PDFs and books changed date of documents

iTunes seems to be changing the date on documents transferred to apps. For example, I imported Adobe Photoshop CS5 One on One PDF and even though it is dated 2/21/11 in Finder, in iTunes's File Sharing/Apps/GoodReader Documents it is dated 3/14/70. The same thing is happening to most of the documents transferred to GoodReader.
In FileApp it does the same thing, two items from 4/3/72 and 6/15/70. CHMate Lite, the same thing, 5/18/71.
I can't tell if iBooks is doing it because "Books" doesn't show the books/PDFs info.
I don't know how to interpret this date change, but it is baffling.
This is re-posted from iTunes discussion.

I have the same problem trying to sync documents (eg excel from windows) from my PC or my Mac to my iPhone, using iTunes. On the computers the dates are correct. Once synced to the iPhone, the dates range from 1970 to 1971. I don't know if this is relevant, but in some scientific fields dates are expressed as epochal time, with 1970/01/01 00:00 being time 0, and counting every second from there; so, the next day 1970/01/02 00:00 would be time 86400. Is the syncing scrambling dates because of some formatting or conversion error?

Are the PDFs and ibooks on your computer's iTunes ? If so then you should be able to re-sync them, if not then you can re-download ibooks for free as long as they are still available in the store and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . The backup doesn't contain the contents of the ibooks app, so for them to be restored to the device they needed to be in your iTunes library.

  • Identifying Changed Dates on Documents in SAP B1

Greetingsu2026I have an unusual request that is somewhat long, very serious, and hope folks can help.
A headquarters customer believes a subsidiary company has u2018made upu2019 dates on invoices for previous billings.  They describe the date changes as u2018radicalu2019 but I have not personally seen these invoices as of yet and am waiting a FAX.  They requested I go into SAP B1 to see if someone has fabricated or made up or changed invoice dates and who it was.  They have some specific large-dollar invoices identified to research.  The person under suspect (who is no longer there) was considered an expert in SAP B1, so maybe she knew all of the different ways to change dates around.  Being an expert means also she might have used some unusual ways to change dates to the ones she wanted.
Here are some of my ideas to discover this situation, but I hope someone can suggest even more steps because I would like to know every way that this situation can be discovered.
    1. Open the AR Invoices and use Data > Change Log and concentrate on dates.
    2. Run some SQL to validate document dates and system dates.  SELECT T0.DocNum, T0.DocDate, T0.CreateDate, T0.TaxDate, T0.UpdateDate FROM OINV T0 WHERE (T0.DocDate does not equal T0.CreateDate OR T0.TaxDate does not equal T0.CreateDate).  The results would show invoices that maybe had their dates changed.
3.Run a Document Journal in the Financial Module.  Finance > Financial Reports > Accounting > Document Journal with the u2018Expanded Selectionu2019 of AR Invoices and a date range covering the invoices in question.  Then see if the Transaction Numbers are out of sequence.
    4. Run a Transaction Journal Report Financials > Financial Reports > Accounting > Transaction Journal Report with AR Invoices.  Compare this report to Document Journal.
    5. Run the Utilities functions of Utilities > Check Document Numbering to see if there any anomalies there in the document numbers.
    6. Run the Administration > System Initialization > Document Numbering function to see if a special series has been set up.
    7. Check out the AR Invoice numbering order by running another simple SQL covering a range of the invoices in question. SELECT T0.DocNum, T0.TaxDate, T0.CreateDate, T0.UpdateDate FROM OINV T0 WHERE T0.DocNum > 1583 AND T0.DocNum < 3251 ORDER BY T0.CreateDate.  Then see if the AR Invoice Numbering Sequence is not consistent.
    8. Check out those documents that are connected to each suspect AR Invoice and their associated dates by using the Target and Base Document icons.  For example, if a Deliver Document has dates of January 2007 but the AR Invoice date is September 2006, then someone has played around with dates on at least one of the documents.
    9. Get copies of the complete company database before the alleged changes were made and a company database as of today and compare the two contents.  Only good if the backups are maintained for a long time.
Here come the questions on the ways I BELIEVE dates can be changed but not sure how to find and need to work on them:
QUESTION 1 u2013 If a person DTWs invoices up into SAP B1, how can I tell that DTW was used to change the dates, the date of the DTW run, and the dates that were changed?
QUESTION 2 u2013 If a person uses SQL to update dates on SAP B1, how can I find out that SQL has been used, the date of the SQL run, and the dates that were changed?
QUESTION 3 u2013 If a person goes out and changes the workstation and/or server Date and Timestamp Properties, how can I find that they did that and the date changes?  You can do this on your PC by just changing the month, date, and year in Microsoftu2019s Date and Timestamp Properties.
QUESTION 4 u2013 I know SAP has a policy that no SQL can be used to update databases and/or tables and have been told some customers lost support because they did this.  What does SAP do to discover this in their lab?
QUESTION 5 u2013 Are there any notes in the portals to help me find changed dates?
QUESTION 6 u2013 Are there any logs SAP B1 produces that can help identify such changes and how do I find and use them?
QUESTION 7 (and this is big) u2013 Are the other ways dates can be changed on AR Invoices and how would I uncover the way it was done and the needed information of Original Date and Changed Date?
Many, many thanks for any help provided since this is a serious situation.  If you can make any suggestions it would be greatly appreciatedu2026

