PDF opens and works correctly with Windows 8 Reader, but not with Adobe Reader.  Why?

My sister-in-law has this PDF order form from one of her company's distributors that opens and allows editing of specific fields.
The only application that opens the file correctly (visually and functionally) is the Windows 8 Reader.  If I open the file in Adobe Reader or with the Mac viewer things do not line up, fonts are too large, and when editing fields sometimes symbols show up and sometimes way over-sized numbers show up.
This behavior has been observed on both a Windows 8.1 PC as well as on a Mac Book Air.
Can someone please tell me why this is happening?  Is there something that needs to be configured differently?

Can you tell me which parts are not correct?  Obviously the Submit button is a bit strange.

    For your issue, try to do the following:
    Click Start > Run->Enter "services.msc" ->Find the WebClient service and select Restart.
    In Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options > Security->Local intranet->make sure the AcitveX control is enabled.
    Enable Basic authentication on the client computer, by setting the BasicAuthLevel registry entry of the following key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters

  • Attempting to use certreq -enroll to enroll to a client authentication certificate works with Windows 8, but not with Windows 7...

    This has been an issue for a while now.  Trying to use certreq -enroll -machine [Template Name] on Windows 7 machines fails with not implemented.  When I run this command with the -q flag I see that the certificate I want is unavailable and displays:
    A valid certification authority (CA) configured to issue certificates based on this template cannot be located, or the CA does not support this operation, or the CA is not trusted.
    When I go into the properties of this certificate and goto the Certification Authority tab and check the "Show all enrollment servers" it shows my server greyed out with this message:
    The system could not determine if you can access this certificate.  Not implemented.
    The template sits on a enterprise 2003 server CA and this process works with Windows 8.1 machines.  Which means that the template has the correct permissions and is issued correctly.
    Is this a known issue with Windows 7 or am I missing something in the config?  Help is greatly appreciated.

    I have done some tests on a Windows 7 Enterprise machine and a Windows 8.1 Enterprise machine, it turns out that I have the same issue with you.
    On the Windows 7 machines, I cannot use Certreq.exe to request machine certificates, but I can successfully request user certificates, and there is no issue with the Windows 8.1 machine.

    Interesting.  From what I can tell, there are no patches that fix this issue either...

  • PEAP works with Windows zero but not with CSSC

    I got PEAP to work using the windows zero config but I cannot get PEAP to work when usin CSSC on the same laptop.
    When using CSSC I get asked for the password and authentication fails.  ACS is reporting PEAP authentication failed due to unknown CA certificate during SSL handshake.
    Any suggestions?

    –The Personal stores are not used for server validation.
    –When the configuration specifies validateChainWithAnyCaFromOs, the certificate must be installed in the Local Computer\Trusted Root store.
    –Any Root CA certificate included in the configuration is ignored and the configuration is translated to validateChainWithAnyCaFromOs. The Root CA certification must be installed by some other means.
    –The certificate store is limited to Local Computer during machine authentication and user authentications when the connection is attempted before Windows logon.

    That is a reversal of note.. normally people are struggling to get their windoze boxes to work.
    Reset the Airport to factory and start over.
    Use all short names, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
    Leave off the wireless security until you confirm it works... then add wpa2 personal security with a 10-20 character pure alphanumeric password.
    You can also try fixing wireless channels.. test 11, 6, 1 for 2.4ghz in that order.

    Actually, there are a lot of things to love about Photoshop CS3 as compared to 6.0.
    Keep in mind you can keep them both installed, assuming you have plenty of disk space, so if you find there's something you just can't find in CS3, you can always close down CS3 and fire up 6.0 (they can't both run at exactly the same time, even though they can coexist on the same computer).

    Welcome to the 'wonderful' world of HTML5 e-learning.
    In my view, from the issues I am seeing everywhere, HTML5 output from rapid e-learning tools such as Captivate is not ready for the kind of mobile device e-learning you want to develop.
    Sorry to be pessimistic, but you may need to consider going back to the drawing board and coding it from the ground up.

    You must go to the website of the audio interface manufacturer and look for, download and install updated drivers for the audio device you are using.
    This is not, neccessarily, an Apple issue.

    I agree that VLC is also a good choice but MPlayerX is more user friendly.

    You can't connect directly to the external drive, but should be able to use iTunes Home Sharing via the laptop.
