  • When converting a Word doc to a PDF the pictures are surrounded by a blue shadowed boxes

    I started off with a PDF, then converted to a Word doc, made necessary changes, and converted back to a new PDF.  However, the new PDF has put blue colored boxes around all the pictures.  Anyone know how to fix?

    I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro on a workstation using Windows 7.
    I have converted docs this way many times before, but for some reason it does not seem to complete the process about 50% of the time these days.
    Here is a screen shot

  • Turn word PDF to picture format PDF

    Hi,
    I have asked before how to make PDF content not copyable, now that I am able to do that. But my boss said it is a contract, so he don't want people to be able to copy and search in the PDF. So I suggested to make the contract in picture format, so that people cannot search in it, at least that is what my boss want. I simply just use the snap shot button (Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional) highlight the page, then create PDF from clipboard image, but because i can only create one PDF from that snapshot page, so that the contract have 20 pages, I need to do that 20 times, and combine the PDFs, it takes me like 5-10min to do a 20 pages contract, but my boss said he would prefer to click a button and that the words can be converted to image format, or a easier way to do it, so I wonder if there is a way for that.
    Thanks,
    Alex

  • Exporting Form to PDF, Lose Picture

    Hello,
    I have one picture (tried both JPEG and TIFF) imported into my form.  It shows up nice in the FormsCentral program.  However, when I save it as a PDF form, I lose the image.
    Do you have any suggestions as to how I can fix this?  The image is our company logo, thus we would like it to appear on the form.
    Thank you.

    Please read the FAQ article at http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1621.  If this does not help solve your problem post to this tread again.

  • Open pdf with picture

    how to open the .pdf with picture

    Adobe Reader should be able to open a PDF that contains a picture just as it opens any other PDF document. Do you have a PDF that Adobe Reader is not able to open, or which Adobe Reader does not correctly display the contained picture?

  • When exporting to PDF, the pictures are not the same size I "placed" them

    I am "placing" pics that are 653 x 983 pixels, 300 DPI, using CS4.  However, my issue is when exporting to PDF, the PDF doesn't look like the same size I "placed" the pic until I blow it up to about 350%.  I do not have a printer set up to my computer so I can't do the print/pdf option.  Am I doing something wrong here?  I can't figure it out.  Your help is appreciated.  Thanks!

    Well, right when I open the PDF, it's just way too small, imagine it being the size of a business card.  I have to keep zooming in until it gets to the size I originally intended it to be.  When I create a new document am I suppose to make it the same size as the picture?

  • Attachements, pdf and pictures not loading in mail on the 4s

    Since I have had the Iphone 4s, attachements, pdf's and pictures are not loading or opening in my emails.  I have three email addresses from gmail, and my local cable company.  One is a POP and the other is IMAP.  Both are not loading.  Sometimes they load but takes almost an hour.  My iphone 4 did not have these problems.  Any help is appreciated.

    I've been testing PDF's on the Android Nexus 7, v32. Same thing.
    However, it depends on whether you are using the Legacy Adobe Content Viewer or the Regular Adobe Content Viewer. For the Legacy there is a little arrow on the bottom right corner of the blank screen and it will prompt what app you want to use to open the PDF. For the Regular Adobe Content Viewer, you have to press the little globe on the top right corner, and it will prompt what application you want or forward you to the remembered app that opens PDFs..
    There seems to be an issue previewing PDFs within the Adobe Content Viewer app itself, so you need to go outside the app to view it - at least you can press the return button to get back to your content viewer.
    What I would like to see is a quick-fix where it automatically forwards you to the program you have selected as "remember" or "always use this application for similar files" or something - idk how that works. As of this moment you need to inform your viewers telling them that they need to press this button or that, so they aren't lost.
    This is what I learned just yesterday, although on the iPad they show up instantly, no blank screen.

  • Autopopulate PDF with Pictures Script?

    I do home inspections and always take camera shots in the same sequence, every time. I then take these pictures and add them to a PDF template that I then send off to the client. This process is being done many times a day manually for each house I inspect.
    Would it be possible to create a script that automatically populates a tempate with the corresponding picture number in the camera?
    Please see the image below to illustrate the issue (please click to enlarge)
    I am not knowledgeable in Javascript or programming; however, I just started learning python.

    I was under the impression that picture number ranges from 1 to 9999. Acrobat created forms can not directly import images, but LiveCycle Designer forms can import images.

  • White border around edge of pdf (not picture related)

    I've been fumbling with this for days and can't figure it out.  I guess that means it's probably something really simple.
    I'm using CS5 and am trying to create a book cover for self-publishing.
    The artboard is set to 17.28" wide and 11" tall with .125 bleed.
    I created a blue rectangle (no stroke) as a background to cover the artboard and the bleed so it measures at 17.53" wide (17.28"+.25") and 11.25" tall.
    Theoritically that should work?  However, when I save as a pdf (or print to pdf), the document size is 17.53" wide and 11.25" tall, but there is a white gap around the top/bottom/right edge.
    I've tried:
    - making the rectangle larger than the bleed section
    - making the artboard a little larger
    - no stroke/with stroke around the rectangle (thinking it had something to do with what others have been experiencing with white lines)
    - making sure smooth line art is selected
    - a host of other things
    .. but no change.
    Image is attached, but may need to zoom in to see problem.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jacob,
    Thanks for the response.
    I tried your suggestions - no change.
    It's a simple file with not a lot of complicated items, basically just three rectangles to which I was going to add text later for the titles, etc.
    The width of the artboard takes into account the size of the spine, which is calculated for each book since they have different number of pages.
    I've uploaded the file if you want to take a look at it as it doesn't make much sense to me. The file can be downloaded from here:

    Thanks for your time and help.

