PDF on IPad3

I cannot see PDF files on my Ipad3 when in webvista.  I can see the first page and part of the second page, but cannot scroll down. Any ideas

It looks like webvista is a content management system.
Are you viewing the PDF in Safari or in Adobe Reader? If you are viewing it in safari, please try tapping on the document and choosing the "open in" button in the safari toolbar. This will allow you to open it in Adobe Reader if you've installed the Adobe Reader application.

  • I have a pdf file attached to email inbox for ipad3.  I also have an neu.Annotate  app for pdf.  Can anyone tell me how to open my pdf through neu.Annotate and save the file?

How do I save the pdf on ipad3?  How can I view the fiel from neu.Annotate so that I could do the editing from the app?

If the PDF isn't already downloaded in the email then you should be able to do so by tapping on it.
If the PDF is open within the body of the email then press and hold it and after a second or so you should get a 'Open In' pop-up; otherwise (e.g. the PDF opens into a separate screen) then tap the PDF and you should get an icon top right of a box with an arrow coming out of it - tap that and you'll get the 'Open In' option

  • Single App for IPad3

    Hello,
I have some questions reg. the preparation of a Single App for iPad3/Apple submission.
1.) The slightshow images look super pixelated in iPad3 after rendering the issue. I guess that is for the resampling on overlays. Now, is there any way to prepare the slightshow images so they look good on all devices?
2.) On a previous post you were talking about looking into providing renditions on single app issues too - will this feature be available any time soon?
3.) Would a custom html/javascript slightshow be an alternative to have higher res slightshow images - meaning will the images on an html overlay be passed through or resampled?
4.) I have read that a number of people had issues submitting a single app to Apple and were rejected if they did not have enough interactivity involved. We dont want to insert interactivity just for the sake of it and try to publish the app in the way that it is now (Just featuring one particular interactive elements and slideshows). Now, in case our publication should be rejected with Apple and we have bought the Single Folio License, will we be able to have it refunded within the 30 days return policy period?
Would be super grateful for your help.
    Thanks,
    Sabine

    1) What dimensions did you specify when creating the folio in Folio Builder? You should use 2048x1536. Then ensure your images are high-resolution when inserted into InDesign and they will automatically scale to the right size and look good.
    2) We are still investigating how to support this.
    3) It won't make a difference. You still have to provide assets that are high-resolution to start with. As long as you create your folio at the size I mention in #1, you should be fine.
    4) I don't know the answer to this.

  • Can I create an iPad3 'rendition' with Creative Cloud DPS Version?

I'm preparing my first publication with DPS, and before I get too far along and spend too much time with image resolution, I want to confirm that I can create a separate rendition for the iPad 3, using the DPS that comes with Creative Cloud. I rember reading in the past that the rendition feature was not available with this version, but I want to take advantage of creating a separate rendition of my document for the iPad 3 as outlined in Colin Fleming's  DPS_iPad3_bestpractice.pdf, if at all possible.

Bob, just to clarify, the techniques mentioned in the article you linked to, as well as the best practices mentioned here: http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/digitalpublishingsuit e/pdfs/dps-ipad3-bestpractice-apr2012.pdf - they are applicable to the version of DPS included with the Creative Cloud membership?

Not to repaet myself, but... where are my ebooks?
I sync-ed iTunes 10.6.3.25 on Win7 with new iPad3 WiFi/3G and iTunes shows (on my PC) that I have 590 "ebooks" (PDF's & a few epub's) on my iPad, but for the life of me I can't seem to get to them on the iPad3 itself. If I open iTunes on the iPad3 it only shows a bland grey screen with a link to the "iTunes Stores Terms and Conditions…"? And my iBooks is empty, so is Acrobat Reader which I installed?
    What gives? Gulp… help!?

    That is troubling!
I downloaded the Kindle app on my iPad1 tonight, logged into my Amazon.com account and was able to download the books I had bought on my Kindle to my iPad!  I am a VERY HAPPY CAMPER!

How do i get both my IPAD devices to display the PDF icons/attachments? Bearing in mind if i open the same email over the internet the PDF Icons/attachments display OK!
Has anyone come across this? Your advice/help would be most appreciated

This happens to me all the time.
If is a one page PDF it seems as though it comes over already open and inline in the body of the email. Multiple page PDF files show as the PDF icon.
I can't find any official documentation of this - other than based on my own experience with PDF attachments in my various email accounts.

  • How read my custom PDF files in IPAD3?

I recently sync my own PDF files from mi PC to my IPAD3 using Itunes. I can see them with iBooks app, but with the Adobe PDF Reader I cann't see it... Where are my PDF files?

For PDFs, it's better to use Dropbox instead of icloud.
If you want to use icloud, you'd have to use itunes's app tab and drag the pdf file to the right panel after highlighting iBooks.  A pain.
For Dropbox: On the iOS device, use GoodReader to access the file(s).
If you are just trying to store a pdf on icloud as storage, than getting the pdf to icloud and then back to your mac involves drag and drop both ways using itunes.  Again, use Dropbox instead.

  • I'm trying to find the pdf files that I downloaded on my ipad3.

i downloaded from tpt--a teaching website. i am sure they downloaded because a yellow bar appeared across the top of my screen. i have both acrobat reader and ibooks but the files are not there....

You have to manually save the files into one of this apps when you download a PDF from Safari. You can tap and hold down on the open PDF file when it is on the screen and a button pops up - the Open In button. You have to select the app that you want to save the file into. There should be a button in the upper right corner of the open PDF than says Open In. If you do not see it - tap on the screen while the PDF is opened and it should appear.

