PDF Print error win printing many pages

Hi.
I have a problem then I try to print an PDF file with many pages.
I have Windows 2003 as the OS, and the Adobe PDF Reader X 10.1 as my PDF reader, the printer is an HP LaserJet M602n with 512MB Memory.
The setup is that we have some thin clients that have the printer driver, the driver is HP LaserJet 4200n or HP LaserJet 4050n, and it works fin on the HP LaserJet M602 with small PDF files and Word and other text files.
But then I print PDF files with many pages it is spooling fin but win it is going to print it says error, with out the printer is doing anything.
Will a print server help me?
Or is there a solution to my problem?

Hello
Before re-installing, it may be useful to
a - repair permissions with Disk Utility
b - trash the preferences file: <bootVolume>:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork.Pages.plis t
if it's not sufficient, try to print from an other user account.
If it works this way, you will know that the application's files are not the wrongdoers as every account calls the same application file.

  • Pdf prints last page mirrored and upsidedown

    Last year, my old tower Mac (OSX10.7.X)  suddenly began printing out the last page (only) of any PDF with an odd number of pages inverted in both vertical and horizontal axes (i.e. upside down mirror-writing), when doing double-sided printing on our HP Color Laserjet CP4005dn.  Single sided printing from the same Mac and PDF worked fine. The same last page also prints correctly if I simply chose to print that page alone.  I do not have the 'flip horizontal' checkbox ticked.  I could find no solution.
    I bought an iMac 27" late 2013 with OSX 10.9.4, all upgrades installed.  I still have the same problem.  I repeat, this only happens in double-sided printing (selected 'long edge binding' under Layout) of the last page of a PDF with odd-numbered pages.  Word docx  and other documents print just fine from the same computer and printer with same settings in the Print dialogue.
    Any suggestions?

    Well, it's time to ask Adobe for help... Probably some preference file corrupted or similar...
    On the other hand, personally, I would be trying some generic maintenance right now -
    Reset Printing System:
    OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
    Startup from Recovery partition (or any other bootable drive) and repair the disk drive using Disk Utility:
    (read just the 1st paragraph About Recovery from this)
    OS X: About OS X Recovery
    consider downloading and re-updating using the COMBO updater (this isn't from Software Update/App Store):
    OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Update (Combo)
    (or similar for Lion)
    OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)

  • PDF prints last page corrupt

    I have this issue sometimes, not everytime and not on every PDF but the last page on small PDF files or the last few pages on larger PDF files just come out corrput.
    If I re-print these last pages they then print fine.
    I have found a workaround where I send the document to print as an image and this seems to work fine but I would like to get to the bottom of whats going on with this pringin the last page corrupt.
    Someone else must have had this issue.
    Cheers Daniel.

  • Printing many pages per sheets

    Hi!
    I have some kind of report to print. I want to be able to print up to 6 on a single page. I always have the same infos to print.
    They are as this:
    P.O. #: 000-001
    By: Employee 001
    Date: 01-01-2004
    Product: 102103
    Title: THIS PRODUCT NAME
    UPC: 1234567890000
    For: M. Bobby
    Tel: 514-765-4321
    Email: [email protected]
    I don't want to spoil a whole sheet for each order. What I'd like to do with it would be something like this:
    | | |
    | order 1 | order 2 |
    |_____________|______________|
    | | |
    | order 3 | order 4 |
    |_____________|______________|
    | | |
    | order 5 | order 6 |
    |_____________|______________|
    Is there a way I could do this? I searched the whole forum and the best thing I though of would be to convert them into Graphics and print them this way.
    Any better way?
    P.S. I'd also need to be able to print only 3 if there are only that much.
    | | |
    | order 1 | order 2 |
    |_____________|______________|
    | | |
    | order 3 | |
    |_____________| |
    | |
    | |
    |____________________________|
    Thank you!
    Carl
    (sorry for the formatting... the spaces won't show up... But I guess you understand anyways...)

    do you want to print 6 pages per page, or just combine 6 results/orders on the same page? if you want to combine 6 orders, than maybe you could use some array of strings, and "format" those strings before printing them out. for example, if you have only 3 orders, you would have something like
    s[0] = "-----------------------";
    s[1] = "| order 1 | order 2 |";
    s[2] = "-----------------------";
    s[3] = "| order 3 |";
    but if you had 6 orders, they would look like:
    s[0] = "-----------------------";
    s[1] = "| order 1 | order 2 |";
    s[2] = "-----------------------";
    s[3] = "| order 3 | order 4 |";
    etc.
    i'm not sure i understood what you're trying to do though, so this might be complete BS.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI will not print to pdf. Error message says no pages selected.

    When I try to print a document created with Acrobat XI (recently updated), I get an error message telling me that no pages were selected. On the print window the "All" radio button is selected but the others are grayed out and not selectable. This was not a problem before I upgraded to XI.