  • Saving framed picture to pdf?

    I am designing a brochure in Apple Pages 9.  I have a picture frame around an image but when I export the file to pdf, the picture frame does not appear when I use other pdf programs (adobe) to open the file. For instance, if I send it to a print shop.  Is there a fix, workaround or tip for this?

    I have Adobe Reader 11.0.1.0 installed on my iMac and it also views the Pages pdf frame fine.
    There are problems with Adobe Acrobat on Windows reading things like fonts correctly, I haven't encountered any other issues, other than a certain bugginess on the Mac version.
    I currently don't have a PC up and runnibg to test this myself, maybe later in the week. Later tonight I will try it on Mountain Lion as well, although I don't think that will be the problem.
    Have you done the obvious and checked your own out put on your Mac with both Preview and Acrobat Reader for Mac? Hsve you tested a Pages file with nothing but the framed image?
    Detail step by step how you created the pdf. Have you done anything odd like use Acrobat to distill a postscript file? Because that is pointless.

  • Picture quality decrease if auto export to PDF

    Hi,
    I am using crystal report 8.5 developer version and MS Access (2003).  I have created a report with a JPG company logo inserted.  If I manually export the report to PDF. No problem and the picture looks good.  However when I run VB code from Access 2003 to auto export to PDF, the picture quality for the logo decrease badly.  Is there anyone who could give me some advice?
    Thanks in advance.  I here also attached part of the VB code below for your easy reference
        ReportName = Source
        'Using the .OpenReport method from the Application object to set your Report object to a RPT file
        Set crxReport = crxApplication.OpenReport(ReportName)
        crxReport.ParameterFields.Item(1).AddCurrentValue (CustDB!CustNum)
        OutName = Destination + CStr(CustDB!CustNum) + ".pdf"
        crxReport.ReadRecords
        'Defines report's format type
        crxReport.ExportOptions.FormatType = crEFTPortableDocFormat
        'Defines report's destination type
        crxReport.ExportOptions.DestinationType = crEDTDiskFile
        'Defines report's file name
        crxReport.ExportOptions.DiskFileName = OutName
        'exports without calling the exporting dialog window
        crxReport.Export False

    Thank you for your suggestion.  I immediately check for the 'retain color depth option' under 'report options' but unable to find any (I am using CR 8.5).  The options that are available under report options are as shown below.  May be it is somewhere else?
    Convert Date-Time Field

  • Is it possible to Print a PDF as a PDF in Acrobat 11.0.06 on Mac OSX 10.8.5?

    Is it possible to Print a PDF as a PDF in Acrobat 11.0.06 on Mac OSX 10.8.5?
    I need this functionality. Adobe PDF doesn't appear in the printer list as it did on my windows laptop. I need to be able to print to the PDF "size" of 8.5 by 11 to shrink files down for e-mail. My workflow usually goes like this:  I import all the pictures or create a PDF from multiple files (pictures), I then put them in order  and then print to PDF, two pictures to a page. I can take a 50MB file down to a 1MB file this way. Makes it easy to view on smartphones and the like.
    Is this functionality still broken in Acrobat 11? Did I just waste my money? This was the only reason I bought the latest version - It wouldn't work on 9 Pro either.
    Thanks,
    Jon

    Thanks Tony. That is exactly the functionality I am not getting from the current product on Mac.
    You can get a much better looking result that takes up way less space and opens faster for the end user by printing a PDF as a PDF and controlling the size of the PDF image. I can take - for instance, 6 or 7  10MP pictures and create a PDF out of them. The PDF will be 25MB or so. I can print that as a PDF which will allow me to put two pictures per page  - and that file will be about 1 MB. No crappy looking images, just much smaller size and multiple images per page.
    It's a workflow I have used for years on PC.  Everyone keeps saying just save it as a PDF using the Mac print "save as PDF" functionality but that doesn't accomplish the same thing and you can not control how many pages to print on to each new page of your PDF.
    I find it misleading that I saw a web page on Adobe's site that shows you can print as a PDF and it says you can print as a PDF on Mac and that is NOT the case.  Print to PDF Windows 7, Vista, XP, Mac | Adobe Acrobat XI Infuriating.
    I have tried to optimize a PDF with 6 or 7 images and it just doesn't do the same thing. It wont reduce the size as much as I need, cuts it in half - but not down to a small fraction for being an e-mail attachment. I'm using XI Pro. Researched this for about 3 hours and it is not functionality that can be used on a Mac.
    I even tried printing as a PDF in Parallels on XP with another licensed version of Acrobat Pro and it still wont let you. You would have to probably dual boot your machine to get the functionality by running windows flat out on the Mac with a separate Licensed copy of the software.
    It amazes me that Adobe can't figure this out or make amends with Apple to get the functionality back into Acrobat.
