Whats wrong ???
Ta Graham

Thanks Bill
I will take the usb cable that came with the camera to the computer people who built my desktop to make sure i get the correct cable
My wife took the cable and PE11 instructions (1 page !) to local electrical shop (Harvey Normans) and asked for a firewire cable
The pimply faced young "salesperson" laughed at the thought somebody would be requesting OLD technology ! as they don't sell firewire cables
and Dick Smiths You Beaut electrical specialst shop had 1 cable that wasn't the right one (it was the same pin on both ends)
I am frustrated that the instructions and help page all say that I can connect the DV mini tape camcorder by the usb 2.0 cable but I can't
I've been playing with the usb connection today and did manage to get a picture on to the screen but can't do anything with it !
Was reading reviews on new camcorders and video editing software, one suggestion was to turn camera on AFTER starting PE11 (not before as in instructions)
Got to capture screen
Capturing source shows....... camera and ! in yellow triangle
message ...... No DV camera detected
switch camera on
debug message appears (as before)
capture source changes..... to picture of tape
preview screen message changes to.....  your camera setting is different  to your project setting (click here to learn more) ( I clicked here, but didn't learn anything )
click on black area of preview screen and debug message goes off screen (minimises)
close message on preview screen
Capture Button is red
click on capture button and nothing happens
if i play tape in camera at this stage it also plays in preview screen
I don't understand computers at all but it seems the PE11 regognizes that a camera is attached and the camcorder can send the picture via usb but PE11 is having a problem finding it ???
I hope the firewire cable helps ( I don't really want to spend money on a useless cable to add to the collection)
Ta
Graham
PS I'm in Australia. what part of the world are you in ? Does it make any difference with the technology we are using ? Do you know Harvey Norman/Dick Smith outlets ???

  • Premiere Elements Timecode.cpp-1014 error when adding media

    Software: Premiere elements 11
    Camera: Sony DCR TRV22E
    OS: Windows 7
When selecting add media I get: [..\..\Src\Timecode.cpp-1014] error multiple times, when the capture window eventually comes up it says the capture device is offline.
This happens not only when the camera is connected and powered but also when camera is not connected.
I have tried the different IEEE1394 drivers available in windows 7 and none of them work.

1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy)

The connection to the camera through firewire is ok because I can download video from it using Nero Video Essentials, I just cannot do it through Premiere Elements 11.

Oops, I put the wrong error code in the title, it should be timecode.cpp-1014

There is absolutely no reason you can't use this camcorder with Premiere Elements. It's a miniDV! There's clearly something going on with your computer that's unrelated to Premiere Elements.
For instance, this appears to be a European camcorder. Is your program installed for PAL rather than NTSC? It's an obvious question but one that needs to be asked.
Also, PLEASE try using the free program WinDV to capture your video over a FireWire connection. If it does,we know something is wrong with your Premiere Elements installation. If not, we know it's something more basic.
Nero, by the way, it notorious for not sharing certain hardware resources. I've never known it to block access to the FireWire -- but I suppose it's possible.
So, please, instead of just flipping off Premiere Elements, do a little basic troubleshooting. Problems with a FireWire/miniDV capture are virtually unheard of, and I'm really curious what's going on with your system!

  • Timecode.ccp-1014 error  You're my last hope adobe forums.

    Ok, first of all.
    Windows 7
    6 core
    nvidia gt 460
and cs6 demo production premium. (STILL waiting on my email for my serial number too wink wink.)
Ok, I imported a file OVER to Premiere pro from AE.  Had been working on a personal project which has taken me about 5 nights to do.  Once this AE file has been imported everything went to crap.  Now, I can still work in there.  But if I so much as scroll down to where this ae project is on I get this error "timecode.ccp-1014."  Thats cool. I MIGHT still be able to complete this with this still on but would rather not.  Its just selecting clips from my project panel has become massively annoying.  Importing AE clips is now impossible.  I cant click on it, I cant trash it and cant find a way to remove it without turning on PP.  I have taken it offline, I have skipped it during load up, but it still shows up and shuts down PP when it gets a chance.  Besides THIS I am loving CS6 Premium Production.  Can anyone help me out there?

I'll definitely do that next time.  Thing is I cant select any new clips from the project panel without it freezing and coming up with said error then shutting down.  I tried opening the pp file and editing the appropriate files (in notepad ++) so it wouldnt load it in the first place but it says the file is corrupted.  Just trying to find a workaround now to remove the clip from the project altogether.

