PDF to JPG issues

I am exporting a presentation to a JPG slide sequence and when it exports it randomly skips slides.  On one occasion it skipped 5 slides and another it was only 3.
Adobe Support, please rectify this issue.  This seems like something you would have check in to.

Hi ,
Could you please update us about the Acrobat version you are using ?
What OS do you work on ?
Also ,I would like to know whether it happened with that particular file or you tried to check with any other file as well ?
If not ,please try to do that and compare the outcome, if you are experiencing the same issue with the other file as well or not .
Do you see any prompts or error message along or it simply skip the slides without providing any information ?
Meanwhile you could try to repair your Acrobat once and see if that fixes the issue for you or not .
Regards

I use Outlook for my email on the Safari web browser, and about 90% of the time when I want to attach a pdf or jpg file it fails and about 50% of the time when I want to send a standard text massage it will also fail and the email massage crashes. The only way I can get my Outlook to work is if I switch to Firefox web browser. I would rather not switch to a new web browser if I don't have to.
It seems like what ever the problem is that its related the Safari web browser, because it works fine on the Firefox web browser.
I think its some kind of plug-in failure because it giving me a LOC ERROR:
LOC ERROR: Unable to locate localized string for resource ID 5007.
How can I fix this Plug-in?
And, yes my softwer is conpletly updated…

That's an Outlook issue. You'll probably get better responses posting on the Office for Mac forums.

  • Want to scan to text file on hp oj8600, software indicates only pdf or jpg file creation

want to scan to text file on hp oj8600, software indicates can do. However printer system software only allows pdf or jpg file type creation.

    Hello @Richf95,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are trying to save scans as a text file.
    I would like to help.
PDF has become the standard file type used when scanning/saving a document.
Most printers will not have text as a default option.
    Try the following:
    Open the HP scan utility
In the lower left hand corner select 'Create New Shortcut...'
Name your new short cut. I went with Text.
In the next window select the file tab.
In the drop down menu, select Text.
This should create a shortcut that will allow you to save scans as a .txt file.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610 all in one printer will not print a PDF or JPG in color

I am using mac osx 10.6
I can make copies in color. Print word documents with color and pretty much everything else but print in color any PDF or JPG. I have tried various printer configurations. I have tried from acrobat, illustrator, and photoshop. With photoshop i even tried the option of letting photoshop control the color settings. I hae tried multiple differnt files all with the same results. All are color files. I do not know what to do. I re-installed the drivers for the printer as well. I do not get any errors and the ink levels are fine. 3/4s full in fact of every color

    Hello,
Please try the below mentioned steps..
    Open the PDF file,
Click File > Print , in the dialog box, uncheck "Print in grayscale ( black and white )"
    Now click Print button

  • Acrobat X Pro - Export multiple PDFs to JPG

In Acrobat 9 Pro I am able to export multiple pdfs to jpg using file--->export multiple....   In Acrobat X I can't seem to find this funtionality.  Any ideas?
    Thanks.

I tried this script and it did work but I needed to export to PNG rather than JPG. I could not see a way to do that without actual scripting, which I don't know how to do. So I opened the script linked here in Textpad and just changed "jpg" to "png" and it worked - happy day for me! If anyone would like to download this action, you can find it here: http://ccl.rutgers.edu/~lindaeve/acrobatx/Export_to_PNG.sequ

  • PDF to JPG quality

I'm a newbee and this may be very basic, but I have not been able to figure it out.
GOAL: Get a WORD Table on my website as JPG
I have been instructed to Save WORD DOC as PDF.  Check
Then Save PDF as JPG. Check
Crop as needed and Re-Save. Check
The JPG has very low quality (fuzzy edges) compared to the one my Webmaster did for me.
I tried reducing the size of the JPG to 70%, 60% and even 50% with the same fuzzy results.
It looks clean on the computer but isn't producing the same results online.
Question: Are there different levels of Adobe acrobat.  In other words my Free Download won't give me the same quality as a purchased version?

If you use the save as jpg with maximum quality you may be able to do what you want. The problem with saving as jpg is that it is a lossy process. Each time you save as jpg you will loose detail. If you don't use the maximum quality you may loose too much detail. The people who are giving you directions are people who do not know what they are saying.  What program are you doing your cropping in? What program are you  using to resize the graphic?
You should be cropping in Acrobat before saving as jpg. That is one less save, one less loss of quality. JPG files are designed for photographs, they are really the wrong tool for displaying these images. I would choose either gif or png. But more importantly these are very simple tables and should be displayed as html tables. This can be done in word. You don't need to learn how to create html.
I am attaching two copies of the cropped file. Here is the first with the quality of the jpg set to maximum and the picture set to greyscale (as opposed to the rgb that was used in the web version). The size is more than 200KB.
Here is the file saved as a greyscale png. File size 20 KB
The quality is similar, but the difference in file size is huge. Note, that saving from pdf to jpg is insufficient since the graphics are too large they must be resized. If you resize the graphic and resave as jpg you loose more quality and detail than if this is done with a png. But note that you may get ok reproduction with jpg set to maximum, but that is still no reason not to use a more appropriate image type like png. As to what your superior is telling you to do, speak with the people responsible for the web site. See what they suggest, get them to speak with your superiors. There is no extra work saving as jpg or png, just the size and quality of the result.

