PDF save options missing

I installed Visio 2010, activated it and it worked... it saved PDFs as expected and allowed us to select a page range to export as PDF. Then one day, it gave us a warning that we needed to activate. Oh well, I thought, and entered the activation info again
and the message went away. It was around this time, the user says, that the PDF options disappeared. Now he needs to export all pages to PDF since there is no option to select a range, then he uses Acrobat to delete the pages he doesn't want. We've had a few
people look at it, and found lots of instructions on the web that suggest we click "options" to choose a page range, but there is no longer any page range options or an "options" button when saving as PDF. Any ideas what happened?

Most simplest way : repair Visio 2010 or reinstall it :)
FREE C# Word  component is being evaluated, any recommendation is appreciated.
Thanks and Regards

  • PDF Optimizer option missing under Advanced menu

    Hello,
I am using Acrobat 9.4.  I am aware that the PDF optimizer option is under the Advanced menu at the top.  However, that option seems to have disappeared.  Per the Adobe help file, I am looking in the right spot, but the option is gone.
Is there a way to recover that option?  I have searched Google and found someone with the same problem on another forum, but no answers were posted.

If you are running Std, then I do not think that option is available. You need to specify which version of Acrobat you are using, not just the level numer. I.E., Std, Pro, or Pro Extended.

  • Satellite M30: Power Saver options missing after motherboard replacement

    Hi all,
I've just received my laptop back from the service center, and unsurprisingly they stuffed up a feature that used to exist!
I had taken my laptop (M30 1.7GHz Special Edition) to the repair center for a defect and they informed me that the motherboard needed to be replaced. I received the laptop back a couple of days ago and I immediately noticed the laptop getting overheated, the fan did not turn on as frequently as it used to when setting the profile to "Full Power".
After hours of investigation, I noticed that a few options that used to exist in the Toshiba Power Saver does NOT exist anymore. Thus, I feel my laptop is running as in battery optimised even though it's set to full power.
As I said, the fan is not turning on as frequently, leading to the laptop getting overheated. While the fan used to be almost constantly ON on full power prior to the replacement of the motherboard.
Here's how the power saver used to look like "prior" to taking the laptop to the repair center:
    http://www.foxpop.com/imre/2006/toshibatecram3review/toshibapowersaver1.gif
And here's how the power saver looks like now, after the replacement of the motherboard:
    http://www.ixbt.com/portopc/toshiba-satellite/power.png
with the CPU processing speed maximum of 3, instead of 4.
Notice how I'm now missing the "CPU control method" option, and I'm unable to set the processing speed to more than level 3!
The cooling method does not seem maximum performance to me either, due to the symptoms I mentioned above.
Any idea on why that might have happend? Please note that I used the system recovery CD and returned everything to the factory settings, still no luck. I'm sick and tired of going back to their lousy repair center. If someone can point out the problem I will be very grateful.
P.S. I'm using version 7 of the power saver, BIOS verion 1.4 (original)
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
I wonder why you did not contact the service guys again.
After the reparation everything should works fine and if the notebook does not run properly you should immediately report it! In my opinion its a warranty claim.
However, in my knowledge after the motherboard replacement the micro code on the board must be updated therewith the CPU could run with full performance.
What CPU speed appears in the windows system?
Im not 100% sure if the missing microcode update is responsible for your problem but I would recommend asking the ASP for opinion.

  • Adobe PDF Printer Options missing (OS X 10.5.4 & Acrobat 8.1.2)

    Hello,
I recently upgraded to 10.5.4 and my PDF options when printing to a PDF via Adobe PDF are no longer available (ie. selecting the PDF creation type). Is this yet another bug with OS X & Adobe?
    Regards,
    Kristin.

Yep, that fixed it. Repairing Acrobat Installation didn't work on its own though I had to manually remove the PPD from all the affected machines and then re-run the repair.

  • Aperture 3 save PDF to folder as JPEG option missing from PDF services?

I have Aperture 3 downloaded from the App store in a MAC OSX 10.6.7 but the save PDF to folder as jPEG option is missing from the print menu? I do not have discs to re-install Aperture so can I add a workflow directly to the PDF services library and if so where can I get a copy of this workflow?

Hi frank, thanks for the advice, I am very new to Apple and Aperture. I think I am looking at the second print menu, I am basically trying to add text to a phot and have followed this online guide
    http://photo.rwboyer.com/2010/02/07/aperture-book-tool-screen-cast-take-two/
I can do everything except the last part which is save PDF to folder as JPEG. My version of aperture does not give me this option and I only have access to the following:
    Open PDF in preview
    Save as PDF
    Save as Post Script
    Mail PDF
    Save as PDF-X
    Save PDF to iPhoto
Save PDF to web receipts folder
    Pictures
    Edit Menu
There is no option to Save PDF to folder as JPEG and I cannot add this function from the Edit menu? Previous discussions suggest re-installing Aperture 3 but I downloaded this from the App store so do not have discs to reinstall?
    Thanks
    Mike

  • Cancel Save Workflow option missing in R17 env

Has anyone noticed the cancel save option in WF is missing in my R17 env.
Can anyone confirm if they have it in any of their R17 env ?

