PDF opens only after refresh

I am having problems with our Adobe Reader 10.1.2 version.
When opening a pdf on the internet the page stays blank and only after a refresh (F5) the pdf opens up. Does anyone know what to do with it?
I tought the secure modus would have been the problem but it isn't.

PS opening only after reboot

So my Photoshop CC is opening ONLY after I reboot my computer. It's annoying, cause I have to turn on computer and then immidiatly reboot it to get PS to work. Before I do this, when I click on PS icon, nothing happens, it won't open, I don't get any error message.

Here are some things to try:
1. Be sure that Airport is at the top of the list in System Preferences > Network. And, be sure that your preferred network is at the top of the list in System Preferences > Network > Advanced.
2. Go Finder > Your HD > Library > Preferences > SystemConfiguration.
Move the SystemConfiguration folder to your Desktop.
Restart.
Try airport. Try your network. Try your browser.
3. Try creating a new location from System Preferences > Network and then deleting the older one.
4. Create a new admin user account and see if it works from there.
5. Do a repair install of Sno. Just install Sno over Sno as though doing an upgrade installation. Do all the networking/internet tasks at the end of the installation if possible.

Able to view new files from a samba share only after refresh

Hello Guys,
I'm currently trying to access a samba share from windows server 2012
When I access the share I'm only able to view 210 files out of 460 files
and the remaining files are only viewable after refresh(F5)
This Issue is also appear to be Intermittent, I'm freaked out with this strange behaviour
and unable to run my scripts on the share they end up with unable to find the files!!
Please help me in resolving this

3rd Gen Shuffle here, and mine does the same thing. I too have tried restoring, etc, nothing seems to improve it. Like the other poster, I am certain it is fully charged, and I know it's not damaged, as it's fresh out of the box. When I toggle on-off-on, the voiceover confirms that the battery is fully charged. I'm really bummed, as I love Apple and my family has bought at least one of everything they've made since the Apple II, and I've always found their products to be nothing short of awesome.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

JBIG2 files open only after 'rebuilding'....

I use a third party app to generate PDF files using JBIG2 compression. I notice unusual behavior in Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard that does not occur in 9 or 10 (Std or Pro).
When v8 opens these files, it performs a "Rebuilding" process before the file is opened and displayed. This, in turn, causes the file to be altered and subjects the user to selecting if they want to save the changes before closing the file. These files are generated as image-only. If these same files are created without the JBIG2 compression, this prompt is not displayed and no save before close prompt is displayed. This leads me to believe that Adobe 8 performs some type of conversion in order to "understand" the file.
Can someone help me understand what this "rebuilding" is doing and why it only happens in v8?

We have a network of nearly 40 macs, Panther Server, mostly panther clients but the newer machines are on 10.4.
All of the newer machines exhibit the problem that iSchwartz is mentioning. this happens locally with files on the desktop and also for files saved to the server. I contacted Apple regarding this but because we only have APP on our desktop machines not the server they said it must be a server issue and I would have to pay for an incedent. NICE. They said that there is no issue like this with 10.4 or 10.4 interacting with a 10.3 server (I beg to differ).
I have tried various things to correct this e.g. repairing permissions, complete reformat and clean install on a test machine, turning off IPv6 on both the server and the client (though as I said before this issue occurs on the client desktop as well, so it is not "a server issue")
Interestingly I would agree that this is some kind of refresh issue as if you navigate to the directory using the terminal and listing the contents all the files are there both locally and on a server volume.
Additionally Files that cannot be seen by the client which saved them can be seen by other clients. These two points would fairly clearly point at a refresh issue. (by the way disconnecting and reconnecting to a shared volume is not a fix, opening/closing a folder or changing the view does not force a refresh)
Any help would be much apreciated, one machine I would accept as a glitch but all of the 10.4 machines in the building looks more like an issue to me.

PDF opens slower after enabling comments for Reader

I enabled commenting for Adobe Reader to my PDF and now when I try to open the document in Reader it takes about 15 seconds longer. Ok, its just 15 seconds, but still...all my other pdf documents open instantly. Is Adobe Reader loading/checking the entire document for comments?--maybe that's why it takes longer?

