PDFs in iCloud wont open on the iPAD

I have moved PDFs from my iMac into iCloud so I could read them on my iPad. I've been told I should put them into iBooks, but I don't know how. Can anyone help?

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you want to view a pdf with iBooks. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.

    Is there a setting that needs to be set to allow the annotation features?  I set password protection to open and then password for editing and set it to Any except page extraction, but it still did not give the annotation option

    Search your hard drive for a file containing ITL in it. That is the file extension for the itunes database file. You might need to set Win Explorer options to show NOT hide file extensions.
    Once you are sure you know where that file is, press AND HOLD the shift key while starting itunes. Keep holding the shift key until you see a question about choosing or creating a library. Choose the ITL file you found during your search.

    Try this repair for Keynote 6.2,  ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:
    1 
    delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application
    2 
    empty the trash:  Finder > Empty Trash
    3 
    Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
    When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
    If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in. 
    Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive

    when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click  repair disc permissions

    when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

    Is there a plug-in yet for Firefox that will allow pdf forms to be opened in the browser (instead of downloaded), and then submitted to an e-mail address using the submit button on the form? I finally installed the plug-in that allows a pdf to open in Firefox and not downloaded, but the Submit button doesn't work.

    Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)
    If it comes back, try deleting a different app or two temporarily to see if it'll complete the download. Then you can delete it.

    I get this message when I try to download a pdf file from a website.

    This is a new error. There used to be no problem.

    Do you have any setting for MP3 in Tools > Options > Applications ?
    You usually need the QuickTime plugin to play MP3 files on Windows because that is the only plugin that supports that file extension if there is no MIME type specified to play the file with another plugin like Windows Media Player or RealPlayer.

  • Mail app defaults to opening the last email I opened on the iPad

    I have a new 32gb iPad.  I'm new to the tablet arena, so forgive me if the question has been answered 1,000 times.
    I configured my work email using the mail app - easy as pie (using Exchange server).  However, when I open the mail app, what displays is the last email I opened on the iPad.  it doesn't open up to my inbox with a list of email, or to my folder list - it literally opens up to the last email I opened on the machine.
    Is this intended behaviour?  If so, is it changable?  I'd really like to see my inbox without having to hit the button to bring up my inbox.

    To get a list of accounts or emails, turn the iPad to landscape orientation. List automatically appears when you do. Otherwise, it does open to the last message you were viewing when you closed it.

    There are several ways. The two easiest are to click the Junk icon to turn it off or right click the message and select Mart As-Not Junk.

    Lightroom Mobile will not open on the iPad 4. Tried everything. Have deleted and redownloaded the app 4x, restarted, updated iPad software. Nothing works. Enter name and password and the wheel just spins.

    Remove the app from your iPad.
    Power off your iPad
    Power on your iPad
    Make sure you have all iOS 7 updates installed
    Reinstall the app from the App Store.

    I upgraded to Mountain Lion recently and I see in Preview I am able to store PDFs on iCloud. Does this mean synchronozation to the iPad aswell?
    I'm wanting to consoladate and only use iCloud instead of Dropbox.

    How can I transfer my docx. and pdf. files using the newest edition of microsoft office word from my Laptop to the program "pages 09"?
    It seems that pages can only import doc. files? To convert my files makes no sense because the whole layout will be messed up.
    Hope someone can help me with this, or maybe apple is currently working on that behalf

    Are you sure your posting this in the appropriate forum? you mention "Pages 09", but this is the iPad pages forum. (I know the link above does not say "IPad", but it is).
    If this is on iPad:
    Word doesn't open pdf files, only outputs them. Use Goodreader on the ipad to read any pdfs, or other pdf reader that is free.
    I just tried opening a docx file on my iPad and it opened fine in Pages. Just had to replace a font that wasn't on the iPad that I apparenlty had used on the document.
    If not on iPad:
    Desktop Pages opens docx files fine, it did it before MS published the Mac version that saved as docx.
    PDF's should open in Preview.
