PDF Page Flip Feature Request

Flip books have become popular over the past years and I would like to see the ability to flip through pdf's with a page turn option. This could be a view with a one page or two page layout. This functionality would not have to have the robust rendering that a true Flash page flip book has but just an animated quick flip, much like you see on common book readers. I know this is a small thing but it makes a big difference in perception when one is scrolling through a PDF verses reading through it like a book. Is this feature a current consideration?

Anyone want to back up my feature request?

Yes I realize this board is for technical issues, but I need to hear if anyone else agrees with ny gripe. Apple has a page for feature requests and I hope I'm not the only one who'll use it for this:
I think Apple has left a huge gap in the custom specification options for the new iMacs.
I'm probably not ordering one until someone out there has tested a safe way to D.I.Y. the option I'm looking for, since I'll have to void my warranty if I do.
I think the Fusion Drive is a neat idea - for some. But I don't need it. For storage I already have plenty of external drives. It's just too expensive per GB.
I don't want the 7200 RPM SATA drive because it's just not fast enough for me. Once you go SSD you never go back.
I don't want the 768GB SSD Drive becuase it's just *silly expensive* - I mean $1300 - really Apple?
So why can't I order my iMac with a small SSD somewhere in the range of 128-320 GB? I can get one for my laptop so it's not like you don't have them lying around. I only need it for the OS and Applications. I can store my own data elsewhere.

I'm just wondering if I'm the only one who has noticed this, and I'm asking others to take notice and back me up by making a similar feature request.

Default watermark location (feature request)

Just a feature request.
I would find it useful if there was an option to have lightroom add a watermark to the longest edge of a photo. Instead of having to save different watermark presets and pick and choose which photos to apply which preset to.

Feature Request: reopen each PDF at the last open page

I love many things about Reader for Android, but I read many books at the same time, so for me it is missing one crucial feature: please enhance Reader to reopen each PDF at the last open page. Currently if I switch from one PDF to another, when I return to the first, it forgets what page I was on, so there's no way to use Reader for my real reading of PDF books.
Everything else about Reader is fantastic, so I really hope you can make this improvement.

Thanks Jim , for appreciating Adobe Reader and for the feature request on remembering last opened page for a pdf . It is one of the top few priorities for us. We would try to include this at earliest in our next major update.

Feature Request: Reopen PDF at last open page

At work, I often have to deal with PDF files (of several hundred pages each) and have to keep shifting from one PDF to another. If I leave a PDF file on page 372, open another file, and return to the first file, I am sent to page 1. Why on Earth do I have to find my position in the PDF file manually each time I return to the PDF?
Please make Adobe Reader remember our last view settings (page position and Continuous/SinglePage mode) for every file. Please consider this as an urgent feature request, which I believe shouldn't take too long to provide, considering that this feature has been available on the desktop versions for ages.
And could you please give us an estimate of when this feature might be included?

In addition to the current List View of documents, a thumbnail view would be a huge bonus, specially when trying to pinpoint a particular file from a series of similarly named files (eg. 01.pdf, 02.pdf, 03.pdf....).

I too would absolutely love to have this feature! Our views match perfectly!! I too have to deal with many files which often have 300-400 pages and then finding my way back in them can get really tedious.
You can try iBooks if you want as it does have this feature, but I personally prefer the continuous Reading mode that this Adobe Reader app offers! Plus this app is really fast in opening and scrolling through those huge PDFs I have to deal with all the time.

Feature suggestion: add page flipping transition, text highlighting, notes, and translation

I'm using Adobe Reader on Android.
Similar to Google Play Books app, I'd like to suggest the following features:
1. Page flipping effect or transition.
2. Selection or highlighting of text in different colors
3. Notes taking support
4. Translation of selected text Ina similar fashion to Play Books app.
5. Syncing of reading across devices.

1. We have this added this request to our feature backlog. We might incorporate it in one of our future releases.
2. You can change the color of the highlight added to a document. Once you highlight some text, tap on it to bring a context menu with options as Color, Opacity and Clear. Select 'Color' and choose the highlight color. Please note that any new highlight made after this will appear in this color as well.
3. You can add notes to a document. From the top toolbar, select the commenting icon. The commenting toolbar will appear. The first icon from the left on this toolbar is the Sticky Note icon. You can enter text in this note and can edit it later as well.
4. We have added this request to our future backlog as well.
5. What exactly do you mean by 'Syncing of reading' across devices? Do you want the application to remember the last viewed page number? Please note that this functionality is provided for all documents in Acrobat.com. If you want to access this functionality, please make an Acrobat.com account, upload the file you want to read. The file will be visible across devices and the last viewed page will be remembered.

