can't be downloaded
    How to do it , link pdf file properly ?
    Thanks

    You don't need to use Dropbox to host your PDFs for download, Muse will do this natively for you.
    >In Deisgn Mode click on the text image, etc thato you want to be your active link to download.
    > In the toolbar at the top of the page click the drop dowb menu next to "Hyperlinks"
    > Scroll down to "Files" section, then to "Link to File" and then navigate on your HD to where your PDF is. This then links that PDF up and when you upload your site to a testing site or to your server, the PDF will be included in the upload to then be downloaded by your users.

  • Anyone know why pdf links won't open? also- malware has hijacked the downloadable file available when clicking on Adobe's file:

    Changed OS to Mavericks & pdf links from websites won't open. I also had private browsing on  in safari.
    I have acrobat 10.1.10.  I tried to update it when prompted  by auto-updates and it said it can't because  the product has been changed since installed. that can only be the switch to mavericks osx. But it might have prompted me to get version 11 though I only have version 10 & I did the version 10 update in mid-Sept.
    Then, I tried going to adobe.com, searched "upda" and got a list of the cs items with icons, plus two text only links, one was acrobat for mac and the last one, "Update manager update (Mac OS)". It said it is to "resolve a common issue with Adobe Update manager on Mac OS". I cliucked that and got some bogus file. When I hit the button on adobe's site, it shows that the file name should be Adobeupdatemanager403.dmg or something very similar to that. Instead in the download list /box I got " installjdownloader.dmg"  I clicked it once & saw terms of service in which they will switch you to use only their search engine, serve ads, etc. So luckily I didn't install it.
    Does adobe need to investigate this malware problem? Others might search the way I did.
    Anyway, this all started because after installing mavericks, i can't open any pdfs from the web.
    Can anyone help me? Thank you very much in advance.

  • Can't download, save, or print pdf links on some webpages.

    On a couple, but not all, of my financial institutions webpages, I can't download the statements and save them as pdf.
    When I click the pdf link, a page opens showing the statement, but to see it all, one has to scroll the screen.  When I try to print it, by clicking File on the toolbar, the pulldown menu gives me only the option of Print Largest Frame which prints only what is visible on the screen in the window.  When I try to save by going to File, then Save As, a window opens for print options giving me two format choices: Page Source (html) or Web Archive, but no pdf.  The statements never download, nor open as pdf.
    What is odd, is that this issue is not common to all financial institutions.  On some, the statements read, load, save, and print as pdf just fine.
    I have updated the Adobe Reader, and all software on my Mac.
    Anybody, please help!

  • When I click on a .pdf link, I want to download it and display it in Foxit. How can I do that?

    I used to be able to click on a .pdf link and the .pdf file would open in Foxit Reader and be saved to my download folder.
    Now, I think since refreshing Firefox, clicking a .pdf link opens the .pdf in the Firefox browser.
    How can I get .pdf links to open the .pdf in Foxit Reader, and not open in the Firefox browser??

    Hello ririri, you have to set it correct in the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/applications-panel-set-how-firefox-handles-files application panel]. • PDF Link Not Working - Can't Isolate the Issue

    I have a unique issue I can't figure out. The trouble
    shooting I have done so far is this: (1) I've recreated my Topic
    several times using old topics that work, ones in version control,
    ones not in version control, blank ones, and even from scratch as a
    New Project. (2) I've recreated my Word Doc and PDF. (3) I've
    uninstalled Robo Help 5 and reinstalled it. (4) I've uninstalled
    then reinstalled Adobe. (5) I've uninstalled then reinstalled MS
    Office. After reinstalling all of the above, I created the Topic
    yet another time.
    I took an existing Project which was initially created in v4
    with a PDF Link created in Word then converted to a PDF in Word.
    This topic was not in version control and I copied it onto my Local
    Drive. From my Local Drive, I modified the Topic to include all of
    my new information. I left the original PDF Link, however, to test
    it. Here are the results:
    A) The original PDF Link still operates just fine. It
    launches the PDF with no problem.
    B) The new PDF Links I am trying to create refuse to work no
    matter what I do. WHY? When I click on the PDF Link in my compiled
    CHM, I get an Internet Explorer Window with an error that the "Page
    cannot be displayed". I have tried this on a network drive and on a
    local drive.
    Are there any ideas or suggestions? Linking a PDF does not
    require rocket science. I have done dozens of them over the past
    couple years and never had this issue. All of my other hyperlinks
    are working just fine (ie to external CHMs) - just not to PDF or
    DOC files.
    1 thing I did notice which is why I uninstalled then
    reinstalled everything: I found the new option inside Word of
    ROBOPDF, and that is what I initially used. When I noticed a
    coworker did things differently, I decided to delete that,
    reinstall it all, then created the PDF the old way through the PDF
    Maker toolbar in Word. I got the same results.

