Pdf stops ie v 11 when opening as an attachment or apellett

when visiting a page, i opened a splash page and this action shut internet explorer down. repeated attempts caused the same action. how can i configure the ie to overcome intrusive adds, etc, if that is the reason?
I am using version 11 of ie

We have several VIP employees that are getting the following error on all PowerPoint documents that come as attachments from Outlook.
I have researched and tried the following steps and verified these settings are already applied.
I did find a work around but not a fix and our security team will NOT allow me to change this setting however if I uncheck the setting all employees can open the outlook attachment.
Any other ideas on a fix for this if I am unable to uncheck Enable Protected View.

It looks like nobady really find a solution there, the only workaround is what you have found - change the protected view setting in Trust Center. You will lose some security by doing this but it seems to be the only solid solution currently.

PDF form data not visible when opened in Illustrator CS5

I've been searching the forums but have been unable to find an answer to my specific problem.
I've created a form using Adobe Acrobat Pro. The PDF form fields are then populated with data via Netsuite. When I open the PDF (with data) in Acrobat all of the information shows up, however when I open the PDF in Illustrator CS5 the field data is not visible. Is there a way to force the data to be visible when opened in Illustrator?

You could try first flattenening the fields. This converts the field appearances to regular page contents. You can do this with JavaScript, PDF Optimizer, or a Preflight fixup.

Save a PDF that preserves the size when opening.

I start with my photoshop file. I save as a pdf. When opening PDF it opens 2X the size of my orginal photoshop file. I then hit command 0 to see orginal size, but it still is much bigger than my photoshop file.
I would like the best viewing experinece for my PDF and I want it to open exactly the size of my photoshop file. It is annoying when it opens bigger. How do I do this?

Well, your "Viewing size" is really an abstract idea. The size you see it on screen obviously depends on your zoom factor. In Photoshop you might view it at 100%. In Acrobat, you can't really see it at 100% pixel size. The Acrobat defaults are to open documents as continuous pages, single pages, fit page in window, maximize the width on screen etc.
Also consider that 100% pixel view in Photoshop is not 100% size in Acrobat, because Acrobat considers the size of the document in inches or cm. But 100% pixel view in PS will be the same if it's 72dpi or 300dpi. See you might have a 1000 px wide image, and in PS the 1:1 view takes up, let's say for example, almost your whole screen (if your monitor is 1280x1024). But if you image is 500dpi, Acrobat thinks that it's only 2 inches wide, and will display it very small on screen, physically about 2 inches wide.
I believe that in Acrobat you can set some document properties for initial display, but you have to do that in Acrobat, not Photoshop. I am sure of that. So you might be able to adjust it somewhat.

Error message "Itunes has stopped working" and closes when opening itunes store

I had problems with the latest itunes freezing up that i installed itunes 10.53 and it works fine now except when i go to the itunes store,itunes stops working and the whole program closes.I checked the diagnosics and everything comes up green lights.What could be the problem?

DAQ Input Signal kept rising and stop at Max Voltage when run with nothing attached

I just installed PCI 6229 card and a BNC 2110 (Labview 8.6v). When I started the DAQ Input, the signal kept rising and stop at max Voltage (10V) when run with nothing attached (instead of fluctuating at around 0). Just wondering what's wrong with it and how to solve it. Terminal configuration was "Differential"
I just created an input DAQ with a scope and while loop to look at it. Please let me know if I do anything wrong

I just re-read your original post. Why do you have the terminal setting to differential? This sounds like a single ended setup to me. Change the terminal setting to RSE. With a differential setting. you need to connect one source to AI1 and another source to AI9. The difference between the two will be reported. With RSE, only AI1 will matter and the voltage with respect to ground will be reported. Make sure you have your AO ground tied to your AI ground.

Part of .pdf doesn't show text when opened in firefox but does show when downloaded to the desktop

when I open this link within firefox the chart (page 3 on) doesn't open. When I download the .pdf to my desktop all the information is filled in.

i noticed on my laptop, where the entire contents of the .pdf is viewable, within Firefox - under
Firefox / Tools / Options / Applications / there is an app called JPS file whereas on the desktop this app does not appear

How to Notify that pdf is already in use when opened ?

Hello, is it possible to notify that a pdf document is already opened by another user when i try to open it by a network share ?
Because if 2 o 3 user open the same document all it's ok but when the modified document was saved it notify that is already openeb by other user and they lost all the job.

I asked this here before and got an answer. I don't see anything wrong if you have a small network at home, as long as you aren't using it at the same time. My big complaint is that I can't run one app (Entourage) and another app (Word) at the same time on two different computers.

Visio 2013 Crashes (...has stopped working..) when opening a file or creating new file

Just installed Visio 2013. When I try to create a new document or open an existing document, Visio crashes (Visio has stopped working......). It happens in safe mode too. Further, I've looked at add ins and there are none that I can "uncheck".
Not sure what else to try.
Any help appreciated!

Comment enabled pdf's, showing pop-up when opening in acrobat professional.

Hi all,
We are sending the comment enabled pdf's to authors for review.
Some of the authors stating that its showing an pop-up when they open the PDF's:
We opened the same document in Acrobat 6,7,8 & 9. Professional and Reader. We did't get the above said message.
Are the authors using the outdated version of acrobat which was not compitable for "comment enable".
Please suggest.

Why do pdf's flash on screen when opened, then suddenly disappear?

I'm running Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop and when I open a pdf, it pops onscreen, but then immediately pops off and is gone.
What can I do to fix that?

Thanks you so much for trying to help. Actually, I uninstalled Adobe 11 and went back and installed
Adobe 10. It took a few tries. But then, the licensing agreement popped on screen and I accepted.
Now my pdf’s aren’t disappearing anymore, but there’s still a hesitation after they come up.
The pdf just sits there locked for a few seconds before I can scroll down or affect it in any other way.
I guess I’ll just have to live with that. At least until I can find a way to fix that too.
I’m just THANKFUL I can open pdfs again. I really need it for my work.

How to stop the black screen when opening firefox

When I open a Firefox page it is just a black screen, no URL bar no Back, Forward or Home button nothing appears. After a couple minutes I can mouse over some stuff (mostly the blank spaces where you can enter text) and it will appear, but still can't see the "buttons" or menus (i.e.Internet options). Need to access the internet options to choose no proxy but I can't.

How to stop automatic date changes when opening an old document?

I use Pages to create my invoices. The problem I'm having is this: when there is a question about an invoice and I need to reopen it the date changes from the original date (which I need) to today's date. I understand why it does this, and I want it to do this when I create the thing, but is there a way to keep it from happening from saved documents?
As a follow up question: it must be very simple to find the date the document was created. Could someone please tell me where to find this?

You likely put a date stamp on your invoice via the menu hiearchy, Insert > Date & Time. Highlight the date string, then from a right-mouse button menu, choose Edit Date & Time... You will see another pop-up that gives you some control over your newly inserted Date & Time.

How to stop the noisy screen when opening and closing?

Whenever I open, close or adjust the angle of my laptop screen it makes an annoying creek and click sound. The sound usually varies whether its loud or faint.
I think it's friction or something. Can I lube it up some way?

Your PDF document is a special type of form called a "dynamic XFA form".
Currently, Adobe Reader mobile products (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) do not support static or dynamic XFA forms that are created with Adobe LiveCycle Designer. (This is not a new problem, however.)
The message "Please wait..." is displayed when a dynamic content is not supported by a PDF viewer.
Please use the desktop version of Adobe Reader on a Windows or Mac computer to fill out XFA forms.