Feature Request: Ability to download response PDF forms in mass

I noticed that after receiving a response in formscentral I need to go to each responce so get a saved copy of the PDF form. It would be great to the ability to "CTRL" select which files you wanted to download or the ability to download all response received as indivdual PDF forms. I guess it would even be helpful if you could download them all and receive it as once massive PDF file that could be sorted through after the fact.
I'm really liking FormsCentral so far and can't wait to see what additional features are coming.

Feature Request: Shortcut files to web pages should show the website's favicon

If I'm viewing a website, and I drag it's favicon in the address bar onto the desktop, then a shortcut is created to the website. But, the shortcut always has the generic "@" icon. The feature request is to change the icon to include the favicon which I dragged, so for example, if I drag the Apple favicon, I would end up with a shortcut which looks like a document with the Apple logo on it.

Feature Request: Setting App page title to something other than "Eloqua 10"

Hello everyone,
Long-time lurker, first-time poster. As someone who has been using Eloqua for over 3 years, when working in the application, I will usually end up with upwards of half-a-dozen tabs open in Firefox, all of which say "Eloqua 10". Because of this, I'll usually try to strategically organize my tabs, but often times I end up having to click through multiple tabs to find the one I'm looking for, which can sometimes lead to Firefox freezing. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.
So to alleviate this, I'd like to make the following feature request: Can we have the tabs/windows named by Asset Type & Asset Name? Perhaps in the following Format:
[Asset Type]: [Asset Name] - Eloqua 10
Note how I have "Eloqua 10" at the end of the string. An example of a title would be: "Campaigns: Nurture_Campaign_1 - Eloqua 10"
Could this please be implemented?

Book Module: Export as indd file and management
I would like to request a feature to export a book module as indd file.
I like PDF's but .indd is nice also so we are able to to more in depth layouts.
Having Lightoom being able to manage all your pictures and book layouts would be nice, alot of things can be done in one application.
Another Feature: Using Lightoom as book layout management.
Being able to send a page(s) of the book from lightroom into InDesign to do indepth layout and editing, then being able to send it back into lightroom
Almost similar to how you can send a photo from LR in Photoshop to do indepth editing and then send it back into lightroom.
This could and will ease the workflow of book management and layout design. So lightroom will not only be able to manage photos, but also indesign and book layouts.

Why do repeat it here, as you have already filed a feature request for it?
BTW AFAIK this is already implemented: you can use Adobe Illustrator or InDesign or Opensource Scribus to edit layouts.
They are just not ready to publish how - another sign of the quality processes at Adobe.
But you do not send from the book module.
You create upfront layout templates, which you can import for use inside LR book module.
This is a one-way street.
The book module designers did not acknowledge a use case where you might want to fiddle the exact placement of really chosen images.
It is always you first design a template, then use it.
Love it or leave it - *change it* is not an option that Adobe seems to give to their beta testers.

Feature request: "Last" button works in guide

Often times, when flipping through channels, I'd like to go back in the guide to were I was.
For example: I'm watching a channel, a commercial comes on, I go to the guide, and page up (or down) a few times and find a show I want to flip to. I select it, and it's also on a commercial. Now what I want to do is go back to the channel I was watching and pick up searching where I left off.
I'd like to bring up the guide, hit last, and that's the last place I was in the guide, so my searching can pick up where it left off.
What do you think, possible? Something you have ever wanted?
I find myself wanting it all the time.

There is a fairly easy work around.
Hit last first. Then hit guide.
No more button clicks than what you asked and takes you back to where you wanted to be (if I understand correctly).
If a forum member gives an answer you like, give them the Kudos they deserve. If a member gives you the answer to your question, mark the answer as Accepted Solution so others can see the solution to the problem.

Magazine page flip

Hi, Iam not the quickest when it comes to indesign tech problems so hopefully someone can help me.
I have created a magazine in Indesign with animated text, video files and images as I want the magazine to be interactive.
What im struggling with is the best way to get this onto my website for people to read ( its a flip magazine)
This is what I want to do.....
Have an image of the front cover on a page on the site so that when people click on it they go straight to the magazine and can turn the pages, play video ect, just like the PDF magazine flip software.
Do I have to use something such as YUDU or ISSUU?
Do I need to save the Indesign file as an SWF to keep the page turning features, animation and video?

AFAIK you can´t use SWF file exported from indesign with those services you mentioned... but you can of course publish that SWF to your server by yourself. When you export SWF, indesign creates 3 things for you, SWF file which is actual content of your magazine, Resources folder that includes all the videos etc. externally placed materials + one HTML file which is a wrapper for the SWF. You have to upload all those 3 things to your server and then you have your magazine published.
If you want to refine your magazine with navigational user interface + some extra features like zoom for instance, you may want to take a look at http://www.edocker.com