    Hi marsha's angels,
    Please see No pages selected printing error (Printing & Prepress).
    If the solutions listed there don't do the trick, please let us know. It'll help us narrow down the problem if you can let us know what operating system you have, and whether the printing error is specific to one file, or occurs with any file that you try to print.
    Best,
    Sara

  • PDFs print blank page with URL on top

    Whenever I try to print a PDF from within Safari XP 4.0.4, I get a blank page with just the URL on the top line and page 1 of 1 on the bottom. I don't know if it's different when I click the printer icon or go to file/print. Help?

    Just doublechecking. Are other PDFs currently printing properly for you, George? (Say, if you're printing them directly from your Reader as opposed to printing them through Safari's Adobe PDF plugin?)

  • Reader XI (11.0.05) pdf prints partial page

    I am using Reader 11.0.05 and having trouble getting a whole page to print.  Need to somehow be able to shrink to fit, but that is not an option.
    Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Reader.  Have checked and updated printer drivers.  Have used a different printer all with the same result.
    Any ideas?

    Try 'Print as Image' (Advanced button on Print panel).
    Or what if you use 'Fit' under Page Sizing & Handling?

  • Since upgrade to Firefox 29, PDFs print blank pages (Win7Pro/Brother HL5240) - how do I fix this bug?

    I think this is the same problem that others have but I have been unable to get a fix to work. Wish I hadn't upgraded from 28.0

    hello Road_runner, unfortunately this is currently a bug in the integrated firefox pdf viewer that is investigated by our developers and getting addressed. in the meantime you could use a third-party pdf plugin like from adobe that you can enable in the firefox ''options > applications'' - scroll down and define the default action for the '''portable document format (pdf)'''.

    Hi,
    Sorry I can't work out your question BUT if you wish to merge many pdf files to one pdf file you can use this free program (download from the following link):
       http://www.pdfsam.org/?page_id=32
    This program also allows you to split one big unprotected pdf file to many smaller pdf files such as extract few chapters from a thick book.
    Regards.

  • 1020 Prints blank pages

    HP printer 1020 Q5911A built in August 2007 fails to print after install.  (posted to another solved thread).
     I bought a used 1020 (circa 2007 with 2400 pages printed) for some friends.  Upon connecting to their Dell desktop, it took off, loaded the USB drivers from window's site, then some drivers from HP's site.  Attempts to print cause flashing red and green lights alternately, followed by the printing of a blank page.  I tried my laptop but to no avail.  I took it home for a more careful analysis which follows:
      I have an identical 1020 which I'm very happy with. (circa 2006 with 2400 pages)  I downloaded the LJ1018_1020_1022_Full_Solution Original CD install application and the HP Printer Scan Doctor to a thumb drive.  By deleting the 1020 printer and reinstalling from scratch, my 1020 prints fine. Connecting my friend's 1020, deleting the 1020 and reinstalling the software, it will not print the test page as requested.  Upon re-doing this procedure, I observed that on the first attempt to print the test page, the printer alternately flashes the red and green lights and prints a blank page.  Additional attempts to print the test page causes a solid green light and a blank page printed.  After several successive attempts to print the test page(5-6), it started printing a document I may have  attempted to print much earlier (days). But nothing showed in the queue.  It continued to print this document on the next several attempts to print the test page, but I can no longer be duplicate this behavior.  This shows that the fuser, etc., is working.  (The printed test page by the former owner is what sold me on the purchase.)  I installed another toner cartridge, but no change.
      I ran the HP Printer Scan Doctor.  Everything checks out OK.  I'm a retired computer test developer, so I know my way around, but this has me stumped.