BEx Web iView displays graph only after page Refresh

Dear Friends,
I am facing problem in BEx Web application iView.
I am using the SAP Standard BEx Web iView template to call BI Report by passing parameter as below

The report got 2 graphical representations along with a table data.
Problem is the graphs displays data representation only after refreshing the page.
Infact the problem exists in production system and works fine in Development system.
When I checked from portal prospective I found no difference.
Can anybody help on this.

hi,
find the iview from the content administration menu in portal.
If you are using a standard role open the role
and trace the pages until you find the iview containing the template.
Open the iview and check the parameter Content-BW report.
At the field BEx Web Application Query String go to and and check the template name.
Go to web application designer and open the above template.
Change the parameters from the post above and save the web template as zXXXXX.
Change the web template at iview as well.
What i figured out is that bex handler has a problem creating an array when you are using same session for more than one charts.
When you use seperate sessions for each chart there is no need for array creation and works just fine.
*If you are using best practices go to Content Provided by SAP->Specialist->Best Practices and find the role and iview you are using.
It should work..

Why is the text not the visible in the protected PDF opened on Mac?

Long story short:
I've created a document in Microsoft Word 2010 and saved it as PDF. With the .pdf open now in Acrobat Reader 9.4.1 I have enabled the protection over the .pdf file by only allowing Printing and saved the protected .pdf. All of these actions are made on Windows 7 machine. Now when trying to open the protected .pdf on Mac (with Snow Leopard 10.6.6 and Preview) the .pdf opened only shows the lines and bullets but not the text.
Why is the text not visible in the protected PDF opened on Mac?
(is this bug or a "feature"?)
Note: the protected .pdf looks good on Windows 7 and it works on Mac if the .pdf has no protection.

A. What application are you using to add the protection? Reader cannot add any file security and I don't think the PDF feature of Word will either.
B. Mac Preview has issues with PDF standards so there may be some features that you will experience issues with that have no workarounds.
C. Have you checked the file after adding security to see if all fonts are embedded?

Can not use scroll mouse in html tab when open pdf file in new tab with middle button but will avaliable only after switch to pdf tab and switch back to html

When I open a "pdf" file in new tab with middle mouse click. After few second my mouse will not able to scroll in page that I read. But it will be able to scroll only after I click to any opened pdf tab and click on pdf document and click back on previous tab to continue reading. It is not only happen on my laptop also on my desktop too. (winxp 4gb/8gb ram core2 duo 2.66)

There's a Bug filed about that issue.

How to open a pdf file only in one computer

I would like to sell pdf publications by allowing the user to open them only in one computer. I learnt that this has been done the past when I bought some publications but I don't know the way to do it. Could you help me?

You will havwe to sign up for some service that supports rights
management, use protected PDFs via LiveCyle/ Acrobat Connect or learn how
to create your own ePub stuff using Digital Publishing Suite. In any case,
it will probably cost you money upfront before you make any revenue.

I am using Adobe 8 Professional and working on Windows XP. I have been facing an issue lately with opening files in a dual-monitor environment. All my Adobe Reader (PDF) files are opening only in the secondary monitor by default. There are times when I work only in one monitor and when I open a PDF file and want to have a look at it, I have to connect another monitor to view that file, since this file is open in the secondary monitor. It is very disappointing with such instances happening with Adobe (a leading organization). Can you please help so that the Adobe Reader files open in the primary monitor by default?

What is the error that you're receiving when you try to convert? Is it the "Conversion Failure" message? Can you tell me more about the files you're unable to convert? What application created the PDFs? Are there many pages in these these files, or a complex mix of text and graphics?
It'll also be helpful to know whether you're converting via the ExportPDF website (and what browser you're using), or through Adobe Reader.
I look forward to hearing back from you, so we can get to the bottom of this!

How to trigger javascript in parent window which opens a pdf in iframe after event (didPrint)

My main goal is the following:
1. PHP generates PDF using fpdf <-- OK
2. javascript: PDF opens in an IFRAME <-- OK
3. PDF prints silently using emb java <-- OK
4. After print, call a function in my javascript <-- Problem
I tried window.onload() in java, but this seems to fire once the window is loaded. Means, that the pdf itself is not loaded and hence the print process has not started.
I'm currently exploring to use setAction(didPrint, action) to create a robust trigger -
function AutoPrint($dialog=false)

If you are using Forms 9i or Patch 9 and above of 6i you can use Jinitiator 1.3.n With this version of Jinitiator you can submit URLs containing JavaScript commands as well as http:// URLs.
The syntax is web.show_document('javascript:<command>','<target>').
e.g) web.show_document('javascript:history.back();','_self');
