PDF reader with inverted colors

Do you guys know any pdf reader that's able to invert colors so the eyes won't hurt so much from reading?
I've heard foxit reader is able to do that, but there's no 64bit version in packages. Supposedly okular has that function too, but it's qt based and I'd rather avoid it.

xpdf. Use the reverse video option (-rv). It's fast too

Strange PDF files printing inverted colors!?

I help support an office with several macs. Two of my remote office computers have an odd problem. In Apple Preview PDF files print inverted colors. If I open the PDF in Adobe reader they print normal. They are both trying to print to Samsung ML320 printers. I have yet to find any settings in Preview or in the printer setup that would allow this to happen. For now my fix is to set Adobe reader as the default application for viewing PDF files. Worked until one employee (also running Mac) sent the remote offices a PDF file attached in Apple Mail. Somehow ONLY PDF files from this person force default to Apple Preview. How can a file override system settings to choose it's default app? Strange and again only files coming for this particular mac force a default to Preview app. So it seems these two problems combined are making things difficult here. Anyone have any ideas?

I am still having this issue on a users machine. It is to the point where I may just reimage the whole laptop. The end user went to print a two page PDF from Apple Preview the other day and the first page was inverted and the second was not! How is this possible? The PDF is fine when printed from other machines and again only Apple Preview does this. I can use Adobe PDF reader and it prints normal.

Playboy PDF's have inverted colors on iPad? But not on Mac.

Can anyone tell me why some-of the Playboy PDF's I downloaded have inverted colors when viewed on any iPad PDF Reader, including iBooks? But are not inverted on my Mac. And how would I fix this? Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem. I've got a ton of pdf documents that I created using a program called Scansoft PDF Creator, from web documents. They work and look perfectly fine on my Windows PC when viewed with Adobe Reader X. But when I try to read them on my iPad 2 using iBooks, all of the photos appear to have their colors inverted.
It's hard to blame this on the pdf creator program, because Adobe Reader X renders them just fine. This has got to be a bug in the iPad 2.
Incidentally I did try a system reset (thanks for the suggestion) but it did not change anything.
I hope Apple can provide a fix other than telling me to do something to modify my pdf files.

4S: How do I keep camera in regular mode with "Invert Colors" to on?

On an iPhone 4S w OS7.1, how do I keep the camera in regular mode (not negative image) and keep the "Invert Colors" swith to active or pink or (1).

In disk mode the Nano will mount on the desktop like any removable dive, just drag the files you want onto it

Drag them back from the Nano to your computer

You would probably need to restore it to factory settings to start the process again

You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. Then go to Preferences>iPod and check the "Manually manage songs and playlists" box. It won't update automatically in manual mode. You can also remove the tick from the box which says "Open iTunes when this iPod is attached".

PDF files with wrong colors

I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I probably cannot guess the right search string to find the relevant thread.
I've recently upgraded from FM6 Mac to FM9 Win. My old FM6 documents have two kinds of problems in FM9:
1) replaced fonts horizontally scaled to 80%
2) colors looking good on the display, but bad when converted to PDF
As for issue #1, I couldn't do other than editing all the paragraph styles. But eventually I could solve it in a way or the other.
But issue #2, I cannot seem to come to an end with it. The original color was a Pantone swatch, that I can also find in the Win version of FM. In fact, when opening the FM file, it looks at it used to do on the Mac.
However, either I save as PDF from the File > Save to PDF menu command, or print a file using the PDF driver (with the Press Quality selected), the resulting color is wrong. What used to be a Grey-Blue Pantone 191-7, is now some sort of Cyan. Tones change slightly whether I convert using the Print > Do not save file trick, or use Acrobat Distiller 8 on the Mac with different settings; but the original color is never reproduced.
Oddly, an EPS file in the same FM file looks perfectly good - the original color is there. What a contrast with the oddly-colored text and lines in the remaining parts of the document!
Maybe someone has already gone through this issue, and has a solution for me. I'm literally loosing my sleep to try to solve this issue.

In short words, for the "Save as PDF" CMYK version:
- Spot colors from imported definitions are converted to CMYK
- Spot colors from FM Pantone library are correctly output as Pantone colors *
- Spot colors in imported EPS files are always correctly output
* I was able to nail down the spot color bug: The critical element is the "Name of color" entry in the color definition dialog (below the dropdown/entry field "Name"). If there is a name, then the color will be correctly output as a pantone color. You can see this, if you define a color taken from the FM library, they all contain a "Name of color" entry. Self-defined colors or colors which came in by graphics import don't contain a name there, and are output as CMYK colors.
You can fix this behaviour, if you save your FM files as MIF, and add the required lines at the color definitions yourself. I for example used self defined spot colors, and added the lines
<ColorLibraryFamilyName `WambaSamba self-defined'>
<ColorLibraryInkName `WambaSamba Blue'>

Pdf reader with text flow / wrapping, for N810

Has anyone installed a pdf reader that allows for text flow (also called wrapping), so that you can magnify a pdf without getting into a left-right scroll situation? Without this feature it seems impossible to read pdfs on this device, except in a pinch. If you found one, what app is it and where did you get it? And are you completely satisfied with it?

PDF reader with tab function?