    Hi Zal
If this person was an "Expert" on SAP Business One then the only way they would have changed dates would probably be directly in SQL itself. The best way to determine this would be to hope that they slipped up somewhere and forgot to change a particular date in let's say one specific table.
For invoices, start with the post date, doc date & create date. Then check each of these to the OJDT/JDT1 tables for any discrepancies. Next check the ADOC/ADO1 table for multiple instances on the invoice. If only 1 instance then check the create date, time & user as well as the aforementioned dates between OINV/INV1 & ADOC/ADO1. If multiple instances, check the dates from 1 instance to the next (This will indicate dates being changed in the system).
Next check the same dates against OINM table. If any of the dates do not tally then the SQL was changed directly.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.
    Kind regards
    Peter Juby

  • How to convert a note in pdf and put the data in the structure SOOD4

    Good day!
    I'm using CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF.
This function SO_DOCUMENTS_MANAGER selects a note from uploading and fills the structure SOOD4 with the file data.
Need to do this automatically, convert to pdf and fill the structure SOOD4

If I got your point correctly, you may use the function module SO_OBJECT_CREATE. Take a look at the thread below for an example on how to use it.

  • Any examples that shows PDF and HTML generated by indesign document side-by-side?

I am finding it hard to find example on the net of an indesign generated PDF, and also HTML exported from same document.
I'd like to see how good indesign export to HTML is by comparing the content of the pdf to the HTML side-by-side.
Any one knows if there examples like this on the net anywhere? The more complicated the document the better.
I do not have indesign myself, and was thinking of buying it.

Download InDesign Trial, learn it, then make your tests yourself. Be aware that if you know how to handle styles you will get complete different results. So the first thing you have to do, is to learn styles and no-gos, which are very important in HTML/EPUB export.
(No-gos are e.g. getting space between paragraphs with multiple return or shift return, hard line break, multiple spaces, etc.)
Then you have to know the limitations of HTML compared to PDF.

  • WCF-SQL notification and SQL Change Data Tracking - incompatible?

    Hi,
I have a DB with Change Data Tracking enabled on a particular table. Each time an Update/Insert is made on this table, I'm able to check what need to be synchronised with other systems by using the CHANGETABLE function of SQL Server.
And I want to use it with a Receive location WCF-SQL with inboundOperationType=Notification. So each time a modification is made on the table, I have a notification and I'm able to retrieve the updated/inserted records.
Unfortunately, it seems that using the CHANGETABLE is not supported in the NotificationStatement, I got the following error: "The notification callback returned an error. Info=Invalid. Source=Statement. Type=Subscribe.".
    Any ideas to workaround?
    Thanks.