  • Help with the awful Timecode.cpp-1014 crash

    Hello dear fellow Adobe users.
    First the technical layout:
    Hardware: iMac (Late 2012 - 27") 3,2 GHz Interl Core i5 - 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3.
Project HDD: LACIE 8TB Raid-disk connected with Thunderbolt.
    Software: Running Premiere Pro CS6 (6.0.0 - Mighty Kilt) on  OS X - 10.8.5 (12F45)
I've edited a documentary now for over 6 months on this machine, adding various media types but mainly sticking to my standard Quicktimne Prores LT and HQ. The sequence is a standard DSLR-preset (1080p - 25fps) but I've been adding media with mixed framerate and audio-specs. And this has worked like a charm for 30 versions (incremenally saved project files).
Suddenly today, this following message starts popping up:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/mightykilt/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../.. /Src/Timecode.cpp-1014]
I gathered yesterdays project-file from an online backup system I'm running, but to my dismay - the same message appears shortly after I start editing again. I've even tried to open even older versions of the project, with the same error encountered.
    So far, I've tried:
    * Deleting the temp/cache files
    * Reinnstalling Premiere Pro CS6
    * Rebooting several times
    * Unplugged all USB-peripherals (project disk excluded)
If anyone has anything that can guide me out of this nightmare - I would appreciate it tremendously.
All the best from a desperate Premiere-user from Norway

Update for anyone else who's struggeling with this:
Nothing worked. I tried everything under the sun and the program version seemed to fail with the project file - even old versions of the project! So I guess it had something to do with all the different media (formats, timecodes and filetypes). Still a horrible and quite serious error on Adobe and Premiere's part - not having the backbone to handle such a error when it occurs. For any reason, you should get really concrete reasons why a project fails and a solid way to fix it.
Here, it just said; "Timecode.cpp-1014". That is really a unprofessional way to behave, being a professional software.
After installing the CS6.0.5 update, the same error occured every time. But after installing CC and importing the project there, I'm happy to repport that I've not had one crash or error-message.
Maybe it was all a way to get me to buy the CC-version. Who knows. My iPhone always seem to get a faulty battery a couple of weeks after the new version arrives...
So conclusion: the project will open and work in CC, but continues to fail and crash in all versions of CS6 on multiple machines.

  • Timecode.cpp-1014, premiere keeps crashing?

    Hello,
I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS 6.01. I have been working on a project hassle-free for about 2 weeks now. The other day, after I have been working in Encore (I did NOT link the PPro Project, but rather I exported the video files first), suddenly my Premiere Pro project keeps crashing. Every time I open the project, as soon as all media has loaded, it has a Timecode.cpp-1014 error. Strangely, I am not capturing any footage (from what I have read about this error). Here is a screen shot of this error:
It always pops up twice like that. Then, once I click continue, it has this error:
    and then Premiere Pro closes.
I also notice the red "x" in the bottom right corner of the screen, and before I close Premiere, I click it and it pops up saying, "An input violation has occurred!"
    My sequence settings are: AVC-Intra 100 1080i 60Hz, 29.97 frames/second, 1920 x 1080 square pixels, upper fields first, 30fps drop-frame Timecode.
In my project, I have the above footage (AVCHD, from a Canon Vixia Hf G10), footage from my iPhone 4s, linked audio from Audition, and linked animations from After Effects.
My computer has the following specs:
    Intel i7-2600 @ 3.40GHz
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    16BM Ram
3TB Hard drive space, on 2 hard drives'
ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series, 1024MB
750-watt power supply, Cooler Master GX750W
Any advice/help would be much appreciated!
    Zack

I'm working on a feature length doc (I have footage from over 100 shoot days), and I'm having similar problems that seem to center around a "master project" I'm importing projects into.  I create a project for each shoot date where I will log/sync footage from that day, but then also sometimes I play around and edit footage together (into squences saved with that day's project).  I'm creating the "master project" by importing the 100+ daily project files, so I can retain the keywords I've assigned and the bin structure.  The goal is to be able to search through my footage in the master project by using (among other things) keywords and logging info, and begin editing my scenes together using footage from over the 100 days.
Unfortunately this master project crashes all the time... it's blatantly unuseable.  I should note that some of the already-edited-scenes are were edited in Final Cut, and imported as squences (i.e. FCP XML).
Either Premiere can't handle all the linking that's going on, or it can't handle that amount of footage... either way I don't know what to do.