  • .pdf link issues

    Hi,
    I upload my site via Filezilla and something is wrong with some of the pdf link i get this error when testing and wanting to download them
    Not Found
    The requested URL /assets/name-of-my-pdf.pdf was not found on this server.
    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    My hierarchy in Filezilla goes like this :
    what's wrong?
    thx

    Did you remember to upload the PDF file while still in Muse (so it shows in assets list) so it was uploaded with everything else, although this should be automatic (unless your link is in an HTML object)? Have you confirmed that the assets folder contains the file - and that it has exactly the same filename and filetype as the link says (some others have seen the filetype being taken off in some cases)? • External PDF links in Internet Explorer - PDF/A issue?

    Hi,
    I am having an issue with certain links within PDFs not working when the PDF is being viewed with IE.  I have created external PDF links using the Go to a Page View linking feature within Acrobat and then opening an external PDF file and setting the link.  The extrernal links work fine when viewing the PDFs within Acrobat, however when I view the PDFs within IE the external links do not work.  I am running Acrobat 9.3 and IE 8.
    I know there is an issue with PDF/A disabling external PDF links, is it possible that IE always displays PDFs in PDF/A mode, even though I have set PDF/A View Mode to never within Acrobat?  Also, I do not remember this being an issue in earlier releases of Acrobat 9, however I am supporting a large group of people that have already updated to Acrobat 9.3 and would hate to have to roll them back. Any ideas as to a possible solution would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Randy

  • PDF link issue in Dreamweaver

    Clicking on PDF links in Dreamweaver brings up an Adobe PDF error that says: "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat. If it is running, please exit and try again. (1:1)". We tried reinstalling to the latest version of Acrobat X but the error continues.
    We thought this was an Acrobat error, however PDFs function normally so long as they are not called out from Dreamweaver. We have tried reinstalling Dreamweaver with no luck as well.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Machine is Windows 7 with Dreamweaver CS5 v6 and Acrobat X.

    OK, why do you want to preview/open a PDF from within Dreamweaver?
    Added new content which includes the pdf link to my web page and need to ensure the link works before going live with the web page.
    You should be able to do so while in Live View, but I would not expect this to work in just Design View in any version of Dreamweaver.
    Before received Dreamweaver upgrade, I previewed the web page in the web browser and clicked the links on page to verify if worked and no problem. I should be able to continue to do so now.
    If you are just trying to test out what the experience would be like for the visitors to your website, then you should be doing so in a web browser. e.g. use Preview In Browser from Dreamweaver, then click the link for the PDF from within your browser.
    I agree, as previously stated, this is what I'm doing and it's not working......the pdf file does not open.

  • Bug:Unable to open a pdf link using Acrobat Reader 9.3.4

    When I open pdf links in IE I get the error message
    "Your current security setting does not allow this file to be downloaded."
    I have added the site to trusted sites without luck.
    I also followed the link http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/328/328233.html
    I have been able to access these links with 8.x versions. of Adobe Reader.
    For example when I try to get the IRS 1040 form
    http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040.pdf?portlet=3
    I get the error message mentioned above.
    Now more  This is running on a Windows 2003 32 bit server.  I use Citrix XenApp to publish IE.  I have used 7 users to test. Two have an issue.  Four and the admin do not.  There is nothing in the Event log regarding this issue.  I am not sure how to enable debugging within the reader.
    I would appreciate any assistance to troubleshoot this issue.
    Thank you.

