Pdf multimedia in android

Hi,
I am creating a PDF interactive, The pdf contains text, images, audio and video and must be shown in pc machines and Tablet Devices (Android and Ios)
I have tryed to export from indesign cs5 directly to PDF interactive. It works fine for Pc machines in Adobe Reader but it does not work for Ipad.(The interactive buttons are missing)
I have not tried in Android.
Is there any solution or any way to create a unique PDF Multimedia for all systems??? (Windows, OS, Android, and iOS)
In case that is not posible, a second alternative woud be o have a PDF multimedia for Windows and Android,
thanks

Interesting read, seems like a resonable article.
I'd like to see a total switch to HTML 5.
And I'd love for flash to work without having to patch it every two or three days And I'd Love to be able to go a 100% flash site with out having to Restart the computer after the System Freezes. If I had the same issues on iPad. I would fling it over the RailRoad fortunately I don't have to.
I don't know which is worse. Proprietry systems where the main goal is how much money can be stuffed in the BOD and CEO's Pockets and no regard to the people that purchase the software. Or Open source in which the developers only goal is beating their chest. Saying I am the greates, with no regard for the User.
The number one goal, or Object in Business is Server the User/Customer. Regardless of how much pie in the sky you can think of If the user/customers odon't use it you've wasted everyone's time. Inovation just for the sake of saying see what I have done. is Useless.

  • Interactive PDF form on Android, can I make a form field to open camera and use photo in field?

If I have an interactive PDF form on Android, is there any way to make a form field that will open the camera and insert the photo in the field?

One alternative would be to create a web form in FormsCentral and use the attachment feature.

  • PDF Files in Android

    Hi,
Firstly would like to say that the last update for DPS was good as it now supports PDF article in Android devices.
For having PDF files to be loaded in iOS, we could use the HTMLResource method.
But we faced a little problem as we are trying to fit in more than 150 pages of financial documents into the app itself as HTMLResource doesn't work in Android.
It would be a problem if we were to create 150 articles just to have those financial documents into the app.
Is there any other way for us to put in a PDF file without doing article layouts?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
currently the Android viewer doesn't support PDF files via HTMLresource file.

    Hello,

  • How to open a native PDF file in Android using AIR?

Hello.I have created a flex mobile project to open and show a native PDF file in Android. I have tried three different methods below , but  I failed.
    1. I created a stagewebview and used "stageWebView.loadURL". I can see the PDF View in emulator but it didn't work in Android Pad (SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab 10.1). It showed blank screen.
Note that I have installed AIR 3.3.
    stageWebView1.loadURL(new File(new File("app:/assets/ZUGH-2P.pdf").nativePath).url);
    2. I created a stagewebview and used stagewebview to load javascript. The javascript could run in emulator, but it didn't work in Android Pad. I failed again.
    stageWebView1.loadURL(new File(new File("app:/assets/JavaScripthtml.html").nativePath).url);
    3.  I imported stagewebviewbridge, which is the extended version of stagewebviewbridge. I created a stagewebviewbridge , but it could not run in emulator. I failed again.
    stageWebViewbridge1.loadLocalURL( "appfile:/assets/pdf.html");
could any one give me some suggestions? Many thanks.

    @peterpan_cafuc,
Sorry to say that I'm not sure of the answer, either.
One suggestion would be to try something like File.openWithDefaultApplication(), although I've never tried it on mobile.
Also, I poked around stackoverflow, and it looks like people have done this using Android Intents, but you might have to use a Native Extension  to do this in AIR.
Apologies that I can't be more helpful.

  • PDF-stacks on Android and web viewer?

When is Android Viewer going to support PDF-stacks? When it happens, the ipad-folios can be recycled on Android-tabs, and the iphone-folios on android phones.
And what about the web viewer? We would love using the sharing-functionality, but the lack of pdf-support will force us to use png instead of pdf.
Any chanche of solving this soon?

The unavailabilty of PDF support in Android is the only reason we do not publish to Android devices. Most of our customers are not ready to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to re-author a print layout for a digital device. Makes a lot more commercial sense to just publish the print layout to digital for now. That works fine on iOS because we can publish as PDF and readers can Pan & Zoom the content. With no DPS PDF support for Android you end up with an un-zoomable page which is frankly unreadable.

  • Unable view pdf AR for Android... OK on PC

Using Adobe Reader 9.3.2 on Win7 PC a PDF views fine...
On Droid Incredible Android phone,  Same file stored on SD card opens but shows only white pages,
no text.    Other PDFs open on Android.
The problem file is a large 399 page book 1.21 MB in size.
It is a somewhat protected file that only allows "printing" and "content copy for accessability"
all other fields are  "Not Allowed" on "Document Restrictions Summary"
Is there something that needs to be "Allowed" so that this can be viewed on an Android Phone
with the Android Adobe Reader and yet still protect the PDF?
The application for problem PDF is  PScript5.dll Version 5.2.2  /  Acrobat Distiller 9.3.2 (windows)  PDF v 1.6 Acrobat 7.x)
The Android Adobe Reader is Version 9.0.1  Build 32116
    Thanks

I am having the same problem... Bump!

  • How to rename a pdf file on android 4.0

how to rename a pdf file on android 4.0

If you have the latest version of Adobe Reader, you can go to Documents, make sure that the view is set to "Folder View". Navigate to see the file you want to rename, and then you can use the "manage" button to go into a mode to select the file you want to rename, then tap the "rename" icon, which looks like a text cursor.

  • Saving fillable PDF file in Android Adobe Reader Mobile Application

I'll do my best to explain my situation.
    1. I open the fill-able PDF file from Google Drive with Android Adobe Reader Mobile Application.
    2. I fill out the pdf form using the Android Adobe Reader Mobile Application.
    3. Once I'm done filling-in the PDF, I would like to save the file in a specific folder in Google Drive.
I cannot find any saving option within the Android Adobe Reader Mobile Application.
The only way around saving was the "Sharing" feature.  It allows the user to share the pdf file using various android applications such as Google Drive, Email, and Evernote to share the file.
This does not allow for overwriting of the original file.  Therefore, you will create a new file every time you share the file.
I wanted to know if there was a way to save the file under the same name to overwrite the same file in the Android Mobile version.
    Thanks in advance.

You need to duplicate(and/or rename) it first (after finding it in the "Documents"  menu tab), then fill it out. This is the workaround for the missing Save/Save as menu. Once you fill out something, and leave the application, the document will be saved automatically.

  • Saving a populated PDF on an Android device.

I have had a a populatable PDF created for me in Acrobat Pro. I can populate it on an Android tablet, but unlike a PC I cannot save it and the data as a new file. What do I need to do?

What is your App ID? You can get the problem you're describing if you are making a new app that has the same ID as an existing app, but has a different certificate. Either use a different App ID, or track down the existing app with the ID you want to use, and remove it from the device before testing the new app.

  • Pdf created for android

I use manuals to work from. They are supplied from a company and work on a pc. You start with a navigation page that takes you to the relevant manual. It works with ghostscript but does not work on an Android device. I can read the pdf's and navigate within a document but not to another. Can someone help please?

Actually, you can usually find the software used to make a PDF for free. In Adobe Reader on Windows or Mac use File > Properties. Under "Description" look at BOTH PDF producer and Application.
I suspect you aren't going to be in a position to find out enough about how these PDFs work for us to make any suggestion about them, and in any case it would probably require a global change to how they were made to remedy things. The tablet Readers have many limitations.