    Hi Johns-305,
    Thank you for your response.
I'm not totally agreed with you about the notification because it depends on the situation.
In my case, I have a table in a remote SQL database where data are not changing often. But I want to retrieve the changes as fast as I can because it needs to be synchronised with a MDM.
The notification is great for me because I get a notification message just after a change and I can synchronise it. Of course, if my receive location is down I can't receive the notification but with the mechanism described in the MSDN article you pointed,
I can get the changes I missed during the outage.
And now I have a solution to use the notification and the Data Change tracking: I use a regular SELECT statement in the notification statement (SELECT <columns> FROM MYTABLE). If something changes in the table, I got a notification and then I send
a SELECT FROM CHANGETABLE(MYTABLE, ...) and I store the number of the last modification I got. So I can retrieve only the changes that occurs since my previous call.

    Hi all,
is it possible using business content to report orders based on the date that they were created -OR- changed/canceled (if they were).  My understanding is that BC reports orders by original CREATE date only.
    Any links or documents_?

any documents on best practices for this for order reporting and open order reporting...i want to make sure that the deltas reflect the "truth" as the business sees it here

  • IPAD page flips and books change uncontrollably

I have an I-pad 2 and when I open my library all my books are visible but when I open the book I am reading the i-pad begins turning pages and jumping and opening new books and turning pages and jumps again... I have tried shutting down with the sleep/power and resetting and it does not correct the problem. I have cleaned the screen but still I have what appears to be a ghost changing books and rapidly turning pages.
I have upgraded to ISO 8.1.2  rest the system and when I open books folder / library its like the device has a mind of its own it just open books at random and flips pages..
I do not have any additional applications I basically ONLY use this device to read books (Apple e-books) and its very frustrating. I have had no issues up until this point. Does anyone have a fix for this? I am currently out of the US traveling on business (which I have done with this I-pad for years) and have again not experienced this problem. If anyone has a fix please let me know

I have an ipad-I. I have tried this approach (going to the Amazon cloud->Mobile store) with both the Safari and the Google Mobile.
Safari: I can connect to the cloud, but when I then click on the Kindle Store, the browser stalls/chokes and doesn't load anything.
Google: I get all the way to the please select payment method screen. I select my credit card and then try clicking the Place your order tab. But nothing happens- the tab isn't clickable!
So I am unable to purchase any books for the kindle from my ipad (argh). I could go to my pc and purchase them etc, but its pretty inconvenient, and sometimes/traveleing I only have my ipad.  Any suggestions? Is this something peculiar with my ipad, or ipad-Is ... or ?

  • HT5557 How do I tell what PDFs and Books are NOT in a collection?

I just loaded my collection of PDF articles into my iPad, about 600 academic articles.  I've been putting them into collections, but when I go back to the "see my PDFs" portion of iBooks every PDF I have in iBooks shows up.
How do I show only the ones that are NOT in a named collection?
Without being able to see what is not in a named collection I can't tell what still needs to be filed.
    Thanks.

Start by showing all your duplicate tracks.
View "My Music" in iTunes, then choose "Songs" in the upper right.  Then use iTunes' menu to choose View > Show Duplicates.
Next, you can see what playlist(s), if any, each individual track is a member of.  Control click each duplicate and choose "Show in Playlist" from the drop-down.
It will take a long time to do this for thousands of duplicate tracks, but it probably took a whole lot longer to get your library into such a state.