    Hi Everyone,
We were a little surprised by this as well. We had built quite a few CO validations with it and at this time will probably rollback the validations until certification is complete.
The following is an excerpt taken directly from the June 2010 patch release notes:
    Oracle CRM On Demand
    Release 17
    Patch Release Notes
    1142.0.02
"Cancel Save option in Workflow exposed on record types other than Opportunity (CR 12-1XVXFX5)
The Cancel Save feature was released in 1083.0.00 for the Opportunity record type only. It was
inadvertently exposed on other record types and is not certified by Oracle CRM On Demand. If you
have already used this feature you will receive the following privilege so you can either roll back the
use of this feature (recommended) or continue usage at your own risk:
    Privilege Category: Customization: Business Rules
    Privilege Name: Workflow Cancel Save
Privilege Description: Prevent save operation on 'Before Modified Record Saved' workflow events.
This privilege is dependent on the Manage Data Rules - Manage Workflow Rules privilege. The
privilege allows the use of this feature on the following record types:
    1. Account
    2. Activity
    3. Contact
    4. Custom Object 1
    5. Custom Object 2
    6. Custom Object 4
    7. Household
    8. Lead
    9. Revenue
    10. Service Request
This feature is not supported on any other record types.
If you have used the Cancel Save feature, and have not received this privilege or the privilege is inactive, the Cancel
Save section for the above record types:
    - is not visible in the workflow creation page
    - is read-only in the workflow edit and detail pages
Customers who have not yet used this feature may use it on the Opportunity record type only which is not
restricted by the above privilege and is certified for all customers.
Certification of this feature for the record types listed above is currently underway and will be available in a
    forthcoming release."

  • How do i get the "open with" option back for pdfs after accidentally hitting the save option which now automatically saves any pdf?

Normally when I click on a pdf I would get an option to "Open With" or Save. I usually just opened pdfs first. I accidentally clicked on the Save option in this dialog box and now when I click on any pdf it automatically asks me where I want to save it. I want to get the "open With" option back, because I don't necessarily want to save a copy of every pdf.

Mountain Lion was released in 2012, so I suppose there might be advice in old threads or on the Apple forums if you don't get a response here right away.

  • Save option disabled in Reader 7 when another user works on the same PDF

Hi, I'm a first time user of Acrobat Pro 8.1 and 9. I'm creating PDF forms. When I open the forms in Reader 7 and work on them, I can directly save it, I do not have to do 'Save as'. However, when I copy this document on another machine, open it in Reader 7 and make changes, the 'save' option is disabled, whereas, I can do a 'Save as'.
My client does not want to do a "Save as'. They want to modify the original document and just click 'save'.
I would like to know if this is an internal feature of Reader 7. Please provide a solution, if any
P.S: I'm enabling usage rights in Acrobat Professional, still the Save option is not available in machines which don't have Acrobat Professional.

The document can be copied on another machine in two ways:
    1. The document can be sent by mail and copied to the recipients local drive.
    2. It can be placed on a share drive and copied on another machine.
I am enabling rights through Advanced> Enable usage rights in Acrobat Professional 8.1. Do I need the Adobe Livecycle Reader extension software as well to enable local save in Reader 7?
    Please provide me a solution.

  • Missing .pdf print options

Recently installed iWork on Leopard 10.5.1, (cannot install 10.5.2 as I am still dial-up-apparent conflicts yet ti be resolved by Apple). In the process I no longer have the 7 pdf options in the file print menu. I have only mail pdf, save to iphoto, save as pdf-x, and save pdf to mail receipts. As I publish a newsletter I need the "compress .pdf" option back. Any ideas? Worked in Tiger without a hitch.

It appears that they left this feature out of Leopard. However you can download a program off the Apple Website to restore that functionality. Heres the link.

  • SAVE option is missing in my File dropdown

When I open an image in PS CS3 and make a change to it, I used to be able to just click File->Save to save the changes, and I still can on my second PS copy on my laptop.  But on my PC Save is no longer there.  How can I get it back?  The screen below was with an open jpg file in 8-bit sRGB that I made a simple change to and as you can see, the Save option isn't there.

    Very strange.
Try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776?tstart=0
You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
If that doesn't bring it back I can only think the installation has become corrupted.
Does Ctrl+S bring up the save dialog on a new file?
