PDF page display order

i'm always creating original documents (for example invoices that can be edited) in microsoft word 2008 for mac version 12.3.3 (120411) - then save them as a PDF file i'm using version 9.5.1 to my desktop - problem is somewhere in the conversion process the last page of the PDF document always displays itself first at the top - and the first page of the PDF document always shows up last at the bottom - it's in complete opposite order of how the pages are created or should display and i need to reverse the order so things appear in this order as 1-2-3-4-5 from top to bottom - not 5-4-3-2-1 from top to bottom - never had this problem before so it's making me crazy - any idea how to resolve issue ? thanks a ton - k

searching MS WORD > HELP > CONVERSION SETTINGS
doesn't give me anything close to this issue
any idea where to find those conversion settings ?
thanks again

  • Is it possible to print a pdf page displayed in browser?

    I have a servlet that will send a pdf file to the browser (IE), (i set the content type to "applicaction/pdf"). Now I need a way to create a print button to allow user that option, seems the browser print button is not satisfactory. Can a pdf be embedded in a web page somehow? Sounds like I would be dealing with 2 different reponse types "application/pdf" and "text/html"..I think the print button would call a method doing some extra things other than what the browser print button does. Is this possible? Thank you

    Can you post me example how to displaying pdf in browser?
    Thankss..

  • Combined PDF page display speed difference between Acrobat 8 Pro and Acrobat X Pro

    I have encountered a display speed issue with regards to combining Tiffs with Acrobat X Pro.  The Tiffs are between 200 KB and 600 KB.  Tested the issue by using a series of Tiffs originally combined using Acrobat 8 Pro but used Acrobat X Pro to combine them.  When I open the combined PDF files using X, I can cycle through the pages of the one created using 8 significatinly faster (i.e. about as fast as I can click) but the file created using X is significately slower.  Note: PDF file size is smaller using X (30.9 MB) than same combined files using 8 (46.1 MB).  Any ideas on what might be causing this issue?

    Found a Tips & Tricks document for Acrobat 8 which indicated the default Monochrome Compression setting for Acrobat 8 is CCITT G4.  Recreated the combined PDF file from the original Tiffs using X Pro with the modified setting and works like a charm.  Thanks for the point in the right direction.

  • IPhone - PDF Page Display Problem

    I am trying to display pages from a PDF included in my application to a Quartz context. I can get the first page to display correctly, but am having trouble displaying subsequent pages. In essence I am using the example shown in the Quartz 2D programming Guide (13-1 and 13-2 code examples).
    When the view is first loaded, I display the first page, and do something like the following:
    CGPDFDocumentRef document;
    CGPDFPageRef page;
    document = MyGetPDFDocumentRef (filename);
    page = CGPDFDocumentGetPage (document, 1);
    CGContextDrawPDFPage (myContext, page);
    After this the function exits. There is a button on the screen to go to the next page. In the pressed event function I do something like this:
    page = CGPDFDocumentGetPage (document, 1);
    CGContextDrawPDFPage (myContext, page);
    The problem is the page does not show up on the screen. It only shows up if I leave the view and then come back (I have a Toolbar at the bottom of the application similar to the iPod or Clock application).
    Am I missing something to get the second page to display immediately? Or is there a better way to display a PDF in my application...
    Thanks.

  • Pdf pages display blank in safari

    Using Safari, when I go to a webpage with a .pdf URL the page is blank.  I recently upgraded to Lion and purchased/installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro  (I was using Acrobat 7.0 with Snow Leopard). The only to access these types of pages is by trying to download linked file (which sometimes doesn't work).

    Quit Safari. Look in the /Library/Internet Plug-ins folder (not the home folder).
    If you see anything with PDF in the middle of it, drag that file to desktop. Then re-start Safari and enjoy.

  • Fixing Page Display Resolution

    Hello
    Is it possible to fix the display resolution of a PDF file at 96 pixels/inch by some means?
    I am developing some e-learning content which I would like to distribute as interactive PDF files. I intend to use InDesign CS5.5 for the layout work and have been creating some test screens.
    It falls apart when I add movies onto my pages. Once saved as an interactive PDF file and opened in Adobe Reader the quality of the movie is very dependent on the page display resolution set in the individual user's preferences.
    If they have their preference set to anything other than 96 pixels/inch the movies look poor. We develop the movies on our Macs at 72 pixels/inch and can overcome the change in resolution to 96 pixels/inch by changing the page setup to 75%. The resolution though is out of our control and i wondered if we could overcome this by some neat scripting.
    Thank you.

