PDS & PPM transfer ECC -- APO
Hello Experts,
when I try to create IM in ECC to transfer PDS or PPM for a specific product, no single PDS or PPM can be selected. I already transfered the products and plants in a separate IM easiyl but traying to transfer PDS for these products, no single record is slected.
Thank you for your help &
best regards
Aban
Hi Aparna,
thank you for your advice. I put the material in filter criteria and the outcome is: zero PDS was selction in CFM1 (the same for PPM even for different validity dates). Are there any preliminary steps needed before creating IM? These products are still active in the system and currently produced.

BADI to change the PDS priority in ECC
Need to change the priority of the PDS during CIF. Please suggest the BADI which can be used in ECC side.I guess BAdis /SAPAPO/CURTO_SNP and /SAPAPO/CURTO_CREATE.can be used in APO. I need to change PDS value in ECC side while doing CIF or CURTO_CREATE..
With thanks & regards,
naveenHi Naveen,
As far as I know, in ECC the PDS is represented by the Production Version.
We don't have a priority to be assigned directly in the Production Version in ECC. The PV determination in ECC can be managed by the locking indicator, the lot sizes, the validity periods and the sequence in which the PV was created.
It can be possible to assign a priority thru a Quota Arrangemenet.

PDS,PPM,supply chain model,production version in R/3
Dear Guys,
can some one help me to find the key difference between
1)PDS,PPM,Supply chain Model and production version in R/3
Thanks
RajOne major difference between PDS & PPM is that PPMs can be edited in APO whereas PDS cannot be modified in APO. Any changes required for PDS needs to be done to the relevant R/3 master data and then CIFed to APO.
Choice PDS v/s PPM?
Functionally both are fine and can be used. However SAP recommends using PDS since it will not support any new enhancements for PPMs going forward. For some reason they want to encourage use of PDS rather than PPMs.

Scheduling difference between ECC & APO
We have difference in scheduling result between ECC & APO, in case of parallel sequence operations.Detail information are attached in document. Please revert back how to resolve this issue.
Any suggestion/update from experts
Thanks in Advance,
LalitHi Lalit,
I think that is a misunderstood on how should works together APO and ECC systems.
The SKUs planned by APO should not be rescheduled by ECC system again. There is a logic to respect. The MRP Type X0 for the SKUs planned on APO side is exactly to prevent the rescheduling on ECC side.
The changed or recreated pl.orders (for X0) by ECC system will not be always updated on APO side. In this case SAP will not assume the responsibility of the data consistency between the two systems.
Thanks Marius
Below you have some explanation:
Date changes in SAP R/3 cause SAP APO to carry out a new scheduling run of its own.
SAP recommends that you change dates in SAP APO.
Symptom
In your business process, you expect that APO transfers the dates that were determined in the R/3 System for manufacturing orders using scheduling. However, APO does not transfer these dates. This is because:
If a manufacturing order is integrated between R/3 and APO, APO is
the date/time-dominant system.
The reverse scenario, that the R/3 System sets dates and APO accepts
these dates, is not provided for in the standard system.
Other terms
Date transfer, schedule
variance, operation, phase, production order, process order
Solution
In the standard system, you
cannot guarantee that APO also takes on the dates determined in the R/3 System -
WEB UI Status profile TPM transfer to APO
Hi,
We try to upgrade our CRM system from 4.0 to 5.2 at a customer. Now, the following problem came up with the transfer of promotions to APO;
We created our own status profile (ZTPM) which we configured in a way so that promotions were transferred to APO (This worked in CRM 4.0).
When we created a promotion and put the status to Unconfirmed (which in CRM 4.0 transfers the promotion to APO) and save, the necessary Bdocs are created and said to be fully processed. When you look in the error log for Bdoc Type MKTPL_MKTELEM, click on error and long text, it says that the promotion does not have a status which permits to be transferred to APO.
(Error message from SAP: BDOC status does not allow transfer to APO; Message no. CRM_MKTPL_APO_INT110 Diagnosis: The promotion has a status which does not allow it to be transferred to APO. Procedure: Check the status settings and either change the settings to allow the transfer to APO or change the status.
In customizing however, we have defined that for user status Unconfirmed (E0004) the business transaction CAPO is allowed. The same applies for status Released. Both statuses we have tested.
What happens in the WEB UI concerning the status profile? Has anything changed compared to CRM 4.0?
I hope someone can help me out. Points will be rewarded if we are helped, because we are dealing with a show stopper here!
Best regards,
Simone SchuitemakerHi Simone,
I am posting this replay just for other people:
In this case the transfer was failing because of two active implementations of BAdI CRM_MKTPL_APO_INT. There should be at most one active implementation for any BAdI.