  • QuickView: How can I change the default full screen width of PDFs and JPGs

    Hello,
I am very happy with the changes on the new OSX Lion.  But I have a disappointment form QuickView.  On Snow Leopard I will hit the "Option+Space" to QuickView files (mostly pdf and jpg) on full width and just scroll up and down with the mouse or the arrow keys.  Now in Lion, when I press "Option+Space" I get the file on full height.  This does not work for me because the information on screen is too small and I end up having to open the file on Preview.
How can I change this settings so they are like on Snow Leopard?
    Thanks in advance.

Not only can you set global values for each of the three columns, but you can also set unique column widths on a per community basis like this:
    .ptCommunity-1234 .columnOne { width: 635px; border-right:1px solid #CCCCCC; padding-top: 10px; padding-right: 20px; }
    .ptCommunity-1234 .columnTwo { width: 240px; padding-top: 10px; padding-left: 8px;}
You can see here my community #1234 has a wide first column and a more narrow column two and even puts a little solid line between them.
It's all in the stylesheets on your imageserver at the path I mentioned earlier. Again, look at the experience definition object in your admin portal and look at the stylesheet name in the dropbox. The stylesheet name you see is mapped to the .css file using the community-themes.txt file in the same ...yadayada/common/public/css folder on the imageserver.
If you have, lets say, a mainstyle1-en.css that only has about a dozen lines dictating only the few items you mentioned before - then it has been stripped at one time because the default that comes w/ an original install is huge and a great starting point. It even has style tips and snippets in comment blocks to tutor you through its gargantuan variety of options.

  • How to batch convert pdf to jpgs, crop to trim and save?

I'm trying to figure out how to take a couple of hundred PDFs, Crop them to trim, then convert them all to JPGs using any of the adobe programs.
In bridge I was able to Batch convert all the PDFs to JPGs but it wouldn't crop them to the trim also...
I thought I could use the Photoshop Image Processor to batch action crop and save them again but I always get one of two errors... "There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop." or "Please Specify a destination folder."
I don't know why this is coming up since I have it selecting the folders with the JPGs that I converted in Bridge and saving to another folder..
Does anyone know if I can do all of this at once? Or how I can somehow get this to work so that II don't have to open, crop and save for each individual file?

Corel's WP has not / does not use anything of Adobe's to create PDFs.
With Acrobat installed you can "file - print" WP files to the Adobe PDF virtual printer that is installed with Acrobat.
Perhaps an OS based "batch" printer job would be possible. Something for you to look into.
As well, if you have WP installed there may be something WP can do.
To learn of such you'd want to visit Corel's WP customer support.
    Be well...

  • Since I have connected my iPad with the MacBook through ICloud I have problems in Preview of opening PDF- and JPG-files. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Since I have connected my iPad with the MacBook through ICloud I have problems in Preview of opening PDF- and JPG-files. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I'm not sure I understand the connection between iCloud and this problem.  Is it simply a problem of coincidental timing (ie, the problem happened after you set up iCloud)?  If so, there's almost certainly no connection between these two events.
Where are you getting the files you're trying to open, and what specifically happens when you try to open them?

  • Automatic Conversion of PDF to JPG

    Hi
I have a requirement to convert PDF document to JPEG, automatically through a program.
Can anyone suggest me that ADOBE is having any API for this, how do we get those API's accessed to us.
    Thanks
    VijayKumar

This cannot be done in Adobe Reader. You can probably copy the picture into another program (preferably a graphics program) that can do this for you. If you are on the Mac platform, Preview can save a pdf as jpg. Graphic Converter is an inexpensive Mac program that can do this and reduce the size as well. Of course, the commercial Acrobat program can do this and reduce the size as well, but that might be a tad expensive if you do not have other uses for it. I am not familiar with other programs that might do this for you if you use Windows, but I'm sure other users can step in with a few helpful suggestions.

  • Pdf from jpg with OCR asks to "save to online account"

Anyone know whether using OCR on Acrobat XI saves my data on Adobe server thru online account? When creating a pdf from jpg there is a toggle, "save to online account".  I prefer not to store my data in the cloud or on any server--I save only to my personal computer.  Thanks for clarifying this for me.

When you choose an online account the documents will be saved there otherwise on the local disc.
