PDF Update

I have a PDF document that I need to make changes to (add pictures and change verbiage). I have the converter (to word) capability but when the conversion is complete the format changes and the document becomes unusable. What I need to be able to update/change the original PDF. Can I download Acrobat XI Pro to my computer. I understand it supports update mode. Doing everything on the cloud is not a viable option for me. If not can I just buy a Months subscription and only pay as needed?

Hello,
Yes, you can purchase the Acrobat's monthly subscription and it get downloaded or installed on your computer only.
It doesn't run on a cloud but gives you an option to save files on cloud.

Is the oc4j_j2ee_svcguide_r2.pdf going to be updated for 9.0.3?

Is the oc4j_j2ee_svcguide_r2.pdf going to be updated for 9.0.3? gday Daniel -
We are just about to release a production version of Oracle9iAS which is version 9.0.2. The documentation set that is available is based on 9.0.2, so it is current.
The Developer Preview you are using is based on version 9.0.3 which is still under development. In the same sense, the documentation is still under development.
The 902 services guide you are reading is fully applicable to the Developer Preview release.
We are working on the documentation set for the 9.0.3. release and will publish it on OTN in draft format as it becomes available for public review.
    cheers!

  • Converting Powerpoint into Fully Accessable PDFs  (Updated and Corrected)

I am trying to create a PDF of a PowerPoint file with full accessibility with no errors. I am currently using Microsoft Office 2010, and checking the web accessibility with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.
    Advanced>Accessibility>Full Check
However when I bring it over to PDF from PowerPoint, none of the images retain or register as having alternate text. As being a PowerPoint, I find that a lot of the images that don't need alternate text, such as the various segments of the background, register as requiring alternate text. I have tried actually following the prompts and giving alternate text to some images, but they still register as not having any.
    Can anyone please help?
    Thanks

You can try the solution in the thread linked below, but chances are it won't compress the PDF enough for email:

  • Adobe update to Version XI (11.0.07) stopped programs working and pdf's showing in browsers don't print

    Hi
A program we use for our financial system no longer works since Adobe's latest upgrade. It pops up requesting that we install adobe pdf reader then opens in a squashed window with none of the buttons clickable. To fix we have had to roll back to an older version of PDF Reader which creates other issues with PDF's now requesting the latest version and not opening.
It concerned me that the pdf update ran in the background despite users clicking no to the update. Sneaky, broke our finance system which our organisation cannot be without.
Also users are unable to print pdfs that they have opened from the web. There are no error messages, just nothing happens. To work around we have to save to the PC then print.

    Hi Sashi
The printing doesn't work from either the print dialogue or the browsers print option. The printers are Xerox FX ApeosPort-III and Docucentre IV
In regards to our finance program no longer working:
    Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit
    Reader XI updated to 11.0.0.7
No error message, the program only partly loads after stating it requires Adobe PDF reader (which is installed)
The program is in visual basic and it appears the latest version of adobe reader prevents the layers loading properly.
    Thanks

  • Questions/concerns re: KitKat 4.4.2 verizon update

Ok, so I just updated my galaxy s3 to KitKat 4.4.2.
    1) To Verizon- Why has the battery meter gone WHITE instead of Green-Orange-Red-, etc.? Is there a way to change this? Will it turn ORANGE or RED as the battery decreases?
    1A) Was this Verizon's or Samsung's decision?
1B) And more importantly, why was this not mentioned in the Verizon PDF update (http://www.verizonwireless.com/dam/support/pdf/system_update/galaxy_s3-6-19-14.pdf)? I understand you want to promote the additions (most of which is bloatware and things most people do not care about) , but how about giving us a heads up on ALL changes?
1C) And what other changes are there? Is there a full list of ALL changes and not just the ones mentioned briefly in the above PDF?
    2) What is the 'N' in my notification area (see screenshot with circled 'N')?
    Thank you

    thank you!
It's nice that they (Google, Verizon, Samsung, etc.) are transparent with their info on the updates.
    Cheers again!

i updated firefox and now i can no longer access pogo.com it states that java is unavailable on my pc. When i run test for Java it states that i have most recent update installed and it is operating

I don't know what test you are looking at. You have Java 1.6.0_11, which has known security issues; the current version is 1.6.0_21. For updating see below.
You need to update your plugins. It is important to keep them updated due to continuing security fixes and improvements in those plug-ins:
    * Macromedia Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.0
    * Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape (you '''<u>MAY</u>''' need to update)

  • Be able to change prices, in a PDF price book, in accordance to the multiplier entered.

