Pdf-to-mp3

I am looking for a pdf-to-mp3 converter. Where can I find it? Does Adobe sell this kind of product, to listen to pdf files "in mobility" (with a Iphone, android phone, windows phone or by using a simple mp3 reader)?

exactly. A kind of read-out-loud output.
My problem is the following: I have a lot of pdf papers to read but I have a lot of other things to do.
I need "somebody" that read the pdf for me ("read out loud") and save his voice in a file (eg a MP3 file).
In this way I have a MP3 file with the content of a pdf.
Then I can bring this MP3 file with me, and I can hear it with my Iphone or MP3 reader...or whatever
I think that a program that "convert pdf to mp3" exists! it is used by blind people, that cannot read the pdf (but can hear the content of the pdf)

  • Can I convert an existing pdf to mp3

Does Acrobat have the ability to convert pdf to mp3 built in? If not, are there other programs I can acquire that will do it? If there are other programs, can you recommend a product that works well with Adobe?
I recently purchased a guidebook for WordPress. It was delivered as a 300-page, 14 MB pdf book. It is 95% text with a few screen shots. It would help me if I could also listen to the text while I drive 2 hrs every day. Thank you.

No it doesn't. There is a 'read out loud' accessibilty tool but it won't produce audio files.
If the book's security permits it you can export the PDF as a plain text file and use a third-party text-to-speech application.

  • When I try to save on some websites I will try to save a pdf or mp3 file. Down below it will list the file and in the 'save as type' box it will not list as save as '.pdf or .mp3' but instead always says 'all files' which will not save it in a way it can

Why won't the 'save as type' section list .pdf or MP3 to save a PDF or MP3 file but instead always says 'save as type' -- 'all files "."'. How can I get rid of the 'all files'.?

Sorry, I have no idea what you are doing; can you give us some details?

  • Pdfs and MP3s in iTunes Folder not showing up iTunes Library - Please Help

Hi, I am running iTunes 10.7 on a 15 inch MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i7 with 4 GB of RAM using OS X 10.7.5.
My problem is that when I bring the latest set of pdf and MP3 files I added do not show up in my iTunes library.  If I go through the finder they are in the iTunes folder, but they will not display or play.
    Thank you
    Nucleus

They will not play or display even outside of iTunes?  Not with Quicktime Player (for the mp3s) or Preview (for the PDFs)?  If that's the case the files are probably corrupt.
Adding items to iTunes and not having them appear in the library is a recurring problem with newer versions for some.
    Try restarting iTunes.
Check your recently added playlist.  If they are there, try temporarily editing an item in the name, then restart iTunes and see if it appears.
Start iTunes, immediately hold down the option key and create a new, test library.  Add the files to it.  Do they add?  If yes, then they are readable by iTunes.  Go back to your old library using hte option key thing again.

    Hi,
Firstly, your country is detemined by several factors, including your phone's regional settings, your SIM card and your NokiaAccount settings, if you used this phone whilst abroad then you may need to check that your regional and account settings are up to date since you have arrived in Canada.
For services like Gigs, you should also ensure that the MixRadio app has access to your phone's GPS location as well as the main location being on in the phone settings. To check this, as well as Location being turned on in the phone settings, in MixRadio itself go to Settings>Location>On:
The concern with favourites may also be related to location, if the music from certain artists is available in Canada but not where the service might think you are, availability of content may vary from region to region.
If all settings in both the phone, your Nokia Account and the MixRadio app are correct, we may have to investigate deeper.
It is impossible to comment on your camera without seeing it, you cold have the phone checked by Nokia Care locally, but of course if it was supplied in Europe it will be covered by the European Limited Warranty which is not valid in Canada.

  • PDF to MP3 software

Is there a reliable program that will allow me to convert text (such as pdf) to mp3 so that I may listen to it on my ipod?
I did a search and found nothing. Please help.
    Thanks,
    M