  • Upgrade of Database with Oracle Change Data Capture

    Hello,
We are upgrading and moving our database to a different server.
The move is from 10G R1 database on Solaris to 11G R2 on Linux.
Our database uses Oracle Change Data Capture.
What is the best way to perform this migration? Unlike in the approach below, ideally, it would be without any manual steps to drop and recreate CDC subscriptions, change tables, etc.
    Thanks.
Considerations for Exporting and Importing Change Data Capture Objects
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B13789_01/server.101/b10736/cdc.htm#i1027532
Starting in Oracle Databse 10g, Oracle Data Pump is the supported export and import utility for Change Data Capture. Change Data Capture change sources, change sets, change tables, and subscriptions are exported and imported by the Oracle Data Pump expdp and impdp commands with the following restrictions:
After a Data Pump full database import operation completes for a database containing AutoLog Change Data Capture objects, the following steps must be performed to restore these objects:
    1. The publisher must manually drop the change tables with the SQL DROP TABLE command. This is needed because the tables are imported without the accompanying Change Data Capture metadata.
    2. The publisher must re-create the AutoLog change sources, change sets, and change tables using the appropriate DBMS_CDC_PUBLISH procedures.
    3. Subscribers must re-create their subscriptions to the AutoLog change sets.

    Hello,
I opened SR with Oracle Support, they are suggesting to perform full database import/export
Change Data Capture change sources, change sets, change tables, and subscriptions are exported and imported by the Oracle Data Pump expdp and impdp commands with the following restrictions.
Change Data Capture objects are exported and imported only as part of full database export and import operations (those in which the expdp and impdb commands specify the FULL=y parameter). Schema-level import and export operations include some underlying objects (for example, the table underlying a change table), but not the Change Data Capture metadata needed for change data capture to occur."
    CDC has different implementation methods:
You may use the below query to determine-
    select SOURCE_NAME, SOURCE_DESCRIPTION, CREATED, SOURCE_TYPE, SOURCE_DATABASE, SOURCE_ENABLED from change_sources;
    – Synchronous CDC: with this implementation method you capture changes
synchronously on the source database into change tables. This method uses
internal database triggers to enable CDC. Capturing the change is part of the
original transaction that introduces the change thus impacting the performance
    of the transaction.
    – Asynchronous Autolog CDC: this implementation method requires a staging
database separate from the source database. Asynchronous Autolog CDC uses
the database's redo transport services to transport redo log information from
the source database to the staging database1. Changes are captured at the
staging database. The impact to the source system is minimal, but there is some
latency between the original transaction and the change being captured.
    As suggested in the document-
Change Data Capture objects are exported and imported only as part of full database export and import operations (those in which the expdp and impdb commands specify the FULL=y parameter). Schema-level import and export
operations include some underlying objects (for example, the table underlying a change table), but not the Change Data Capture metadata needed for change data capture to occur.
    ■ AutoLog change sources, change sets, and change tables are not supported.
Starting in Oracle Database 10g, Oracle Data Pump is the supported export and import utility for Change Data Capture.
Re-Creating AutoLog Change Data Capture Objects After an Import Operation
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14223/cdc.htm#i1027532
After a Data Pump full database import operation completes for a database containing AutoLog Change Data Capture objects, the following steps must be performed to restore these objects:
    a. The publisher must manually drop the database objects underlying AutoLog Change Data Capture objects.
    b. The publisher must re-create the AutoLog change sources, change sets, and change tables using the appropriate DBMS_CDC_PUBLISH procedures.
    c. Subscribers must re-create their subscriptions to the AutoLog change sets.

  • Approaches to transfer changed data from a table to another table

    Hello expert,
will you please show me all approaches to automatically detect and transfer changed data from a table to another table ? I don't need detail information, but a little comment for those approaches are more welcome.
    Many Thanks,

You will want to review information on replication and similar methods
    In a nutshell:
Replication allowed data to exist at more than one site and take the Master / original table data and clone it at a different site
As tranporting all of the table data to a remote / clone site got more and more expensive we developed a method
to identify just the 'diffs' and only send those from the master to the clone which needed only the diffs to become a clone of the master table
This has many methods and options, but looking under key words such as
    - distributed transations
    - materialized views
    - replication
... are a few categories that will get you started
