PDF Maker Icon on Office 2013 Ribbon

XI Pro installed. Windows 7 64 bit. Trying to get PDF Maker Icon on Office 2013 ribbon. In Add-ins, PDFMaker is an active ofifce Com add-in.

The pdfmaker plugin does not get enabled with the base version 11.0

PDF Maker icons ("Acrobat (8 Pro) ribbon") missing Outlook 2007 Win XP

Hi. I have Acrobat 8 Pro and Outlook 2007 (not Outlook Express) on Win XP patched current, and the PDF Maker icons ("Acrobat ribbon") is missing from my Outlook Mail window.
Acrobat Create PDF is in the Menu in Word 2007 and works fine there.
I have followed all the instructions in

except Acrobat Repair or re-installing Acrobat (or Registry edit which is clearly not called for as the dll is already Active), and still no joy. Still, it fails to appear in my drop-list of Toolbars, therefore I cannot fix the problem myself because the standard answer (choose that Toolbar) is not available on my workstation.
====> Do you recommend un-installing and re-installing? If yes, are you saying there is no risk I will make matters worse? Is there instead some way for me to determine what is actually wrong?

Tried from another computer with XP and 8 Pro still didn't work so tried from a Win7 machine with adobe X standard and it worked everytime. Just ordered the upgrade because their time is more valuable than the cost.

Office 2010 : PDF Maker Pane is missing in ribbon

Hi,
After upgrading from MICROSOFT Office 2007 to 2010, I notice that PDF Maker is missing in Office Ribbon.
I tried Repairing & Reinstalling ADOBE Acrobat 9.0 (+ Update to 9.3.2) but still the same problem.
Another try :
Fresh install of Windows XP SP3 + Office 2010 Pro + Acrobat 9.0 + Acrobat Update to 9.2.0 + Acrobat Update to 9.3.2
Same Problem
COM Addin is active but PDF Maker Pane is missing in Office 2010 Ribbon.
I tried soluce in article 330984 (kb) but without success.
... so is Acrobat PDF Maker Addin is compatible with Office 2010 Pro (Word, Excel, ...) ?
Is there a fix or should I wait next patch from ADOBE ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've updated my Acrobat to 9.3.4, rebooted my system, I see the Add-in under Options> Add-ins> Active Application Add-ins and can choose it under COM Add-Ins. BUT it does NOT show up in the Menu Bar of the Program Word, Excel, etc. No Tab, No nothing. Its still doesn't work.
Does anyone have a trick to reactivate it somehow?
AND by the way, YOU CAN select Save-As and Select PDF and it works JUST fine! I just did it.
Also, as fix for all of you that say we are whining about not having the PDF maker "QUICK" links in the menu-bar, YES you can click File>Print and choose PDF to print to as well.
It would just be nice to have a ONE-CLICK option back.

SO, to RECAP... you can do the Two or Three Click options of PRINT and choose PDF or you can do SAVE-AS and choose PDF.... BUT again it would be nice to have a working ONE Click option. Thank you again

Office 2013 : Ribbon some commands are not available

Sometimes, in excel or others applications, we have some issues regarding ribbon : commands are not functional !
We must close office applications to get back to a normal state.
We did a migration from Office 2007 to Office 2013.

First, please make sure your Office program is fully patched.
If you installed any third-part program that is integrated to Microsoft Office, please temporarily disable the integration to check the result. Also try to disable all add-ins in Office programs to check the result.
In addition, please try to run a repair of your Office installation and then test the issue again:

Are you also virtualizing Office 2013?
Are they in separate packages from Office 2013? I think the packages are only supported if they're in a single package.
Test by creating an Office 2013 package with Project and Visio and see whether that activates successfully.

Different margins in PDF after upgrade to Office 2013

Hi,
I moved from Windows XP and Office 2000 to Windows 7 and Office 2013. In both cases I used Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (Adobe printer) for creation of PDF from Excel.
Why are PDF files created from Excel 2013 with different margins in comparission with Excel 2000? On preview they looks same on both computers but after printing via same Adobe printer (AA 9 pro) output is slightly different.