    Simple answer is "no, but there's another way".
    PDF pages display in physical units (points) so the concept of "100%" is actually meaningless on screen - the chances of it being 1:1 pixels are vanishingly-small even on a predictable set of hardware, and in Acrobat or Reader a "100%" scale is supposed to mean "a 210mm wide page is shown 210mm wide" - however as it has no idea of the physical size of the monitor, it's a moot point. It is certainly not the same as "100%" in Photoshop, which means "one photo pixel = one screen pixel".
    Instead, if you use a different player widget to embed your videos in Acrobat, you can set the video itself to use 1:1 pixel scaling (provided the screen rectangle is large enough of course). Flash is happy to work with pixels even when the PDF it's living inside is not.

  • Marketing Attribute Display Order on Account Overview Page (Web Client)

    Hi All,
    I am using CRM 7.0 EhP 1 and I have encountered a item I need to address in regard to the display of a Marketing Attribute set on the Account Overview page (BP_HEAD/BPHEADOverview) on the Web Client.
    The component in question on the page is BP_DATA/MarketingAttributesEOVP.
    Once the Attribute set is selected on this component, I require that the Atributes display in the order which there are maintained in the Attribute Set Template Profile in transaction CRMD_PROF_TEMPL.
    However, currently they are displaying alphabetically by attribute description on the Web Client as default.
    Any idea how to achieve the requirement above as standard if possible?
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

    Hi Jonathan
    We experienced the exact same issue.
    We raised this with SAP OSS. There is no standard mechanism for altering the display order unfortunately.
    The only options are custom are we were not prepared to make this sort of adjustment to the system.
    Sorry I cannot give you better news.
    Regards

  • Html display order : PDF document in AIR application

    Hello.
    I read
    "The display order of a PDF file operates differently than other display objects in an AIR application. Although PDF content clips correctly according to HTML display order, it will always sit on top of content in the AIR application's display order."
    I am concerned with the "PDF content clips correctly according to HTML display order" part. I would like to know what it exactly means. That is I want to be sure that I could put, for example, and image over the PDF doc, or any other HTML elements without them being graphically overridden by the PDF view. Thanks in advance.

    My reading of the quoted bits is: Inside the PDF, layer ordering rules should work correctly.  But the PDF itself will float above any other content in AIR.

  • Why won't Internet Explorer display current PDF page?

    Why can't my computer's Internet Explorer display the current PDF page?

    Dear acro123,
        I fixed the problem!  I un-installed two different adobe programs (the current ver.11 and an old ver. 5, which I think caused the problems), went to the registry and removed all folders pertaining to the adobe programs, and decided to re-install the current version (ver.11) for a clean install.  This seams to do the trick.  Thank you for your concern.  By the way it was Internet Explorer, running Windows XP and the Adobe versions were 11 and 5.
        Problem: An old page from April 21st kept showing up instead of a current updated webpage.  It wouldn't update to the current page.  My solution fixed it.
        Thank you!
    Bob

  • Displaying 2 PDF pages on one page

    Really enjoying books in EPUB format as I am able to display 2 pages in landscape view on my iPad mini. However, I'm unable to do the same with PDF's. Does anyone know how to display 2 pdf pages on a page in landscape view rather than just 1?

    Hi kirstenh,
    Combining to PDF pages into one isn't something that's easily done in Acrobat. Please see this thread for a workaround:

  • Putting pdf pages in chronological order

    I have several documents in one pdf folder that are dated.  I would like to put these documents in chronological order by date, how do I do that?  I also got a message that some of the content is not editable because it was scanned.  So, if I export this to a Word document, how do I put the pages in chronological order?
    Thank you,
    Slspencer