I have downloaded many PDF readers looking for one that I can fill out pdf documents in, and use the tab key to move on to the next box instead of having to tap the screen. Does anyone know of a pdf reader that will do this? The tab key function? I don't even know if they make an ipad pdf app with this option. Thanks to all for any information. I am tired of downloading and then rinse and repeat looking for one.

Just incase anyone else is have the same problem, the closes thing I have found is an app called Type on PDF. But you have to make a templete of your PDF file, to get the correct field sizes and such..not an complacated as it sounds. But kinda *****, because I am a real estate agent and have hundreds of forms that I will have to go though and make templetes of in order to feel them out in ease. But its worth it to me, and it might be to others :) still open to suggestion if anyone knows of a program that fits my needs. Thanks to all who took the time to read this.

IPhone 5s often starts with inverted colors.

For a few months my wife's iPhone 5s has been starting with inverted colours. She thought it must be "something she'd done". I found out that 3 home key clicks toggles inverted colours on and off, so it's easy to change back, but there is no explanation why this has happened.
Is this indicative of a developing hardware issue. Typically, it is just out of warranty by a few days.

PDF reader with highlighting

I'm looking for a PDF reader for the iPhone where you can see any highlighting you've done to your documents before loading them on the phone. I don't care about doing highlighting on the phone itself, but I haven't found a reader that let's you see any highlighting you've already done on the computer before uploading. Help?

Yes, iAnnotate is excellent. It provides for uploading of files via the iTunes USB connection. Go to the Apps tab once you are connected (and after you click on your iPad), scroll down, and click on iAnnotate/Add/browse to your files that you want uploaded.
It has lots of highlight, comment, and other features.

PDF opens with text & colors, no pictures..

I downloaded a guide from FilePlanet which is in partnership with Adobe I deduced, because there is absolutely no other way to open any of their files except with Digital Editions, and their website tells you directly that this is the only program that will open their files. Once you download it, you cannot redownload it. This is for all strategy guides and other magazines they offer for downloads.
I downloaded 2 guides and I already had Acrobat Reader 8, all up to date with Adobe Updater (since I use Photoshop all the time), and I installed DE, it opens the guides fine but there is just words, all the pictures of games and what not are not there, it's just words and layout colors and patterns. And I'm 90% positive even not all the words are there.
Any ideas? p.s. I am running on a Windows machine.

I am trying to Copy paste some content from PDF reader with no success

Hi,
I am new here, hope I will find the answer to my prob.
I am currently working on an Ebook I plan publishing, discussing affiliate marketing.
I am using some resources from other Ebooks I purchased and have in hand.
* While I am trying to copy paste some content, it does copy, but when trying to place it in a notepad file, the content is being copied as gibberish. (signs and spaces).
I've tried using microsoft word, then i totally gets out of contrast.
Did anyone experience something alike?

This is common. In this case it may be done to protect the copyright
content of the ebook from reuse. Since the amount you can use under
fair use is only a few sentences, it shouldn't take too long to
retype...

Convert PDF Document to PDF with Spot Color

I want to convert a regular PDF document with RGB/CMYK color profile to one with Spot color. Can this be done using Acrobat X Pro, if so How?

I am still working on the process to automate the conversion of PDF file with RGB color profile to Spot.
I am nearly there, here is the method...
1. Have a prefight profile with the spot color fixes. For now I put in 10 colors.
2. Wrote a Javascript that will invoke the preflight profile
3. Cretated an application (AutoSpotFix) in VC++ and Acrobat SDK that will open the document and assign the javascript function to 'WillSave' document action. The AutoSpotFix will then trigger the save on the document.
Java script had to be involved because SDK cannot invoke the preflight profile.
Now my problem is the document can contain any spot color, I need to
a) Either put in the thousands of spot color into my preflight profile, which will take days to do. Or I can create a preflight profile file (*.kfp) and load it, which is an XML file.
b) Dynamically load the preflight profile file with the few current colors, for which I need to dynamically create the preflifgt profile.
Either way I have to create the *.kfp file, Is there a way to create the Preflight profile file?

Good pdf reader 2010

Id'like to know a good pdf reader. I'm looking in particular for a fast pdf reader with some possibilities like copying text and images.
I have compal cl 56 1.5 GHz dothan RAM 1 giga
Test on a 437,7k pdf file (3 pages)
okular have all features but is incredibly slow to load initially and each pages!
load pdf 10 s load pages
evince-gtk does not have all features load pdf 21s load pages 0 s
If I open a pdf created of 577KB created by openoffice loading is much faster about 1 second which okay!
Why is that?

You can find a lot of info out there with google! Try out a bunch and see what you like best in the end!

Anyway, there's some more reading. I use Evince... more or less because I'm used to it. I have had problems printing every once in a while, and I hate that it's default is not to display continuously (requiring a pg dn at a page break).
For editing (annotating and misc) I have used either pdfEdit or gimp.

If I pay for a second copy of PDF reader and download, will my existing files be erased

I use my ipad for business and personal. I purchased PDF reader with my business signon. I would like to purchase same app with personal signon so that when I sync ipad, I don't have to supply 2 different addresses. My question is - if I download a new PDF reader, will the files I currently have loaded on the ipad with this application be erased? There are over 1000 files at this point.

Thanks for your reply. I need to re-word my question - I want to replace my current PDF reader with the same reader purchased until my personal id. If I replace the app, will the files I have added still be there, or will they go away. (This is to keep from having to sign in to two different accounts to sync the ipad.)