One issue might be due to the Acrobat 9.x product family not being coded for support of Office 2013.
As well Acrobat 9's support for Windows 7 was (I've thought) somewhat dicey.
Understandable as the Acrobat 9.x product family was headed for end of life/support when Win 7 came out.
As of June 2013 the Acrobat 9.x product family passed into end of life / end of support.
So, if you are in a contemporary OS and MS Office suite you may want to consider moving into Acrobat XI.

How to remove PDF Maker toolbars from Office/Word/Outlook ??

Cannot find a solution for this anywhere:
Using:
- CS 3 Design Suite with Acrobat installed (going to Control Panel > Add/Remove/Change CS3, no options available for Acrobat, only install/re-install)
- Office 2003.
The annoying toolbar appears in Outlook and Word, tried registry hacks, 'Templates & Add-ins' (no option to uncheck PDF Maker).
Can't get rid of it.
Any help?

You go back to the repair and remove the PDF Maker option in the install. Basically to not get that option on install, you would have done a custom install and disabled PDF Maker. Unless you are really super annoyed, I would suggest you just leave them there as it is likely that in the future you will want them to be able to transfer links, bookmarks, and such (it is needed for that functionality).

PDF maker not working - Office 2007

I have acrobat standard 8.1 with office 2007. When I try to right click an office document and choose create PDF it crashes. I can perform this task with a notepad document, so it must be something to do with office. I have another PC same spec, same software and it is working ok.
I have tried a repair on both office and acrobat, and uninstalling and reinstalling the software. checking that the add in is enabled in office.....kinda stuck what to try next. The file print and choosing the pdf printer is working. Any ideas ?

All I can tell you with AA8 is that if it prints to the Adobe PDF printer, then there is an issue with the plug-in macro for PDF Maker. Through AA8, PDF Maker was simply a preprocessor for the Adobe PDF printer. All I can suggest is to go through and check the various settings in PDF Maker. You might log the settings you have and then turn basically everything off in PDF Maker to give as simple a process as possible and see if it works. If so, then add things one at a time. In fact, you might first try to turn off tags or check the option for a small file (you did not indicate file size). Tags and some of the other items bloat the PDF a fair amount and require a lot of space in the TEMP folder that may be too full (this folder is limited in size and is not an issue of the size of your harddrive).

No PDF maker icon in Power point after installation

I have a Acrobat Professional version 8.10. It was functioning fine in all the microsoft office program ie: word, excel and power points earlier but yesterday the computer hang and I can't seen to find the PDF icon in the power point. I tried to reinstall the adobe program again but yet not successful. how to fix this?
The rest of my program ie: word and excel are functioning fine.

PDF Maker not shown in excel 2013 ribbon

I have got Windows 7 64-bit. I have excel 2013 installed on it. I have recently installed every version of adobe acrobat reader but when i open excel I cant see the PDF Maker add-in in the ribbon.
I have checked it in COM-Add ins list and it is being marked checked. But its not showing up. I have currently installed version 11 of adobe acrobat XI Pro. But issue remains same.
I have searched on google.com a lot but did not find anything.
Can anyone help?

You have to do the updates to AA XI before the ribbon comes up in OFFICE. OFFICE 2013 came out after AA XI and the updates addressed the fixes.

Office 7 and PDF maker

My lovely IT department have upgraded my office to version 7 (Yuk). Anyway, the acrobar PDFmaker has now dissapeared as a function. I have downloaded the office plug in for saving and printing to PDF but it is different. Previously on the PDF maker button in office 2003 you could choose which sheets within a workbook you wanted to convert. Now I have to choose the whole workbook or just one page. It is not as easy.....so I have serached adobe and cannot find how to re-install pdf maker when you change your office. I have acrobat 8. PLEASE can anyone help or am I stuck with this less efficient tool?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am sure it is easy as pie to remedy!