  • VerifyError: Error #1014 (class could not be found)

I have a Flash Pro CS5 project that I have built some classes for in Flash Builder using some of the mx classes, like ArrayCollection and HTTPService. I have a Flash Project in my Flash Builder 4.0 pointing to the Flash Pro project. I started out by adding the Library Path to the Flex SDK 4.0.0 in my Flash project paths. Things seemed to work fine at first but now I am getting the following error:
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class mx.collections::ArrayCollection could not be found
If I change all my ArrayCollections to be just Arrays, then the same error just cascades down the list of "missing" mx classes, like HTTPService, etc. I individually added the the framework.swc, the rpc.swc and even the framework_rb.swc and rpc_rb.swc files to the paths but with the same error results.
I'm trying to set up a relatively smooth workflow between Flash developers and Flex developers on my team but this is a huge roadblock.
I have looked all over and not found a good solution for this problem. Can anyone help?
    Dana

I figured out a solution. It had to do with conflicting or out of order library paths, I think. There were several paths to other projects in the project and Flash Pro global paths. I think some of them are automatically added by either the FP or the FB IDEs. When I removed all of the unnecessary paths, then it compiled just fine.

  • Timecode error in batch capture

I've searched this problem but still haven't found an answer. When I batch capture, I get a "Timecode error" and on about half the clips I logged I have to cancel out of the capture. some work, some don't. It's not a problem with the pre-roll at the beginning of the tape; I left plenty of room when I set the in/out, and the first clip is now captured anyway so it can't be the start of the tape. But every time I try to capture the rest of the clips, I get this error with some if not most of them. I've changed the setting to NDF and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm only capturing in the middle of the tape now, so the beginning and end have lots of space. Please someone tell me how to stop this! I just upgraded to Pro and it's my first attempt at batch capture, so I'm pretty disappointed that it's such a waste of time.
    Thanks, smart people!

Great, now you made Studio go and have some fun on the weekend.
X is right eliminate things one at a time.
You didn't let us know what drive you are capturing to.
If capturing from the camera doesn't work, it may be that you are experiencing the "multiple FW devices on one FW bus issue" in which case you might try looping the camera or deck through the drive, works for some, but more likely you will need to install another FW bus via the card slot on the laptop.
By the way, this really doesn't sound like a drop/non drop issue, but look at the timecode display of the footage on tape. If the last 2 numbers are preceded by a semicolon,,, it's drop frame.
Now, I believe someone mentioned the US Open!

  • Batch Capture : Timecode Error?

So I am attempting to capture my first video onto FCP from my Canon XL. I have about 5 minutes of video and I have logged the info for each clip. They are all in my "Bin 1" and it is set as a "logging bin." The first logged clip that i want it to capture i have marked the "In Point" at 00:00:00;00 and the "Out Point" at around 00:01:09;24. The rest of my 11 clips just go in order (i.e. 2nd clip: In = 00:01:09;25 etc...). After doing all of this I click on "Batch" under the "Capture" option, a big black screen pops up over my FCP with the capture info underneath the black screen in a gray strip. My camera then rewinds to the beginning and STOPS. I then have to sit and wait for anythin to happen, my camera still saying "STOP," and then a message pops up reading the following:
Batch Capture: Timecode Error: Unable to locate the specified timecode. You may have specified a timecode with insufficient room for a pre/post roll operation.
I have no idea what this means and I am beginning to get impatient with capturing my video. In the Log and Capture window, the tab that says Logging, i did not mess with the "Markers." I don't know if this matters.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated so that I can start editing my project with this wonderful software otherwise.
    God bless,
    |-(|:^D
    `

In standard trim, FCP needs at least 5 seconds preroll before capturing. The preroll is so the tape can get up to speed, the heads read timecode accurately and so on. You have discovered what happens when you give it no oppertunity to sort itself out.
The simple answer for your current situation is to set your first in point 10 seconds after the start of the time code. Be sure to make sure your last clip's OUT point is 10 seconds or more before the end of time code or you can have problems at that end of the capture as well.
The long term answer is next time let the camera run for a minute or two before you start recording anything you will want to keep. The same is true for the end of the tape - let it run for another half minute or so.
    Cheers,

  • Flash builder 4.5 + mobile apps + mx components : error#1014

    Hi everyone,
I found about the capabilities of Flex/Air a few weeks ago and I started experimenting. I'm interested in the mobile apps in particular.
I downloaded the final release of Flash Builder and started to "code" a few things (I am fairly new to ActionScript too).
The thing is I have errors when launching the mobile apps on an emulator or on my Desire HD.
Typical example is this app from Ryan Stewart : http://blog.digitalbackcountry.com/2011/03/slides-and-assets-from-adobe-refresh/
I tried to run his CollaborationMobile App (as I want to work with LCCS) onto a device emulator thanks to Flash Builder but I get the following errors :

  • Error while loading services: Failure in Loader: VerifyError: Error #1014

I have a library that, after it loads, I see this error in the console:
Failure in Loader: VerifyError: Error #1014: Class mx.collections::ArrayCollection could not be found.
I had the same problem with another library, except it had a problem with IToken. I got around this problem by changing the default linkage of libraries in build path from external to merge into code. That did not work this time.
Merging Flex libraries into service libraries does not seem to be anything close to the correct way to deal with this. Besides, it didn't some the problem every time.
What is the best way to keep these sorts of dependency errors from arising? The RSLs are included with Web apps, but not with libraries.

