Pdf photos are grey. Including Google maps.

I used to print/save as pdf Google maps and Sudokus from the online (Olive software) papers with no problem using my old MacBook 2007. Now I've got a MacBook Pro OS 10.8.3 with Adobe Reader X 10.1.7 and the pdf's are coming up as grey filled rectangles. What's going on? I can't seem to find an answer.

Google Earth will display streets (with names) if you enable the right layers. You can give it a street address and it will go to that location.

I am surprised to see such a effortless update from a company squatting on the resources to make a change its customers are asking for.

Same photos are always included in group of new photos to import from my iPhone to Photos.

Every time I plug my iPhone into my MacBook a group of photos are always included in the group of new photos in the group of new photos Photos selects to import.
How can I convince Photos it has already imported these photos many times before?

What photos are you expecting to stream that are not streaming?
Only the photos in Photo Stream stream to other devices over iCloud. Preexisting photos and albums that are synced to the iPhone do not stream over iCloud to other devices.

How do I get the photo from beneath a google map...........

Hi- trying to publish my first '08 iWeb page (used iWeb in previous versions) and have a google map but when I place it on my page it covers up a photo. I can't get the map to have it's own space; if I drag a photo out of the way, another one takes it's place! I know there must be a simple fix for this and if I play around with it for another hour, I might figure it out but I am hungry, need my breakfast and don't want to waste a whole day trying to figure this out. I tried the Help but it didn't really answer my question but maybe I didn't word it right so I thought I'd try here and see if someone can help. Judy

I'm attempting to move 5 images from my device to my computer and after moving them they are grey when I open them on my computer.

The files may be encrypted, do the files have a .rem extension added to the original file name? Have a look at the follow article:

Camera roll photos are grey

My camera roll is showing a lot of blank grey photos. Every time that I sync my phone to iPhoto, and I delete the photos from the camera roll using iPhoto, it leaves behind one of these grey boxes. The only photos that actually show, as seen in this screen shot, are photos that I have not yet synced to iPhoto. As soon as I sync them to iPhoto and delete them, they will turn to grey boxes. I have tried restarting my phone, but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?

I had exactly the same proble and did the same tests.
Did you try this to fix the issue :
Delete following files in photodata directory (use with caution)
com.apple.photos.caches_metadata.plist
Photos.sqlite
PhotosAux.sqlite

I used ifunbox to do this and it worked fine for me after many other attemps (resync, restore, reset ...)

I have an Imac. When I click to open google maps a permeable but dark screen covers my monitor screen and I get a note that tells me to shut down the computer and restart it. This hasn't helped. Everything else seems to work fine.

When I attempt to open google maps in Firefox on my Imac, a dark screens descends over my monitor screen and a note tells me there's been an error, no number is noted, and that I need to turn off and restart my computer. This doesn't help, but everything else works, including google maps in other browsers.

This is a kernel panic.
First verify that Firefox is fully updated including all extensions.
If this fails to fix....
Restart in Safe Boot mode then open Firefox.
* shutdown
* start the Mac and *wait* for the startup chime to sound
* after the sound, press and hold down the shift key
* keep holding and *wait* until the grey  Apple logo appears
* now release the shift key and just wait (it could take a few minutes)
* eventually the login screen appears with the words SAFE BOOT
* login and open Firefox.

Iweb, google maps/earth .kml or api

i am trying to do is put a web album on my iweb website, i would like to have the photos shown in a google map such as using in a kml from google earth or maybe create it in "my maps" and embedding it in on my website. any ideas how i can do that or am i doomed to only be able to link it to another webpage not made with iweb? my friend has done so using wordpress for the and the site is http://www.aaron-and-erika.com

How to transfer google maps starred items to ovi m...

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to ask.
Anyway, I'm wondering is there a way to transfer google maps starred items to ovi maps favorites?
I find google maps a lot more efficient and smarter than ovi maps in finding places. The issue is I don't know how to transfer google maps starred items to ovi maps -- so that I can use them for navigation purposes. Somehow, ovi maps favorites are automatically transferred to google maps starred items, but NOT vice versa.
Any helps? Thanks in advance.

From what I have seen, there is no easy way. This is the best I have come across, although it is a link by link job. Just make sure each of your waypoints are centred on Google Maps before ganking the link.

When Lightroom greys out a photo in the Import dialog box, it means the photo is already in the catalog. It doesn't mean that it is matched with an older photo with the same name ... in order for there to be a match, the file name and capture date and file size must be identical.
So Lightroom thinks you have already imported the photos, and you think the photos have not been imported. Now I'm sure you are a very nice person, but I believe Lightroom. What you need to do is to find the photos in your Library Module and use them there. The photos can be found by searching for them by file name, after turning off all filters, and after clicking on All PHotographs in the Library Module.

Google Maps URLs get corrupted when inserted into Numbers

I've noticed that Numbers doesn't like complex Google Maps URLs. Directions between any 2 points should work fine, but if you make a custom path like so:

Some of the percent signs (%) get changed to %25 or whatever the proper HTML escape code is.
The funny thing is, these URLs are still valid Google Maps addresses, but now show different routes, generally in the same neighborhood!
Does anyone know how to force Numbers to accept a URL as is without modifying it?

As I explained yesterdays in an other thread, the problem is that you don't use Numbers correctly.
Inserting an URL as is in a cell is a wrongdoer.
The correct soluce is the use of the dedicated function : HYPERLINK()

i just got google maps for my treo 750 and i do not know how to configure the external gps stuff. can anyone help me?

Ok, so it's running Palm OS.
What I did is download the latest google maps from google and installed it to my Palm TX. Which runs the same version of Palm OS as your 755p.
I did a soft reset and then when I search on the palm, it includes google maps as a search item.
To get rid of it; I went to the main view and brought up the menu in the top left hand corner. Then I selected "delete" and was brought to a list of applications installed on my palm.
I went down the list to "Google Maps" and clicked "delete". Once it has been deleted, I performed another soft reset and sure enough, there was no longer any google maps as part of my search.
Give this a try and let us know how you go.

HELP: CLOSING MAIL AND GOOGLE MAPS

Dear guys,
My 3gs suffer from battery drain caused by background 3g traffic data activity.
Even if I have no background running app, my phone keeps sending receiving huge mb of data.
I've downloaded from appstore an app, system lite, which has revealed that, between runnin apps, there are mail and google maps. Maybe this colud cause traffic data.
How can I close them? Obviously, double pressing home button doesn't show these apps running....

If double pressing the home button does not show the programs in the bar, they are not running. There is no possible way for them to be running in the background unless they are showing the quick switching bar.
What is showing in this bar when you double tap the home button?
Have you tried the basics from the manual or reset, restart, and restore?