    Hi,
We have a 250+ page list price book and our customers are requesting the option to change the prices in accordance to what their discount multiplier is; what is the best way to accomplish this? (Can it be done through Acrobat, LiveCycle, Javascript....)
these are the steps that we currently take to create the PDF:
update the prices in Excel spreadsheet
import the spreadsheet into InDesign as tables
format the tables in InDesign to how we want them
    export to PDF
Example, if their multiplier is .64; I want all the prices in this PDF to change the prices to .64. (The cost of the first item would be 2.52 x .64 = 1.61.)
Here is an example of a price page:

Yes, it can be done in a PDF, but it would require placing form fields on top of all the areas where there are currently static prices and then use a script to populate those fields with the correct amount. Not a simple task, especially the part where the fields have to be added to all of those pages...

    Hello Ramirongo,
If you are trying to update your iPod, then all you need to do is have the latest version of iTunes installed and plug it in. It will check of any updates if they are available and update your iPod. I have also provided the User Guide for your model of iPod as well.

  • Acrobat Online PDF Destinations Linking Problem

    Hi
I've created several destinations from several web pages to different end points within a single PDF document. Our testers are confirming an intermitent problem where they link to a different end point than is set for that link. Thi may occur 1 out of 5 or more attemps. In other words the link works correctly most of the time. Is there anything someone could suggest to prevent this from happening. I'm going to re-create the end points all over again, but I was hoping someone could come up with a better recommendation.
    Thanks!

Here is the .pdf file (.jsp file) I need to open, i.e. the SC 30 Dismissal Small Claims Court.pdf (updated 11/05/13)--- (see screen shot):
This is what I see when I open the .pdf file (.jsp file) link with Internet Explorer (see screen shot):
This is what I see when I open the .pdf file link (.jsp file) with FireFox (see screen shot):
Here is the default programs in my Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit PC to open .jsp & .pdf files (see two screen shots):
I'm not a computer expert, but I think somehow I need a program or plug-in or something related to Java in order to open the .jsp files, not Adobe Reader.  Can you assist me with figuring out the Java thing if you think that could be it?

  • Error in PDF After Successful Export

I tried to find information about this error in search and thought I'd found it in a few places but it turns out the error is different. I'm still hoping I overlooked something somewhere because if this hasn't already been answered, I suspect it won't be.
I'm using ID4 on a Windows Vista machine, but I should point out the same error occurred when I had someone else attempt to do it on a Mac with CS4.
I have a document with 21 charts, all imported the exact same way (printed to PDF and then placed). The author of the document decided he wanted different colors in three of the charts so I was sent just those three charts in exactly the same format all of the others were sent - Word (yes, I know - it's hideous but I'm stuck with it). I printed them to PDF, updated the links, and it all looks fine. I exported to PDF and it seemed to export just fine. I view the PDF and when I get to the page with those three charts, I get an error message (something about not being able to find object) and the charts either don't display at all or display everything except the colored bars. I tried rebooting my machine, in case it was a lack of system resources; didn't help. I tried having someone do it on a Mac; didn't help. I actually got the guy to send them to me in Excel and printed to PDF from that; didn't help.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem? This publication should have gone out today and if I don't have an answer by first thing tomorrow morning, there will be a bit of a problem. I'm completely stumped by this problem occurring after just changing the colors of the bars in the chart.