    Let me clarify. Upon connecting the printer to my friends system, it took off and loaded USB drivers and HP software, but would only print blank pages.  One of the pages I chose to print was a scratch document, which appeared to go to the printer with flashing lights on the printer as normal, and I assume it got stored in the printer's memory.  By making the printer not-ready (no paper), attempts to print the test page, caused them to show up in the queue.  Making the printer ready w/paper caused it to apparently transfer the files to the printer, but they came out blank. (I'm not sure how this works:  Does the software in the host construct the test page using data collected during device initialization and send the page to the printer, [which I suspect], or does the printer construct the page on the fly locally and print it?) This was true whether using the Dell desktop or my Lenovo laptop.  After deleting the printer and reloading the software on my laptop, the symptoms remained.  So I took the printer home to troubleshoot it.  Hooking up my printer to my laptop, it would not print until I deleted the printer and reloaded the software.  (I take it that there is some data that is specific to the printer that prevents switching printers without reloading the software- perhaps microcode difference.  But it appears to download new microcode everytime the software is reloaded.  Many years ago I redesigned the Dot Matrix printer tester when IBM went from the 40/80 chars/sec to the 120 cps, so I know that interface, but now everything is intelligent.)
      Running the scan tool showed everything working properly, so I assume that its was doing some communications tests as well as some self tests.  No !'s.
      Having limited visibility to the internals, I just kept trying to run the test page several times.  The first  page after software reload causes red/green alternately flashing during file transfer, followed by the printing of a blank page.  Subsequent attempts printed blank pages, That is untill I kept trying and all of a sudden it started printing the scratch document that I had requested it to print many pages before and over at my friend's house.  So it appears that it just kept walking through old memory in the printer and printing whatever it found there, and not the freshly downloaded test page.  Wierd!  This it continued for 3-4 test pages, probably because I had previously requested it to print the scratch document several times.  Like the pointer is not getting (re)set to the correct location in the printer memory after downloading the file.
      My laptop runs windows 7.  Not sure about my friend Dell, but the symtoms are the same.  I appreciate the instructions for a complete uninstall, etc and I will try that.  However, I don't have  to do that to get it to run my 1020 which is only a year older.  I can't imagine they changed the pc card in the printer, tho that could happen.  Its like its getting the wrong microcode.  How do I interrogate the pc card, or does all that show up on the test page.  And can the test page be redirected out of the queue to a file so that it can be examined using document software.
      I will download the software and do the procedure as you suggest.  However, I hate to do this on my fully functional laptop using my printer. The printer is connected directly to a USB port on the computer.
      As a EE, and having the same problem both at my friends house and mine, and with my printer and my friend's printer plugged into the same power strip, I think a power strip problem is remote indeed.
      I'll post another reply after I run the HP Printer Install Wizard and report the results.
    Thanks much.

  • My firefox downloads print first page correctly, remainder are outside page borders

    My firefox, when I want to download to printer or to PDF, prints first page ok, remainder have large font causing only left part of page printed.

    Looks like you have '''Print Background (color & images)''' enabled on for all three printers you have installed, Adobe PDF included. ''I see those settings in your More system details.'' That's why you are getting the grey (monochrome Laserjet) or blue background, but that should be printed on the first page, too.
    File > Page Setup - un-check that preference

  • I can't get many pages out of my Officejet 6500

    My new Office Jet 6500 doesn't print many pages before it runs out of ink. I have an old Photo Smart P1000 that I get twice as many printed pages from. What the heck is wrong???

    There are a couple of things to consider.  First, the low on ink indicator is an estimate designed to give a warning enough in advance to allow you to have time to buy a fresh supply.  You do not need to replace the ink when you get the warning, you can wait until it actually runs out.  Secondly, some ink is used for servicing the printheads.  This printer has individual ink supplies and printheads (IIC).  The printer is most efficient when actually printing.  If the printer is used very infrequently a different model may be more suitable.  See this page for a desciption of how ink is used.
    You might consider the XL versions of the cartridges, they typically have about three times the ink at twice the price.  For plain paper printing you might try printing in fast draft mode, this provides print quality that is adequate.  Fast draft mode uses about half the ink of normal or best mode.

  • Print Problem - PDF is OK on Windows 7, but OK on Windows XP with "Acrobat Reader An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem."

    I have received a PDF which prints fine in Windows 7 but with Windows XP I get "Acrobat Reader An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem." and a blank piece of paper passes through the printer. I appreciate that Windows XP is no longer supported but I would like to think that the solution to this problem is not too difficult!
    I have tried Acrobat 9, 10 and 11.
    Any advice (apart from use Windows 7! ) would be most welcome.
    Many thanks.

    If you use the same Adobe Reader versions with the same PDF on Windows 7 and XP, then I would expect the outcome to be the same.
    Is this a local or online PDF?
    If local, is the file really exactly the same?
    If online, in what browser?

  • I am using Firefox 11 and I am unable to print web pages. I can print PDFs ok. I tried to open the prefs.js file to delete anything that starts with print and I get an error message.

    I cannot print web pages. I've tried the solutions suggested like deleting anything that starts with print in the prefs.js file but I get an error message: Script: c:\users\rick\appdata\roading\mozilla\firefox\profiles\iviwh5c1.default\prefs.js
    line: 1
    Char: 1
    Error: invalid character
    code: 800A03F6
    Source: Microsoft JScript compilation error

    When editing '''prefs.js''' you need to use a simple text editor program. WinXP Notepad messes up the line formatting of prefs.js, so I use Wordpad - but you need to save the edited file in a Text-Only format (Wordpad asks about that when you go to save the edited file). I never used Win7, so I don't know if that version of Notepad messes with the line formatting of prefs.js or not.
    Another thing - make sure '''''"Hide extensions for known file types"''''' is de-delected in Windows file / folder options > view -> advanced settings. Otherwise Windows may add a .txt file extension that you won't be able to see, and that will break that file in Firefox. '''prefs.js.txt''' won't be recognized by Firefox, when is expecting to find '''''prefs.js''''' .
