PDF Presentation from PowerPoint

I've created a presentation in PowerPoint and converted it to a PDF.  When I try to use the PDF as a presentation my remote for the projector will not work. Is there a setting in Acrobat Pro that can change this or a Javascript?

Open your presentation in PowerPoint go to Print menu (at least in Mac version) look for PDF eith click the button or click and hold and choose desired  type of PDF.

    Hi Sara!
Yes this sounds interesting. Can I update to that from the PDF Export I have just renewed? How much would that cost?
    Thanks for your quick answer.

  • Resolution problem with pdf presentation from CS4 in Bridge

I have CS4 and am consistently having problems creating multipage pdf files using Bridge; though they are created using 300 dpi files in Photoshop CS4 the resulting multipage pdfs from Bridge are not print quality. I never had a problem with this before Bridge was required to create pdf presentations. The files used to create the presentation in Bridge are either psd or Photoshop pdf at 300 dpi. I am completely self-taught in Photoshop and my skill level is moderate at best, but I am not finding anything to help me so far in searching google and forums. Does anyone have any info to point me in the right direction? thanks-

Have you applied all the updates for photoshop cs4 including this one:

  • PDF Presentation from Photoshop CS3 lacks Fade Transition

I'm using Photoshop and Bridge CS3 extended and the PDF Presentation
tool for creating a slideshow doesn't contain a "Fade" transition. It has
many other goofy transitions that I would be embarrassed to
    use professionally.
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question or if I'm doing
this correctly (I've never posted to a forum before). I'm guessing that
Acrobat creates the slideshow but maybe Photoshop does it.
    Anybody know?
    Thanks!
    -Ennis

That function has been transferred to the Output Module in Bridge.
Make absolutely certain you apply the Bridge Output Module update.

  • Why do colors look different in PDF saved from Powerpoint with glow?

When I save a Microsoft Powerpoint (2008 for Mac) Presentation as PDF, then view the PDF with Preview (application on Mac) it looks right.
But when I view it with Adobe Reader, the color is off (it looks dim like there is a gray screen over it) on any page with glow.
? Can anyone tell me why this happens, or how I can get the colors to look the same as the original Powerpoint?
    Thank you!
    Carey

You use Microsoft Office programs to save the docs as PDFs?  If so, no Adobe software is involved; you should ask in the appropriate Microsoft Office forum.

  • Transfering presentations from powerpoint to Keynote

    Hi
I have transfered a powerpoint presentation onto Keynote and have two problems.
    1. When i saved the presenation in Keynote the text does not appear on the presentaion as the texts that are on the presenation are not part of Apples fonts. The texts are Unviers LT Std, Baskerville MT Std and Baskerville MT Std semi bold. How can I import the fonts onto the ipad (which are saved on my works W drive)?? Or can I buy them?
    2. When I save the presenation in i-books as a PDF the images of the presenations do not come up!! Does anybody know why?
Please let me know if you have any ideas.
    Thanks
    Rose

These are the fonts that Keynote on the iPad supports:
iPad supports over 40 fonts and font families which can be used with iWork for iPad apps. When importing a presentation that uses a font not available on iPad, iWork attempts to replace an unsupported font with one that is a close match. If a close match is not found, the Helvetica font will be used instead. After the import process, fonts that were replaced are listed for review by the user.
Fonts available on the iPad include:
    American Typewriter
    AppleGothic
    Arial
    Baskerville
    Bodoni 72
    Bradley Hand
    Chalkduster
    Cochin
    Copperplate
    Courier
    Courier New
    Didot
    Futura
    Geeza Pro
    Georgia
    Gill Sans
    Heiti J
    Helvetica
    Hoefler Text
    Marker Felt
    Optima
    Palatino
    Papyrus
    Party LET
    Snell Roundhand
    Thonburi
    Times New Roman
    Trebuchet MS
    Verdana
    Zapf Dingbats
    Zapfino
Sorry to say you can't add fonts to the iPad. The Baskerville font that you are using may not be supported. Even tho it is in the supported list above.
For your second question. Are you making the keynote PDF on the iPad or on a computer? What file format are the images? I just made a two slide keynote with images on the iPad. I converted the keynote to a PDF and emailed to myself. When I open the email, I picked iBooks to open the PDF. All image were there in iBooks.

  • Batch PDF Create from Powerpoint Files Stops Partway with Errors

When converting several ppt files to pdf using the "Batch Create Multiple Files" command in Adobe Acrobat 9.1.3, the conversion process works properly for the first few documents and then stops, usually with the error "Cannot open document" for all subsequent ppt files in the chain. The ppt files listed as "cannot open document" are indeed opened as separate windows in Powerpoint 2007 (by Acrobat, not by me). I think this error might be due to a fragile requirement that no windows are made active during a conversion process, as if Acrobat or PDFMaker is sending commands to the active window and not to the specific document windows in Powerpoint. To recover from this error, I have to use Windows Task Manager to end the POWERPNT.EXE process. Does anybody have advice for this problem? I think the only workaround is to not use the computer at all when there are file conversions to pdf going on, which is a regrettable limitation of PDFMaker if true.

