PE 9 Edit Workspace

One day, all worked fine. Next day JPEG files which had previously loaded into the workspace would not do so. I finally used my program CD and removed PE9 and reinstalled it. No help. and now the PE9 Organizer will not open at all. No files will open for editing at all. The space just stays gray.
Second issue - I attempt to log in but continue to get unavailable. Try later. Later never comes. Am I considered a second rate user because I am using Elements and not the full blown Photoshop? I would love to use Photoshop if I had unlimited funds.
Anyone have any ideas. It appears that Adobe does not provide any way to contact them directly. If anyone knows of an application that provides capabilities similar to PE, I would like to know. I'm tired of a program that doesn't work, and a very large company that doesn't seem to care if it does or not - at least I can't contact them to find out.

I'm not sure about your first problem, but the log in problem is because photoshop.com is dead and gone, has been for months now. You should have gotten a bunch of emails about any photos there getting moved to revel, but you can't use revel from within PSE 9. More here:

The blog was incorrect. Photomerge should work in the trial, too.
When things get weird in PSE the first thing to do is to delete the prefs. Go to the editor preferences>general, click this button and restart the editor:

how do I get raw NEF files (from Nikon) to open in the edit workspace of elements 8? I have windows 7 , and when I try to open NEF raw files from the viewer, it says cannot recognize the file type.

What is your camera model? Every camera has its own raw format and the raw converter must be updated to work with it. If your camera model was new in the past couple of years PSE 8 won't be able to open those files directly.

Editing Workspace in Premiere Pro CS4 not working.

When I start Premiere Pro all the workspaces work except the Editing workspace, all I see is this:

Problems importing Bitmaps into Editing Workspace

Hello, I Hope someone can help me.
I am using Photoshop Elements 6 and I have captured literally hundreds of BMP Files from a home made video.
I am trying to produce a number of animated sequences by removing the background to leave the subject matter which I then intend to overlay onto a new background in a series of frames.
The Problem I am having is that when I try to view the image in the Editing Workspace, the image resolution is distorted and stretched out horizontally!
The original file is 640 X 480 Pixels and around 900Kb. I am using Windows XP SP2 with 512MB Ram and 3.06Ghz Pentium 4.
I can view the thumbnails in the organiser OK but for some reason when I go to edit it appears as a thin line across the editing workspace at 1%. When I have tried to edit the Image Size it is showing the Document Size as being 0.18cm Wide by 0.14cm High with a resolution of 8902.125 !!!!pixels/inch when it should be about 72?
I have imported one of the BMP files into Fireworks and exported it as a PNG then edited it in PE with no problem.
I can also import JPEG files directly into PE and edit without any problems.
I have just spent over a hour on the phone to Adobe Technical Support who could not help me.
I have un-installed and re-installed and it has not solved the problem.
Has anybody got any ideas please so I do not have to re-save every file as a PNG or do you know of an alternative method of producing the animation?

Are you saying that the problem is with BMP files only?
Did you tried to edit the same file in other editors like Photoshop or any other??
Try to crop the same file in Organizer, if it works reset editor preferences and try again...

I recently updated Photoshop Elements 11 to Elements 12. I am able to get into the Organizer workspace but cannot get into Edit workspace. Why?

Restart your machine(would close any extra processes) and verify if you are able to launch Editor.
If still not successful, you will have to delete the content in the folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache” (there are some hidden files also in this folder also,make sure you delete all of them)
Deleting this folder might need you to license your other Adobe products again.

The Edit Workspace

I cannot access the edit workspace. I get an error message saying it's an invalid address. This just happened today and I don't know why. It is an old program..but I've never had a problem before. Any ideas?

I am still not clear on the exact program that you have.
Is it Photoshop version 4.0 (hopefully updated to 4.0.1), Photoshop CS 4, or Photoshop Elements 4.0?

NetWeaver Developer Edition: Workspace Server Error every 2 Minutes

I installed SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit - Developer Edition on Windows XP 32 Bit in a Virtual Machine with Virtual Box. My Host hase got 8 GB RAM and 4 x >3Ghz Processor and I gave 4GB Ram and 2 Cores to the Virtual Machine. 
The Installation was ok and the Systems works. But now I began to do some exercises (Add 2 Tables and some Types) and now Windows tells me after 2 Minutes I'm logged on Disp+Work.Exe --> an error occured. Then the SAP Workspace Server is rebooted and I can log on for the next 2 minutes.

Now I saw in syslog in SAPMMC that when I start the ApplicationServer "NSP" ive got an Error:
"Communications data: Service initialization failed" (Process Type RD, PID 03356 , Message ID S10 But message_server.exe and disp+work.exe are running green and i can log on into sap. and then after 1 minute the explaned error occurs.(WorkspaceProcess is restarted and sapsession breaks down - i have to log on again)

Please check the value of the parameter PHYS_MEMSIZE in the file <Drive>:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\profile\NSP_DVEBMGS00_testsap . Set the value to 2048M. Also set the page file size to 10GB. Ensure you have space on disk to allocate space for paging.

Edit Workspace Problem

How do I get my photo in the edit work
space over to the far left?. I can't get it out of the mid
dle of the workspace. It makes it very difficult to use my rulers when cropping?

When I select "Maximum Editing Workspace" in CC, Audition Crashes.

This is the second issue in two months. Any suggestions? Many thanks...in the middle of an edit session.

I restarted PC (no joy) then shut down PC. When Audition was restarted, I edited with the "default" workspace until I finished my project. Closed Audition, re-opened Audition and was able to open the "Multi-Window" workspace.
VERY strange. I did have an issue last month. Support logged in remotely and re-set the program (I lost ALL of my presets...I should have anticipated that possibility). I am a bit concerned about long term stability??!! I have since purchased Twisted Wave as a backup for my MAC PRO.
To answer your original question - NO to videos, Nvidia GeForce GT 640 card and YES, Windows 8.1 (not the best OS Windows has produced).

Edit workspace window isn't there when I open elements

When I go to open my elements, the workspace window is not there at all, it's an empty space. In fact you can what is behind the elements program. Like for instance if I have my e-mail open than you can see my e-mail. The tool bar is there, so id the bin and the edit presets on the right are there, but main window were you would open for a photo. I have a mac by the way.

Well, that's actually the preferred way for most mac folks, but go to window>application frame.

Hey guys! A practical question i don't know how to solve. When I open up illustrator, it works completely fine, thats not the problem. the problem is, the screen where I see and edit my images/projects. It is a floating around screen, its like a separate thing. I've seen video tutorials on the web and there I see that the illustrator interface is one big window, like photoshop or after effects. How do I make this happen? Is it possible? I have tried everything! Thanks in advance for some good tips!