I tried to make an easy solution in Automator, but couldn't get everything to work together.
The command line has a utility called 'say' which will convert text to speech using the built-in voices. By default, it uses the selected voice in System Prefs, but you can specify another.
While Automator's PDF to Text utility works fine, Say wants a UTF-8 encoded text file. I couldn't find a way to make that work with Automator's output.
There is a nice pdf utility you can install that will convert pdf to text and allow you to set the encoding. The [xpdf-tools-3.dmg package is here|http://users.phg-online.de/tk/MOSXS>, at the bottom of the list of files. Once installed, you can use one of the utilities, pdftotext, to convert the pdfs to text, and then use say to convert the text to an m4a file.
To convert the file to text use: pdftotext -enc "UTF-8" <path/to/file.pdf>You can optionally add the output file after the pdf. You can also specify the first and last pages with -f # and -l #.
For say, usesay -o <path/to/outputfile.m4a> -f <path/to/file.txt>The documentation states that output tile format is only available in 10.6. If you give the output file a recognizable extension, say will determine the output format from that. So, use .m4a to convert to the AAC codec.
I'm not good at packaging shell scripts into easy to use applications, but perhaps with the above, someone else can put it all together into a droppable application. However, the nice part about doing it in steps is that you can edit the text file to get rid of any extraneous things that might make it less intelligible.

  • How can I post or add a PDF, DOC, MP3 or other file on my site for visitors to download?

The exact approach can vary, depending on if you are hosting your site using Adobe Business Catalyst or another hosting provider. In either case, however, the steps would be something like this:
Use an FTP client to create a "documents" folder on your site.
Upload the files you want to link to into this folder.
Add links to these files in Muse using the full URL (i.e. http://mysite.com/documents/filename.....
The Preview Page/Site in Browser options in Muse should work fine. Clicking on a link to one of the documents will open it in the Browser. The built-in Preview feature in Muse will work for some document types and not others. It just depends what you're linking to.

This feature is coming up in Muse 2.0 and is available for testing in Muse 2.0 Public Beta currently available. Please check out a demo video at http://tv.adobe.com/watch/muse-feature-tour/add-and-link-to-any-type-of-file/

  • FireFox has stopped showing the PDF/MP3 dialog option box

Starting today when I want to open or download a PDF or MP3 file the dialog box that usually pops up in the right-hand corner of the browser window is no longer appearing. Now it is taking me to a "enter to save as" page. How do I bring back the dialog box?

I'm not sure that I understand which page or dialog you get.
Firefox can handle both PDF and MP3 files internally. PDF files with the built-in PDF Viewer and MP3 files via the built-in HTML5 media player.

  • Upload/Insert PDF with Image Manager

I used to be able to insert a PDF and MP3 file through the Image Manager within the Item Description area but for some time have not been able to. I had asked the question in the old forums to no resolve. I've tried multiple sites from multiple browsers on both Mac and Windows but same issue.
    What I do:
1.) From within any webpage/web app item description text area, I click on the Image Manager icon (little picture with sun and mtn. in the toolbar above the text area) and the Image Manager opens up.
2.) Now the Image Manager DOES allow me to upload both PDF and MP3 files onto the server from here (which is good). Then I go to the list and find the file on the server, I'll select the file and then click on "Insert" but the Image Manager just closes and nothing is inserted into the Item Description area.
This had worked for many years and like I said I can't get it to work in any testing scenerio. Same issue everytime when inserting, nothing gets inserted. The only alternative is manually inserted the href into the HTML but several of my clients have difficulty with this and it used to work before.
I know it's been stated that the Literature/Media Module is how you handle files but this is way more cumbersome then it should be and the way I and my clients used to do it through the Image Manager worked great. Any help or clarification would be great. I can't even find if this is a feature done away with. Thank you for the help.

    Tersieff,
I know you mentioned it had worked for your over the years. However I would recommend using the either the file manager or better the media downloads to upload and manage your media files. I see that it would come in handy to be able to select the file through the image manager, but I don't think it's working for media files other than images. Using the media downloads you will be able to provide a download link to this file, the downside is that you will have to manually enter the module for each media download within the item description.

  • How to place an MP3 in muse

I am trying to place a few MP3 into muse and have tried the sites that where mentioned, soundcloud, wimpy, and etc.  And nothing is working and I have tried researching the web why and I followed those instructions and still no luck after 2 hours.  Can someone please help.

    Hi,
Please refer to the following kb article that talks about adding MP3 files to a site,
How can I post or add a PDF, DOC, MP3 or other file on my site for visitors to download?
This explains how you can add them so that users can download. If you want to embed a player you will have to get the code for the player and insert it as html in your muse file. To do that you will have to go to Object menu and click on insert HTML.
For more functionalities that you might get with player, you will have to contact the provider. Muse can only insert your HTML but using Muse you will not be to further customize or style the player, after adding it to the .muse file.