    I have found what happened.
I created a library and created a data model within it. I created some entities within the data model. Some of those entities had collections as properties. I created the ActionScript code for the model and the collections were ArrayCollections. I moved the interfaces of the created code to a separate library.
The interfaces need to be changed from using ArrayCollection to IList. I knew enough about that to change it for the service I was trying to bring into my application. I missed another interface that had ArrayCollections as properties and that caused the error.
After cleaning up all of the ArrayCollection references from the interface library my service loaded.
The Hello Gravity video tutorial has a very good explanation on why specific implementations of Flex classes are not used in service interfaces: http://blogs.adobe.com/gravity/2011/09/09/hellogravity-sample-application/

  • Timecode error while importing

    Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to Final Cut Pro, so please take it easy on me. I'm getting a "waiting for timecode" error when trying to import video. Here's what I'm using and trying to do.
    Final Cut Pro 7.0.1
    Sony Handycam DCR-HC30
    Video Source DVR/VCR
Ok, I have a program that I have recorded and have the rights to saved on my DVR. I have an S-video and audio cable hooked up to my camera, which is setup to output the video to my mac via firewire. Everything is connected correctly and the signal shows up in the preview window perfectly.
When I go to File>Log and Capture then click "Capture Now". I get the waiting for timecode error. Is there any way around this?
I opened iMovie and hit import and it started recording right away with no problem.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I am sorry that you are having that problem. From what I have been reading in other discussion boards it appears that the same problem persists when other devices are connected(for instance, some that use the firewire ports).
Here is a link from a persona that had a similar problem to yours,

  • Timecode error

I'm new to FCP and just don't understand what's happening when I try to capture clips. (I use an external JVC DV-VHS player to play the mini DV tape.)
I pop in the tape, view and mark the in and out points, then try and capture the clip. I get an error message that says something about the timecode. (Sorry, should have copied the error message.) However, when I look at the display on my DV player, during the capture procedure, it always goes back beyond where I set the in point and then gives me the timecode error.
What am I doing wrong ?
    Thanks for any help.
    dual G5   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

theres this thing called preroll. you need the "deck to be rooling for 5 seconds before the capture for everything to be locked up and for 5 seconds after the out point. these can be adjusted in device settings but going below 3 seconds can cause problems. when shooting roll for 5 seconds before you really get something and when the directors says cut count 5 mississippi s before you go out of record.

  • Error #1014: Class flash.media::MicrophoneEnhancedOptions could not be found.

    Hi,
I'm trying to build a mobile app, that is using a webcam, text/audio chat. The web cam and the text chat is working fine with me, I even tried the whiteboard and it was working. Once I tried to add the Audio part I got this error:
"Error #1014: Class flash.media::MicrophoneEnhancedOptions could not be found.

I tried several swc file but still getting the same error. Any help or tips how to solve this issue?
Is there a Mobile SDK version will be release soon?
    Many thanks
    Suha

    Hi, Suha
As the release notes state, you must be compiling to AIR 2.7. I believe that
the error you are seeing is a result of targeting AIR 2.6.
Please see the instructions helpfully provided here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3847495#3847495
(also note that you must add the following to your Flex Compiler settings:
    -swf-version=12
    Thanks

  • VerifyError: Error #1014: Class spark.skins::SparkSkin could not be found.

I keep getting this error with every SDK after and including release 4.0.0.13099.
I noticed in the release notes that the skins were now included as a Runtime Shared Library (sparkskins.swc). But I don't know how to make the compiler include it when building the app (if that is the problem). Anyway, even if I start with a new project and an empty mxml-file I get the error 1014 above. And it is always followed by this error:
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable _cee9af537b39795a3bd1729ebe7d63f3803fa353596b9c82a79ce2891eb0f825_flash_display_Sprite is not defined.
    How do I solve this?
I'd be very grateful for any help or clues you can provide.
I'm running the latest flash player (version 10,0,42,34) and I'm on Win 7 x64.

    Hi,
If you are using Flash Builder, please go to Project->Properties->Build Path->Library Path->Framework Linkage and select 'Merged into code'.
    This is a known issue:
    http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-24795
    Hope this helps