    As you discovered, Adobe Acrobat/Pro/Reader v.9 will crash for all managed user accounts that store their home folders on the server because it has "difficulty" reading and writing to a folder across a network, which is why it crashes shortly after it launches.
    HOWEVER, there is hope. All you need to do is tell Adobe to write all of its files to the local drive rather than the home folder on the sharepoint, as follows:
    While logged into your network-user account:
    1. Go to the "Shared" folder on the local drive. (Local HD > Users > Shared)
    2. Create a new folder named "9.0_x86" if you have an Intel or "9.0_ppc" if you have a PPC (without the quotes for either case). You will have to authenticate as an Administrator.
    3. Go to the Acrobat folder within the user's Application Support and delete the folder in it.
    (Home > Library > Application Support > Adobe > Acrobat > 9.0_x86 or 9.0_ppc)
    4. Open/launch the Terminal application found within the Utilities folder on you Mac.
    (Applications > Utilities > Terminal.app)
    5. In Terminal, enter the 1st command for Intel or the 2nd for PPC:
    ln -s /Users/Shared/9.0_x86 ~/Library/Application \Support/Adobe/Acrobat/9.0_x86
    OR
    ln -s /Users/Shared/9.0_ppc ~/Library/Application \Support/Adobe/Acrobat/9.0_ppc
    Adobe Acrobat 9 should now work properly. You may get the "quit unexpectedly" error message the first time you quit the application, but should only happen the one time.
    On a side note, the print spool is slow when printing very large multi-paged PDFs.
    This is a fix I found in 2009 by Dennis, can't remember where though.

  • Error while opening PDF file downloaded  from database Blob column

    Hi All,
    I am working on jdev 11.1.1.4.0.
    In my use-case I am using filedownload Actionlistner on a link to get the PDF file stored in the database in blob field. These files are being uploaded from other use-case in adf only.
    After getting the dialog box to open/save/cancel for the PDF file when i click on open then i am getting an error *'Adobe Reader could not open 'abc.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type*
    or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly docoded)' for some files , and to my surprise I am able to open some files.
    When I open these PDF files separately from desktop I am able to view the content of each and every file in adobe reader.
    I dont know where the problem exactly lies , while uploading/downloading the file . Any ideas/thoughts to resolve this issue?
    Thanks
    Kanika

    Thanks a lot Timo...!!!
    I checked the PDF file downloaded directly from the blob column in DB, there only it is corrupted so must be the problem in uploading the file. I am checking the code line by line,, but no problem in setting the file content type,size etc.
    Here is the code snippet ..
    byte[] buff;
    buff = new byte[(int)length]; -- Length is the file size
    int bytesRead = is.read(buff);
    for (int i = 0; bytesRead < buff.length; i++) {
    // int b = is.read();
    int b = is.read();
    if (b == -1)
    break;
    buff[i] = (byte)b;
    BlobDomain blobDomian = new BlobDomain((buff));
    TestVORow = (TestVORow Impl)TestVO.createRow();
    if(blobDomian != null) {
    TestVORow.setAttachment(blobDomian);
    am.getTransaction().commit();
    This seems to be Ok to me..the same issue, file is still corrupting.
    Any thoughts from your side ???
    Thanks
    Kanika
    The problem is resolved.
    Changes made are instead of
    InputStream is;
    used ... BufferedInputStream bis ;
    and after
    for (int i = 0; bytesRead < buff.length; i++) {
    // int b = bis.read();
    int b = bis.read();
    if (b == -1)
    break;
    buff[i] = (byte)b;
    bis.close(); // use this close bufferedInput Stream.
    Able to open each and every file now..Thanks for your suggestions Timo and Frank.

  • PDF Multiparts/byteranges issue

    Hi All,
    I have issues downloading large PDF files (greater than ~ 1 mb) that I publish in the Portal.  I can 'save' the PDF to my local computer, but when I choose open, it seems that the PDF file is downloaded in multiple parts (the first mime type is application/pdf, the second one is multiparts/byteranges).  How do I change the KM configuration (irj/go/km) to disable the option to download PDF in multiple parts?
    Thanks,
    Johannes

    Hi,
    I just click on the PDF link which is published using web page composer, and the PDF does not open.  When I use Save Target As... it downloads succesfully.
    I think what happen is that, the large PDF file is divided into parts when downloaded.  I trace it and the first part seems to be having application/pdf mime type, the second one is multipart/byteranges.  I suspect that when the first part with application/pdf is downloaded, the pdf program tries to open that first part which fail because only one part of two was downloaded.
    The first part downloaded has this header:

  • Problem opening online PDF link/file

    Every time I try to open a PDF link, I get an error message saying it's not opening because it's either not a supported file type or it's damaged. I have tried opening it with Google chrome and Mozilla Firefox to no avail. I also considered whether or not I had the wrong Adobe Reader version but I believe it's up-to-date. If anyone could shed some light on this issue, I'd be very grateful.