You need to do an update to AA8. The original AA8 did not work with OFFICE 7 as far as PDF Maker was concerned. The updates resolve the issue. If you still have problems, then it may be that you have PDF Maker blocked by OFFICE 2007.

Office 2013 Upload Center do not display in notification area

Hello,
I am wanting to hide the Upload centre system task tray icon for Office 2013 on all of our pc's in my organisation, I have found many articles on disabling the service from starting, but this is not my intention.
Instead I wish to use either a registry setting (that I'll set in either the OCT or GPP), an option in the 2013 OCT tool or a setting in the Office 2013 group policy templates to just untick the box that says "Display icon in notification area"
which will still allow the Upload Center to work and be launched from the start menu but will free up Task Tray real estate.
If anyone knows what registry setting will do this that would be great, ideally a machine based setting so I can include it with the OCT, however if it is a user setting I will use Group Policy Preferences to deploy it.

Value:DisableNotificationIcon
If the value is set to 1, the icon is not displayed; if the value is set to 0, the icon is displayed.

Acrobat PDF Makerの不具合?

今現在、以下の状況で使用しています。
Mac 10.5
Acrobat 7.0 Pro
Illustrator CS2
MS Office:Mac
さて今回の相談は、上記のアプリケーションにてPDFファイルの作成を試みましたがうまくいきませんでしたので、問題点もしくは改善策を教えていただきたく思います。
　まずイラレの場合、［ファイル］／［別名で保存］を選択しダイアログボックスにてファイル形式をPDFに選択すれば問題なく作成できるのですが、［ファイル］／［プリント］でAdobe PDFプリンタ（仮想プリンタ）を選択し実行しても作成できませんでした。というのも、プリントキューを開きモニターしているとジョブが常に一時停止の状態なのがわかります。［ジョブの再開］ボタンを押してもすぐに停止に切り替わります。従ってジョブが完了されません。
　またOffice Wordでドキュメントを作成し、一発で作成できる［PDFに変換］ボタンを押します。すると自動的に仮想プリンタのAcrobat PDF Makerが立ち上がりますが、これも完了できず進捗状況９０％のところでアイドリングが続きます。
　いずれの症状を鑑みても仮想プリンタに不具合があるのではないかと自分では思ってしまっているのですがいかがでしょうか。それともそもそもMac OS 10.5とAcrobat 7.0 Proとの組み合わせがまずいのでしょうか。自分では判断がつきかねます。どうかご教示願います。

Illustrator のファイル保存でPDF形式を選んでPDF化する機能は、llustratorが単体で持っている機能であってAcrobatとは無関係のはず。
llustrator単体のヘルプにPDF保存の方法が書かれているのでは？ヘルプで調べることはしていますか？

IllustratorのPDF保存化機能はAdobe PDF Libraryで実現されているはず。作成されたPDF文書のプロパティを見れば、それがわかる。
InDesign なども単体でPDF化機能をもっている。

おそらくは、最近のMacではOSレベルでPDF化機能があるので、基本機能を提供するStandard版の需要はないとAdobeは判断したのであろう。

PDF-Maker launched from Outlook 2003 hangs suddenly

Hi there,
we have problems with the PDF-Maker plugin for office. The PDF-Printer itself is working, but when I try to convert an email to PDF the PDF-Maker window opens with the message "Adobe PDF wird erstellt" which means "Adobe PDF is being created", and nothing happes. The progress bar doesnt move, but also there is no error message raised, the window just stands there for several hours.
The affected users are all running CS4 Standard or Premium, and all of them told me that the problem didn't exist from the beginning, but started only ~ 10 days ago.
Has anybody an idea what the problem could be ? I even un- and reinstalled the complete CS4 suite on a machine, this did not help.

Hello everybody,
I am not quite thrilled by the idea of uninstalling a Microsoft patch in order to use this add-on. Leaving a known vulnerability unpatched at the expense of using an application feature is not my sense of complete security.
Is Adobe aware of the situation? Is there a fix available from Adobe? How can we engage Adobe on this?