Sorry, yes - I mean InDesign CS4. I know I won't be able to convince them to upgrade me to CS5 but I'm hoping they'll go for the full creative suite when CS6 comes out. I need to get really good at this program before then so that they can see the value. Otherwise, I'll be back to trying to layout complex documents in Word, which would most definitely land me in a straightjacket. I really love InDesign and even though I sometimes run into problems, they're usually caused by my lack of knowledge rather than a flaw in the program. That's not the case with Word; it just wasn't made for publishing small books or magazines, which is what the publications I work on amount to.
I'll bear that in mind about the Mac. You're the first person I've heard (OK, seen, not heard, but you know what I mean) say that but it doesn't mean it's not true.

    Hello,
Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.
Your computer comes with Win 8 pre-installed but one of the steps to install/run Windows 8.1 is having updated drivers for Windows 8.1
Please, go to Control Panel -> System (or Start -> type winver and open) and verify what is your current version - if it is Windows 8 or 8.1
    Windows 8 is version  6.2.x
    Windows 8.1 is version  6.3.x
If Windows 8 in place, then , please read this article and enroll in the steps:
    http://www8.hp.com/us/en/pdf/instruct_update_win8.1_EN_tcm_245_1508074.pdf
Update to the latest drivers prior and post installation respectively for win 8/8.1 :

  • Adobe X Pro error when saving randomly

We have techs signing PDFs and saving them. However, randomly, users will get an erorr when saving.
Error: The document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.
Then the file name goes to something like aac04492  or aai04492  or aaa04492.
It appears with the newest update I believe, as other PCs without the newest update do not have this issue. It just started about two weeks ago and is completely at random. The techs do the same thing every day, for years, and they have full permissions to save to their local drive. Seems to be a Adobe PDF update error that has caused this?
PROBABLY SHOULD BE MOVED TO ADOBE ACROBAT.

    ISSUE:
When signing a PDF document, then saving it, we sometimes come up with the error
"There was an error when attempting to commit this signature. The document was not saved.
The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
Adobe now says it is a Known issue and they may fix it in 10.1.2 update….
The only workaround is to disconnect computer from the network, which defeats the purpose of course.
    From the chat:
Premjit: I have checked with my resources and see that it is a network related issue with Acrobat version 10.1.1.
Premjit: Yes, it happens to random network due to the network policies.
Premjit: Yes, we have a few case which related to network.
Premjit: Our Developer are also checking on this an may fix it with the next version.

  • Acrobat Pro X (10.1.9.22) crashes after a few minutes of use - I've tried everything I can think of!

Acrobat Pro X, that came with CS6 Design Standard (all other programs working fine) crashes after a few minutes of use. It crashes whether there is a document open or not.
I notice it most when I come back to the PDF after switching from another program; eg) Open PDF and browse for atleast 1 minute, find the info I need on the PDF, update InDesign document, switch back to PDF, "(Not Responding)", try to close document, "Adobe Acrobat is Not Responding". And this happens every single time - no matter what document I open or whether I even have a document open at all.
    I've searched the forums and as much of the Internet I can think of, and I've tried (but with no luck);
    - Updating both Windows 7 and Acrobat Pro
    - Deactivating and the reactivating the software
    - Deleting the cache and then deactivating - (I thought this had worked for a few minutes after I'd done this, but no)
    - Acrofix
    - Complete re-install without performing updates - still crashed
    - Complete resinstall after using Acrobat Cleaner tool
    - Turning off 3D functions in Acrobat
    - Turning off Enhanced security and license features in Acrobat
    - Turning off Windows Firewall
    - Turning off Internet Security (ESET)
    - Removing all non-standard Fonts
I can't think of anything else to try so I thought I'd ask here. Please help!
    Windows 7 / Intel core i7 / 16GB

Hi Rave, thanks for your reply.
How do I go about posting the crash dump here?
And to answer your questions; I just installed Reader 11 and its working fine. As for Acrobat 11, I must've used a trial last year before we got CS6 because it is asking me to license it, so I cant test that unfortunately.