  • Ipad3's ibook's pdf aren't synced to ipod touch 4g

Hello there, I have the iPad 3 and I have the iCloud enabled. Everything in the first page of the iCloud control panel is checked
So are Storage & Backup > Manage Storage > My iPad >  Backup Options >> iBooks all turned ON
Same thing with my iPod Touch 4G's iCloud setttings
I have ample space for the few 10's megabytes of PDF
Yet, I expected that when I drag and drop a PDF on my Mac Lion onto the iPad in iTunes, after a few moments, my iPod Touch will have the PDF's as well. It's been a day now and none of the PDF's are synced to the iPod Touch 4G. The PDFs do show up on the iPad.
iOS is updated to the latest on both devices. Both have ample storage on board and I have ample storage on iCloud. Any ideas?

    Hiya,
    Thanks for your help.
I imported the cd's into an older version of iTunes (using from version 8.6 something onwards if i recall correctly) as I've been using it for a while despite just buying an ipod. The cd's are currently playing ok and ahve played in other versions too.

  • HT4356 How do you conver a Page document to PDF when there is no printer available

I purchased a $400 printer last year..now I cannot use it with my IPAD3 because it has to be an Air Print printer.
I need to convert my Page document to PDF and the only way to do that is to go to Print a document...but, when
I get there it tells me that I don't have a printer...Therefore, I cannot get to PDF conversion...
I thought Apple have an incredible group of smart software engineers  ...what happened?
Now, I have to go and buy another $400 printer to be able to convert a document to PDF?
I bought this IPAD3 for my wife since she is not a computer expert but, so far I see that this is a  product more compicated than a personal computer.
The hardware is great but,  so far my wife has a hard time to use the Apps I got for this IPAD...I'm a software programmer working for a major computer company and I also have a hard time trying to get these functions to work...

Under "Share and Print", tap "Email Document", then choose PDF. Alternately, tap "Sent to iTunes", "Copy to iDisk", or "Copy to WebDAV" and then choose PDF...

  • Problem with URL in PDF

    Hi all
I have a stange problem using my iPad (actually was tested on original iPad, iPad2, iPad3)
I have a PDF documents that was sended to me. Inside a lot of pages and hyperlinks. Some of them are refers to website and some used for navigation inside documents. None of them are working. Simply not tapable. On iPhone - navigation inside of document is working, bot links to website does not. Tested same file on windows7 PC - all is working.
    Any ideas why?
UPD: try it on Android - same problem

Many thanks for the very detailed instructions.
However, I'm opening this in Adobe Reader — I wouldn't expect that the people I'm sending this to would have or know how to use Adobe Acrobat.
I did open it in Acrobat Professional and it asked me if I wanted to allow the connection — when I clicked yes, it went to the website. BTW, it's a link to allow people to download Adobe Reader — it's very annoying that this PDF won't open properly and play the video in Quicktime player on the Mac (which is what all of the people I'll send this to are using).
So your thought was right on the money, but it still doesn't work in Adobe Reader, which is the only way anyone can read this document.  Ironic that the only link I really need is one for them to obtain Adobe Reader and yet, Adobe Reader won't allow them to use the link!

  • How to print from Ipad3 on HP Envy 110 mobile out in the field?

I have bought an Ipad3 and a HP Envy 110, in order to be able to print PDF document mobile, having the printer in my car,  so I don't want to use a WiFi network. How do I get it working? If I just put power on the printer, the IPad doesn't "see" the printer. Who knows what to do? Thanks in avance, Peter

If the ad hoc printer mode is not available for the envy, there are some reasonably cheap ways to get a wifi network in your car.   A cheap router from best but will generate the wifi network.  Does not matter if you have Internet or not.  A ifi device will also work, and most/ all of them run on batteries.  Lastly, if you have a smart phone or I phone that generates a wifi hotspot, that may be enough to support the printing function.  ( I need to test my I phone later today to see if that works.)

  • HT1386 After last syncing between iPad3 and iMac, many books I have purchased have cloud symbol and won't open. Afraid to resync as one very large book didn't sync to iMac and afraid of losing it. How do I get these books back?

    1. After my last synching between iPad3 and iMac, most of my downloaded books have a cloud/arrow symbol and won't open. Most PDF files in iBook just disappeared. I am afraid to resync as a book I recently downloaded, which took up a big chunk of my 5GB download limit, doesn't appear on my computer and when I try to sync, I get the message that all my books will be replaced.
    2. Is there any way to read the books downloaded to my iPad on my iMac? Can I download an Ap for that?
I am really disappointed in the interface between my iPad and iMac and the fact that I can't selectively delete items (music and photos) that I have synched to the iPad. It seems like Apple if going toward the Microsoft method of trying to do everything for you, rather than allowing the user to manually do things.

In iBooks on the iPad every book you purchased will be on the Purchased Book collection. Those books that you have purchased in the past but for some reason are not actually on your iPad are still available in the bookstore. They will have the cloud symbol on the corner. You can tap on that book to download it again. You will not be charged for doing this.

  • Excel from PC to iPad3 Numbers via iTunes not working

I'm trying to add a couple excel spreadsheets to Numbers on an iPad3 from an XP machine via iTunes. The iTunes interface shows the files to be added to Numbers, but after I sync the device the files are not shown in iOS Numbers. I synced a pdf to GoodReader with no problem, but a Word file to Pages failed too. What is up?

That's possible I suppose, but this is a work/enterprise iPad in a federal office and the email system would require a complex two-factor authentication process via Safari. The files are supposed to be transferable via iTunes, which is infinitely simpler for the user to manage. I should also mention iCloud is not an option.
I'm wondering if it's a file-compatibility issue. I thought iWork (even the iOS version) was pretty good abotu MS file formats.