GR processing time difference for PO/STO scheduling in ECC & APO
Hi All,
We are facing issue of PO scheduling in ECC & APO----
-- In ECC, system calculates requirement date with planned delivery time +GR processing time but during addition of GR processing time it excludes weekends( Saturday & Sunday) However in APO, system calculates requirement date by addition of GR processing time in the planned delivery time but it includes weekends & eventually requirement date mismatch.
-- Secondly we are using handling resource for scheduling purpose in APO but we found start time is different for differnent handling resources e.g. 14.00,16.00 ,from where the system picks up the timings
-- In APO product master ,GR processing time is 1 day but during PO scheduling, system picks 3 days & calculats requirement date ,its strange for me
Is there any way out for above mentioned issues
Thanks in advance for your help
Kind regards
MilindHi,
Please check the factory calendars and time stream ids. The working schedule of APO should match with ECC.
The location master also needs to be checked for what time stream is attached there and what is the working schedule.

Production orders without header material transfer to APO
Hi,
for our process it's necessary to transfer dependent demands from rework production orders (without header material) to APO because the ATP check for the component take place in APO. In standard there is no way tor transfer such orders to APO. Only one possible solution is to add during order transfer a dummy material in order to trigger the transfer to APO. Is there anybody that have already used this???
Best regards
alexHi JJ,
1. Reference Operation Set - t-code CA11. In the initial screen, enter description, plant - xxxx, usage - 1 & status - 4, unit of measure - same as the material for which the routing is to be used (eg - EA or KG etc).
Click on operations tab, enter control key, work center, operation description.
2. Settlement - When you enter the basic details in co07 like description, basic qty, dates, the system will take you to the settlement screen where you need to enter the settlement receiver. Here you specity CTR for cost center or G/L for G/L account, you then have to specify the corresponding cost element number & also the % of settlement, which is normally 100%. You can also access this by clicking on header - settlement
Hope the above answers your query. If additional info is required, revert back.
If helpful award points

Error in Data transfer ECC to APO
Hello Guys,
I'm getting an error in my system when I try to transfer data from ECC to APO system. When I CIF (after generating IM, when I activate it) older data (master data created previously in system), I'm getting a short dump with mesage class 'XC', It says :
Diagnosis
An internal condition was found during the
the system to access a substandard program"
Trigger Location of Runtime Error
Program SAPLCSER
Include LCSERU02
Row 101
Module type (FUNCTION)
Module Name CIF_SER_MESSAGE_SERIALIZE.
But when I create a new data and try to transfer it, it smoothly transfers into APO without any dump or error.
Similarly, when I pull the data in APO with CCR, I get short dump while iterating data:
Category ABAP Programming Error
Runtime Errors DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_UNKNOWN
ABAP Program /SAPAPO/SAPLDM_LC_SQL
Application Component BC-DB-LCA.
The current ABAP program "/SAPAPO/SAPLDM_LC_SQL" had to be terminated because
it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
A table is referred to in an SAP Open SQL statement that either does not
exist or is unknown to the ABAP Data Dictionary.
The table involved is "/SAPAPO/ORDMAP" or another table accessed in the
statement.
I'm not much aware on LC technology, I have deactivated & activate LC once in LCA10. Also, checked consitency in OM17, it shown no inconsistency. Plus, when checked in OM13, all checks are showing green.
Can you please suggest what needs to be done?
Thanks,

Both the queues which are seen are while I created a sales order in ECC.
If I further double click, it will take me into FM and after clicking queue name 'MCEX11' I could see:

Is PPDS PDS possible without ECC ie using LSMW BAPI or similar?
We are trying to get an APO SNP/PPDS model working for planning in divisions before hooking up fully to ECC, and have got SNP PDS uploads working fine for SNP using BAPI (BUS10014 Production Data Structure) which we trigger within an LSMW.
But trying to create PPDS PDS instead (so we can use some block planning functionality) and I have not got to work yet. Almost works, ie data goes into most of the background table, but PPDS PDS cannot be seen in display transaction, and cant use it.
Wondering if anyone else has got to work? And if it is even POSSIBLE? ie maybe PPDS is only designed to work with ECC wheras SNP can work stanalone or with non-SAP system?Hello all,
It is possible that you have syntax error for development objects that are assigned to a package (Dev class) that is 'switchable' and that its switch is off.
In general, these development objects are meant to be used when specific 'business functions' are switched on.
Switching on a business function has to be analyzed and tested carefully because most of them CANNOT be switched off. Even Reversible business functions cannot be switched off when they are activated in a productive system. This is forbidden.
In this specific example, program SAPLBOS04 belongs to package AD_BOS_01. This package contains switchable objects related to switch ECO_BOS. This switch can be switched on via more than one 'industry-specific' business functions all belonging to DIMP.
Switching on DIMP has to be analyzed thoroughly because some business functions are getting automatically switched on (Bfunc DIMP_SDUD) and cannot be reverted.
Each business function activates different functionality. Documentation can be found in IMG -> Activate Business Functions (TA SFW5). There you have a Documentation column with a link to the Help Portal.
Using TA SFW_BROWSER you can see the different objects related to business functions displayed in a tree.
Before switching on business functions you have to take precautions. See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/de/899442047b0831e10000000a1550b0/content.htm

PPM and ECC (BOM-Routing)
Hi APO Gurus
Please help me to figure out the right answer:
You have 2 Resources, 3 BOMS, and 2 ECC product versions, how many PPM should I get??... I think that there should be 6 PPM, but I'm not quite sure of that answer because of the ECC product versions, so 2 mignt be correct also... please help me!!!
Thanks
EliasHi Elias,
A PPM is the combination of Bom and routing. A PPM corresponds to a production version in SAP R/3.
Obviously, you should get 2 PPMs generated out of each production versions.

Hi All,
Could someone who has experience please show me the light? I have hunted high and low for this solution. Within the documentation there is a solution which utilizes a Badi called /SAPAPO/CULLRTOSNP found in this documentation link below http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/71/513b407b686913e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm .
We are running ECC 6 & SCM 7. We have been unable to find this Badi. We have also tried t-code PDS Maint to send our costing information to APO. None has worked.
Many thanks in advance,
GeoffHi Geoff,
Please check BADI BADI /SAPAPO/CURTO_SNP.

Deletion of production order in ECC / APO
Hi,
It is not possible to set DLFL (Deletion flag) when the order is in
CRTD status also when the order is DLV or TECO with no actual cost or open order value .
It is happening in both the scenarios when
1. Plan order is created in APO and then converted to prod order
2. Plan order and prod order both are created in ECC , but both are transferred to APO
What shall be the process for deleting the prod order in ECC.
With regards,
MrinalHi Mrinal,
1) You can delete the production order in created status in APO using transaction /n/sapapo/rlcdel, select the required categories for deletion.
Once the order gets deleted in APO, it will get deleted automatically from ECC also. If not the transaction /sapapo/ccr to be used which will remove it upon iteration.
2) Alternatively, if you carry out techo in ECC for a production order which is released, once after delting in ECC, queues needs to be cleared and then subsequently /sapapo/ccr to be run for production orders, so that it will get cleared from APO also upon iteration.
Please try these and let me know whether your query is resolved.

Purchase Information Records - Transfer to APO
Hi APO Gurus,
We are trying to figure out how we can prevent the indicator "Take Planned Delivery Time Into Account"
from being selected after we transfer over a new PIR or change a PIR and then re-transfer it back over to APO. Right now, it appears that this indicator is automatically set and we do not want to use the planned delivery time from the Transportation Lane in our lead time calculation.
I have not found anything in OSS or in the online documentation. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you,
PaulHi Rumi,
you can control which data transfer from R/3 to APo in enchancement CIFSRC01 in R/3 For scheduling agreement, purchase inforecord, contract. You can used BADI with name /SAPAPO/PWB_TPSRC to change the data transfer from R/3 .

Customer, Vendor transfer to APO
Hi,
When we are working with non-VMI scenarios, do we need to CIF customers and vendors to APO? Somebody said we need to transfer customers to APO only in VMI scenario. is this correct? What about vendors?
THanks.Depends on your scope in APO
If you are doing scenarios where you need vendors(as in subcontracting)
or if you have VMI or even larger customers with whom you expect to share plans with collaborative planning .... you would want to CIF them to APO
Customers and Vendors are created as locations in APO with different location types