You are almost there. Go back to your single Action, that just did the Save in the wrong place. Note its name. Go to File>Automate>Batch and point to that Action. Set your Source Folder and Destination Folder, choose whether to bypass Open command, and hit OK. Done!
Here's a look at the dialog screen:
You do not need multiple Actions, just the one that "almost" worked.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - if this does not work, then there is a problem with the Action.

  • Resolution problem with pdf presentation from CS6 in Bridge.

I'm having exactly the same problem as this guy but on CS6 http://forums.adobe.com/message/4352008.

I couldnt find any updates for Bridge CS6. Can anyone help please?
If Adobe wants us to use Bridge for generating pdf's it'd better be working correctly
    Thanks

  • Problem posting of pdf resulting from Powerpoint

    Hello,
We create pdf since Powerpoint and that poses concern. A part of the picture appear on the pdf partially or completely black and of the exel tables appear in  white picture form  and they are illisbles
    Here is the result
    Here is the original file
If we use a free software, we doesn't have the problem.
But it is not the solution
Our configuration XP64, office 2007 and adobe9 pro
    Can you help me?

You're not crazy. CP3 did allow you to select background image or animation upon importing a PPT. I miss this feature for many reasons, one of them being the inability to copy and paste a background. I usually import a blank slide along with my PPTs so I can paste the background onto question slides, but this serves no purpose now b/c you can't copy the background of an animation slide. Why did Adobe get rid of that option!?
Having said that - I think I'm having a similar issue, but mine is with text. CP randomly selects a portion of a sentence or two to repeat on random slides throughout the project. I tried remimporting using different settings and each time it selects a totally different portion to repeat.
It's an imported PPT slide - so it's not something I accidentaly set to display rest of project. It happens on preview IN CP and in the published version, but you can't see it when you're editing slides.

  • Creating PDFs from PowerPoint Tables that InDesign Can Handle

Hi - I just posted the question below on the InDesign forum, but I think it may actually be a Microsoft-Adobe-pdf issue.  Any help is much appreciated.
Hi All, this is my first post on the Adobe Community.  I problem cropped up in the last week and i am going crazy.  Please help!!  I am running on  a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.7.5.
I have been using a workflow to create tables in InDesign for months with no issues:
    1.  Calculate a complex table in Excel
    2.  Paste the table into PowerPoint for formatting
    3.  Copy the table in PowerPoint, then paste it back as a pdf image
    4.  Option-click on the pdf image on the slide to save it as a pdf file
    5.  Go to a frame InDesign that already has a linked image, re-link to the new pdf file.
This workflow has been very helpful because I have a lot of complex and carfully formatted tables I need to get into InDesign.  Now, since upgrading both my Microsoft Office 2011 and my Adobe CS6 SW it not working.
I can copy, paste-as-pdf, save the pdf file.   But when I try to link to it in InDesign it get the message "Failed to open the pdf file."
I can still link to older pdf files with no problem, and I can use this work flow on text-only pdf files from PowerPoint.  The pdf files that contain tables are not linking into InDesign.  I have tried to do the past-as-pdf into Microsoft Word and the behavior is the same.
All the pdf files look fine in Acrobat.
Thank you very much for any assistance.
    -Cecelia

It's a matter of efficiency as much as anything else. I read too many
reports here of people having problems printing previewing or working
with PDFs and it often comes back to preview.
It's fine for JPGs but PDFs? No, especially those generated by InDesign.
Why open them in preview only to find a problem when Reader or Acrobat
are far better applications? It just seems horribly inefficient to have
preview set as the default for PDFs only to find an problem and then
have to quit preview and open Reader or Acrobat.

  • PDF embedded in Powerpoint

    Hi folks.
This problem occurred after I converted a PDF file from PowerPoint and then embedded it in PowerPoint slides. Whenever I tried to open and scroll through pages from the embedded PDF, the message "error in processing pages...(23)" would pop up. But I have no trouble whatsoever with PDF created from Word or Excel. Had tried uninstall/reinstall Acrobat, nothing changed.
I'm using Acrobat Pro 9, MS Office 2007 and Windows Vista.
    Any ideas? Thanks.

    Thanks for replying.
Yeah I can, by inserting as an object. I have tried other PDFs they all worked without problems, which were not converted from Powerpoint.
By opening the individual file, it's fine but not within the slides.

  • Embedding a PDF file into PowerPoint 2010, clickable in SlideShow mode

If you embed a PDF file into PowerPoint slide by both draging and dropping or instering it as an object, only the first page of the PDF is embedded as a picture or you can change it to a PDF icon.
When in design mode, the embedded PDF is clickable and is opened in Adobe Reader (either from the PowerPoint slide if directly insterted or from its physical path if linked depending on the configuration).
But in slide show mode, the picture or the icon is not clickable.
The only workaround is to assign a hyperlink to the picture or the icon (the insterted object).
Is there any other way in opening a PDF file from PowerPoint Slide Show without assigning a hyperlink ??

    Hi,
Assign a hyperlink is the only way to accomplish Open file (.pdf, .docx, .xlsx) from PowerPoint Slide Show.
From PowerPoint slide show, it only identify the file with hyperlink.
    Best Regards.