    Use your OS's file browser/explorer to sort the files (in the folder) by date.
    Rename each. Top down put a numeric prefix in place.
    000-filename
    001-filename
    nnn-filename
    Open Acrobat and use the "Combine" feature to combine the files into a single PDF.
    An option available with the Combine feature is to have Bookmarks used. Tick this choice.
    The single, new PDF is created. Save it.
    Open this PDF file's Bookmark pane. There'll be a bookmark for each of the files.
    The order of Bookmarks and the order of PDF pages reflects the order you set when you renamed the source files (a date sort).
    Note that you could manually position the order of files to be combined in the Combine dialog.
    I find it easier and quicker to add the prefix to the source files.
    Using Acrobat XI you'd process the new, single PDF through OCR.
    As some of the PDF pages already have renderable text they cannot undergo OCR.
    Acrobat will alert you of this when it comes to the first of such pages.
    Just tick the box in the lower left. This tells Acrobat to ignore any upcoming pages that cannot be OCRd and to keep on truck'n to OCR the page that hold the scanned image.
    Now, use Acrobat XI to export the the PDF to the Word file you want.
    (File :: Save As Other :: <make the desired choice> )
    Do not expect a 1:1 export. You have a diverse collection of source files.
    While you might get 1:1 if ALL the PDFs combined were well-formed Tagged PDF (compliant with 14.8 of ISO 32000-1 & ISO 14289-1) you don't have that.
    So --- To be expected — cleanup of the content in the Word file.
    Be well...

  • One page displays as negative image when saving PDF to reduced size in Preview

    Imac Intel Mid 2007
    OS X 10.5.8
    Preview v4.2
    I have a multi-page PDF I'm trying to save to a reduced size.
    The document was constructed of separate pages, some of which were created as Photoshop PDFs in Photoshop CS4 and others were saved as PDF's from Word.  After moving over the individual PDF's to the side bar, the document saves fine in Preview at full size. When I use the quartz filter to "Save As"  "Reduced File Size" one page saves as a negative image and the others are all fine.
    One suggestion I saw in a similar thread was that the mode in PS might be CMYK, however it is not and it is RGB.
    Any help as to solving this would be greatly appreciated.

    n.gilbert wrote:
    If I select all pages 'save as' will only save out one page and not all.
    JPEG is single-page.
    If I print and choose 'pdf to jpeg'
    Elaborate, please.
    Is there a way to save to pages out in one go to jpeg where I can adjust the dpi setting?
    Yes. Build an Automator workflow using the PDFs > Render PDF Pages as Images action.
    Once I have the reduced jpegs it's easy enough to reimport into preview and save as a pdf.
    If the desired final output is multi-page PDF, no need to go through all that. You can do the task in Acrobat Pro (PDF Optimizer), or in Preview (Save as > PDF > Quartz Filter). If the current Reduce File Size filter doesn't provide satisfactory quality, use ColorSync Utility to duplicate it (or make a new filter from scratch) and adjust it to fit your needs.

  • How to create a PDF page that displays in Email and contains links to a page in the full PDF.

    Mac, CS 5
    I was able to create the PDF page and activate links to pages in the full PDF document. But when I test-email both files to myself, the links do not work.

    You have created links between two PDFs while they were regular disk-based files (I assume using the 'open a file' link action). When they're both attachments to an email message they are no longer in any meaningful 'location'. Some mail clients will extract all the attachments in a message into a temporary cache folder, so they do end up being able to see one another; but others will open each attachment on demand and prevent them from accessing anything else. Attachments are a huge security risk and sandboxing them is always best practice - the result of which is that lots of PDF functions just don't work.

  • PDF not displaying correctly when opening in Firefox

    I have created a document in Powerpoint 97-03, with hyperlinks created using shapes, on a Win. 7 PC and then converted it to a PDF. It has then be uploaded onto the internet and it displays fine on a Windows PC.
    One of my colleagues has viewed it on their mac with Firefox and found that the contents of the PDF have shifted to the right so that part of the document is off of the page, though the hyperlinks have stayed where they should.
    I have installed Adobe Reader XI onto the mac in the hopes that this may resolve it but alas no luck. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this issue and whether there was any fix at all?

    Can you please post the link to the PDF in question?<br>
    Does this occur in all PDFs?
    In order to change the default reader for PDF files (to not open PDF files with Firefox's internal PDF reader), follow these steps:
    #Go to ''Tools'' > ''Options'' (or ''Firefox'' > ''Options'').
    #In the Options window, select the ''Applications'' tab.
    #In the ''Search'' field, type ''PDF''. You should find ''Portable Document Format (PDF)''.
    #On the right handside you should find an ''Action'' column. Use that to select your favorite PDF reader. In order to view PDF files in Firefox, choose ''Preview in Firefox''.
    Did this fix your problems? Please report back soon.
